Sagittarius Sirene people appeal to others when they're fulfilling their purpose or having a clear direction in their lives. Prowl's first born, if he could be called like that, is something he tells you about when the idea of having your own finally pops up, he is concise in the matter but there is some kind of strange energy around when he mentions a word about the carrier, which you really want to get into because every ex of his is an acquaintance of yours to this point in the relationship, or even friends in the case of Chromedome (who's own conjunx still sends you codified texts to run away aboard the Lost Light next time they stop by Cybertron), but if Prowl is acting like that it only makes you remember the construticons, who are really nice but also way too bitter with him and still want his head on a plate.

He gives you a name, and it seems to be enough to make both sire and young spark to put a strange face at the mention of it, just as it makes Prowl make a face when you call on to Springer from time to time when he said you weren't overstepping boundaries by calling him near to the day Prowl said he was created, more or less, it still amazes you how they don't even remember most of the time when one's birthday is, but it was in the middle of the war, so it's understandable even when the cultural difference catched you unprepared.

It's not the first time you cross paths with him face to faceplate, but is indeed the first time he talks to you without awkwardness floating around and also the first time he puts a pede on your house, into Prowl's house, no more strange energy since your husband isn't home, not as much as usual at least; from the get go he is totally gentle with you, as always, helping in what he can or in what you need, Prowl isn't near so the help is greatly appreciated when your hands are mostly occupied with your child that looks around and how comical Springer finds the fact he is starting to have a little 'v' forming on his fore helm, Springer had a human friend, he tells you about her, and you can say he misses her in the way he imagines how she would be bewildered if she ever got to see a sparkling while alive, or even knew about it.

As if being called on, the little protoform moves the newly formed pedes against you, blue optics looking at Springer with what you can only describe as curiosity, far from being intimidated at the new bot and, now that you think about it, Springer is the first bot Chainbreaker has seen apart from his sire and the constructicons.

Prowl is overprotective like that, you'll talk to him about it, later.

There some kind of energy between them, you can tell, being not exactly capable of understand what your baby is saying apart from some noises that Springer is hearing with all the attention in the world, you can feel the hairs on the back of your neck standing, most likely CB is trying to communicate in that electronic kind of way most cybertronians do.

Curiosity gets the better of you, inclining just slightly in order to have CB's attention, little optics looking back at you and newly developed servos trying to catch what he can, little mouth doing the same, "What are they saying?"

"Honestly, no idea" one of his digits get a piece of your hair out of Chainbreaker's mouth, avoiding just in time in order to prevent any oral fluid on him, both look at each other with curiosity, Springer has never seen a sparkling this close before, nor is he thinking about having one, he is far too young for that and single, the idea of age difference still gives you headaches.

It gets a little hard but you get CB out of the back carrier and into your arms, only having a few weeks of existence but your child is as big as a human toddler to this point, one that is still looking at the big green mech in front, which makes you ask out loud: "Do you want to hold CB?"

Now, Springer is an autobot commander at such a young age (at least for a Cybertronian), having a complete unit at his disposition and a reputation that has been written by energon of enemies and allies in the worst case scenario, tales of him killing an adversary are told around, dirtying his servos in order to achieve a general goal, in that way it makes you remember of Prowl and how they are indeed alike, they do have some features in common even when Prowl said it doesn't work for cybertronians in the same way it works for humans or tech organics.

But you're so sure they look exactly the same when it comes to carry Chainbreaker, the same full open optics, almost like they were frightened, the cold expression not because they don't care but because they are scared by the mere idea of cradling the little sparkling and probably doing some damage by accident.

It took you an hour to get Prowl to admit it but you know what is going on with Springer in less time now.

Chainbreaker moves a little, maybe because the way you hold CB under the arms is starting to be a problem, making a sound that you have only heard when the distress is more than what your child can really handle, it's almost a clue for Springer to take the sparkling on his big servos, the feeling of ground to put his pedes is enough to stop the strange sound coming from the little mouth.

"CB likes you", you tell him so when his expression is still hardened by his doubts, maybe he doesn't really know if it's good for him to be near CB, but, even when Prowl will never openly admit it, you really wish for Chainbreaker to have a better relationship with Springer, call it human senses or whatever, the idea of your family as a whole brings you some kind of happiness that you once put as unnecessary while younger.

