and miscellaneous designs i havent given a final sheet to yet!! taranza and dark taranza r based off more fantasy victorian (? medieval???) clothing, susie is holographic bc i didnt want to give her gray shading n her limbs r all floaty (i imagine shes always making some weird electric noise due to that), gooey is just like cute tbh? their cape is based off their mock matter form, chuchus hair is based off the shape the octopus species she apparently is has, i dont have any notable commentary for drawcia or claycia (was that her name) other than drawcia is like a paint blob.also claycias supposed to be way chubbier but i underestimated how huge her coat would look.gotta fix that

Vee!! I saw Top Gun 2 yesterday and would love to hear your thoughts 😍😍

OKAY OMG. you probably weren’t expecting this much stuff, but you gave me a chance to talk about it so here goes.

first off, spoilers for top gun maverick, be warned.

So. lol. I'll preface this by saying that my thoughts on this absolutely arent objective in any way... i waited 3 (t h r e e) whole years for this movie to come out and honestly up until i was sitting in the movie theater i still thought they would push it out again, didnt feel real lmao

now a few of my thoughts, in no particular order:

i arrive at the cinema. i sit down. the lights go out. i lean over to my friend. i whisper: i hope they play Danger Zone. they HAVE to. my friend agrees. the movie starts, and lo and behold, the first notes of Danger Zone reach my ears. My crops are watered, my skin is clear. i look to my friend, we nod at each other. we turn back to the screen. we understand. we know this’ll be good.

Thought 1 flows neatly into Thought 2, which is that they knew exactly what kind of movie they were making. like, the main target audience for this movie were Dads™ and they hit the right balance between making it attractive in terms of nostalgia vs. new stuff. i think i saw a letterboxd review that phrased it like "having references to the original without being distracting" and that’s exactly what i felt like (see re: the Danger Zone example). And also: iconic homoerotic beach volleyball scene set to the tune of "playing with the boys"? turned into fun football scene on the beach set to New Music From Today (which was good, but the whole scene could've been gayer imo.)

sure. it's basically military propaganda, i know, we all know, it is known. It still looks cool as hell, i love people flying planes and say smart stuff and click a lot of buttons that look very complex and professional

AND that opening was so perfectly maverick i love it. he just HAD to push a little further

it was SO FUNNY at times! there were sincere (and at times cheesy) parts, but there were a few really funny moments that worked really well

rly liked all the new young pilots, though i expected them to focus a little more on them? but tbh it worked as it is, i didnt really felt like too much was missing (again, maybe a lil homoeroticism but you cant have everything)

Listen. Jennifer Connelly. Penny. Her character was... well. I liked her! But also. Well, she was a lil two dimensional, but idk? Or maybe its bc she was the love interest of Tom Cruise, who i really cant imagine in any kind of romantic relationship, no matter what movie he's in. I didnt really expect too much and i felt like it was done alright. it was solid.

(also... i kinda dont like tom cruise as a person, mainly bc of the whole scientology thing, but lets not get into that here. no negativity in this ask)

ofc ICEMAN!! RIP my man. Obviously wished he was in the movie more but *waves at the real life complications with Val Kilmer* still though, mav and ice texted throughout the movie and it was. so gay. like, i've read fanfiction that might have had these exact messages in them lmao

also. the whole thing about ice and mav? like we all expected there to be more of a rivalry, but they're just out here texting and chilling with each other. good for them.

i'd say thats quite recent. i mean, grief doesnt really have some kind of 'expiration date' if you will. if it still hurts, it hurts. doesnt rly matter how many years tbh. but yea date-wise, sure i'd say it be quite recent.

yes! i feel very grateful i got such a long time with majority of them. the youngest i had to put to sleep was, its gonna be 3 years in june, he only got to become 2 years old. i was destroyed by his death. because he was so young. and another younger one i had to say goodbye to was 5 years old. i do believe though that the average lifespan of a piggie is about 6-8 years. so even 6 years is quite old for them.

