something about the fact that Jean, who was forced to repress his attraction to boys, ended up on a team where anyone can have feelings for whoever they want without discrimination, makes me want to scream.

Let’s talk about the sunshine court
Pt 2
THE TROJANS
I need to talk about the Trojans
Okay, so I’m not good at sports, I don’t like them so I know absolutely nothing about how sport teams work or whatever. My only reference for that were the foxes and the ravens (both not the ideal)
It was so weird seeing Trojans be nice? And having all of that stuff, like a gym for themselves and the court and so many people on the team, and actually be college students and not just players.
That last part, probably has to do with the fact that Jean is not as obsessed with Exy as Neil, because, although he feels the need to play and be amazing, he doesn’t love the sport. So a lot of Jean’s narration is not focused on Exy
But yeah, like the ravens are a cult, the foxes have A LOT of trauma to deal with, and like, their relationship is more aggressive, yes they care about each other, they would kill for each other (they would, change my mind) but they would also kill each other (sometimes)
And then the Trojans are just trying to manage being a student and a player, and they actually, you know, cool and clean the house, drink boba tea, go to the beach, worry about their classes, watch movies, listen to music.
Of course they all have their own trauma and stuff, like Lucas being Grayson’s brother or whatever Jeremy has going on at home. But they are still really nice.
And my favorite part? How they are so accommodating to Jean.
You need to eat healthy because they drilled that into your head? No worries, we will find a meal plan that works for everything
You need to be with someone from the team in all your classes because you are traumatized? Don’t worry, I will find you a list of who is in which class so you can always have someone from the team in your class and I will be in the only one that’s left even when it has absolutely nothing to do with my degree
You need to have a partner? I’ll be your partner
You had a rough day? Let’s go to the beach in my motorcycle, because life is still good
You cannot swim because they fucking tortured you? Don’t worry, I will find something else for you to do
Like, they just met him and loved him and showed him that he can live and not just survive
(I don’t know if anything I wrote makes sense, but whatever)

after meeting more of the trojans in the sunshine court, I want the foxes and trojans to have a joint training camp during their off season. I want them all to become besties so bad!

i think i can say that we all would love the idea of a Trojan getting a red card for the first time for protecting Jean...so here is how I imagine it:
First of all, who's getting red carded? I imagine either Catalina (ofc her friendship with jean is >>>) or Jeremy (ofc bc of my jerejean heart with jeremy protective bf ) but I like to think that Lucas is a valid option too yk I mean after the whole Grayson thing I think he understood that the rumors were all fake and Jean went through hell and he has a short temper so is not an unreasonable situation.
NOW why I think Jeremy is the best possibility? I like to think he gets it during the semi-final against the Ravens. So if they lose the match, it's gonna be Jeremy's last match as a Trojan bc it's his 5th year, and if they win, he won't play the final. So, getting a red card for the first time in the last match of your life in the team is something really meanful and will have a big impact on the public. Plus, Jeremy is a striker, so if they play against the Ravens, there are high chances of getting marked by Grayson, aka Jean's abuser.
Now, how does it happen? imagine with me this scenario: they are not fighting for the ball bc it's on the other side of the court, so they are just standing next to each other watching their teammates ready to receive the ball, then Grayson opens his mouth and says something really awful when Jean gets the ball. Like some really bad joke about his abuse/sex joke or him using Jean as he pleases, so something really really disgusting and out of line. Jeremy tries not to listen, but he can't stand it. He can't stand hearing the horrible things Grayson is saying bc he knows they are real bc he knows about Jean being abused, so he losts it and punches him in the face and they start to throw hands at each other and once the others notice them they stop the game and take them a part. Everyone is waiting for the referee to give Grayson a red card for punching first but he gives it to Jeremy and everyone is shocked bc how could the sunshine captain gets red carded at the semifinal in his last year in the championship?? What happened between them that made him throw a punch first and risk not to play in the final match bc of a red card??? Jeremy then gets benched, and when the coaches try to ask him what's wrong, he says nothing too furious at Grayson for doing all those horrible things to Jean.
When the match is over the Trojans get to play in the final against the Foxes, the coach doesn't want him to talk to the press, but he insists, and he just says that he doesn't regret punching Grayson even if it means not being able to play the final and adds that he is sorry if he let down the Trojans fans and reputation but he couldn't stand listening to an abuser joking about the things he has done to an innocent person. His revelation leaves everyone shocked.
