In honor of the ask asking for your top 10 atla scenes.... I now want to know the 10 scenes you just absolutely hate, despise, would want to delete from the show altogether.

(if you don't got 10 it's fine, even only one really)

Haha this is funny,,,

So idk if I would say despise or hate any scene but I can share my least favorite?

1. Aang kissing katara after she told him she needed space. It came off forceful & it really put a creepy energy around aang which I didn’t appreciate. I enjoy aang and i felt it was very out of character for him to do that. i don’t think the writing there was very well thought out and I’ve seen people call him very unkind words because of it,

2. Iroh pretending to be paralyzed so he could lay on top of a paralyzed June. I saw it as a conflict of character because he’s supposed to be this wonderfully amazing so wise uncle and yet he was a fucking pervert here.

3. Ummm I would have made some adjustments to the Zuko comes into azulas room to confront her and she acts oddly sexual around him which idk was very…. Weird to me? I think maybe the writers and animators didn’t have the best communication or something because i understood the direction I THINK they were trying to go but the execution was a little too seductive for my taste.

I’m not sure if there are any more I would remove (I could be missing something but I’m done over thinking it) I WILL SAY … there are some things I would have added to make scenes/plot points I disliked a bit better?

1. katara going up to Sokka after she told him he didn’t love their mother as much as him and apologizing. Like Wtf that was super cruel & the writers should have held her accountable for what she said and made her apologize.

2. Some fucking Ozai iroh background or SOME kind of explainatipn why iroh pretty much REFUSED to have any involvement with Ozai. Even neglecting after three years to tell Zuko Ozai was cruel and a bad father iroh straight up just avoided it in my opinion & then did this whole speech of “brother vs brother is not a way to end the war”

BUTTTT….

Teenager brother & SISTER is totally acceptable go fuck your sister up Zuko bring me back a t shirt. (Or die idk she can shoot Lightning you can’t sucks for you have funnn looovvveeee youuuyu)

3. Ok idk what this counts as (yes it’s a children’s show so I do understand the children had to be the hero’s but like….) WHYYYYY DID every white lotus member stay in BSS??? I think each CHILD soldier group should have had a fucking chaperone or something. Come on iroh for fucks sake dude.

4. I also wish they would have let katara keep her hand scars. It would be a good message that accidents sometimes carry heavy consequences & even if you’re sorry it doesn’t magically fix the situation. I think katara would have been able to be even more relatable & badass if she had hand scars. (I mean spirit water still gave aang a scar so….. idk this is my more person preference haha.)

Ok sorry this went a weird direction but all together I love the show :) obviously. Haha.

it's my day off and I have already had one formal phone call and I'm now waiting for my new desk chair to be ready for pickup and I had an exhaustive day yesterday hosting vaalikahvit for five adults, one toddler and two dogs, so may I pleeeeaaaaaasssseeee get to fuck around and imagine blorbo nonsense and draft an AU fic I'll never write because I still haven't made that sideblog for this kinda shit instead of doing anything useful?? 😩🙏

so today I'm thinking of a no-band-AU semi-inspired by this post I made a week ago

in which Olli and Aleksi have recently moved in together in their new fancy house and they're so happy and in love and having a lot of sex (yes this is an important plot detail 🥰)

(spoiler alert: there is no plot. not even a little bit (hence I won't be writing this))

their relationship had a controversial start because they were still dating other people when they fell in love

Joonas is pining for Joel who's in a toxic on/off relationship with Samy

Joel may be struggling with something else too idk haven't decided, but Joonas is there for him always and he loves Joel so so much

as for Tommi and Niko: maybe Tommi and Olli used to be an item at some point, although he's not the one Olli broke up with to be with Aleksi

and maybe Joonas and Niko had something going on but Niko ended it because he saw how in love with Joel Joonas was

so Niko and Tommi have lots of deep discussions about whether it's weird for Tommi to see Olli with Aleksi (not really because it's been a while and he can see how happy Olli is now (way happier than he was with his previous partner))