Springer takes a moment, finally cupping the little sparkling with his servos and giving stability to the little helm with two digits, just like he saw some humans do with their young while being stationed back on earth, you tell him he is a natural and Springer is about to admit he learned it a long time ago just to stop dead on his movements while looking at a corner of the room, one servo cradles Chainbreaker to his chassis and the other takes you out as fast and delicate as he can, putting both of your near his chassis and looking prettified, not hearing when you ask what is wrong only to look at the same direction as him.

"Ay", there is some kind of understanding in your tone while you get free way too easy, he reaches out for you, but how to explain? Has Prowl even said something? Does he even know? Maybe not, because you only hold a cup to catch what has put him in this state, "don't worry, these little things are normal back on earth, no need to be alarmed", you are cheerful while taking the little spider to the human sized green house attached with the living unit, letting it go freely, Springer swears it looks back at you and then at him before disappearing in the foliage of whatever earthling plant you have there, those are way too many coincidences, "must have come with the order of seeds I made before".

You have no idea, Springer decides so while still holding the sparkling that is trying to reach to his autobot badge, trying to grind the little 'v' forming on such a little helm against him.

He'll tell Prowl about it when he gets back, and think deeply about how much he has really changed in the past for it to end like this.

The fact that Prowl and Springer share the same Chevron on their fore helms, well, in case of Springer it's part of the structure of his helm just like Tarantulas when he was Mesothulas, it doesn't work that way for cybertronians but it's just perfect when you think about it, obviously Chainbreaker would also have it.

honest?i think every episode that without mordecai's relationship drama and park gang being cringed are great,especially the first few 1-3 sessions,those are great.but if it has to be a fav i think the return of "The mordecai and rigby's" is good.

it got the set up,conflict,and the plot is kind of fore seeing cuz it's mainly sarcasticing the band culture (is that the right way to phrase it??)and the final twist with them end up in a hospital,it's gold in my eyes,and get to see Benson and mordecai being jerk directly towards each other,bro like couple who has a argument and want to tear the other people apart,i like that.

"the parkie reward" episode is kind of nice,i love the part where Benson talk about how he appreciate the park gang and how rigby straight uo stole a trophy,just because everybody is talking about how Benson should get the reward and how gene has so many so what's the harm in losing one.

What he likes about Maria the most is her good heart, as cheesy as it may sound. The world is full of cruel people, people without morals, especially in their line of work and, for him, Maria is like a single ray of light in this darkness. She's relentless and always ready to fight for the cause she believes in. She's not afraid to stand up to authority, she genuinely cares about people, both her friends and family but also complete strangers. Iivo really admires her spirit. Aarne's never had a crush or been in love with anyone. He doesn't really think about those things and he doesn't feel the need to be in a relationship. Jess….I feel like the tides are actually turning regarding harry. Reddit used to be so bitchy about him but recently it seems like people are starting to like him again. There were so many people there who were supporting him after that Adam Lambert saying he is not queerbaiting. Most people were kind of supportive when harry won brits,kissed lewis, talked about women not being nominated. Recently there were comments about how underrated hs1 and SOTT actually is(people were also hoping he'd do a full rock album again). The hate and dragging seems to have reduced a lot. I really think most of it was overexposure. Since he is not in their face 24×7 anymore they find it easier to appreciate him.

this is very encouraging to read as someone who started avoiding commentary there like the plague. 😭 i'm SO happy adam said that and lent some much needed perspective to the conversation (real people! can't! queerbait! and everything adam said was true!). harry was clearly very aware of some of that unfounded discussion that was going on when he received his brits, and he addressed it in what i think was the best way he could, and it was thoughtful and gracious. if they're saying hs1/SOTT are underrated, that is true! i do think overexposure (and the, frankly weird, level of hatred he got w/ O) was the cause of a lot of the nastiness, it's a strange part of our culture that when someone is successful and covered a lot, there's this boomerang of backlash, but he's certainly far from the only person it's happened to, and that usually does course correct with time. genuinely i think, apart from people who are just going to hate him to hate him (because those types always exist), that furor will die down and the fondness and appreciation will come back to the fore again. as it should! and through those ups and downs, those of us who see the person and artist he is stick around supporting him and each other, and that always makes a difference. <3

