I asked if he knew who dabi has, and she rolled her eyes and told me that yes, she knows he's touya, and that he used to be friends with keigo as kids!

She was very confused when I told her that... no, they weren't. They didn't know each other until adulthood. She insisted that she'd seen a video of them as kids together. I told her it was probably a fan animation, because a lot of people thought Dabi and Hawks knew each other as kids, since Dabi was the only one who knew hawks' real name. But it turned out he just tracked his mom down in secret. She insists that this is stupid, once again confirming that the "dabihawks secret childhood friends/rivals" theory is the only time fanon has ever been better than canon.

What if. …

Phantom listens, and eventually peeks his head around the corner to watch. Cirrus and Cumulus seated together on the creaky velvet bench in front of the upright piano, playing together.

He loves the sound. All of the keyboards and synthesizers are cool. But this is different, it feels organic, vibration, air and space. Something about it feels like his own magic and he doesn’t know why.

And even though he knows the keys are made of something hard, they look soft to the touch. And he wants to touch them.

He rounds the corner and sees the vacant bench and decides to chance it. Lifts the lid and hits a single key. Rationally, he should anticipate the sound, but it makes him jump nonetheless.

He tries to apply what he knows to produce a chord. But it’s all a little bit confusing. Unfamiliar in a way. His fingers try to find the right places on their own but thankfully there’s two ghoulettes watching him from the doorway who are willing to help.

They speak and he jumps again and apologizes. Of course they tell him there’s nothing to apologize for. They offer to teach him and he accepts. They make him a notebook that has alternates sheets of staff and lined pages.

They litter the pages with little notes of encouragement or tips, written in colourful gel ink. They plaster the sheets with stickers. Soon he learns he prefers minor scales because they sounds a little sad but very pretty. And he loves the damper pedal because it makes the notes linger in his ears long after he’s struck the keys.

He has an end game. He didn’t at first. But now he can’t wait to show Dew what he can do. For him to lead Dew to the bench and play for him. Because he isn’t quite sure he could ever impress Dew with a guitar. That maybe, Dew would focus on the sound rather than his technique.

Maybe it’s embarrassing, how eager he is to please. But just once he wants Dew to be the one watching in awe as his hands move. To feel just a little of what Phantom feels when he watches Dew play.

Okay but, something funny to consider: Jax and Gill's Dad was a fairy tale buff. He taught his kids that all stories are true.

Thus, Jax already KNOWS the legend of the Silver-Eyed Warriors, but also probably has a VERY skewed idea of what Ruby's actual abilities are.

Something to consider about this is that it's pretty clear at this point that NOBODY has any real solid idea what exactly Ruby's, or the rest of the Silver Eye Warriors actual abilities are. Even Ruby and Maria, who have more information on the topic than literally ANY Silver Eyed Warrior in history thanks to Jinn, only have a pretty basic theory as to the origins of their eyes, which itself is clearly only a small piece of the story. I've explored this in previous posts already, but I'm positive at this point that there is a LOT more to the Silver Eyes than just 'anti-Grimm lasers' that Ruby will be figuring out going forward.

But going back to your point, yeah it's pretty fun to imagine what Jax's reaction to Ruby might be. Dude's spent most of his life at this point on an ego-trip in his personal hype-train building up that he's got this big, important noble 'destiny' as the 'true king of Vacuo'.

Buuuttt, NOW he's found himself 'opposed' by someone who isn't just some rival leader with a local cult of her own, but who is uniting the entire world. A girl who seems to have a background steeped in the greatest legends of Remnant's past. A girl who seems to have a heroic destiny so great it likely makes even Jax's delusions of grandeur seem small and petty by comparison. And that's not even going into what Jax might believe the Silver Eyed Warriors to be capable of.

Basically, I get the feeling that Jax's view of Ruby is probably going to be somewhere between 'seething, obsessive jealousy' and 'abject TERROR'. XD

so much of what happened holds great significance not only to harry but to every single one of us. him acknowledging the flags, asking the fans to hold them up proudly, and thanking the audience for creating such a safe environment at his shows -- all these things weren't done in solidarity alone, they came from the heart of someone who's very much in the same community as us. he wants those flags there, he wants that pride there, he wants this safe space for both himself and for us, as has been the case for years now. the speech that he gave today came from a place of familiarity, he couldn't have said those words in the way that he did if he were just an ally. it was one of the very few times he acknowledged the flags using his words and i think that's monumental. rainbows are basically synonymous to harry's concerts now and it's because we felt safe and proud enough to do it and he wanted us to do it because he feels safe and proud too. i hope every single person who's been part of this fandom knows just how important whatever you do is. you are all important.