what?? i had no idea! all i was told it was due to age. however that veterinary clinic has been soooo sketchy for years i refuse to take me pigs there, or even our cat anymore. yall they were so insensitive when my pig was having seizures due to something in his ears, or brain? idk really, he was old though, 8 years old and this one fucking vet was like 'he has outlived his time hasnt he' like no lol....if i could save him, i would. age doesnt matter unless surgery is involved.

jesus i will never understand how people can watch stuff like that and not pass out hahahaha i'd have hit the floor before they even started haha.

about your tag if i ever had a skinny, no i havent! however when i was looking for pigs i saw somebody who sold skinnies and that is the first time i ever seen one for real i think. however i have followed some youtubers who had skinnies and, im not really sure how to take care of them as i recall her saying something like you gotta put coconut oil on them so they dont become dry and whatnot? idek haha

but yes grief does not have an expiration date! and im sorry you had to put him to sleep, a very hard choice to do but its always for their benefit. a lot of people choose to be selfish and refuse to put their pet down just to be with them for a couple of more days.. even tho their pet is suffering. what im saying is that putting him to sleep was probably best for him, now hes resting somewhere peacefully! and im sure hes grateful for the life you could give him and that you were there for him when he left ^^

also sorry you had that vet experience. but its not uncommon for vets to suggest an old animal be put to sleep, especially if they are prone to having seizures which could be very hard on a small animal. but i didn’t experience what you did, so i cant really say much… doctors just become so familiar with death that they seem insensitive. its tough for all of us.

but if you feel uncomfortable with your vet, its okay to find another! do what you think is best for your family <3

and wait do you watch skinnypigs1 😭 cuz thats the youtuber i watch and i always admired them, it takes a ton if devotion to care for all those pigs she has. and usually a few of her pigs had special needs ofc like her skinny pigs… i think she uses coconut oil for them tho but i don’t remember. there was a video of her rubbing one of her naked little guys with some type of moisturizer

also oooo I love this question okay. so like u mentioned this when I asked abt what Eric n Daniel's relationship would b like post-trap, but I think it's very very good fr Daniel 2 like. see tht Eric has ppl who love him n who don't mind helping him when he needs it n who are THERE fr him bc again, like you've mentioned, seeing a parent so utterly shattered th way Eric was after his trap is incredibly difficult, esp for a kid (though Daniel is like. at least seventeen? still). knowing tht his dad has a good support system n is surrounded by ppl tht care abt him helps put him at ease bc he knows he can trust Adam n Art. he knows they'll keep Eric safe n tht they'll help him to heal, tht they love him n want 2 see him do well n get better. plus, Daniel knows tht if he needs to talk 2 some1 abt how difficult seeing his dad like tht is, he knows both Adam n Art r there fr him and tht helps a lot. of course, he also has Rigg + maybe Hoffman (until th whole. u know.), but they don't live w Eric. they don't see him every day th way Art n Adam do. that's not 2 say they don't know Eric is struggling, but there is a difference btwn them n Eric's boyfriends. basically, Daniel is very much grateful fr Art + Adam.

I feel like Art wld be VERY good at lending an ear fr when Daniel needs 2 talk. whether that be abt their trap + tht whole experience, Eric's trap n the consequences/rough aftermath, just plain venting, etc.; Art is there 2 listen to them + offer a solution if they want one. most times I think Daniel just wants to b listened to, esp when it comes to what they went thru in the Nerve Gas House - tht's smth they don't feel comfortable discussing w Eric right away fr obvious reasons, but therapy can only do so much. I think th two of them have more in common than they might realize at first, bc hey, Art Killed A Man Because Trevor Was Going To Kill Him If He Didn't, and Daniel Killed A Man Because Xavier Would Have Killed Both Them And Amanda If They Didn't. I feel like Art is like. very reserved abt th details of his first trap + how they affected him (and th second one tbh; it's not smth he vocalizes often at all), but fr Daniel he wld gladly talk abt it if it meant Daniel didn't feel alone. if it meant it could help them, reassure them that hey, it wasn't yr fault, u did what u had to, n I know tht can be hard 2 believe right now n that's okay. u need to process things at yr own pace.

