Okay, so yes, I’m putting off posting the Fire Emblem fic again, which feels bad because Engage is coming out so soon, and also because of the reason I’m delaying it yet again... But!

But, but, but!

Hogwarts Legacy is going to come out in a few weeks and I didn’t know who my player character was going to be, so naturally I made a wizard character, and then I wanted to flesh him out, learn more about him in preparation for the game, so I decided to put him in Harry’s year at Hogwarts and just run with the story.

I ended up making him a Scamander, because I was thinking about how if Rolf went to Hogwarts at the time Harry did he’d just be that one kid who’s literally perfect at everything he does but you can’t hate him because he’s also a ball of pure sunshine. you know what I’m talking about.

But my character had some issues pop up while I was brainstorming around year 3, so to keep the plot going I decided to just make him Harry’s brother for funsies.

So, I ended up with a twin au fic where Harry’s brother is adopted by the Scamanders, which is purely self-indulgent and is made entirely to examine the character I’m going to be using as my PC in the game.

I just finished writing year 6. Things go way off track of the books in year 4. I don’t know that I’ll actually finish year 7 before the game comes out - probably not, actually - but I’m considering posting years 1-6 over the weeks before release anyway

(Don’t judge me for not wanting to start posting the FE fic please. It’s 86 chapters. Even if I do my usual every other day posting schedule, which is hecking fast I should note, that’s still 172 days of commitment. Yeah, you read that right. I’ll be posting that thing for almost six months. Posting every other day. Do you understand my problem, now?)

Izuku is a determined man. Even when you two were in high school, he was convinced you two would be dating someday in the future. So convinced that he kept going out of his way to charm you into loving him. He just couldn’t understand such thoughts were not meant to be.

When you two were in U.A. together, you were used to the nervous boy who followed you around like a puppy. Many of your friends joked that he had a crush on you… although it soon came to light that Izuku was being truthful. He truly did have a massive crush on you.

He hid it from you for the most part. He loaded notebooks all about you, remembered your class schedule, and sent you secret admirer letters all the time, however. No wonder he got caught so easily because he was so eager to share his feelings with you.

You didn’t mind Izuku. He was a soon-to-be hero with ambition and you respected him. You just felt life was too chaotic to get so involved with him. Even when he asked you out before graduation….

“Do you plan on going pro too, (Y/N)?”

“Well, I think I’ll stick to civilian life. I’ll be there when others need me… but going pro feels a bit too stressful to me.”

It was a pain for both of you to turn him down. Part of you thought it would be a wonderful chance but hero life would be stressful for the both of you. You turned him down not because you didn’t like him, but because you wanted the best for both of you.

Deku on the other hand, was crushed. You tried to explain your reasoning and he acted like he understood. Although… The hero could not let go of his feelings so easily. You thought when you graduated, you’d never see each other again. 

It turns out you were wrong. 

You saw Izuku everywhere on TV once he went pro. Everyone praised him for being All Might’s successor, and for being himself. They praised his smile and how he went out of his way to help people. It was nice to see he was doing well in your mind. Meanwhile you were relaxing at home, having grabbed a small job to make ends meet. It was less dangerous than hero work.

Since Izuku went pro, you expected he would have no time to see you. Probably a good thing you never accepted the relationship. Plus, who went to visit all of their high school friends after school ended anyways? You didn't think you were that high on the priority list. 

Imagine your surprise when Deku himself knocks on your door, smiling brightly when he sees you.

“You said to visit you, right?”

You’re both now adults, you nearly forgot that he had the hugest crush on you in school. You both had gone to different paths in life but from what you knew, were happy.

You decided to not go pro and instead live a quiet little life, getting by enough to stay happy. Izuku went pro and achieved his dream, giving bright smiles on TV and saving people’s lives. You’d think he’d be happy too.

Not as happy as he would’ve liked, it seems.

You two caught up, talking about how life went. Although you noticed how Izuku’s tone shifted as he looked at you. Was he upset about something?

“Are you doing okay, Deku?”

