i know there's no real answer but i'm using your blog to ask girlflux people a question: can one be girlflux and still identify as cis?
yes and no.
If a girlfux person who's afab identifies 100% or is even 80% with being a girl one day then sure I guess? But to me it doesn't really sense because their gender as a whole isn't cis and falls under the trans umbrella. If it's a girlflux person who's amab then I'm assuming no. Just think of it in the way of genderfluid people - (as far as I'm aware) genderfluid people don't identify as cis even if one day they align with their agab.
To be fair that's just my opinion, and for more context I don't ever identify as cisgender so...
The girlflux gender as a whole should not be seen as some knock off cisgender girls who just want attention because a) that erases the amab girlflux people and b) we aren't, we genuinly feel this way, sometimes we aren't femmine at all, and sometimes we are!
Have a good day/night!

Yeah I guess that would be feeling like a lack of gender but I don't like feel like I missing something or whatever, I just don't really understand gender? But I wouldn't feel comfortable saying I'm agender or something bc I don't feel like I don't have a gender. I just don't get it ig? I'm afab and fine being a girl but I don't feel "wow I'm such a girl. I feel so female!" I'm just a girl just bc I was raised that way I think. That is probably either a very cis thing or a very agender thing lol
I giggled I bit when I read your response! Perhaps it's a little bit of both? I'm also kinda at a loss here I'm not going to lie, but if you feel like you want some more answers the gender wiki is always a good place to start! They have a lot of genders on their wiki, so you might be searching for a while. Another place worth checking out, is the pronouns page - if you ever struggle with pronouns that's a good place to start!
Keep us updated if you want, if you need anymore help we're always open! Just know that you are always welcomed here!

So I just found out about girlflux and it sounds so much like me. I’m a cis girl and temporarily identified as a non-binary femme label because I wasn’t comfortable with entirely giving up being called girl, but I didn’t feel like one at the same time. It’s like I like being a girl and all the body parts that come with it, but I don’t feel like one. Or sometimes I have I don’t care what you call me pronoun wise as long as it’s not he/him attitude towards my gender. It’s just so weird finding others who relate to this feeling.
Ya, I know what you mean! When I first found this label myself I just thought; "What the hell?" Because to me it didn't make sense at first, after a while I found that I did indeed like this label and that I wanted to use it! It takes time getting used to the feeling that you aren't alone not just within the girlflux community but it the lgbtq+ community as a whole, and sometimes I still forget that myself. The best way to go about anything is to set up support system's whether it be through this blog, or through a couple of (trusted) friends online or offline. It's a good way to vent, and to have a place to go to, to just talk.

this might be a stupid question but if i'm afab and girlflux, is that under the trans umbrella? sometimes i feel like i'm "not trans enough" to consider myself to be under the trans umbrella
If you identify with anything other than your birth gender then you are under the trans umbrella! And remember you are never "not trans enough" - that's really just a harmful stereotype that's developed over the years. There's no way to act transgender or anything like that and you don't even have to go out of your way to be what some people's version of a trans person is! We're all different don't place restraints on yourself! Just be you!
