I think if we are to do marginalized communities good, it'll help to remember that often, marginalized people who seem to be "forgotten about" in the mind of bigots aren't being treated well by them either - so many marginalized people are forcibly erased and made invisible. That is not a neutral action; it is a form of violence. Not all violence will present itself in the extreme of facing physical violence. The core of any violence against marginalized peoples will often come from a similar level of hatred for them. That's why it's so important to combat all violence, even the forms of violence you don't perceive "as harmful" as other forms.

i think part of why matt is underestimated in the house is ableism straight up. he was clearly overwhelmed the first two to three weeks and trying to adjust to being around so many people, to get comfortable asking people to repeat things and get used to people’s quirks when they speak, and over the weeks people have been taking him into account more (purposefully sitting where he can see their face, asking him if he understands, getting his attention when a group chat is happening & he looks spaced out, etc) so game talk has gotten easier, but at the same time, the image of him being like, overwhelmed and helpless, has stayed in a lot of people’s minds.

and tbh he’s clearly played that up which is smart! he definitely plays into his silly side & he says stupid shit like “a fun fact about me is i’m deaf” lol, and meanwhile people spill game info to him all the time bc he’s just silly matt, never mind he’s the best rat in the house! it’s interesting to watch him take his disability and the unfair way it’s been handled by production and even house guests and then use it to his advantage in the game.

This is by far the most complicated one I've done so far, the crystal pony effect took some figuring out but I'm very proud of them :)

I made them an alicorn bc they're a magical little fella and I thought it fit, It's not that uncommon for robots to be alicorns bc it's obviously more useful to have wings and a horn rather than one or the other lol.

I decided not to give them a cutiemark bc they're so young and it made the design a bit cluttered. When they turn invisible they go into crystal form just on very very low opacity.
