@mcnixie i wrote a second one as a bonus (and apology)
special thanks to @ingo-ingoing-ingone for making me rotate kyurem n emmet in the microwave of my brain and @insane-control-room for figuring out what would be the best dish for the situation
The clicking started much sooner than last time. It started loudly, before the muted sound of human steps could fully reach its hardly functioning ears, and it allowed it to dull its aggression into a general wariness.
Kyurem did not look at him as he approached quietly, slowly, clicking his tongue at steady intervals. He stopped walking when the massive husk shifted and began lowering its body as though getting into a battle stance; instead, much to his surprise, it simply tucked its massive legs a little closer to its torso as it laid down even if still notably tense.
Emmet clicked again, a little louder and much quicker, without moving an inch. He hadn’t expected to be almost welcomed into its like that.
A chilling growl rattled through the chasm, covering the ground before the maw in frost.
Ah. Of course.
The human resumed his slow calming chanting, taking equally slow rhythmic steps forward as he played with the things he was holding onto. Even when he was so terribly, exhilaratingly close to the dragon, it did not in any way turn its head to take him in - a sign which meant it was at ease with him.
He laid out the large bowl as close to the muzzled maw as possible. Taking care to keep clicking his tongue, and to move as slow and silently as possible, he uncorked the thermos and poured part of its contents.
Even with such terribly damaged senses, Kyurem picked up the smell.
Emmet watched it turn blindly towards the ceramic on the cold ground, grunting quietly what should have been a few cautious sniffs; it carefully dipped the icy tip of its muzzle into the warm liquid with a tentative motion and remained perfectly still for what felt like hours.
Then it took a sip that drained half the bowl.
A low rumble reverberated through the cold hollow body.
With a second sip the warm treat was already finished. The man refilled the dish with more broth, and looked as the horrible beast sank its jagged teeth back in it and drank it all in only two laps before diligently awaiting the next serving.
They repeated this curious ritual until the first thermos was completely empty, and then again, until the second one was too, and then Emmet absentmindedly gazed with his cheek pressed against the cold rough skin at Kyurem as it licked and scraped the ceramic for any more warm droplets left in the bowl like any other domesticated well-loved pokémon would have done while whistfully wishing he’d prepared a third one.
This entire situation was...
Awfully surprising.
Who knew the same terrifying, cold, barely capable of feeling beast that had held the region hostage in its own freezing cage happened to apparently have a soft spot for a little too salty vegetable soup.
His warm sigh condensed on the cold scales. No thoughts, no worries plagued him at that moment. A comfortable emptiness enveloped him.
If he could have brought a pot and fire, and grown produce down here... Maybe he would have remained like this, last priest of a long gone Dragon, sacrificing vegetable broth to its shell to appease it. The idea wasn’t necessarily bad. In that moment it was to a new leaf to turn to like any other. A change of pace: stillness instead of constant movement, quiet instead of screaming rails, loneliness instead of passengers stuffed into cars like sardines. Pretty radical for an early midlife crisis but he couldn’t find any complaints about it.
Ah, but it would have grown boring.
Eating the same thing every day.
“Have you ever been to the sea?”
The pokémon growled without any real aggression.
An old memory, maybe. Devoid of color or smell or taste.
Hm.
“I’ll make you seafood soup next time.“
Unless he was imagining things - which he likely was - the grumbled reply seemed to be looking forward to it.

Sounds like Alxi is gearing up for a journey to find himself and figure out what he wants to do, if he wants to stay. Not like he has much of a choice unless he gets tossed back home.
Would he eventually get his own place, once he gets his documents settled, or would the brothers all decide to move to a new place with 3 bedrooms? It would be nice if they all decide they are still family, even if they aren't blood related. He could even still work at a train station if he wanted, since he still has the experience.
Alexi is going through a huge existential crisis, for the second time, and is a little too scared to really. Talk about it with anyone. Instead choosing to try and deal with it himself.
Meanwhile, Emmet is terrified to even talk to Alexi, because he was a major player in Alexi's first existential crisis and somehow convinced the poor guy that he was his missing twin brother.
Alexi is kind of convinced for a while that he'll have to figure out new living arrangements and just. Move out of Emmet's life. Which is something Emmet doesn't want either, because as complicated as things are, Alexi for all intents and purposes was his brother for the past five years, even if he wasn't Ingo. Like, Alexi made him soup when he was sick, scolded him when he overworked himself, play wrestled him, all the works. Emmet can't stop Alexi from wanting to move away, after all, Emmet... Contributed to this guy's brainwashing. But he doesn't want Alexi gone either.
Ingo is actually the one to convince Alexi to stick around. Ingo, for very obvious reasons, has no preconceived notions about who Alexi is and what he should be like. Ingo personally has done nothing to wrong Alexi directly. It's so much easier to interact with Ingo than everybody else, who act so stilted around Alexi. (You know. Because of the guilt and horror.)
Ingo just. Talks with Alexi. About everything and anything. Alexi ends up giving Ingo his "memory journal" where he's kept a record of things from the past five years, because the journal includes stories that Ingo's family told Alexi in hopes of "jogging his memory." Although Ingo remembers Emmet and his home now, he's still got a bad case of amnesia, so Alexi thought this would be helpful for him in the way it wasn't helpful to Alexi.
Ingo finds himself very touched by the entries of Alexi's journal. It's meticulously kept, and Alexi is very clear about what he's feeling in the moments he records. Alexi very obviously loves Emmet. Loves the friends and family Ingo had trouble remembering. Alexi writes about their mannerisms and their ticks, taking special care in these notes because "you should be able to recognize who they are by these traits, even if you were to lose your memories once more."
Alexi thought he had lost his memories and kept a record in the case he ever lost them again, and this proves to be incredibly useful for Ingo. Alexi is more than happy in aiding Ingo's efforts in regaining his memories. The two become close as a result, and Ingo finds himself treating Alexi as a brother.
Ingo is rather honest about wanting Alexi in his life. It immediately makes Alexi reconsider leaving.
They still need to move, of course. Ingo came back with an entire team from Hisui. They kind of need a bigger place to house all these new Pokémon. (And Alexi's Ferroseed. Can't forget the newest addition.)
And as for Alexi's job. He actually needs to get his certification in his own name to continue working at the station. And Ingo's been gone for five years so HE needs to get reexamined as well. They become study buddies for a while.

