That's Right #lackadaisy #WHICH i have been reading since at least '07 when i was thirteen my god b/c this animation is based on the ongoing webcomic #like does its influence show up Directly in some Discrete way i can point to in my art? not very easily probably. And Yet.#the inspiration....i wasn't able to be Regularly Only for at least another year / art done Nonprofessionally Online was novel to me #like wow ppl can make & post fanart of w/e they love huh....didn't know webcomics were a thing & i never really read that many since but.#good god the quality of Lackadaisy at its onset is like this is superb?? this person putting in all their talent and effort???#and Then you get years & years more art and i don't even know what superlatives to throw out abt its quality as it evolves. obsessed w/it..#if i see a new lackadaisy comic page i Will be acting out. obviously this animation is a delight & also stunning. and fascinating to also #juxtapose as a Translation / Interpretation of the comic in a different medium & standalone snippet of Story #and that we're not even quite there in the comic timeline; Taking Notes abt character info we get distilledly here....genuinely love like #take it back to '07 i'm like oh boy can't wait for the dream team to assemble. then a decade later when it did? hmm... actually, my most unpopular opinion within certain jason circles is that I believe he does NOT smoke anymore. certainly not post-resurrection.

It's just thrown in the book right at the very end #Can't even find this one online! This might be the first time anyone's posted these pencils????#It has a sort of GG Overture quality to it. Wonder if it was done in 2006-2007 #That's not Overture Sol but Overture's official art has a bit of a sharp edged style to it and exaggerated stitching/layering on the outfits #The hair especially feels like Overture here but Overture's art doesn't have any hatching like this one does #Maybe it was early production art before the style was decided on for the game?#There's an illustration that I haven't yet scanned from the GG2O book where Sol's head is almost at the same angle as it is here #But of course I'm just putting my half-baked art degree to use here hahah Who friggin knows what was going on when Daisuke drew this #It's entirely possible he just farted it out cuz he felt like it

it’s a long story i don’t want to get into both because this person has no following on tumblr or in this fandom so there’s no reason for me to publicize this information and because i really just want to wash my hands of it. this is the only thing i’ll say about it unless the other person tries escalating further

tl;dr: a white person who was claiming to be lakota (and black) wrote a callout post accusing us of racism because we were trying to de-escalate an argument instead of allowing them to attack and lie about people as much as they wanted. also they’re racefaking. did i mention the racefaking?

I’m in the very early stages of starting a little diy zine about horror movies! I have no experience in this so advice is appreciated lol. But I’m hoping to have it out by July. I’m calling it PHOBIA and the theme of this one is summer horror, so not strictly ones that take place in summer but they got the vibes. Along with the horror theme there’s also gonna be a smaller section about upcoming music/concerts/etc too. Going to attempt to have it in print but it may end up digital if that’s easier for me. And I’m having open submissions!

I’m open to all things, art, reviews and rantings, movie recommendations, original fiction or horror poetry, even your urban legends (got a story about a evil ice cream truck lol I’d love to hear it!). The subjects so far are:

Hmmmmmmmm quick question! What do you do when your executive dysfunction has reached such a critical state that you:

are actively ignoring things you desperately need to do

are ghosting your employers (even though you can make it all go away by doing the one thing you most need to do: send an email and QUIT)

have almost three dozen notifications that you can't even bring yourself to look at

completely unironically have done nothing but sleep and flip between two apps for days

are fucking up your professional/financial future even though you need to move out in a matter of months

are paralyzed by anxiety that keeps mounting to increasingly unsustainable heights

YET

you GENUINELY CANNOT figure out how to PHYSICALLY FORCE YOUR BODY to do the (extremely short, extremely important) list of things you keep telling yourself you're going to do

because at this point you can't even shower or change the clothes you've been wearing for days on end?

I haven't revisited the new trailers in their entirety but I know he's not in it (aside from Nakai being listed in the credits). It'll be interesting to see where the teaser lines pop up in-game, since we've seen Jo's already in the story trailer... anyway who are you talking to old man... or I guess Young Man...

NO AKANE'S SO FUCKING BADASS FROM WHAT WE KNOW ALREADY need to meet her NOW... she has every single organization out to get her for real though... If I May Be So Bold As To Hope, characters like her have been faring decently well for the past little while (there's a very similar character in The Kaito Files who's fine), so I'd love for Ichiban to at least get to meet her. I know RGG will never let biological family off the hook but I hope Arakawa and Aoki and maybe Jo's sacrifices can secure at least that much... Lol...