and about how it is for Niko to see Joonas suffering so much because of Joel (it's hard but there's not much niko can do about it is there)

and yeah they end up spending the night together at some point 👀 they decide to keep it casual and low-key though so they tell no one

eventually it becomes maybe a little more than just friends hooking up but they're still sorta chill about it and it feels very natural (for Tommi it's better than the random one-night-stands he's been having and for Niko it's definitely better than worrying about Joonas all time time)

and yeah, as it is a non-band-AU I've also given some thought to what they all could be doing instead of being in a band (which is my favourite part of non-band-AUs hehe)

first of all, Tommi is a paramedic because I recently re-watched this old interview in which they all tell the what they'd be doing for a living if they weren't musicians in a band and that's Tommi's answer

ngl it would be kinda funny if I gave everyone the occupation they mention in the video but I think 'gravedigger' for Niko would be a tad too gloomy for the purposes of this AU lol, so he's a writer. a struggling one maybe, but still, and he spends a lot of time in his head (very in-character I knoooooooww <3)

Olli is a graphic designer at a... ummm... a place where graphic designers work? idk just some company, he works from home a lot (so that he can have sex with his bf during his breaks)

Aleksi is still a producer, has a fancy-ass studio in the house. Robin is one of the artists he works with, because of course he is

Olli and Aleksi secretly want to ask Robin if he'd be up for a threesome but he's a literal puppy and oblivious and they don't know how to bring it up lol

and maybe Johnny's Aleksi's co-producer and they also fantasize about having threesome with him 😂 sorry yes they are very horny and kinky in this AU

not sure what Joel and Joonas could be doing, but I like to imagine them as co-workers in some kinda music business or whatever. maybe they're also roommates, just to make it extra painful for Joonas 😭 and maybe Joel is a musician on the side (plays covers at bars etc.), because I simply can't imagine him another career than music

(Joonas goes to see his every single gig, sometimes without Joel knowing it)

a random "scene" I've thought of includes Niko and Joonas coming over to test the new sauna at the Matela-Kaunisvesi residence, but because Niko and Joonas feel awkward having sauna together, they end up mixing the pairs and so we have Aleksi and Niko having deep discussions in the sauna and Joonas and Olli talking about sex while waiting for their turn lol (they've been friends since forever and maybe had some experiments together when they were teens so it's very natural for them)

but yeah, the reason why I'm not writing this AU is because I have no clear plot for it 😔 but honestly? sometimes it's fun just creating these AUs and characters in my head 🥺

I wish I could write all these ideas into actual stories but I'm scared of biting off more than I can chew, so I intimidate and overwhelm myself from even giving it a fair try 😭

so that's it pretty much! if anyone wants to help me figure out an actual story idea out of this, you know where to find me 👋

next I think I'm gonna go keep on procrastinating by creating Olli & Aleksi's fancy-ass house on The Sims 4 byeeeeeee

Feeling fucking weird rn 🙃

Anyway, I also kinda reactivated my profiles on two "dating" apps in hopes of meeting people because I'm lonely af and I just need to meet people, can't be that I met more people on Finland than I ever met here (when I'm fucking living here!!) and ugh... But also I hate these apps and nobody seems to have similar interests... Most of them are just looking for a fling and and if someone looks like they could have similar interests I just have to check their bio (if they have one at all because most people don't 😑) to find out they don't and just idk liked the style or did it for reason xy which is kinda just not what I was looking for (or they have political views that I don't agree with at all so I'll also go like no thank you but we don't talk about that <3)

Alternative to me rotting on dating apps to find friends... Somebody come pick me up and take me to Finland/Italy/?? with them please and thank you ;-;

Ok so I asked (begged) my ex multiple times if he would play soccer with me and he would always hem and haw about it or straight up say no. Now he’s having a whole “soccer phase” and I’m lowkey upset because I had been asking him to do it with me for so long

this is a side grievance but like.. mac’s default color system is Color LCD which is fine and dandy if ur like... just using ur mac for non-art things... but it also means that everyone looking at digital art on a mac is likely looking at a color scheme that is different from what the artist probably drew it as.

most art programs (like procreate and adobe) will use RBG color profiles or CYMK as defaults (procreate is RBG since its not built for printing but rather for creating digital pieces). RBG is good for digital art that you would post online and CYMK is typically what’s used when you’re printing with ink on a printer. in short, a color profile helps sync the computer display with what would come out of your printer or (in the case of phones and cameras) what you are taking a photo of.

now.. normal people don’t rly need to know that bc if they’re not digital artists, it’s not really going to affect their life. but it also means that when they look at art on their computer, they’re usually not seeing the full range of color that the piece was originally drawn in.