and so Art tells them abt the Mausoleum, bares a part of himself he keeps locked away where he doesn't often give it much thought/actively ignores it. n I think tht's healing fr him too, maybe. there's solace in tht shared experience, as horrible as it was in th moment. 2 know there's someone out there who has even th faintest inkling of what u went thru + what u had to do to survive. of course Daniel relates 2 Adam fr this reason too, but like. Art will use his Lawyer Voice n make sure Daniel understands tht what they did doesn't make them a bad person or confirm tht Jigsaw Was Right And They Deserved It. n tht's rly important fr Daniel 2 hear, esp early on. it's honestly one of th first times Art is truly honest abt his feelings on th matter + the Mausoleum, n it's just. a step tht much closer to healing for both of them.

family traditions!!! they do have a few! in the summer, every sunday they have Daniel w them, Eric Art n Adam go out fr ice cream, even if they get it at the drive thru n eat it in th car bc none of them want 2 be around all th people/sit outside in th muggy weather. it's a good way to get them all out of th house fr a little while, something enjoyable tht doesn't require too much energy or even interaction. it's just smth nice they can do where they're all together n chilling n just enjoying each other's company!

this is mostly a Daniel one but every year around April Fools he just. puts fucking googly eyes on everything. n every time some1 discovers some, it doesn't matter where in th house he is, u can hear him cackle abt it. Adam thinks it's an absolute delight n has assisted on multiple occasions. tht's abt as far as pranks go fr them, bc none of them like surprises like that, but god is it ever hilarious 2 hear Eric frm the kitchen while Art Adam n Daniel r in the living room when he says "I found another one!" while he's looking fr smth in the fridge kjdkfsf.

holidays!! every Christmas they all sit down in th living room n watch a couple of movies w the blankets spread out on th floor w snacks n hot chocolate. the first Christmas following his trap, Eric was sat on th couch between Adam n Art while Daniel chose to sprawl out on th floor, n he just looked around at his boyfriends n his son n the fake pine tree they had all decorated together n he like. needs to take a moment bc this is it. this is all he cld ever want out of life right here. this is a level of peace Eric never knew he wld ever be able to reach after what he went thru fr those six months. n he just sort of presses his face into Art's shoulder n breathes thru it. he doesn't even have to say anything fr Adam n Art to know what he's thinking bc Adam's hand is on his arm n Art's resting his cheek against th top of his head, n he might cry a little, but he's happy. surrounded by th ppl he loves n who love him, love him enough to keep the lights down low n the volume on th television soft, to use subtitles so he doesn't get overwhelmed, Eric realizes he has a home n it's just. oof.

fr Valentine's Day, this one was actually Adam's idea initially: wht they do is take sticky notes n write little affirmations on thm fr each other, n stick thm in places where they'll see it. sometimes Daniel joins in on this one, but usually it's an Art Eric Adam thing. so like it'll be little things, like a note frm Adam telling Eric how proud he is of him, or one from Art letting Adam know he couldn't have had a better best friend, or th one from Eric that thanks th both of thm fr helping him w his rashes + helping him 2 accept tht part of him n start to see it as nothing to be ashamed of. it starts on th first day of February and ends on Valentine's Day itself, n sometimes they get those packs of cards u get fr kids just to write goofy shit on thm to pass back n forth n make each other laugh. they also get th discounted candy!! (Adam steals all th twix bars tho. tht's okay bc Eric likes snickers anyway n Art is fond of reese's peanut butter cups. they share th sweet tarts + conversation hearts!)