About the Ingo + Arceus road trip: waitwaitwait, what do you mean by consequences in a trip to the future of his own timeline? 👀
Well, as i said it's nothing actually too concerning, just a setback. You see, since the last world he traveled long enough that he would take at least a week to fully recover from the strain of it that's what he should have done. But because of the knowledge that he is so very close to going home and finding Emmet and finally getting his answers, along with the added stress of trying not to see anything about the future (cause yeah that's going to be. Stressful. What if it's not something he wants to know?), he decided to leave earlier. He does not tell the future people of how long he should have rested. (They'll figure it out either way, looking at records of Ingo's many future (past?) Interviews 🥲. They're not going too upset over it though. They understand, they're just worried. They decide to keep a closer eye on any future fallers or interdimensional travelers they find.)
Either way, Arceus is understandably concerned over this fyi like they do care, they've spent the last few months with this guy and are pretty aware of his limits, but Ingo is really just... Tired. He insists over this, and they cave. They make sure to go particularly fast and be even more careful than usual this time, but of course they can't do everything.
Ingo gets only to see the shoreline of the forest underneath the entralink area and realize he made it before he gives in to his body and he passes out. He tells Arceus he's going to sleep, and they, not really knowing any better still (they're horrible at social interactions outside of divine intervention ಥ‿ಥ but hey what else was it going to be. They spend all their time doing who knows what managing the universe. This is just one arm after all.), trust him in that. They hang around in the faint way you'd imagine they were looking over Akari in the game, sort of looking over him and waiting for him to wake up and making sure he doesn't die. If he were to die now they would feel so upset over it. They became friends with Ingo over time (i don't think they will completely leave once he is settled in his life either; they're probably going to be a metaphorical call away :)), which is probably the closest they're ever going to get to being a Pokémon companion, something i believe they wished to experience if the battle with them at the end of the game tells me anything.
He is found by a family of zorua and zoroarks. They aren't used to seeing humans so far into the forest and got curious. Ingo's Pokémon, who were starting to get really worried (it has been a while since he went to 'sleep' by now), sense them and they decide someone should come out. The first one to do so is Ingo's alpha zoroark (the others are happy to know someone is out there helping Ingo and calm down for the moment. They do listen in though). It was particularly excited about getting to Unova, knowing it was the land its ancestors came from that was spoken of so longingly by the oldest zoroarks in the packs, the ones that still remembered when they were kits, leaving that place with their parents, following humans. It is immediatly blindsided by the sight of ALIVE zoruas and zoroarks, and for a moment it only revels in the knowledge they they are There, finally, before remembering why it was so impatient to get out. It finds it cannot wake up Ingo. And immediatly asks for help from the zoroark's family. The poor guys are incredibly confused and maybe a little afraid and or disturbed to see such a visibly scarred (i mean like. The red things) zoroark (also it's huge, cause its an alpha) and would really like to ask a few questions, but they accept either way. Why would they not, after all? (They do not know that in Hisui asking for help on behalf of a human to any Pokémon would be So dangerous)
So with a bit of help from some of Ingo's Pokémon they bring him back to their den. Arceus, whose full attention has been attracted by now, comes back in the right plane of existence, and once informed Ingo isn't waking up, promptly freaks out a little and wakes him themself, by using divine powers or something.
Ingo wakes up with a terrible, terrible sense of déjà vu and no idea of where he is or how he got there. He is terrified to realize he doesn't remember nearly anything.
-
-
-
Lmao SIKE i would never do that to him. He thinks he doesn't remember anything, but really he's just in that state where you wake up and don't even know who you are for a hot second, except he's exausted enough that he doesn't even realize he hasn't quite woken up completely and therefore will be in that state for a while, along with the added effect of the harsh travel causing a more serious version of the confusion effect Pokémon can get. Except he's a human so even that's different. So he's basically just tired and confused and panicking and the void travel temporarily blocked his memories. This time fr temporarily. He isn't thinking straight enough to realize he recognizes all the Pokémon in the room by name, but to be fair to him at this point he can barely move still, so.
Arceus, who is also internally panicking by now, decides that if Ingo truly once again doesn't remember anything they'll help him, this time not just out of duty, but because he is a friend and really, this is te first time they truly realize how much they've come to care for him, but if anything happened to him they'd truly grieve. They've only felt grief such as the one they re afraid of now, years and years ago, with the original hero. Ingo may not be the here but that doesn't matter.
So despite having no idea of how to do that, they decide to take a page out of Ingo's book, and decide that no matter what, they're going to fix this, just like he resolved to fix his situation, no matter what it took.
So they tell Ingo not to worry. They tell him to not try to force himself to remember, and they reassure him that he is going to be fine, they'll make sure of that. He has nothing to worry about. They tell him to go back to sleep.
And really, is anyone going to look in the face of a god, with the subconscious knowledge they they are your friend, telling you that you are going to be fine and NOT believe them?
Ingo goes back to sleep. When he wakes up next, a day later, he is still extremely tired, but he can move and think properly (courtesy of his Pokémon feeding him persim and lum berries ground into paste, also courtesy of the zoroark family's berry stash. They did not sign up for Arceus showing up in their den but there doesn't seem to be any danger and MAN are they curious by now), and finds that he can remember everything just fine. He finds by checking his (somewhat recently repaired) xtransreceiver that all the pictures and videos he took of the worlds he has been in match with what he remembers. He isn't missing any time. (Arceus is secretly SO relieved when he tells everyone this. They had been getting dirty looks by everyone when they refused to explain how exactly they were going to fix this, and they are glad he doesn't actually need their help. Also he's just their friend and they're glad he's fine.)
Ingo promptly starts trying to get up and leave to go home and has to be forcefully kept in the den so he doesn't overexert himself again. He has not learned anything from this experience. He needs so much therapy poor boy <3
(they can't keep him there for long though. The next day they depart, with a promise to go back to visit (Ingo's zoroark is so happy to have made a few friends already :) the zoruas love their weirdass new family member as well. They're so cool and weird :) they will not stop asking questions, as kids do.) and manage to get on the other side of lostlorn forest by the time it's night. It's not long to Nimbasa from there. The roads feel so familiar already, even this far from the city itself.)
(Chandelure has been feeling a disturbance in the force, but she knows not to leave. Ingo will get here soon. Emmet has noticed how chipper she has gotten in the last few days. He has also noticed how she tends to stare towards the wall, in one particular direction. He will not need to wait for much longer, he knows.)
Extras in the tags! Reblogs are very appreciated.

Since you've mentioned that you want the friendsgiving/harvest festival story idea to take place in Unova, my brain has been wandering around just trying to think of how to make the two ideas mix together harmoniously... And this is what my brain came up with!
Every year on the same day, the Pokemon League members all get together for some kind of autumn-themed party/all day event thing. They've been doing this for as long as anyone remembers, and it's just a special day to spend time with friends and loved ones. This year Drayden, Elesa, Iris, Clay (whom I like to imagine was an old mentor of theirs), among others (I like to imagine that the Subway bros are friends with Roxie too) are INSISTING that Ingo and Emmet come to the party this year and bring some loved ones along too!
There's a lot of weird traditions at this party that no one quite understands what they're for or where they came from, but they're here nevertheless. Slowly as the day goes on Ingo and Akari feel that something about all of this is familiar and Johanna points out the similarities between what they're doing here and a festival that is celebrated in Sinnoh. While they're doing these things, Ingo and Akari are telling stories about this disastrous festival with a play that they had back in Hisui. Eventually they make the connection that the festival-play thing that Ingo and Akari did eventually became the holiday that is still celebrated in Sinnoh today. But why is there this bastardized version being celebrated here in Unova by the Pokemon League members?
At the end of the day, it's revealed that Clay was actually the one to start whole thing. Back when he first became a Gym Leader, he wasn't able to go home to celebrate this holiday that was so important to his family. Clay goes on at length about how important this holiday was to his family, and especially to his great grand pappy who always had the wildest stories to tell about this day and who was insistent on always spending this day with loved ones. And so instead of sitting at home and feeling bad about himself, he decided to start spending this holiday with his new family- the rest of the Unovan Pokemon League. So sure, the traditions he tried to show his friends may have gotten lost in communication and became some weird mutated variant of what they were originally supposed to be, but the most important thing is to spend this time with the people you love and care about- your clan. It also turns out that Clay's great grand pappy was Lian. And while the festival as they celebrated it back in Hisui that first time was kinda a huge disaster, that day ended up becoming something genuinely important and meaningful to Lian, continuing to be important to him for the rest of his life. So much so that its importance was passed down to Clay who then spread this tradition to everyone he cares about in Unova too.
Ohh OP this is a great concept!! This ties up a lot of things together super well, and the connection with Clay and Lian is perfect ;w;
What a great connection!! I really like this mixture of the two; this might influence my fic a little if that’s ok!