His face heats up at the affectionate nickname you give him, looking away from you. Even as an adult and a star he still manages to get bashful and shy. You still had an effect on him to this day. 

“...Remember when I asked you out?”

You smile and laugh softly, embarrassment flooding through you at the memory.

“Yeah… I still think it’s for the best that we decided against it. You’re so busy now.”

“But I’m not happy….”

“Huh?”

“I’ve always thought of that day since I became a pro. I think I would’ve been happier as a hero… if you were there to support me.”

“Just one date…” He sniffles. “I promise I’ll be good for you! I’ve been studying the things you like and asking around to try and visit you and-”

“Izuku… What the hell are you talking about?” You narrow your eyes. “Don’t manipulate me into this, this should’ve ended years ago.”

"Manipulation? No, dear, I'm just encouraging you!" Izuku cries, standing up from his spot. You watch him, glaring at him before gesturing to the door.

“Can it, Izuku. I don't want to talk about this. Everyone confesses, many get rejected, end of story. No need to be so obsessive-”

Izuku grabs your hand, looking at you longingly. You’re now the one panicking now. You've seen what his power does, both in high school and on TV.

“N-No… please. I can't sleep when I think of you. I only ask for you to accept me once… t-then I’ll leave you alone, okay?”

“I don’t mean to be!”

“Let me go.”

Izuku reluctantly lets you go. You pull away and take a deep breath. Never meet your heroes, right?

Izuku looks at you one last time before leaving your home dejectedly. He was too caught up in his delusions to consider how you felt. Even now, however, he can't shake the thought of you from his mind.

While you calm down and continue with your normal life, Izuku watches you from a window. Perhaps he rushed things… he needed to be more careful next time.

Izuku was determined to have you fall for him someday. Every time he smiles on TV, everytime he gets interviewed and asked questions, every time he saves people… he does it while thinking of you. You are so very special to him… even if he’s forceful about it.

Regina tosses the small rock in her hands a few times as you walk ahead of her. The smaller zipper on your backpack was unzipped - like you were expecting and wanted her plan to work out in the end. As you inspect the source of the vibration, Regina runs up behind you and shoves something in your backpack before trying to speed away. She doesn't move fast enough as you feel the tug on your bag and turn to face her. She blushes as your eyes meet hers.

"Your backpack was unzipped. Pay more attention next time." She says in a monotone, slightly deeper voice in hopes you won't recognize her. hi do you have a schedule for writing? or you just write whenever and update the story spontaneously? 🥰 it seems like it is usually monthly updates but i wanted to ask you. do you recommend writing by following a schedule to new authors?

i dont really have a specific schedule tbh. I just write when i have the energy and the time to do it. so because this story is really engaging to me im usually a monthly updater unless life or health or something unforeseen gets in the way.

honestly no i wouldnt? because i think it creates a lot of unnecessary pressure especially if youre worrying people wont read it because you took too long between updates or theyre not going to wait for you to finish etc etc. because once you start trying to force yourself into a pattern that youre not already doing because it works for you (and youre not doing it because of being swept up by the story and the experience itself but because of outside pressures) then its going to negatively affect your enjoyment of the whole process if that makes sense?

because at the end of the day you are writing it for you first and foremost and you can always set yourself little reminders to try and write once a day or three times a week or once a week if youre worried about forgetting about the story or losing interest or motivation or something. but honestly it is important to take breaks too!! like were not machines we cant just give and give and give indefinitely thats not a sustainable way to live and its not a sustainable way to create either.

really if its honestly not your job and youre not being paid to get things out for a specific deadline then its definitely not one of the first or most important things that any aspiring writer should be worrying about imo. like why add that extra pressure when youre still trying to get into it and develop yourself?

i might not have a writing schedule but once i sit down and start writing im in and its very easy to get immersed in it- the story just flows right out of me and its on my mind often enough that i never worry about losing interest or not ever finishing it or whatever might prompt the need for a strict schedule. because this is meant to be fun!! not homework!! so if youre the type of person who does thrive in a strict scheduled environment and that feels more comfortable to you then just writing when you can then by all means implement a schedule! theres no right way or wrong way of doing it. everyone will have their own different methods and what feels best and most natural to them.