Color LCD struggles a lot with speed bc it needs to rearrange some things to be able to make sense of the colors and put it on the screen. since consumers value speed, a lot of computer manufacturers (mac being one) will speed up Color LCD displays by reducing the number of colors it can process and recognize and as a result certain colors are displayed differently in hue and tone on the screen. it’s almost inconsequential... except when you’re looking at art or clothing or anything where the colors matter.

like... that colored sketch i just posted for example... the sky in that drawing when it’s displayed on my ipad in the procreate program is a soft (almost baby) blue. on my computer, it’s displayed as a light indigo or periwinkle... which is FINE but it’s less compelling and dulled down when compared to how i actually drew it. the difference is almost miniscule, but not small enough that if you held them next to each other, it’s not noticeable. it is VERY noticeable. and it’s BEYOND frustrating.

it’s also why i’m not surprised when people who order things on their laptop get the product and the color is different than what they saw online. part of that could be manufacturer errors, but part of it could also be owed to the actual color profile of your computer... especially if the difference is minimal. any artist knows very well that even the slightest difference in color can change the entire feel of a piece and anyone who pays attention to what colors look good on them knows that the smallest changes in tone can wash you out.

anyway... all this to say that im frustrated bc the colors on that sketch do NOT look like that, though the problem is KIND OF fixed on mobile.

i’m not sure if the photo does the difference justice and the colors STILL aren’t accurate for the reasons above if ur looking at this on a macbook with the default color profile (and bc they are photos of screens which usually distorts color)... but this kinda shows the difference in what im talking about.

the left is what is displayed on my computer and the right is what is displayed on my ipad. keep in mind that these colors are 1) photos of screens 2) and processed through sending and uploading so they’ve lost some quality and the true value of their colors. but this should be adequate enough to show you the general difference between the two colors.

the colors themselves aren’t accurate, but the difference is. anyway... that’s the difference between the mac default Color LCD and RBG color profiles.

A/N: Before you all come for me don’t worry there is a part 3 and it’s the final part of this little trilogy lol also idk why I added in Frank and the Hideout backstory it was just something that was sitting in the back of my mind and it fit. Anywayyyy enjoy!!✨

You smooth out the front of your shirt as you sit down on one of the worn out barstools at the back of the Hideout. It’s been exactly a week since you met Eddie and it only felt right that the two of you have your first official date at the bar you met at. Over the span of a week you two have gotten to know each other quite well, you learned that Eddie would much rather FaceTime you than text you because he likes to hear your voice, especially your laugh he loves how it sounds even through the phone. You also learned that he loves his job, he works at the garage in town and he’s always got his head under someone’s hood fixing a transmission or tinkering with a stubborn fuel line.

Eddie has learned things about you as well, he knows that you like to read before bed and he doesn’t know why but it shocked him a bit to learn the two of you have a few books in common on your bookshelves. He notices things like how you try to hide your face when you’re smiling and he just assumes that’s something you’ve always done but he’s made a mental note to try to remind you how pretty you are when you smile because it’s really one of his favorite things to see. You go on little rants about things that have bothered you during the day and he loves how passionate you get because your arms go everywhere and you also always end it with “you know what I mean?” and even if he has no clue he can’t help but smile and just nod and reassure you that yes he knows what you mean.

The two of you have grown close over the past several days and you’ve started to develop a rather large crush on the long haired metal head. Luckily for you though Eddie made his feelings known the night he drove you home from the hideout.