i’m so frustrated with people’s lack of common sense about wildlife. if you’re interacting with wildlife, you’re not having your disney princess moment. you’re not forming a magical bond. that’s a wild animal who is potentially terrified; maybe it’s curious if it’s young enough, but that just means you should minimise interactions as much as possible to make sure that animal lives a normal life. if your kid comes in holding a wild animal, don’t pick up your fucking phone to videotape it. bring the animal back outside and educate your kid to leave animals alone. you know what happens when you take in wildlife as a “pet”? either you keep it and do damage because even though it’s “tame” it’s a wild animal who is in no way meant to live in that setting unless it’s being kept by a trained and licensed rehabber who knows the housing and feeding requirements (and even then i’ve seen some who are keeping animals irresponsibility), or it ends up at a wildlife rehab when you inevitably harm it enough that you don’t know what to do, or when no vets see you, or when the animal becomes too aggressive for you to handle. and then we either figure out how to rehabilitate an animal whose temperament and/or body you have massively damaged or we euthanise it because the damage is too extensive. start treating wildlife like wild animals rather than a dog or cat. they’re not pets, they’re not domesticated, leave them alone and let them live happy lives as they’re supposed to.

ultimately, i think he'd see gemma getting full-blown into magic as a failure on his part, and as a betrayal of his sister's wishes for her. (a betrayal by him, not by gemma.) and john reacts to his own failures by trying to correct them at any cost, regardless of who else's decisions were involved. so he'd be upset, definitely guilty, definitely exasperated and shit-scared for her, maybe a little angry. he's never going to want her to see all the awful, awful shit that he's had to, that he knows she will see if she continues, and he might even sabotage her at points to try and drive her out of the life; just social, high-school-clique stuff, getting important connections like clarice to refuse dealings with her, scaring off artifact brokers, things like that.

but i do think eventually john would come to realize that if gemma's determined to be an occultist, and a serious one at that — which, even john doesn't think of his magic as a full-time gig — then it'd be better for her to want to come to him for advice or assistance, knowing he'd always be willing to help, than for her to want to keep him in the dark as much as possible, knowing there's a non-zero chance of him being a pain in the ass to her about her future plans. he knows that gemma's smart, and savvy, and as well aware as he is by now that people will lie, cheat, steal, and kill to get what they want in this world; despite his inclination towards overprotectiveness, i think he'd come to trust that she can keep herself alive. bottom line, he'd end up working to establish himself in her orbit as a conflicted but stalwart source of backup, information, and offered comfort, so that she never has to go it alone the way he often has.

(i also think he might be secretly relieved that there's another constantine on the scene to take on the hard jobs, the endless violence, the ceaseless horrors. he'd be guilty as hell about feeling that way, because that's his niece and he doesn't want her seeing any of it, but it'd mean he could maybe retire from the constant vigil knowing there's someone he trusts handling things. and maybe become gemma's link back to normalcy in the same way cheryl was for him, if the retirement lasts.)

and, again, he'd come to be so proud of her. sometimes you just can't walk away from knowing something bad is happening, he knows that better than anyone, and to see that quality in gemma would lighten his heart tremendously.

Wren would probably do that, to Daniel at least!Pretending to be Daniel's loving partner would make his skin crawl, but it would he worth it in his eyes and Daniel would let his guard down, especially if Wren accepted his proposal as well. Wren would be scared to make his move and kill Daniel, knowing that if he failed he would most likely lose his hand and he'd never get another chance again. He'd be so relieved after succeeding.

I can see him ambushing Berkeley, tying him up, maybe muzzling him as well and tasing him a few times, but I don't think he'd kill him, just give him a good scare. Wren thinks that facing the consequences of his actions alive is a way better punishment for Berkeley, as tempting as getting his revenge quickly seems.

What are the turtles' personalities in your AU?

Okay so-the complicated answer is my AU actually has two sets of turtles. And the short answer will just be me rambling about the main boys, so I’ll do that AHA

Mikey is the oldest! So he’s a very laidback party dude, his priorities are usually that everyone around him is having a good time. He’s not the type to try get his siblings to act responsibly, more so acting as strong background support while letting them be independent-he’s sort of? Developed into a people pleaser, but very much still a silly fun loving lil guy with a mischievous side. His charisma stat is basically maxed out, and he’s not above using that to his advantage

Raph is a mixture of wise guy and overconfident fighter AHA. He always just wants to do his own thing so it’s basically impossible to get him to listen to orders, he’s competitive and reckless, but while he has the usual Raphael anger it’s more of a slow burning holding a grudge type. He’s extremely passionate about fighting for those who can’t defend themselves so he’s super empathetic because of this, basically he’s very sensitive under the bravo, but also just. Yeah, he’s a comedy loving goofball, this is the 87!Raph blog okay we’re gonna get a boy very inspired by him

Leo is…one of the harder? Ones for me to describe? He’s very focused and practical, and he gets easily frustrated because in this version he isn’t regarded to have much authority at the start. He dedicated basically his entire life to training, so while he’s already a master at his craft he can be very awkward and lost in social situations or any situation beyond this. Eventually though he starts to loosen up and stop repressing the more adrenaline and fun loving side of him-it’s kind of? Like he has a reverse Rise!Leo arc LMAO, he goes from serious leader to total loser dork-I mean, cool guyyyy

Donnie’s the youngest! Without like, getting into the whole backstory, he basically starts out with zero fighting experience by the time the “ shows” plot starts, so he’s very guy in the chair at the start and needs to learn to trust his own abilities and step out of his comfort zone. Beyond that though, he’s a very snarky and deadpan Donnie, who’ll always do everything in his power to help someone once he sets himself to the task. He’s also kind of a dramatic little shIT
