I'm thinking about Jean. About how much pain he suffered. And how he lives with it. That all the good things in this world are incomprehensible and unknown to him. All he knows in life is suffering and submission. He doesn't dare to speak, he doesn't dare to think.

I can't stop thinking about Jeremy and how sincerely he's trying to help Jean. How carefully he trying to get through all darkness surrounding Jean. How he choose every single word for Jean and how softly and gently showing Jean all the good things.Chapter 14 is so beautiful and terrible at the same time. I can see how hard is for Jean and how he can’t handle this.

But I'm so glad he has Cat Laila and Jeremy now.

And maybe he doesn't understand them, but he's with them now. He sees how they communicate with each other and with him. How they behave and what they do. He sees how it can be. And even if he doesn't understand, it's good for him. All that cooking with Cat, shopping trips, the “Barkbark” that Jeremy puts in jean’s room every time. And it breaks my heart and putting it together that for the first time he decided not to go into the room after dinner but stayed sitting with them in the living room.

Jean deserves all the best in the world. And am so happy that he have this house and this people!

I haven't finished the book yet, I just wanted to share my feelings and thoughts after 14 chapters.

One of my teachers in primary school made this one really tall guy sit down any time she was giving out to him because she didn’t feel authoritative enough looking up at an 11 year old and like, The Possibilities - I don’t know which is funnier

Aaron just,,, casually standing on a chair when giving Neil the shovel talk (like every. Single. Time. he needs to appear threatening he just finds high ground it’s almost a talent - there’s no chairs? Annoy Aaron he’ll find one)

OR Jeremy Knox captain TM of the USC exy team asking 6ft something Jean Moreau to please sit down before giving out to him yet again about how even if he gets away with fowling it’s still not the spirit they’re trying to bring

I was watching the Trojans vs Foxes game the other day (I never finished so I don’t know the outcome) and it was doing a camera on in the teams and it showed Jeremy doing grabby hands at Jean, whose face you couldn’t see but you could tell he was rolling his eyes. He did end up giving him a hug though.