Halloween is when they get a big bowl of candy 2 leave on th porch fr the kids who're trick-or-treating while th three of them stay inside (+Daniel sometimes!) n watch some classics, like their Christmas tradition. they Also add in some bad movies 2 mix it up a lil bit bc sometimes u just need a laugh. I am like in Lov w the idea u had abt Eric n Adam sometimes building cozy pillow forts, so they do tht n the three of them just vibe in there n lay together n look n talk. n like it's So Much Fun 2 have ppl to like. discuss movies w while yr watching them! esp when they're ppl who won't be annoyed w u when u wanna share a thought! like Eric n Adam will get into this deep discussion abt horror movie decisions n Art will just lay there n listen bc he loves them so much n loves hearing them get amped up abt things. he'll offer his own two cents if asked too! mostly he listens, but he can definitely contribute.

inevitably at some point, someone's hand ends up in Eric's hair n he's just. asleep not too long after that. usually on someone's shoulder or against their chest, n depending on who's still awake, they either try 2 move to th bedroom or they just sleep in th living room (i.e.: Art will try to convince Eric n Adam to come to bed properly, whereas Adam will just b like "fuck it" n pass out right there. has this led 2 them waking up sore b4? absolutely. but it's like. "we r adults who live w our decisions n this one happened 2 be sleeping on th floor" so.

n then a minor one is on their birthdays, some1 (usually Art, to be completely honest w u) will cook tht person their favourite comfort food fr dinner n they all help make cake/cupcakes/cookies/something dessert-related of their choice. so like Art rly likes brownies, Adam is fond of strawberry jello poke cake, n Eric can make some RLY good carrot cake cupcakes w homemade frosting too. it's just smth fr them to do together + like! it's celebrating! they've all been thru so much hell but they're still here! n that's rly th focus for the three of them. sometimes they have ppl over too - like Rigg, Gibson, Brit, Mallick, Lawrence, William (all of them best-case, obv); it's nice 2 have a lil party sometimes! after what they've endured they've kind of earned it I think!

HISTORY;

from the second ziggy ws born he didnt stop screaming. within the first hours of his life he gave his father an ear splitting headache tht prompted him to say “that uncooked chicken’s fucking demonic” n joke abt popping “it” in the oven to roast. when this understandably received disgusted glances frm the nursing staff he ws all like “jeez alright alright i’m kiddin i’m kiddin can’t a guy have a joke around here?” n i feel like that sets up their dynamic so nice n sweetly <3 (sarcasm) (lips pursed)

frm day one he ws just honestly a rly hyperactive child. when he laughed he’d shriek it out at the absolute top of his lungs bc he’d just get this huge giddy surge of energy all the way to the very tips of his toes n it’d hit him like a shock from a fork in a plug socket. their parenting style ws rly just lazy tbh.... they didn’t have much time for disciplining him. ziggy’s mum wld halfheartedly be like “ziggy quiet now....” n then go bk to nuking whatever vegetables she’d defrosted until they tasted like dinosaur bones..... this wld not make any difference in ziggy’s behaviour

his father rly just took the stance that it ws ziggy’s mum’s job to discipline him or raise him in general which is. 🔪 please enter the 20th century sir.... get ur noggin sorted..... needless to say he wsn’t much involved in ziggy’s life n honestly generally jst didn’t like him. ziggy was a responsibility he didn’t want (accidental prregnancy) n in his literal words once said (blatantly while ziggy ws watching cartoons on the sofa) tht ziggy just “harshes my fucking vibe a lil bit”. 

he wound up leaving when ziggy was six ish.... ziggy watched thru a crack in the blinds as his mum tried to grab at his jacket to make him stay as he lugged out his suitcase..... she even tried to physically cling onto him so he cldn’t get in his ride bt the door wound up slamming n she sat on her knees watching the lights pull out the drive n even long after they were gone. ziggy didn’t rly kno what to do abt this (emotions hd never been smthn he particularly understood, his own or how to handle other people’s) so after watching her fr 5 minutes he went out n gently shook her shoulder n was like. mom come inside u look weird out here. FKGHSFHGSFHKGFHKSGSFGHK. this was him trying to show love <3

Piercings, 100% I believe Arthur would be a piercings guy. He'd get his tongue pierced in a modern au to get back at Uther for being a dick. I stand by that belief.