FROM THE SMALL’S ARCHIVE: MIGUEL ZENON/DOS ALAOS with Camila Cortina Bello, Noam Tanner, and Varun Das, SMALL’S JAZZ CLUB, 2 DECEMBER 2023, 7:30 set

Taking advantage of my discovery that these shows are immediately available on YouTube, I didn’t have to wait for this one to be archived on Small’s Live. While it was relatively easy to be “at” Mezzrow’s last weekend for Billy Drummond with hero Fred Hersch and John Hebert, this run around the corner at Small’s was equally a must see as Miguel Zenon is simply a huge figure in the music.

He has more than sufficient jazz, in a narrow sense that really doesn’t fit the music, chops to be central to the SF Jazz Collective. I saw him/them early in my Jazz St Louis days for a Miles Davis program and streamed him getting very very friendly flak from none other than Lee Konitz for a duo date with Dan Tepfer. He is spending some of that social/artistic capital—and not paying down the principle one iota—with projects that dig deep into the repertoire of Latin American and Caribbean tunes and reconfiguring our conception of that music. The focus is on the melodies and the rhythms, though insistent, are not to the fore.

Building on duo projects with longtime pianist Luis Perdomo (they recorded an album of boleros on a stream from the Village Vanguard that I watched as I did for a stream from Mezzrow’s the night before they went into the studio to record the follow up), he now has this band doing the same thing. Camila Cortina Bello is the pianist and she brings tunes from her native Cuba, especially those of Pablo Milanes. Those complement those of Rafael Hernandez from Zenon’s Puerto Rico.

Puerto Rican and Cuban music differ and there are wonderfully vast variety in those traditions. Throw in the rest of the Caribbean and Latin America (Perdomo is from Venezuela) and throw out the notion that Latin music is one thing. What I appreciate in Zenon is that he goes deeply into these traditions and doesn’t smother them with too much thunderous drums. Varun Das with the whole band can do that and they added that seasoning, but they also used it subtly.

In that sense, this was thoroughly a jazz show, even if jazz is hardly one thing, with virtuoso playing prodded by improvisation and accompaniment. Zenon is a master. Cortina Bello has lots of chops and an elegance that makes these tunes sing. Noam Tanner took his opportunities to complicate the rhythms and the harmonies. Das did both the full Latin flourish but, even better, the same thing with great subtlety.

Miguel Zenon is a force and we benefit from him unearthing this massive cultural legacy.

Broadcast Journalist, Nyansa Boakwa of Happy FM fame has emerged winner of the Radio Religious Show Personality in this year’s Sintex Ghana Media Personality Awards, 2023.

At a colourful ceremony held at the Mikaddo Conference Centre, Accra on Saturday 15th July, 2023, Rev. Nyansa Boakwa was crowned as the winner for the Radio Religious Show Personality category. This is a testament of the hard work, commitment and dexterity Nyansa Boakwa has exhibited on the show over the years.

When his name was mentioned as the winner for the category, an elated Nyansa Boakwa majestically sauntered to the podium, grabbed the award to a thunderous applause from the audience. Speaking after receiving the award, the Happy FM Radio Personality thanked the organizers for the award for recognising his efforts. “We work to serve mother Ghana and humanity.

It’s my singular honour to do my best to help society appreciate the missing dimensions of our beautiful and rich socio-religious culture which has been relegated to the background for far too long. We intend to bring it to the fore and make it force to reckon with”.

This is the third edition of the awards organized by Mojo Media and it’s know as the Sintex Ghana Media Personality Awards. It was set up to honour, celebrate, and reward individuals whose exceptional vision has contributed in shaping the future Ghana’s media industry. SGMPA was created solely to unite all Ghanaian radio, blogging, and television personalities to form a large media platform for brand and product promotion.

Notwithstanding the recognition it gives to deserving media personalities to motivate them to strive for excellence, it also seeks to provide individuals, businesses, and corporate institutions with a marketing opportunity to sell their brands.