For me i like to always have notes on my phone for when im out and about and have an idea for a scene to add to the story- youd be surprised how often good ideas come to you when youre doing tasks that dont engage your brain fully- like showering, or driving or going for walks or even just being at work and doing that. in those moments thats when the notes come in handy because no matter how much you promise yourself you will- you might not always remember it!!! so i take notes. otherwise im breaking up the chapters with mini scene outlines that i want to happen or that i will eventually write. Not every idea is straight from the brain to the page. sometimes it is just easier to do brief outlines of whats interesting or intriguing to you and then you can come back and write whatever scene that appeals most.

So for example from the latest chap one would have been like (pete secret gets revealed, mr korn uses the opportunity to get rid of him and pete gets kicked out of the main family house, then he grabs oat and they steal an ambulance, escape montage etc) and sure thats basic enough but that really works for me! thats the distinction too because everyone thinks and does things differently- you just have to find out what works most for you. so yes of course i can give you tips and examples of what i do but that will be what works best for me. you could take some of that on board or none of it and it would still be equally fine! whatever gets you writing (and enjoying it- thats the most important part) :)

Oh my god, how are they gonna arrange the schedules? If Finn has Ghost Busters 2 then it means he's gonna be filming that for months, and what about the other schedules then 😅? I sometimes wonder if the show will just come out in 2025 bc of different schedules and bc the actors either have different projects or are busy with smth else

I know it's super disappointing, but it's very possible s5 won't premiere until 2025!

I answered an ask about this a while back, but basically if we're wanting s5 to be top notch quality, then settling for a s5 release in 2025 is what we're looking at.

Finn made the comment that he was looking forward to being able to drink with some of his cast-mates at the next premiere since he'll now be of age this time around, and he wont be 21 until December 2024... Unless they plan on premiering that literal month, the premiere probably wont be until the following year some time (early 2025).

Noah also made a comment about it when asked if it was coming out soon, and he basically just changed the subject saying that they're main priority is doing the story justice by ensuring it's all well done and satisfying.

Netflix has not come out to give a year for release yet and it's because they are probably pretty sure it will be 2025, but they know it's going to piss people off so they're going to wait a little bit before breaking the news.

Also just thinking about filming scheduling like you said, it takes a lot longer than it usually does for a number of reasons. I'm pretty sure s1 only needed like 6-7 months to film and only like 3-4 months for post-production. But the level of the story was so much less grand. We also had actors that had no experience and so therefore there wasn't much demand in trying to fit with their schedule bc they had no other work.

But now they're all A and B listers with crammed schedules.

We're talking 10+ months of filming and AT LEAST 8+ months of post-production. Best case scenario they would be ready for a premiere by DEC 2024 at the earliest! That gives them a lot of wiggle room assuming there could be delays and what not.

Remember they didn't finish filming for s4 until Sept. 2021, which means they needed about 8 or so months for post-production with the May 27th, 2022 premiere.

When we're talking about like major CGI dragon battles potentially, we're looking at the high end of the spectrum for time spent of VFX in post-production, so something close to what we saw for s4, more or less (about 8 months).

And then you have to think about all the planning that goes into the promotion and the advertising and contracts with products that is planned months/years in advance and that all rolling out to get people pumped.

Then there's also the fact that their choice of when to release it usually has to be sort of unique.

It has to premiere on a Friday, and it has to preferably be at at time that works best for Netflix in combination with all of their other releases.

There are no interesting Friday dates in late 2024... The most interesting date I can find is Friday March 21st, 2025, which would allow for the release to match up with the setting of the show (especially if we're circling back to birthdaygate and what happened in early s4 that was misconstrued bc of will's unreliable narrator arc).

Also... arguably we want a later release bc then it means we get to be here a little bit longer. Bc once this is over, it's over forever. The end!

ST5 in 2025 wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, assuming that promotion for that season would start as early as late 2024 and also be really consistent leading up to it, followed by us getting it and having to, only to move on forever.

