They have to re-learn how to be with each other, and figure out if they even want that and it's SO!!!!

There’s a proliferation of post-retirement outsider POV fics in the YoI fandom. This is one of my favourites, and aceofjapan does a great job of it.
The fic
As in most examples of the trope, Yuuri goes back to college post retirement and totally doesn’t tell anyone about his past as a figure skating legend. This example has a particularly charming OC, whose opinions while watching Yuuri’s classmates swoon all over him, and later while watching the cutefest that is Victuuri, take the whole thing up a notch of enjoyment.
The reading
There’s just something about aceofjapan’s voice that I enjoy. Their accent is lovely, and their delivery is gentle and musing. This piece is more lighthearted than most of the work they choose to podfic, but the tone still works really well. Bonus points for a pitch-perfect grumpy Yurio!

Hawkeye's voice was so soft, Ed almost didn't hear it through the static clouding his head. He took a moment to breathe.
"Not often", he finally said. "This storm's a bad one, but usually I could just take it easy for the day. Get some rest. It passes. Just—"
He cut himself off with a sigh.
"Just …?", Hawkeye prompted after a moment when he didn't continue.
Edward grimaced. "Well, the shitheads who have it out for me rudely don't give a fuck if I'm having a bad day or not. Really we should make them sign up on a schedule. Attempted murder on fair days only, please."

Edward knows not to push himself too much when the rain makes his scars ache and the strain of the automail on his body unbearable. Really, he does. It's just … sometimes he's not given a choice.

here is my piece for the spooder-man server exchange, a gift for @karinaisloud!!
It wasn‘t like seeing Spider-Man around was something particularly unusual in Queens. Everyone did at some point or another.
Nonetheless she couldn‘t help feeling a strange kind of attachment to the friendly neighbourhood helper. Kind of like that regular at the café that you always see around and you‘ve never talked to but sometimes you nod to each other and when they‘re not around for a while you wonder vaguely if they‘re doing okay.
Kind of like that.
Anyway, once that strange parasocial attachment had been formed, Lauren couldn‘t help her curiosity. Her interest. So she watched him sometimes when she saw him around. Only for a while. Only when she had nothing else to do. And not in a creepy way.
Just—people watching. Like you‘d do sitting on a bench or looking out the window, watching the people mill past. Only Spidey-specific. Spidey watching.