I'm p curious about the immediate aftermath of Cyan getting yeeted to Hisui in the zoroark possession au. Either Cyan was on-shift at the time and Ingo has to do some Mission Impossible-style stunts climbing off the plane Cyan was in the middle of fixing (which would be made much easier by the fact that he's a ten-foot zoroark now, but Ingo is panicking and needing to pilot what is technically his own body but a body he's never really accessed since it was locked away in Cyan's for ages), and then using his illusion abilities (a skill he has never gotten to use while in Cyan's body, plus he is definitely panicking being out in the open WITHOUT CYAN so who knows how long it takes for him to remember he HAS the skill) to get to a safe place to call Emmet from... or Ingo was on-shift at the Battle Subway and Emmet has to rush over to comfort his suddenly ten-foot-tall zoroark brother in what's hopefully not public (if they are, added bonus of needing to do damage control for the dozens of ppl who DEFINITELY SAW WHAT HAPPENED) before they do Mission Impossible-style stunts as Ingo fumbles with his illusion abilities to get out of there to a safe place to regroup and figure out what to do next. lmao
Honestly, it was such a stressful situation for Ingo no matter the circumstances... but I do think he was on shift at the Battle Subway (and therefore on shift in their shared body) when it happened. This makes things slightly easier for him because he's far more familiar with the subway and all of its various tunnels! It makes sneaking himself back to the apartment that much easier. Especially with Emmet's help!
I think the first thing they do is concentrate on just getting Ingo somewhere safe, because all of a sudden, you have a huge Zoroark variant that's supposed to be extinct out in the open. That's the sort of thing that attracts attention! So Ingo throws together the world's shoddiest illusion- he doesn't even really look like himself, but he does look vaguely human, so that's what matters most. It gets them home, at least!!
And then once they're there... that's when they can actually panic. Because Cyan is GONE, and Ingo doesn't know what happened other than all of a sudden, time and space itself cracked in front of them... and he just felt Cyan being yanked away while he was left behind, and he couldn't do anything to stop it!!! It's just bad. It's very bad!!

How did Akari and Rei start to realize that Ingo and Emmet weren’t people they needed to be afraid of, and start warming up to them? Did they specifically do something that made Akari and Rei go ‘oh, they’re friendly’? Or was it a gradual realization?
Answer under the cut 'cause it got a bit long. ^__^;; Most of this was already covered in my original post about the AU, but I'll go into a little more detail from the kids perspective here! Thank you so much for the interest anon! 💜 Also I should note for all of these answers, I'm just giving my own ideas. I have a fic writing partner, and I haven't discussed all of these details with them! So if/when the fic is posted, some things might be a bit different.
Well, when they first met it was unfortunately a rather dire situation. Rei and Akari had been chased by a curious Joltic, which accidentally paralyzed the elder twin when it got a little too close. Ingo and Emmet had stayed later than usual at work. In fact they practically had the place to themselves, and were just clocking out when they heard the frantic shouting of children. They rushed to find the source of the commotion and found Akari trying to fend off the Joltik with a plastic spork, while her brother lay behind her twitching in agony. To make a long story short, Akari refused to talk to them (both because she's terrified and because it's hella illegal to talk to humans!) so Ingo and Emmet ended up bringing them home so they could tend to their medical needs. (the little Joltik came along too. It felt really bad about accidentally hurting the tiny human!) Akari and Rei were NOT HAPPY about this. They just want to go back to Jubilife! But it came down to either telling the subway bosses where the village was (because they refused to leave unless they could conduct the children to safety) which was a HUGE no. Or letting Ingo and Emmet tend to them themselves until they were fit enough to make the journey back on their own. Rei developed something of a fear of pokemon now. Especially joltiks. But while he is recovering from his injury, Ingo and Emmet also take it upon themselves to help him with this. Ingo works with Rei while Emmet and Galvantula train the little joltik to better control itself so it doesn't hurt either of the borrower twins again. I think seeing the patience and gentleness with which both humans treated them, and the special dedication they put into helping Rei, really won Akari over. She thought humans were supposed to be terrifying and evil? But these guys were... kind? And goofy? Even their huge, super powerful pokemon were nice! As Akari started to ease up around the subway bosses, she became a lot more chatty and curious. It didn't take her long to embrace them all as friends and let her mischievous side show more often. Rei remained apprehensive longer than his sister, but honestly, Mr. Ingo and Mr. Emmet were pretty cool. They hadn't ever hurt him or his sister. They hadn't threatened the village in any way. And Mr. Emmet had even set him on the path to becoming a pokemon trainer? It's something he never saw himself taking to. But he and joltik had actually started to bond. If he got good, maybe he would be transferred to the security corps. Did he want that? He wasn't sure. But he knew when they returned home, he'd be bringing Joltik along with them.
Rei and Akari are orphans who were taken in by the Galaxy Team about five years ago. They're used to having superiors, but this is the first time in a long while they've felt like a grownup actually cared about them as individuals. Professor Laventon was closest, but he was often swamped with work. And uncle Volo was a travelling merchant, so they didn't get to see him that much. All in all, they're all pretty sad when the time comes to return to the village. But it is where they belong, and they have a duty to the Galaxy team. Still, maybe they'll see each other again?

Re: railway cats, I think it'd actually make more sense if Ingo and Emmet were knowledgeable about trains and humans. There have been cats living as mousers at railyards for as long as trains have been a Thing. They're not quite kittypets, but a lot of them are friendly and almost-mascots. So they might not really know know what trains are, but they've been around them their whole lives and have a working relationship with the station employees
I could see to them the trains being near deities? They're huge, have names, how they work and move is kind of mysterious to cats because they seem both alive and not, and both the cats and station workers service them. So basically they'd be reshiram and zekrom lol
However, railways cats tend to be very loved by passengers, and they can end up being local celebrities. And like all celebrities, sometimes fans can be very inappropriate. So I could see someone forcibly taking Ingo, somehow catching and sneaking him on the train, to match how he was taken by giratina. Maybe he was given some drugged food, leaving him disoriented when he woke up, but he knew he wasn't supposed to actually be on the train and something was wrong because Emmet wasn't with him. So jumps out of the moving train himself, because it makes sense to his dazed mind to try to get back home and find Emmet. But he's uncoordinated, messes up the landing, hits his head, and loses his memories
Meanwhile, Emmet has no idea where his brother went, until one of the passengers hears that he went missing when they return, and tells the staff that they saw him on the train on their first trip. So Emmet knows Ingo was on the train (do kittypets understand human speech? Maybe he understands just enough words and reads the vibes to tell), which he knew better than to do, which means someone took him. Ingo would have tried to come home, he'd never just abandon Emmet or the station, so if he wasn't on any of the return trains that meant that something went horribly wrong, he just doesn't know what
To the clan cats Ingo probably seems overly knowledgeable about and friendly towards human-related things, like how he was with pokemon, but doesn't actually seem like he was formerly a Pet. They at first think he might be part of the Galaxy Team barn cats as a result, but they insist they've never seen him before
ok the trains being like deities to them is. REALLY fun. in a sort of like "yes they're dangerous, but treat them with care and respect and they can help you do things no cat ever thought possible (go very very fast)." i guess this is where i admit that i was imagining them as more like, railyard strays than like. uh. whadyacallem. passenger station cats? especially if they ARE doing the thing of showing other cats around. though they could have sort of done both at different points, if they DO move around a lot like i suggested earlier. but them being like station cats and sort of mascots is also very fun and DOES open up some fun options for ingo's Why Do You Know That-ness like you said. idk i see pros of both options in different ways but i feel like the vibes of the first might fit warriors better? idk!
anyway i don't thiiiink any of the cats really understand human speech? iirc at least. but i could see that ingo and emmet understand, at the very least, the human words for Train and maybe whatever the names are that humans have given them, if they ARE like, cat celebs (which... they probably aren't ingo and emmet i don't think. maybe diminutive forms of zekrom/reshiram? kuro and shiro?) but i'm not sure if that would be enough for emmet to pick up exactly what the situation is. but otoh that does kind of work better, anyway? if emmet doesn't actually have any idea where ingo is, that means he has to spend longer looking and we get more time to do the main Plot back in pearlclan.
side thing but the galaxy team cats also being like. inhabiting an abandoned barn maybe. is really fun i like that

