So I told my non-pjo-fan friend to watch the new pjo series, and oh boy.
That poor girl.
I asked her what her favorite characters are, and she's like, "I like Percy, Chiron, and LUKE."
Literally. He's on her top 3. I was trying to hold my laughs. I didn't know what to tell her.

really and truly unless it's a discussion about why peggy/steggy fans shouldn't like endgame, at this point idk why people feel the need to continually make the argument about her having a family as if that's the biggest problem about the ending especially when i figure most people are of the belief that it was another timeline or whatever idk what the current consensus on that is in the mcu and i don't care
but what about the fact that it destroyed steve's family? does that not matter because it's not the standard spouse and children but is instead a family he built for himself with sam and nat and bucky? because it's easier to decide steve is a selfish asshole and always has been instead of acknowledging that that storyline did more of a disservice to him than to anyone else? like oh maybe peggy's family was erased and that's horrible but it doesn't matter that steve's family was abandoned in the midst of the kind of trauma he knows very well?
i've said it before but it makes me so sad that so many people just turned on steve and decided a decade of movies don't matter in the face of one shitty desperate attempt of a movie to make him look like a pathetic creep just so they could justify their heterosexual nonsense ending

i think i’ve learned a lot when it comes to not applying my own values to the media i consume
for my script analysis class yesterday, we discussed two gentleman from verona, and nearly every classmate of mine was up in arms about how sexist the story is.
and i'm not saying it's not, or that it's not infuriating to read. but i'm also not putting my energy into getting upset about something written 500 or so years ago. and i'm not about to put my own beliefs onto these characters that are not me. i'm going to let their choices speak for themselves, and interpret it in the context of the story.
all that said, this now brings me to the point of alastor in episode 5, and how viscerally people are responding to it. those of you up in arms about the choices he’s making, and the violent threat he gave husk, you’re missing the entire point of his character, of this place they’re in, of the story being told. he’s an overlord, and he became an overlord by killing much bigger overlords and broadcasting their deaths over the radio.
HE IS NOT A GOOD PERSON.
if you started this show with the belief that every character working the hotel is a good person, you’re in the wrong place. watch the good place if you’re looking for a good wholesome story about getting dead sinners into heaven, because that’s not what this show is about.
you’re more than welcome to hate him after seeing the way he exerted power over a being whose soul he owns, but you’re doing the media you’re watching a disservice by writing it off so quickly. if you don’t like to be uncomfortable watching media, watch something else. this is an uncomfortable show, it handles uncomfortable topics, and it’s going to be an uncomfortable ride, and if you’re not up for something like that, then you should take a break from it and pick up something else. you don’t have to get online and defend your own ideals while you watch a show that goes against your ideals.

So I'm finally watching Mysterious Lotus Casebook, and surprise! There's Chen Duling in the third drama I've watched in a row.
I've now seen her play, in order:
A gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss snake princess:
A grieving noble with post-partum depression:
A grieving asthmatic martial sect leader (?):
Tough times all around for these ladies, but a great year for her!

ok so… Arlecchino x reader /spoilers btw(I think) also I’m currently sending this tru my iPad so I’m sorry for any mistakes.
yk how Lyney, lynette and freminet call Arlie father, so what if they then called reader as their parent too. I know it’s not really that harbinger related but still… it would be cute and yeah. I actually found out that Arlie is a really good parent figure, aparently, and takes care of the kiddos, and she even does it well.
It could also be that like the reader is from Fontaine(maybe??)and is helping them with their mission or smt like that. Like the reader is basically their actual parent figure, but instead of helping them with homework they help with yk set ups for a show or reading for the kids while Arlie(or the older kids) isn’t there.
I will admit this has been on my mind since I found out that they call her “Father”, hehe.
Ofc I’m not expecting you to actually write anything or even respond, since it’s more about the Fontaine siblings than any of the harbingers, luv ya.
-from somebody that writes but is too lazy to, and thinks that your writing style is so much better. (Pls don’t actually call me that)
Nah I am eating up the idea of reader being the siblings' parental figure completely. You're a lot more hands-on than Arlie is for obvious reasons... You try your best to raise them as "normal" as you can with the current circumstances and give them a taste of the familial love they need and deserve. You know their life will be far from normal considering they're in the Fatui, but you still think they deserve to have someone to fall back on in times of need. You're not just that person for the trio, but for Arlecchino as well.
Oh helping them with their magic show :( to this day you still are amazed by their little tricks... with Lyney, you indulge his extroverted nature while you're much more laidback with Lynette and Freminet, which they're very thankful for.
Father's love is very complicated... but your one is very genuine and open. Not everyone can accept it, but without the two of you, family wouldn't be family.