But he wouldn't be opposed to getting a tattoo, and probably would after some tempting from Merlin

Merlin

Contrary to Arthur—I see Merlin as tattoos. He would have all sorts of tattoos, especially magical ones. I like to think he'd get a large dragon tattoo across his back (bc he fucking loves dragons), and Arthur would melt when he saw it. I just love the idea of Merlin with tons of tattoos, especially magical tattoos.

Though, as payment for tempting Arthur into a tattoo, Merlin would totally get a piercing, but nothing too obtrusive or noticeable. Probably just another ear piercing (bc he totally has them pierced), maybe an upper ear piercing that I can't think of the name of right now.

10. Physical or Verbal Affection?

Ahaha this is the fun one, I've thought so much about.

Arthur

The answer I have for Arthur is 100% dependent on whether he's giving the affection or receiving it.

Giving: Physical. Arthur is so much better at showing how he feels than putting it into words, due to his upbringing with Uther. So, he shows his affection through touch. It's how he knows how. He struggles to be verbally affectionate, never quite able to say what he means, although he still tries. He speaks sweet words and compliments and names, but he never can quite find the right ones to express how deeply he feels, because his love is so great it's overwhelming, and it's a feeling he's so unused to. So, he shows his affection through actions, and though touch, no matter how small or large, hoping that the receiving end will understand the silent declarations he's trying to get across.

Recieving: Verbal. Now, I have my reason for this, because yes I hc that Arthur is incredibly touch starved and would speak the love language of physical affection for both giving and receiving, but hear me out here. Arthur didn't grow up with much praise and verbal expressions of affection from his father. He grew up with commands, with 'you could do betters', with expectations for him held so high that he could hardly reach them enough to get a polite 'good job.' Noimnotprojectinglisten. So, when he grows up, and someone genuinely praises him for the first time, not because he's prince or because it's polite even if it's not meant, but because they genuinely thought he deserved the praise, his heart stutters, and his face flushes, and he does NOT stammer because a Prince does not stammer! But he remembers it, and he remembers how good it felt, and he craves it again, he craves more, because it made him feel proud of himself. So when Merlin stumbles into his life, insulting and praising him in the same sentence on an almost daily basis, his heart feels it may explode because it just feels so nice to be told that he's going to be a great king, that he's making someone proud, that he's someone's best friend, that he's loved. It feels so good to be told he's loved.

Merlin

Physical. Growing up with his mother in Ealdor, Merlin was exposed to so many tender touches and loving embraces, forehead kisses and hands held tight. It became the easiest and best way for him to express how much someone meant to him–one touch could say a thousand things that no words ever could. Words would fade, but the loving touch of another would always linger on your skin. So, moving from Ealdor where he was used to daily hugs and head kisses and shoulder pats from his mother and playful fights and more hugs and affectionate hits from Will, to Camelot where everyone was so...impersonal, and no one touched anyone like they did back home... It was a huge change. He had to adapt. The biggest way he showed his affection and care, was something he couldn't do without fear of upsetting someone or breaking some etiquette code. There was Arthur, though, who he snuck in touches to as he readied him for the day, night, battle, training, etc. He let his hands linger a moment to long, brushed his hair out of his face, purposefully antagonized him just for the playful bump in the shoulder or wack on the head. And then there were the knights, who gradually Merlin became more and more Physical with until it was common to see him cuffing Gwaine upside the head, leaning against Percival for a nap while he shirked his duties, hugging Lance in greeting and goodbye, slinging his arm around Elyan's shoulder while he told him a story of his earlier days with Arthur, and even holding Leon's hand on occasion when he was feeling a bit more anxious than usual or just knew something would go wrong but Arthur wouldn't listen. Arthur was the one he was the most Physical with, always touching him in some way or another, even absentmindedly placing kisses on his forehead that no one dared point out for fear of the King's wrath if Merlin stopped out of embarrassment.