JORDAN ASLANI [ carnival stub ]
(  aria shahghasemi, cis man, he/him )  i  took  a  trip  into  TOWN SQUARE, crystal  cove  and  ran  into  JORDAN ASLANI  near  town  square.  was  that  the  TWENTY-FIVE  year  old  ARCADE EMPLOYEE  you  told  me  about  last  week?  weird  i  could  have  sworn  you  said  they  were  BENEVOLENT  but,  they  seemed  sort  of  ABSENTMINDED  so  maybe  i  got  them  mixed  up.  how  long  did  you  say  they  lived  in  town?  HIS WHOLE LIFE  ?  i  guess  it  makes  sense  that  they're  known  as  the  WALLFLOWER  around  town,  they  did  kind  of  remind  me  of  tangled up earphones hanging out of a backpack, worn out pair of sneakers, flipping through old comic books, arcade games and tickets, and a smile brighter than the sun.  i  think  they  even  mentioned  they  put  a  CARNIVAL STUB  in  the  capsule.  i  really  hope  they  don't  incriminate  themselves.
name: jordan aslani name meaning: descend nickname: jordy face claim: aria shahghasemi pronouns & gender: he/him & cis man file name: carnival stub relation to marlene: coworker
age: twenty-five height: five foot eight hair color: black eye color: hazel birthdate: march 3rd zodiac sign: pisces orientation: demisexual, biromantic occupation: arcade employee (arcade in town square)
moral alignment: lawful good mbti: INFP enneagram: 9w1 vice & virtue: envy & kindness hogwarts house: hufflepuff character inspo(s): emmet brickowski (lego movie), peter parker (spider-man), will byers (stranger things), benji applebaum (pitch perfect), bambi (bambi)
Crystal Cove, to Jordan, had to be the best place on Earth. Why? Because it was his home. It was okay that it wasn’t a huge, elaborate city or anything. They say home is where the heart is, and that had always rung true for him. Not just the town itself but its people. Even if there was a whole world out there to explore, he never really gave indication of wanting to leave the Cove. At least not permanently.
He never knew his real parents. His father was never in the picture at all while his mother left him at the doorstep of a woman who had been a neighbor in the same apartment complex. She had, naturally, been surprised at the sight of an infant wrapped up in blankets with a note. Jordan’s mother couldn’t take care of him, having been lingering on the line of poverty, and didn’t feel like it would be fair to her son.
And so, the neighbor ended up taking him in and raised him as her own. The four walls were rather small but more than enough, Jordan never complaining. He was always so grateful, smiling almost brighter than the sun itself, always helping around the house. When he was a teenager, he started getting a few small jobs here and there to further help out.
During school, Jordan was a smart kid but wasn’t someone at the top of any classes either. A good but average student, just taking it one day at a time. He was more of a wallflower, preferring not to have a lot of attention on himself. He was a sweet, nerdy, artsy kid. That, unfortunately, made him the target of some bullying for a few years. Never did Jordan fight back though. He was always a lover not a fighter, even if that made people consider him a doormat.
Nonetheless, he got through school and eventually got his own place, a small apartment around Town Square.
TIMELINE WITH MARLENE WHITMORE
In 2008, Jordan worked at the carnival that was around for the summer. He had heard of Marlene Whitmore in general – the family was already a big deal in the town – but they had never actually met, not until that summer when she worked alongside him. They were usually posted around a few different booths on and off, sometimes different carnival games while other times scooping out popcorn and making milkshakes.
At the end of their last carnival shift there, Marlene suggested they stick around for a little longer and play some games themselves while not on the clock. It was a fun time full of smiles and laughter, and a few extra carnival tickets were left over. Jordan wasn’t sure if Marlene ever kept hers. He kept his though, putting them on his shelf of other little knick-knacks.
In 2009, the hiring sign for the local arcade caught Jordan’s attention and he got the job after one interview despite being so nervous during it. The following week, Marlene also got a job there. It was honestly just a coincidence that they ended up working together again, having not really spoken since that last summer at the carnival.
Almost a year past at the arcade with the two having a couple of shifts together almost every week. Jordan really enjoyed her company and considered her to be a friend even if Marlene may not have had the same mindset about him. And then his friend went missing in 2010, a case that shook the whole town.
Jordan was saddened over the news – and honestly, he would’ve been even if it had been a stranger instead – hoping that she was okay and that nothing bad happened to her. Though years past with basically zero breakthrough until 2015 when the time capsule got unburied a little too early. And along with it? Marlene’s body.
WANTED CONNECTION IDEAS
roommate(s) (anyone in town square would work!), best friend, childhood friends (still close or maybe grew apart), friends, sibling figures, regulars at the arcade
TAKEN CONNECTIONS
school classmate / tutor: willow cameron
friends: annie murphy, kaia harris, willow cameron, nicole zhang
roommate: nicole zhang
childhood friend: nicole zhang