“You know what?” You turn your head and look at Eddie who’s smiling at you as he watches you reach for the handle of the passenger side door of his van.

“What?” Eddie leans over his middle console so he can tuck a few stay hairs behind your ear making you blush as you feel his hand brush against your cheek.

“I think I like you.” You raise an eyebrow at him as you playfully glare at him making him laugh.

“You think?” You tease as Eddie reaches for your hand that has his skull ring on it, you smile as you watch him twirl it around your finger since it’s a little too big for you but you like how it feels so you haven’t taken it off.

“Sorry sweetheart.” He looks up at you as you find yourself leaning into him. “I know I like you.” He adds right before he places a kiss to your lips making you smile as he pulls away.

The sound of a glass being set down in front of you jolts you out of your daydream as you blink a few times before looking around to see if Eddie has shown up yet. You look at your phone and see it’s only ten minutes past six, the time you both agreed to meet so you just brush it off to him being a little late and look up to see the bartender cleaning a few glasses in front of you.

“What can I get ya?” Frank the bartender and half owner of the Hideout asks as he gives you a smile. “I make a mean martini.” He jokes as he shoots you a playful wink making you laugh.

“Uh I’ll just have a vodka tonic please.” He nods and starts making your drink. “Have you worked here a while?” You ask trying to make small talk to help the time pass before Eddie shows up and this is only the second time you’ve ever been here so might as well get to know the bartenders.

“You could say that.” Frank answers as he slides your drink in front of you. “I’m Frank and I may not look it but I’m one of the Hideout's original customers.” You just nod your head encouraging him to continue as you take a sip of your drink, Frank is an older gentleman with long gray hair he has tucked into a low pony on the back of his neck and a few tattoos scattered around his forearms that are only visible because he has his flannel rolled up to his elbows. “I helped them name this place because we used to meet here back in the day when it wasn’t actually a bar, to hideout from people we didn’t want to see or nagging wives we were avoiding so when they wanted to turn it into a bar I said why not just call it the Hideout?” Frank explained and you couldn’t help but giggle at the mention of avoiding nagging wives.

“It’s a great name.” You watch him smile as he looks around the bar to see if anyone needs anything.

“Meeting someone?” Frank asks as he glances down at the giant skull ring on your ring finger.

“Uh yeah.” You’re not sure how to answer his question so you just go with your gut. “My husband actually.” Frank just smiles and nods as he goes back to cleaning glasses as you slowly sip on your drink as you anxiously look at your phone again and let out a sigh when you see it’s now six thirty.

Eddie is elbows deep in a minivan’s engine that is just refusing to let him get his fingers in the correct place to install a new part. He lets out a frustrated groan as he takes a step back from the van and places his grease covered hands on his hips and closes his eyes and looks up towards the ceiling of the garage. He wonders for a moment what you’re going to wear on your date with him tonight, he’s had tonight circled on his calendar all week and he’d be lying if he didn’t say he even added little hearts to it and everything.

“Why do all minivans have to be so damn stubborn?” He mumbles as he opens his eyes and takes a step closer to the van. “I’m just trying to help you.” He explains as he uses his wrist to wipe some sweat off his brow, as he drops it back down to his side he feels his whole world begin to move in slow motion when he catches the time on his watch. “Oh fuck fuck fuck.” He drops the wrench in his left hand and heads for the break room of the garage.

“Eddie?” Greg the parts guy asks as Eddie rushes past him so he can grab his stuff from his locker.

“I’m late!” Eddie shouts over his shoulder as he heads for the door. He quickly jumps into his van and starts the engine as he digs around in his bag for his phone. “You’ve got to be fucking kidding.” He groans when he sees his phone is on 10% battery because he forgot to put it on the charger after falling asleep on FaceTime with you last night. He looks at the clock and silently prays to whoever it is that might be listening to let you still be waiting for him even though it’s well after eight at night and he was supposed to meet you at six.

“Shit shit.” He presses your name in his phone and it rings once before his whole screen goes black meaning his phone is dead. “Fuck!” Eddie feels like his heart is in his stomach as he pulls out of the parking lot of his work and heads straight for the Hideout.