It's kind of sad thinking about it. I don't want to.

Also it's possible we could get split into two volumes again bc this is the end and they really want to milk the excitement of it. Having it premiere once and be done is only ensuring like one month of hype, whereas 2 volumes split up between a 2-3 month period ensure like 4 months of hype, and that's a good way to end things with a bang.

Maybe we'll get lucky with a vol one in late 2024 and a vol 1 in early 2025? We'll have to wait and see as we get closer!

All I know is it wont be 2026, so we can just rest knowing that's not a possibility... right?

todays inciting incident was a shitty shitty halloween carnival that didnt even have the thing i was excited for, didnt have any food, had lines that were miles long (hyperbole), was too hot, and i only got 8 shitty halloween things from -- half of which were lollipops, with half of those just being the same 2 flavors but Again. we stayed for 2 hours before my mom decided she didnt wanna be out of the house anymore as usual. i cant be too mad at her because shes mentally ill in the direction of "i dont want to go anywhere because my anxiety will spike" but unfortunately im mentally ill in the direction of "if i cannot leave the house to Do Things at my own pace at least once a week i will fall into a deep depression" so we clash pretty bad most of the time. this was also following multiple minor inconveniences mind you. and was also trailed by multiple minor inconveniences. it just has not gone well. this halloween is just shaping up to suck bc i was supposed to have a whole party but we had money issues so it had to be cut down to just 2 people for a sleepover, then one of them went out to see his grandma in another state and the other is apparently in the fucking hospital right now??? at least according to his posts. and i cant blame them for these either! schedules conflict and sometimes you go to the Fuckig Hosital. its out of anyones control but it still feels like shit. so its looking like my only shot at having any fun this halloween is the trunk-or-treat at my school and idk if im even allowed to go bc i had to drop out for mental health reasons and they told me i wasnt allowed on school grounds anymore. idk if that applies here. which btw. way to make a depressed kid feel worse. you can NEVER come to this high school again or we'll ARREST YOU. fuckin bullshit. First off, this is a weight loss journal

The background: I've always been larger. A couple of years ago, I did a fairly strict and extreme diet (in a personally safe way) and was able to lose a lot of weight in just a couple months (around 60lbs / 27.25kg in 2.5 months) but was promoted to manager at my old job.

Things got super stressful and I fell off watching my weight and started stress eating. Eventually the stress eating became habitual and while I am at a much more laid back job now, I'm not healthy by any means and I weigh more than I originally did.

I lost my old scale when I moved so I hadn't weighed myself in some time and finally did and it was like a punch to the gut to read the number.

So I made this sideblog to document my numbers and progress.

My information and rules to my diet and personal rules for my blog below:

Blog rules:

First and foremost, while I may occasionally interact with potentially pro-ana posts, this is primarily for recipes and as a whole, I do not support anorexia. Numerically speaking, as per the rules of my diet, some can consider it falling under anorexia in the long term but one of my main rules for my own diet is that if I am feeling unwell or sick, the diet is called off for the day or extra consumption is added but more details will be added further down.

Second; I am an adult. I suffer from bad body dysmorphia regarding my size and even for the sake of progress, I do not photograph myself and will not share photos of myself on here. The only pictures I might share will be of meals I enjoyed with the recipes for later reference

Third; I am not expecting followers as this is mainly a tagless blog (aside for a specifically unique tag for the aforementioned meal posts) but considering the mental health, the extremes to which people can take diets, and self body image of people, I will block any minor that follows this blog. I do not want to endorse the idea of extreme diets to minors. Be safe and smart.

Diet rules:

1. Food content does not matter outside of calorie count. I do not care how many carbs or what the level of transfats are in a food, I specifically only count calories

2. Calorie restriction is going to be averaged at 1000 per day with some minor wiggle room. I will aim for 1000, if I hit 1200, itd be disappointing but is still in the weight loss range and isnt a big deal. I will not go above 1500. If I do go above 1500, the remainder would be reduced from a strict 1000 the following day. For example, if I eat 1700 cal, the 200 over would be removed from the next day, aiming for now 800.