silly stupid little idea i had but both subway bosses fall for the same person but!!since most people r monogamous and they think there’s no way you’d be willing to date both of them, they both try to set you up with the other. at the same time. bc they both want the other to be happy (and they’re both sabotaging their own chances and there’s either a huge misunderstanding where you think they don’t like you and are messing with you OR it’s painfully obvious what they’re doing but neither of them stick around long enough for you to actually tell them you like them both)
I got hit with the ✨big sad✨ while trying to write this, I do apologize.
-
-
🔲Ingo&Emmet🔳
- They are twins, close ones at that. They have shared everything in their lives. But they aren’t you, they aren’t sure you’d be up for being their shared partner.
- And they want the other twin to be happy more than anything.
- It started off as mild competition, but after a month it quickly turned into wingmanning for their brother.
- Ingo would talk about how great Emmet was, talking him up to win your favor.
- Emmet would quickly drag you or direct you towards Ingo, before bailing ‘oh I must do work things! Have fun!’
- It’s a constant back and forth.
- From showing off their battling skills, to showing off their own unique skills. Ingo showing how good he can cook and constantly checks in on you, to Emmet showing off his memory and how much he pays attention to you. Just small things to try to win you over subconsciously.
- They desperately want to hang out with you like they always do, but from your perspective they are ditching you. Ingo talks up his brother and leaves, and Emmet brings you to Ingo and leaves. You feared they didn’t want to be your friends anymore.
- You cried your heart out to Elesa about the issue, telling her everything.
- And Elesa was livid to say the least. You’re her friend too! And those idiots are hurting you like this, that’s no way to treat anyone! After you fell asleep at her condo, she marched right over to their homes and torn them a new one.
- “We didn’t mean to!”
- “We want them to be happy, and most wouldn’t share.”
- “Happy? You two have made them cry! They think you both hate them and don’t want them around anymore. What kind of bullshit have you two been doing to them!?”
- The twins tear up as they look at Elesa in shock, they hurt you, they made you cry and feel unwanted, that was the last thing they wanted to do.
- They just wanted their brother and you to be happy, but they have done nothing but cause you pain.
- “We are sorry.” They spoke in sync.
- Elesa huffs “don’t say it to me, I expect both of you to apologize to them tomorrow.” And she left, picking up your favorite take out in the process.
- And when that next morning rolls around you’re greeted by the two subway bosses, each holding a gift for you.
- “We are sorry for how we have been treating you.”
- “It wasn’t our intention! We just love you so much and wanted the other to be hap-OW!” The younger twin rubs the back of his head.
- “EMMET YOU WEREN’T SUPPOSE TO SAY ANYTHING!”
- Ingo tilts his hat “we are truly sorry, I know you must be so angry with us for treating you so terribly.”
- You stare at them, then towards their gifts. Ingo holds a bag filled with goodies and a small litwick plushie sitting on top of it all, while Emmet holds a large almost pillow like joltik plushie with a cute ribbon around it.
- “Wait…so-“
- “I love you! But so does Ingo! And I wanted Ingo to be happy, so I tried to pair him with you, but he had the same idea.” Emmet was happy to explain, your sad laugh makes them both freeze.
- “You two are somehow so smart, but the dumbest dense asses I’ve ever met.”
- The twins look away, they should have seen that coming after all they have put you through.
- “You know you could’ve just asked me, right? Would’ve been better than running me around in circles.” You lean in between them, resting against one of their arms.
- “I’m still a little upset.”
- “That’s to be expected, dear.”
- “And verrry understandable.”
- “But I love you both, so I accept-AH!” You were picked up and twirled into a spin hug by Emmet, who cheers and lifts your off the ground.
- “They said yes! Did you hear? They said yes!!”
- Ingo vibrates in place waiting for Emmet to let you go so he may shower you with his love.
- Elesa watching from the door frame, happy her idiot friends are finally together.

okay but could you imagine a submas infinity train au?
those two would be WAY too excited to get abducted by a weird ghost train, which is exactly how they get got in the first place. a strange train they’ve never seen in the subway before rolls up and they just go “that must be for me!”
as for the plot details...
ingo disappears first. he stays late at the station, something he’s done plenty of times before. something he’s done a lot lately. there’s paperwork that needs to be done after all, safety checks to carry out, maintenance to run. emmet’s always been a bigger fan of the battle side of things, there’s no need for him to handle the trains.
the security cameras the next day show ingo walking past the platforms. there’s an eerie green light coming from one of the tunnels. there shouldn’t be any trains running so late. the feed glitches, and by the time it’s stabilized, both ingo and the light are gone.
this, obviously, wrecked emmet. his brother just vanished into thin air.
the disappearance threw emmet’s life off the rails. everything starts to revolve around ingo, ingo, ingo.
have you seen ingo? have you heard from him? have you found anything yet? anything at all?
running a subway on your own is much more challenging that running it as a duo. was ingo really doing so much? he must have been swamped with work. he must have been miserable. why didn’t he say something? did he not trust emmet?
did he resent him? is that why he left?
emmet does it all. he doesn’t complain. everything must be perfect for when ingo comes back.
there are parts of his (their) apartment that he hasn’t touched in months. ingo wouldn’t like it if he messed with his stuff.
when it becomes apparent that the official investigation into ingo’s disappearance isn’t making any headway, emmet takes it up. he’s burning the candle at both ends, between keeping the battle subway running and looking for ingo. he only goes home to sleep.
YEARS go by like this. elesa tries to convince emmet to talk to a professional, but who has the time for that these days? she finds it harder and harder to reach him.
one night, he decides to walk the platforms where ingo disappeared again. maybe he’ll see something he didn’t see before. something that could make sense of these last few years. anything.
and then, an unscheduled train arrives at the station. it looks nothing like their trains.
this has to be it.
emmet does not hesitate. he boards the train.
for the infinity train itself, i’m not sure how different it would be in a pokemon crossover. the only difference i can think of is that the animal-like denizens leans more towards certain pokemon than their real-world counterparts. like, the cat would definitely be a glameow, right?
i don’t actually have many ideas for what kind of denizen would accompany emmet.
while emmet loves the idea of traveling through a HUGE TRAIN, every time he makes the transfer between the cars, his only thought is, “ingo would have loved this.”
because he wears gloves (and it’s also uncommon to encounter other passengers), emmet doesn’t notice his number at first. when he does, though, it’s at 134.
the whole point of emmet being on the train is to find that balance in his life again. it hurts that ingo is gone, but he can’t spend his whole life waiting on him. he needs to be emmet again, even if that means being only emmet.
and for a time, it does work! emmet has fun on his own for the first time in years. some of these cars are straight up goofy! his smile starts to feel genuine again.
because of this, his number starts to gradually go down. 129, 118, 115. he hasn’t made the real progress yet, but he’s gotten a start.
there’s just one cog in the wheels, so to speak
ingo has been on the train for years. he knows the point of it already. you get a number, you sort yourself out, the number hits zero, and then you leave. simple, right?
of course, it’s hard to fix what’s wrong with you when you don’t exactly remember who you are.
his memory starts in a snowy car on the train. he has his jacket pulled around him, and he has a death grip on its ends. he doesn’t know why.
ingo’s number has been stuck at 134 for as long as he can remember. which, to be fair, isn’t so long. it isn’t going down, but at least it hasn’t gone up.
anything that ingo knows about the world outside of the train is spotty at best. it’s familiar to him, in a nostalgic sense. he thinks something similar was part of his life before.
he doesn’t really have much to go on. when he meets another passenger on occasion, they’re always reluctant to help him.
sometimes he sits on the platforms near the cars’ exits. he just watches the wheels spin.
i think if ingo had a denizen who travelled with him, it would probably be similar to a sneasel. maybe he has a flute, too. being able to play melodies is very soothing, even if he can’t remember how he learned them.
the twins’ reunion is not pleasant
emmet hears rumors, some of which he puts stock in. sometimes, a denizen will look at him and realize they aren’t talking to the human they thought they were. they always try to ask him to play a song.
he enters a desolate car, a sort of desert. except he can hear a flute in the distance.
when they finally come face to face, for the first time in years, it’s like a dam breaks
for some reason, emmet’s first instinct is anger. he’s never been more upset with his brother. literal years of heartache and searching, and this is where he’s been the whole time? playing the flute on a fun little magic train? he CHOSE to get on this train, CHOSE to leave emmet.
ingo just can’t wrap his head around any of this. he doesn’t know who this man is, but at the same time, he has the distinct feeling that he’s come across something very important.
both of their numbers are skyrocketing, by the way. they only notice when they breach 300, at which point their argument comes to an abrupt stop.
they’re quiet for a while.
“I’m sorry,” Ingo suddenly speaks up, breaking their silence. He doesn’t look up when he says it, too busy running a thumb over the neon green number on his hand. “I think I hurt you.”
Ingo looks small when he sits like that, with his legs drawn up. It reminds Emmet of when they were kids.
“I shouldn’t have said that,” Emmet admits, shifting his position to sit next to his brother. He bumps their shoulders together, having the distinct impression Ingo isn’t in the mood for hugs right now. “I missed you.”
Though Emmet waits for it, Ingo doesn’t respond. He almost seems to shrink in on himself.
Ingo takes Emmet’s hand, the one with the number, and turns his palm up. “If you get it all the way down, an exit will appear, and you’ll be able to go home. Take it. Forget about me.”
“But how could I do that to you?” Emmet asks. It’s innocent enough, but the way Ingo goes stiff next to him...
“Ingo?”
It’s when Ingo looks up at Emmet that their eyes finally meet.
“It’s funny,” Ingo says, but Emmet can tell that neither of them can find any humor in this situation. “When I look at you, I feel like you’re someone very important. But I don’t even know your name.”

