NOTE: i would like to say that I WISH i could send some ✨aesthetic✨photos here, but nooooo. The cover of The Picture of Dorian Gray is ugly in my native language. So I have to deal with the pictures from people of the internet, which is a shame to me. Truly. Well, let's get to the actual thoughts of the book.

NOTE: I bought the first copy I found at the bookstore before learning that the prettier version will be available in the market. IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE A HARDBACK ISTG-

Whew, that's a lot The Picture of Dorian Gray was my first book started and finished in 2023 (excluding Vicious by V.E Schwab - i started it in 2022) also, a first one from classical literature I took seriously. I'm looking at The Little Prince and Little Women here

and my oh my.

SONGS THAT FIT:

This masterpiece I had problems to understand at first was suprisingly easy to read comparing to the writing of Dostoyevsky. Not that I'm complaining (yes, I am indeed complaining). Maybe a masterpiece as a term is a little too much, but it was a goddamn good book.

The feeling when reading this was comparative to the sitting on the garden bench in the evening, waiting for the sun to dissapear. The true horror of this book is how the night of words is rushing to cast it's spell on a human soul. Such beautiful words used to describe a brutal reality of not being able to keep your beauty in your life

no matter if this is soul or body.

heavy topic under the poematic way in words - it's really what gets me. If i had enough money i totally would buy more books like this one. Important information GENRES: classics, horror, fiction, fantasy

Don't judge a book by it's cover. Don't let yourself get lost in someone's voice And most importantly

Don't sell your soul to a painting (iykyk)

So this, this snuck up on me a lot faster than I had anticipated. 500 of you? Following me? Crazy. It seems I have blinked and it happened so I'm going to be doing something a little different for the celebration this time - because I swear I just posted the last of my 300 follower appreciation.

Inspired by @senditcolton 's Hozier prompt list (she did such an amazing job with it and her blurbs so go check them out), I have made a prompt list of my favorite songs from a variety of artists. There are 10 songs, which means only 10 blurbs (which will probably be more along the lines of tiny fics compared to the blurbs I did for the 300-follower celebration). Headlining are my favorite lyrics, here is the Spotify playlist with all of the songs for you to enjoy.