Merlin is an incredibly physically affectionate person.

the youngest child of ted and elaine mccarrick, wes was a kid who is full of life. she’s the kind of kid who did things to make you smile, and it usually worked. she was warm and inviting, a little naive, but she had a strong support system.

her parents divorce when she’s six, she doesn’t quite understand it but her dad moves out, and her grandma and multiple cousins move in. it’s a lively household, between her mom, who works as a nurse, and her siblings, and her cousins, it was never really quiet and there was never a lot of room.

despite the split, her parents maintain that their children have a relationship with both of them, and truthfully, wes is a daddy’s girl. she and her dad were cut from the same cloth, happy go lucky, fun loving, a bit silly, he’s the one who introduces her to movies. it’s their thing, watching and critiquing them together, and it’s not whatever is in theatres either. they went for all times of filmmaking, new wave, surrealist, and more.

it really stuck with wes, who herself had begun making movies, mostly horror/fantasy/scifi stuff with her friends-- she writes and directs and occasionally, she’ll don a costume and star in them. they’re silly little things, but her family always sat down for her “premieres.”

her formative years are marked with plenty of things, sports, deaths of distant family members, a cousin or two who gets caught in the wrong crowd and ends up in jail, and throughout this, wes remains a rock for her family.

she’s in high school, and she gets into the eclectic crowd, the outcasts, the weirdos, the ones who smoked under the bridge, and partied out in an abandoned trailer near the desert. these freaks were her freaks. they accepted her with open arms, as she them.

she meets steven in their first film class together, and they’re fast friends, despite her usual weariness of YET another film bro, steven proves to be a good egg. so she thinks. she finds out through him talking that he might not be the most faithful to his girlfriend, and as much as she doesn’t like meddling, she thinks it’s only right to let clarissa, who she doesn’t really know well, know. however, before there’s a chance, everything happens-- now she’s stuck wondering if she should reveal the truth, or let sleeping dogs lie.

nana is different, nana and her dated her sophomore year, nana’s freshman year. it wasn’t serious. but they were fond of each other. they eventually break up, but they stay friendly, waving to each other in the halls, chatting at parties.

both the disappearance and the murder is weird for wes, who by all accounts, isn’t great at dealing with bad shit. she prefers to laugh about things. laugh about everything. because if she doesn’t laugh, she’ll cry.

wes is a mess, a free-spirit, a walking contradiction. she’s very independent minded, the kind of person who does things without thinking so much about the consequences, this leads her into trouble sometimes. like nicking something from a convenience store, or stealing a stop sign as a prank. she’s definitely the kind to goof off and not exactly dedicate her full attention to something. and while she’s in genuinely good spirits on most occasions, she has a staunch ‘no asshole’ policy. the type to defend the underdogs, and go after bullies. she’ll punch you with a smile on her face, and yet it ends up being more unnerving than you realize. she’s a bit of a ditz, as well, never the best at school, but can talk your ear off about the going ons of the world. she’s a lovable dumbass, for sure, and loyal to a tee once you get her as a friend.

I had been wondering about rita's episode, specifically what flaw of hers her episode would be addressing? Seeing as that seems to be the pattern here, with nureyev's self-isolation, jet's struggling with/repressing his past, and vespa's struggle to trust people/come to terms with her new way of life. So far it seems like the issue is that she's just straight up out of touch with the others and maybe a little selfish? She's more focused on how she thinks things should go than on what would be practical as evidenced with the robots in particular, idk maybe these eps rly are gonna be just pure comedy relief but I'm interested to see how that develops

Especially with her saying it's better to ask forgiveness than permission, idk I think maybe rita knows how smart she is perhaps a little too much? I love her but they've kind of gone in half-cocked here