Uncle Clay AU: The School Problem
In which Ingo gets bullied, and Emmet gets grounded. These things are connected
MASTERPOST
When they started school, The twins had decided to try and keep the other kids from finding out who their uncles were so that nobody would try and “”befriend”” them just to meet Clay and Drayden.
-That’s what TV said would happen
-However this made making friends hard, since they never invited anyone to their house.
-Clay did most of their Parent-Teacher conferences, since if he dressed different than normal, most people didn't tend to recognize him
This worked fine until Ingo started getting bullied around age 8. Between his volume, his lack of facial expression, and being just generally ‘weird’, he was a prime target
-Ingo’s normal reaction to this was to freeze up and retreat in on himself
-Emmet’s normal reaction to this was violence
--Which meant he was getting into fights. A lot.
On top of that, Ingo was having some serious trouble with some of their classes that Emmet wasn’t
-This was, naturally, frustrating for him as the ““older brother””
-Emmet was helping with the homework, but Ingo was barely passing their tests
--There were just some things he couldn’t understand, and Emmet was telling him the answers instead of showing him how to do it
Drayden and Clay knew something was up though, and it worried them
-Ingo had started to become quiet and withdrawn, sometimes not saying anything for days, and the spark in his eyes seemed to be going out
--Though they assumed this was connected to his problems with taking tests
---Since he was 'fine' when doing the homework and only getting bad grades on the actual tests
-Emmet was lashing out at school, was always angry at home,
Emmet spent a lot of the next few months grounded
The constant fighting finally resulted in Clay and Drayden threatening to ban Emmet from doing the Gym Challenge until he could learn to behave
-As Gym Leaders, this was the worst threat they could think of.
--Neither of the boys thought this was fair at all.
Eventually, Ingo started protecting Emmet from having to protect him by not letting him know about bullies when he could avoid this.
-Unfortunately, this meant that the bullies got more brazen, no longer having to worry about any retaliation
Everything came to a head shortly before the twins turned 10.
-Drayden was out of the Region at a Dragon Trainer’s conference, with Clay staying to watch the boys for the week, as was the norm when Drayden had to leave town
Ingo came home one Friday with a black eye and a split lip.
-One of the bullies had gone quite a bit overboard that day
-Emmet kicked up a huge fuss and demanded to know who did it, with Ingo trying to shush him before Clay heard
--“I am Emmet, how am I supposed to protect you from the bullies if you don’t tell me when they’re picking on you?!”
--“You’re not! You’re supposed to stop getting in fights! I can handle it!!”
Clay got back from picking up groceries to hear the boys arguing and sees Ingo’s face
-Clay’s first assumption was that Emmet dragged Ingo into one of his fights but, when he asked, Ingo vehemently denied it and was offended he even suggested it.
-When Clay pressed him on it, Ingo lost his temper
--This is a ten year old child who was being badly bullied and not letting anyone know, struggling in school, and dealing with his beloved brother being in trouble all the time because he made a stupid promise.
---He said something he really didn’t mean:
-“WHY DO YOU EVEN CARE?! YOU’RE NOT EVEN ACTUALLY OUR UNCLE!”
--All three of them froze when he said that, and by the time the other two had recovered, Ingo had run off, horrified with himself
Ingo came home hours later, at like 11 at night, and tried to slip in quietly only to find Clay still awake and waiting for him
-Clay was beyond relieved when Ingo came in, much longer and he was going to go looking himself but wanted to give the kid some time to calm down first, and silently guided him to the bathroom to tend to his injuries
--“...Uncle Clay?”
--“Mmmhmm?”
--“..I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have-I didn’t mean-”
--Ingo starts to cry and Clay scoops him into a hug “Aw c’mere kiddo. I know ya didn’t mean it, ya goin’ ta tell me what’s been up yer ass lately?”
--Ingo finally spills about the bullies, which then leads to him spilling about the other bullies, which leads to him spilling that all the fights Emmet got in were actually Emmet defending him from said bullies
---He also spills about how much he's struggling with his math classes and "Emmet helps me with my homework, but he can't during tests and I don't get it!"
----Clay: 'Ohhh. Darn it, why didn't we think of that?'
Emmet had been unable to sleep, not knowing where Ingo was, and when he hears voices he slips out of bed reaching the bathroom just after Ingo’s confession
-Ingo and Clay both jump when Emmet runs in and grabs Ingo in a hug
--“Don’t ever ever ever leave like that again! I didn’t know where you were and you were hurt and you could have been hurt worse and-”
---Clay pulls both boys into a hug before Emmet spirals further and then takes them to the kitchen and makes some warm milk, as well as some actual food for Ingo who didn’t have any dinner
He puts the boys to bed, collapses into a kitchen chair and buries his face in his hands for a while, just processing everything, and then phones Drayden’s hotel room
-He has to phone a couple times because Drayden was “Asleep, Clay. It’s ten at night here and nearly midnight there, what’s happened that’s so important it couldn’t wait?”
--Suddenly very awake Drayden: “Are the boys alright!?”
---Drayden did not know what answer he was expecting, but it definitely wasn’t “Ingo’s been getting bullied, badly, and all of Emmet’s ‘fights’ were actually him defending Ingo.”
The twins wake up the next day and go down for breakfast to discover that Uncle Drayden left the conference a whole day early because Uncle Clay told him what had been happening
They sit the twins down and have a long conversation about appropriate secrets and how to handle bullies properly
-With the boys squished between their uncles on a sofa in what Emmet once referred to as ‘a cuddle sandwich’
--C: “Why the blazes did the two of ya keep mum about it all this time? Emmet, you wouldn't have been in near as much trouble if you’d been up front with us from the get go!”
--D: “And you, Ingo, why would you let us keep punishing your brother for getting into those fights instead of telling us he was defending you?”
--Ingo shrugs wordlessly and gives a kind of half-glare at Emmet that feels, to the adults, very much like an ‘I told you so’.
--E: “I'm Emmet, I made Ingo promise not to tell. I thought I could handle it. I was handling it.”
--C:*sigh* “Emmet, yer a good brother, but it’s not yer job to protect each other. Not like this. That’s our job. It's our job to make sure y'all grow up safe and happy. To be there for you if something like this happens and deal with it.”
--D: “We are proud of you for standing up for your brother, even if you went about it the wrong way. You should have told a teacher-.”
--C: “-Or one of us.”
--D: “Or one of us, yes. You should have told someone when all of this started. It should never have gotten this bad.”
---He gestures to Ingo’s injuries
--I: “...’m sorry. I wanted to tell, but Emmet made me promise!”
---Which is the part that leads to the conversation about when it’s okay to break, or not make, promises, with the first thing on the list being ‘it’s about something that is hurting you’.
-They also work out a plan to help Ingo with his current struggles in class
--Starting with figuring out, and showing him, where he's actually going wrong
Emmet is no longer grounded, and Drayden and Clay make a visit to the school to straighten everything out.
Then they take the boys out to the beach for the weekend
-Both boys had been having a stressful time and deserved a treat