He doesn’t look for your car in the bar’s parking lot because he knows you planned to get dropped off so he could just take you home. He not so gently snatches his keys from the ignition after putting it in park and slams his door closed as he exits the van. He ignores the looks he’s getting form the men outside smoking as he rushes into the bar, he’s sure he looks like he’s lost with his work overalls on tied around his waist and his hair in a messy bun and grease stains everywhere. Frank turns when he hears the door open and he raises an eyebrow at Eddie when he lets out a sigh at all the empty seats in the back of the bar, exactly where you told him you’d be so he could meet you.

“Looking for your wife?” Eddie looks at the bartender and nods his head because you’d been jokingly calling yourself his wife all week so of course you’d tell the bartender you were waiting for your husband. Frank tosses something at Eddie and when he catches it and sees what it is he feels his heart break a bit. “Left about an hour ago.” He adds as Eddie stares at the skull ring that’s sitting in the palm of his hand.

“Oh no.” And with that Eddie turns on his heels and runs straight back out to the parking lot towards his van because no way is he letting him being an idiot be the reason you two end things.

Gotta say this chapter was a surprise too and I LOVED IT I’m glad that we’re finally getting to the the guys relax (somewhat) and that sokka finally wrote to katara!!

I can’t wait for their reactions, also I’m surprised sokka stayed as civil as he did with Ara

As time continues to pass relaxation is going to be much more easy to achieve. Sokka is coming down from the adrenaline, he is in a consistent environment, he has his a safe space where he can be alone with Zuko… so it will hopefully get easier for him.

Now as for the conversation with Ara… At this point I think Sokka just wants to be done with her, and he isn’t interested in wasting any time speaking to her. He had the conversation to appease his dad, but he didn’t really want to engage with Ara.

I think there were a few moments where Sokka was purposely cruel towards her, but I also think there were a few moments where Ara tried to justify why she did what she did… both of them didn’t handle it well, but they did their best.

Hello guys, not back…just here to say thank you for all the lovely messages and all the warmth I feel reading all of them. I promise to answer every single one even if takes me a few days. Im so overwhelmed in such a good way, I don’t know if that makes sense…I just feel so loved right now and I need it I fucking need it.

I don’t want to extend this and rant forever even though I would like to think how I only mentioned my dad that I was writing in English and he was so proud, so happy. He was the one that thought me the love for this language and for England. And I had the time to share with him a deep love for the 1975…he would love any band or singer I was obsessing with but he loved the guys and Matty particularly very much. He used to say this guy is very special, a bit crazy but amazing artist…I think Aries wounded men can spot each other.

Not so long ago we had a “fight” about All I Need to Hear (the song) and I was over the moon because I ‘won’. We fought about the pronunciation of a word…my mom says that he said “she’s better than me now”. I don’t know why I’m telling you all this but I’m using this blog as my fucking notes or something. I just feel that he’s a little in everything I do…the music I listen, the songs I chose and the stuff I write that he believed I was closer to Borges (which I’m very far from).

He was a complex person and we had real fights all the time but I love him with all my heart and every time I was begging for him to be here with my siblings, my mom and I. I know that some circumstances are so fucking hard to forget, overcome but if you are distanced from people you love very deeply and miss them don’t let any fight or whatever it drove you apart to separate you. I said this the other day and I still stand by it, life doesn’t wait for us…please don’t waste time and go hug them even if you have to scream some truths to their faces DO IT! I would do anything to keep fighting with my dad because that would mean he’s alive and here.

Day 2 of my daily art release thing. Favourite dumb core, Mr Wheat Lee (Wheatley) from Portal 2

So yea, I know it isn’t all that good, but I don’t mind, I didn’t spend a huge amount of time on it (only around 15 minutes compared to the 45 for yesterday’s GLaDOS).

I think that next week I will be keeping with the theme of Portal and draw the Portal Gun, and maybe make an attempt at Chell the week after.