Based on the final shots of him in the epilogue, I do think Jo was past the point of having any big reactions to Aoki's death. Honestly, I'll admit it looked like what we saw was his reaction, or the aftermath of it, to me; Japanese inmates aren't cut off from current news and I can imagine the assassination of the governor would be a big deal, even if it's been a while.

I can definitely see him having the instinct to blame Ichi, but I also feel like he was sort of starting to become aware that blaming Ichi didn't accomplish anything near the end. His admonishment of Ichi for being "late" to try and save Hoshino felt pretty half-hearted compared to past instances, like he was going through the motions of their usual interactions but didn't think it was fair himself. He seems to be more or less fine with Ichi now, at any rate...

Either way, it'd be a big missed opportunity to just have Jo ship Ichiban off to Hawaii without some reflective dialogue between them considering everything they've been through together, so fingers crossed for that. I'd love to see your take in whichever form you'd wanna pursue!

That Aside I hope your charger comes in soon </3 might help take your mind off things if you got to draw... Gaiden and Infinite Wealth and whatever else is to come will be worth it, so as always, hang in there and take care brother!

i wish i was as non-competitive as i like to think. every time i gamer rage even a little it reminds me that there are a lot of things, maybe even a majority of things, that i'm pretty bad at. and i can either choose to be fine with that, or i can make the wrong choice.

just started rewatching ugly betty bc i had read some v excellent betty/daniel fic i thought recently but i guess it was a couple years ago lol, i just couldn’t follow everything, because i didn’t remember all the characters/plots that well ANYWAY from what i remember idt i really thought of betty/daniel romantically until the end of the series, i remember liking her with henry before he became a shit (at least i’m pretty sure that’s what happened, i haven’t watched since this show since it ended 13 years ago) but other than that there’s not TOO much that sticks with me, i just know i loved the ending but ofc was left wanting more at the time but ya while i think i was reading fic on ff.net in 2010 there were only a few things i would’ve been searching for at that point SO once i get through the series i’m gonna have so much fun bc i read 3 fics from that author and they’ve published like 12 more stories this year and i’m gonna be able to understand them so much better, but yeah just now rewatching the pilot i’m like oh my god how did i not immediately love them i mean obviously daniel was a dick but he apologized and at the end of the ep he’s watching her fondly and i’m just ahhhh over them already bc i know the romantic aspect aside there’s such excellent growth in them and their relationship and i can’t wait to watch it play out

#ik there will be the storylines i DON'T love and ofc rebecca romijn playing a trans woman #and i'm sure loads of transphobia in her storyline itself #but yeah like i remember the characters fondly and everything but so much is of course gone from my head #also obvs it at least got a proper finale which is something but i wonder if it would've gone longer if not for the writers strike #i need to add all the things i watched in that period of time to my watchlist bc there's a lot i loved #and some i drifted away from bc that was in the time where like you had to watch it live #and were lucky to catch the episode repeating later #so like i stopped watching bones and heroes and supernatural (actually not sure i got past season 1 of supernatural at the time #though...i should not have been watching that at 10 probably lol and ofc i later watched it through in college then stopped again #so. i still have to actually finish that eventually)#and then pushing daisies i THINK i watched all of #but i remember they had like the last few episodes air after ages and ages or something and i'm not sure i got to watch them #once it got to like 2009/2010 i was able to watch stuff online though all i remember is starting glee from the beginning a little bit late #maybe still in season 1 just the first episodes idk but it was only 72 minutes at a time and it was the WOOOORST #love having everything at my fingertips now lol for the most part anyway #but yeah other than like one tree hill and gg and charmed most things from the mid-2000s i have not watched since then so #i gotta think of what else there is bc much as i love it i do not actually need to rewatch gg every year

i hate chemistry

#been here for almost 3 years and had never made a post out of anxiety for being interesting or posting good content but today i say #to hell with it #let my first post in here be about my hate towards chemistry rn ig #past me thought taking the class fully online would be a brilliant idea #...SIKE!!#dam course gave me a scare so bad i lost my apetite for almost two days #was almost taken out of the course for inactivity which could've made me lose my scholarship #but it's looking like i'll be able to stay.#now i just have to deal with the 10 or so assignments i have due 🙂🙃#plus all the projects from my concentration courses #guess i'll just be miserable for a month lmao.#i just wanna watch the dragon prince #catch up to toh and ml #and get started on my tbr pile #but noooo #fucking chemistry #what's funny is that it's super basic chemistry mixed with physics. like introductory shit #but i find it so tedious and such a waste of time ugh #respect to all the chem enthusiasts out there cuz i could never #*sighs* wish me luck lol #i'm gonna need a lot of it jaja #rant