@someoddmix  #hahahahaha! #that's absolutely fair #i sometimes forget Emmet is all about safety too #'judging you so hard you absolute moron' #i love it! #melli chose the hard road #and made it work #omg wait #does that mean melli would be the type to slap eletronics back to functionality? #maybe with the perfected voltorb slap #and for some reason it WORKS
I think we all forget that about Emmet from time to time, just because - at the moment, at least - he’s generally at least low-key #feral due to Ingo’s disappearance in the fanworks he appears in. We should remember it more often though, if only because characters who are kinda feral but who are also super safety-conscientious are very S-tier, and that’s some content I would love to see!
As for Melli and electronics, he’s not allowed to handle them any more than absolutely necessary for day-to-day life in the future, no one trusts him with them. He’s also just not as interested in a lot of that stuff as you might expect. Computers and TVs are actually really overstimulating for him - books are much more comfortable. He is going to miss radios when he goes home, though, he enjoys those very much! He also likes the library a lot - coming from an era where paper and books are much more scarce, and libraries, while they existed, weren’t nearly as large or common, let alone as diverse in their content, it’s just. There are so many books. Even if he’s not necessarily huge on reading, he’s probably only ever seen this many in one place if he’s gone into one of the Galaxy Team buildings.
Elesa gets him set up with a library card. It is one of his prized possessions, and the only really futurey thing he takes back to Hisui with him, because it was something he got attached to due to using it a lot to research pokemon and training and such. He very carefully stayed away from the history section and older works, though - don’t wanna tempt fate or mess up the time stream by mistake!

I really wonder what type of person emmet's significant other is. I mean it's good that it's not volo or something but like. They can't miss all the shit emmet is pulling as champion lmao. Could it be that they think this is a better coping mechanism for him than idk, the typical "moping around being sad/not eating/all the shit you usually see in a typical "ingone while emmet falls to pieces" fic? Bc it makes me uncomfortable to think that despite all the good they've supposedly done for him, they're helpless to stop him from picking on random challengers and generally smarming around... Anyway it really doesn't feel to me like ingo will get along w them once he gets back bc from his pov, he disappeared and then emmet turned into a huge asshole and is suddenly engaged... Hard to not connect the new person he doesn't know to emmet's negative character development lol
Ok so I've talked quite a bit about Emmet's mystery S/O today, but I'm happy to touch base on them again because YEAH, EMMET'S NOT DOING OK & THAT'S NOT GOOD!!!!
So his partner is a good person, right? They stepped up to help Emmet when the rest of the world was shoving microphones in his face & asking him question after question about his missing brother. They, with Elesa, started getting Emmet on the path of recovery, but something kinda went wrong...
His partner is well aware that Emmet loves battling & that he quickly forgets himself & his troubles when he's involved in a really tough fight. He starts thinking about challenging the Elite Four & really pushing himself to try to become champion. To be honest? It doesn't sound like a bad plan when he's on the slow road to recovery, right?
No one really could've foreseen that he would become obsessive about winning this badly & shirk his actualy problems just to stay Champion. It's like train that went speeding off the rails really quickly - there was no changing its course the moment it started careening out of control - it was already too late then!!
& then there's the whole thing where Emmet dispises the media & newspapers & only really finds solace at home in the company of his beloved & his good friend Elesa, as well. He's bitter & angry at the world & he relishes in the fact that no one at all can seem to take him down. That's showing them who's boss, I guess???
& then yeah. YEAH. YEAAAAAAAH. SO I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOUR FINAL POINT!
When Ingo comes back & starts regaining his memories, the one major thing that changed in Emmet's life is his partner that he's actually married to [Emmet? Married?! What messed up world is this?!?!???]. Ingo definitely blames them for Emmet's major shift in personality, but the problem is that Emmet is now extremely EXTREMELY protective of the one & only person in his life who was there for him when he needed them most & boy, the reigning Champion isn't about to let even his brother bad mouth them!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello 👋 Could you perhaps write our yanderes first meeting with their darling or the moment they realized they loved them?
Avery
Avery simply stumbled upon you while watching your family to plan his revenge. And there you were taking care of a bird. Avery pretty much immediately fell in love. He could tell in the air and by the general lack of options that you WERE his mate!
Instant bird love! Your actions really kept affirming it and with each courting gift he left he seemed to become more and more in love.
Emmet
The two of you original met at a courting ceremony where aristocrats met their general dating pool. And there you were.. his darling lil' southern belle. You were just the absolute sweetest and cutest thing he has ever seen and the two of you instantly hit it off and were to be wed. And then you both died the night before your wedding.
Then more than a century later he saw you once again! You were identical! Except of course the difference in clothing, general speaking mannerisms, and he sadly noted your accent had died down along with the fact you seemed to have lost weight (yes Emmet prefers to have more to love).
It wasn't really falling in love again for him just general Oh my gosh my wife is back! He was already in love with you anyway.
Rygel
The two of you knew each other for a while, except the majority of that time Rygel was in his childhood-state. In his childhood state Rygel never really existed as he was kinda not really there. During this state his genes were suppressed so he could successfully be an imposter and this also meant he laid very low so almost no one remembered these times.
But after his 'glo-up' and he actually became Rygel he eventually ran into you and your conspiring friends.
You seemed okay in his book. You were intelligent and attractive, he supposes. But your glorious mind convinced him. His people are attracted by minds instead of pheromones as minds tend to have a certain 'aura' and feel to them. Their mates minds tend to have an amazing effect on them that can sometimes be equated to a pleasant massage.
So Rygel immediately knew that you were his mate. Now Rygel HATES humans through and through. He absolutely despises everything about them but you are the only exception he can think of. You are just.. so much better than all of them. Truly, a diamond in the rough. Rygel always feels a pang in his heart thinking about how a being like you were forced to live life with such scum.
Mr. Mittens
He was just a freshly escaped lab experiment that went to the best place at the time for stray cats (which he technically wasn't) which just so happened to be your town.
This town had just had a HUGE influx of birds so it meant many yum-yums for the kitties. He was doing pretty good in his tuxedo form but then it started to rain so he ran onto your back patio (which happened to have a little covering).
Turns out you saw this cute cat hiding from the rain through some sliding doors and let him in. You got him some nice towels, a heating blanket, kitty food and water. It turns out you were just planning to get a cat yourself!
Things were going pretty well and he enjoyed his new home. But he was technically an animal..
and instincts sometimes take over.
Xavier
You were the one assigned to give him a school tour at he turned literally 4 others away. He found you tolerable so you became to only person he would talk to.
He enjoyed your company and in a few days he seemed to fall for your charms. With everything you did you just seemed perfect for royalty and he was constantly reminded how much better you were than your classmates.