If you have any ideas for things that I could write, draw, or code for future days then please say so, if not that totally fine too.

If you do wish to send an idea, I do not mind what it is, however I will be way more likely to draw things from franchises I already know and love, I may make another post just sorta talking about me and my interests, so if you want to give ideas maybe try and find that, as my bio/description will probably be a shorter version of that.

Submissions are not limited to fandoms either, real inanimate objects, or places or animals (no insects, bugs or arachnids however) are fine.

(I would prefer to not draw real people until I get better at it however)

Sorry it’s not that good, I may have been drawing this immediately after one of my closest and only friends said he isn’t capable of maintaining a healthy friendship with me because of me. So uhhh. I’m currently trying not to mentally breakdown since this is the uhh 4 time this has happened and I have been the reason every time (I am also trying to work on the main reason, yet clearly I haven’t made any progress at all)

Hey, Aubrey! Happy be-earlied Fab Friday! :D Just as I'd anticipated, I'm here to send you an early Fab Friday ask so I don't forget.

So, I have two concepts I wanna rant about. I'll try to keep them short since there's two.

So #1: my concepts for the new WIP.

So, I decided against doing nano after all. I just have too much going on to have the motivation to write regularly right now tbh and for the first time since the first time I did nano, I have no shame in it. :) I tried, I thought I could but I learned I couldn't. And it would be hypocritical of me, with how much I preach to allow yourself to take breaks without shame or guilt, for me to then feel bad about quitting nano. :)

But I've written a bit of that WIP since the last Fab Friday and it's already great. I'm so excited to continue it!

I'm gonna post a really short snippet from it instead of talking about it itself.

The day they exiled us, my parents tried to fight for our freedoms… and in the end, they lost their lives for it. They were martyrs in the cause of justice and fairness for my kind. I still never, not ever forget that fact.

The 2nd thing I wanna talk about is less about a WIP (for now) and more about the character the WIP is about.

So first of all, if you've never heard it yet, I recommend the song 1000%, but the WIP was inspired by the song How Villains Are Made by Madalen Duke. PHENOMENAL, haunting song, beautiful. And the second I heard the first few lines, the images of a villain going through their villain arc of BECOMING the villain raced through my mind. I have since then (last night) been working on her. Her name is Yvonne Scarlett Johanna (it was gonna be Johansson but then I was like 😬😬😬 oh right I love that name because it's an actress that I adore xD).

Anyway, she's secretly an artist. Has been tagging buildings since she was 14 or so. She accidentally killed her first victim, which was a police officer that had caught her tagging a building when she was 21 or 22 (I can't remember the exact age I wrote down).

Her calling card is what I'm REALLY EXCITED about though. She does graffitti that shows their faces but it's unique because one side of the face is all dolled up like they're going on a fancy date or something and the other side is like a decaying face, blood dripping from the face, rotting flesh, the whole nine yards. And to finish the scene, the corpse has paintbrushes (which were not used in the art, it's just for the art's sake) hanging out of the mouth. Her motivation, you ask? To show the world that art can change the world/make a difference.

I have a feeling she's gonna show up in one of my bigger projects because I'm already in love with her. xD I'm thinking she might be one of the killers that Belinda's ex, Ruby, who also happens to be Ikuisuus' first love interest (These are characters from a like 3-4 year old writing project called Death Has a Face) was going after. Ruby was a serial killer that killed serial killers xD and she dated Belinda to go after her. I think that Yvonne might be another woman she had figured out who she was and planned to kill. But I'm thinking maybe something caused her to change her mind.

Anywayyyy! This is so long, I'm sorry. I've been so excited to rant and ramble about my thoughts and ideas.

I am ALREADY in love with Yvonne!!! She sounds like a character who would make me scoop up a book off the shelf in a HEARTBEAT!!!

Also kudos to you for assessing whether you want to/have time for NaNo. Sometimes it can get really easy to overcommit, especially if you've been doing NaNo for a long time and you don't want to miss out.

But it's super important to prioritize your well-being, your mental health, and your energy alongside your writing ♥