2. 1 day a week will be allotted for a cheat day. I can but probably wont count calories on this day. This is for when I spend time with friends or have meals with my partner on a mutual day off, or to just eat unhealthy fast food.

3. The following day will usually be a fast day

The typical schedule is that my partner and I typically have sundays off together (minus my occasional working sunday) so my diet schedule would be Tues-Sat, cheat Sunday, Fast Monday. But the days arent definite as it more revolves around availability of friends and such when I will have the cheat day.

And most importantly

4. The diet will be on hold if I am ill. If I am horribly sick, or struggling for the day and feeling like I might pass out or having unending horrible migraines that keep me from doing my job, the diet is canceled for the day. I will eat so I feel better and I will not hold it against myself and I will not reduce or fast the following day (unless its currently a cheat day, in which case feeling ill should be unrelated to the diet anyway)

5. Not a definite rule, but I will attempt to post basic weights daily for me here. These posts will be very short, just the date and weight, with body measurements potentially once a week. Weights will be taken in just underwear for consistency and accuracy. While I have "they" in my bio, I have a male body so if you see measurements for bust/waist/hips/thighs, take this into consideration. Thigh measurements is the circumference of my right thigh, not both thighs at the same time.

I dont really have an end goal at the moment, anything is better than what it is right now. I may set periodic goals but considering I cant adjust my diet further, I cant plan to weigh this or that by a certain date. The previous time I did this diet, I lost 20+lbs/9+kgs a month but I had a job on my feet versus my current desk job so rates will differ from last time.

Please dont give me hate or attack posts for me being large, I know I am and that is why I am starting this.

Hiroshi Shidara, Tetsuo Imazawa: "Candy Candy" (1976)

Candy Candy is a Japanese series based on the manga by the same name created by “Kyoko Mizuki” in April 1975, getting the anime adaptation just a year later. Like other Japanese series from the time, they followed a series of steps, starting with the manga serialization, usually on some manga magazine in Japan, in this case it was serialized in Nakayoshi. Then the rights were acquired by Toei Animation, who would take the lead in the anime production, employing directors, animators, writers, voice actors and other staff to bring the story to the screen. It followed the same steps as any other animated show from the time, which was storyboarding, drawing the key frames, in-betweening, coloring, editing, sound design and quality check, this whole process took a significant amount of labor, but it paid off, the success of the series was not only due to the storyline, but also had a lot to do with the love and dedication that all the staff put into it.

The first episode of the series is titled “A pretty Lasso-Wielding Girl”, and it focuses mostly on Candy’s first years, giving us an introduction to her life on the orphanage and some of her early relationships, we get to see how she was adopted and get a little bit of her personality. From this episode we can tell that she’s not going to be your usual protagonist, in the time this was published it was really typical to get the female character be a damsel in distress and search for someone to save her, but Candy proves to be an independent person with some of her priorities straight, knowing she doesn’t want to be adopted because she prefers to be with her friends. Talking about the episode as a part of a series I don’t really thing this one says too much, and its honestly quite misleading, because this episode just shows you a cute orphan girl that likes adventure and some of her friends, but as the show goes on it introduces more serious subjects that may be too much for a kid, personally I do quite enjoy Candy Candy since I used to watch it with my mother, but just from the first episode you get no clue of what is about to happen, and that can be a little dangerous with a show that looks so much for kids.

The anime was shown primarily on television during its original run in Japan. It was broadcast on several TV networks during specific time slots dedicated to children programming. The episodes were aired weekly or bi-weekly depending on the schedule. Due to its popularity, it was licensed for broadcasting in other countries, reaching an international audience throughout different TV networks or channels. I only found the first episode on YouTube but it’s on Spanish, so I’m sorry for that.

It received a significant popularity specially among young girls due to its subjects of friendship, love, perseverance, and its relatable characters. However, it did had its controversies, particularly related to its ending, which I wont spoil, but it does miss some important plot points. But despise any controversy, it remains a significant anime series that left an impact on its audience.