My Experiences in Unova #1
Unova is the home of a good friend of mine, and it's also the home of many other friends I've made while exploring what the region had to offer. And I loved every single moment while being there!
Tumblr media
Unova is a huge region, one of the biggest places I've ever visited actually, and there was never a boring moment. The region is something of an adventurer's paradise, as there's a niche mix of both modern and ancient traditional culture in different parts of the land. You have this big huge gathering place of a region that's full of densely populated cities, with people coming in from all different parts of the world to discover more ways to enjoy Pokémon battling, as well as go on vacation tours to different exciting attractions. But Unova also has its share of history that dates back thousands of years, to times of medieval reign. Castles, kings and queens, royal dragons that held special meaning to the way Unova was once ruled.
But I'm writing this entry to talk about how I came to this region and what I enjoyed about it, not create a brochure for people looking for a good place to go on vacation, although I suppose it could be read as one! You can take this as my invite to you to visit the Unova region as well.
When I first came to Unova, I was on a ferry trip from Kalos's Coumarine City to Castelia City, as Robin had invited me to go with him in search of his tall green-haired friend. I first joined him on his search for this guy in the city hotel, and after this region-wide goose chase didn't prove successful (despite leads from people who probably have seen him pass by), Robin concluded that the man must have returned to his home region, that being Unova, which also happened to be where Robin came from! Robin then offered to bring me with him to Unova so I can see what's it like down there, and it didn't take much thought for me to agree to going with him. I had already obtained every badge in Kalos and took a shot at challenging the region's league, so I decided, why not? New places are always exciting!
However, new places weren't the only thing I was going to meet, as during my trip in Unova, I would get to meet a number of interesting Trainers besides the tall man Robin had pursued, some of who are good friends with Robin, and are even some of Robin's own family!
There was Hilbert, who I happened to bump into on my way to Driftveil City, who told me that if I happened upon someone with brown long hair and a pink and white cap, that I need to tell her about some new kid hanging around Nimbasa's train station and that he's a big deal. That pink capped woman happened to be his sister Hilda, who I met sometime later in Mistralton City after exiting the gym. I tell you what, she nearly scared me when she pretended to challenge me to a battle! But, instead she went ahead and helped me heal my Pokémon, saving me a trip to the center. The kid that Hilbert was talking about was a fairly young Trainer with big hair named Nate, who was trying the Unova trains challenge so he can challenge and defeat the train masters Emmet and Ingo. I lent him an extra hand in challenging the trains since I was curious as well, turns out it's a lot like the Battle Frontier, except it's a local Trainer challenge spot. Nate and I managed to reach one of the masters, Ingo, and we were even able to best him in battle! So we ended up becoming really good friends in the process.
I could go on longer, but I'm almost out of page space for entries, so I'm gonna have to pause my ramblings here and save it for another time.

Birthday Letter for him + short story
I’m dumping everything here, it’s also a peek inside my head after all.

It’s the 24th of April, 12:04 am, she sat in her bed, with her laptop in front of her. She’s feeling a bit down but she wanted to do it, she wanted to give him something, at least a small surprise, for his birthday. Saddened by the reality that this is going to be his first birthday and she won’t able to give him something grand, she thought this could make up for it, hopefully. She pursed her lip, then smiled as she thought of the day they met.
Do you remember the first time we met? Probably not, but I still do. I was just there, standing, then Jake and you started talking. Man, I just looked at you maybe once or twice, but the image of you got engraved in my mind. Up to this day, I still have a huge crush on you.
She chuckled to herself, realizing how silly that sounded. Jojis Sanctuary came on, memories flashed in her mind for a split second. That song is always going to be nostalgic to her, it just explains her emotions, a lot. She used to just want a person that would make her feel that she’s needed, wants to fall in love again, want to feel loved, in general. Realization hit her, that right now, finally, she found that someone.
Anyways, first, I just want to thank you, for you. You came into my life and gave me another reason to go on every day, you are the reason I look forward to every tomorrow. Thankful for all the emotions you made me feel, from the happiest ones to the saddest ones. If you ever feel like you’re worthless, always remember that you are the reason why someone isn’t giving up on life yet, you are someone’s shining light in the pitch-black dark. Remember that you saved someone from misery, you made someone feel like they are worth loving. You make the world feel like it’s less cruel, I’m just really grateful for your existence.
She cupped her cheeks as she reread what she typed, sadness gone, just happiness, just him.
Finally, you’re 18! Happy birthday, Christopher Emmet. The love of my life. It’s sad that we won’t be able to celebrate it this year, but surely on your next birthday, we will. I’m so proud of you, you know? Life can be so unfair most times but you always look for things to be thankful for, you really are a gem, you’re unique, you’re one in a million, and I actually meant that. As long as I’m here, I want to see you grow, and even help you to be your best self. Always remember that I will always be here for you, no matter what happens between us, that’s a promise. I’ll never leave you, I’ll be by your side to support you, lead you, take care of you, guide you, fight you, laugh with you, cry with you, and all that, especially, to love you. I know I’ll never find anyone like you, because you’re special and different like that. Happy birthday to my favorite person in the world. I love you so much, Emmet. I hope you can still enjoy your day this quarantine, I miss you.
She smiled to herself as she typed her heart out on the paragraph. She misses him like that, it’s been two months, life’s depressing, dreadful long days just pass by, she just wants to see him again, feel the warmth of his hugs, hold his hands, eat a nice meal with him, kiss him, and all that.
She sighed, inclining her back against the wall. Looking to her side, she saw pictures of them.
“The things I’d do to get those days back again,” she told herself, sighing.
Putting the laptop aside, she closed her eyes as she imagined the day she’s looking forward to.
Calm, that’s what her fellow students perceived her as she walked pass Daily Picks, she can fool other people all she can but she can never deceive herself.
Outside, she’s composed, but inside, she can’t contain herself. She feels like her heart is going to jump out of her ribcage, sounds exaggerated but that’s what she’s really feeling inside.
She’s just so nervous, yet so excited, to see him once again.
Once she took the turn from Sugnaan, she looked up and tried to look for him at the said meeting place. There was a lot of students gathered around but she still found him in an instant.
There he is, standing near the stairs to 7/11. Hands on the pockets of his worn-out jeans, wearing the sweatshirt she gave him, earphones in, bobbing his head to whatever he’s listening to. His hair tied in a low ponytail, a few strands covering a portion of his face.
She stopped in her tracks, just looking at him and waiting for him to look at her.
“Look at me,” she whispered to herself, “look at me, Emmet.”
He finally glanced to her direction; his lips formed into a smile.
She missed him. She did, so much.
She didn’t even realize that she was already sprinting, running to him.
“Rhoe,” he called out as she draws near.
“Emmet!” She basically cried out, finally reaching him and first thing she did was hug him.
“I missed you.” She mumbled, with her face buried in his chest.
He immediately hugged her back, wrapping his arms around her tightly.
“I missed you too, love.” He replied. He planted a kiss on her forehead.
This is the only thing she wanted in those melancholic months, the medicine to the heavy feelings in her chest, the only person to keep her sane.
His hugs, his love, Him.
She pulled back from the hug and looked at him eye to eye and grinned like an excited kid on Christmas day, he did the same then they broke into laughter.
“Can I get a hug again? I really missed you.” She pouted.
“You can get all the hugs you want today, tomorrow, and for the next days.” He told her, kissing her forehead again and pulling her into a hug. She sighed in relief, hugging him back.
“As long as I am here, you can get hugs and kisses any time you want.”
She was just home for the past few months but at that moment felt like she was finally home.
For he is her favorite place, her safe space.
He is her home. He is her sanctuary.
