Ok ok ok, but like, what if Bells Hells end up going to the hell plane and come across demon!Zerxus? What if they are able to help him and then he gets to be reunited after all this time with his family?? And then that’s Louis getting to come back to guest star??

My sincere headcanon is that Basil likes to collect various things/arefacts that have some "bad history". Even better if they're cursed
Tumblr media
So the ship from the inside resembles the Warrens' house with their collection
(Only everything is more elegantly arranged✨️)
Tumblr media
° 📚 °
And I definitely love the canon detail with his hobby of interior designing. Another my headcanon is that Basil does the interior on his ship by his own 😎

Mary Mary quite cuntrary.
Confirmation that Gertrude stopped recording statments to tape, other than the occasional live statement. Must have been one of many ways she kept herself as free from Beholding's grip as possible.
Tumblr media
Mary's relationship with the Institute is interesting. It seems like it's been on the periphery of her entire life, but never something she was directly involved in. Maybe that's supposed to parallel her relationship with the Eye? It's something she interacts with regularly, but doesn't directly serve.
Also very amused by her claim that 'big things are coming'. She's about to skin herself alive so she can become a ghost that haunts a book. Revolutionary.
Tumblr media
Confirmation that Leitner had nothing to do with the creation of the books! They pre-date him and people who know what they are doing were aware of them; he just collected them all. Feels like this should be news to Jon, but he doesn't comment on it.
Tumblr media
Get rekt Leitner. Crusty old man.
Tumblr media
Gertrude (lying about the man she is keeping hidden in her basement of many tunnels): ~I~ ~can't~ ~say~ ~we~ ~ever~ ~crossed~ ~paths~
Cool that she can also outright lie in statments. So far I think we only know for sure that Elias and the NotThem have been able to do this.
Love Mary and Gertrude subtly dragging each other.
Mary: All you do is sit here and take statements.
Gertrude: Only when idiots like you show up.
Tumblr media
Desspite her open disdain for the Institute, Mary views them as being on the same side. I guess I interpret this as Mary considering herself allied to the Eye? But of course Elias would look down on that. He probably discounts everyone who even interacts with the Eye without being entirely under his thumb.
Tumblr media
Here Mary says her father got himself killed, later she says he killed himself. I wonder what happened to him; I'm betting the full story is complicated.
I've always assumed the Institute paid their workers a decent wage. Mostly because Martin is able to afford to support his mother and also rent an apartment without a roommate. In fact, everyone in the Archives seems to be living alone, which I figure would be expensive in London?
Tumblr media
Interesting that Mary was brought up with an education about the Entites and managed to spend her entire life without committing to any of them as a clear patron. She obviously favours the Eye, but she never truly dedicated herself to serving it (she has more in common with Gertrude than she thinks). Seems like she chose this path in spite of her mother's teachings, but Gerry probably followed in her footsteps.
Tumblr media
Haha, get fucked. The spooky stuff in Aretefact Storage must be true crap if Mary thinks it's mediocre compared to her terrible skin and bone books. Also, when did she get into Artefact Storage? Shouldn't that be a restricted area? Did Eric let her in?
Tumblr media
Cannot stress enough that the super cool and special dark arefact she eventually found was a disgusting skin book full of ghosts. Mary is insane, and she has terrible taste.

I do find it funny though that I was at The British Museum yesterday and it's like
We have all these big pieces that are very important to culture, the most important arefacts and I'm like
Actually no the most important thing I saw at the museum was that tiny little hedgehog bottle that's the most important thing humanity ever made

May I propose Web!Sasha ???
Bear with me, it's 2am, BUT I have thoughts??? (And I apologize if this is incoherent)
First off, Sasha is shown as being a fairly chill overall, she's not neurotic like Jon, or anxious like Martin, or even extraordinarily social like Tim. But she is INTELLIGENT. Massively intelligent from what we can gather from the podcast. Ex. Working with highly dangerous artefacts without injuries (that we know about), being able to hack into almost anything, working in the Research department in general.
And secondly, DETAILED. Incrediblely, indisputably detailed. Ex. Spotting the single frame of the eye in the case of Gerry's disappearance, checking the path through the 3 counties and finding that it wasn't at all possible to go that way, multiple accounts of reading through police reports.
Both traits of what we have seen of The Web, and things associated with it.
And I know that the popular idea is Spiral!Sasha which I very much enjoy!
But how important could it have been that Sasha was secretly an agent of The Web (avatar or simply aligned with it) ?
Well it could be the reason she had been meeting with The Distortion. Because The Distortion knew that she was going to have a major impact in any way that the events played out and that it wanted to have a hand in it. And preying on her inate curiosity and affinity for secrets (that we have seen in the past with her hacking into the institute's server to figure out that Martin lied on his CV) it sought to influence her in its way with those secret meetings.
She ALSO was close to Jon, being one of the people he at least seemed to tolerate in the early seasons if not be fond of, and Jon we know has been followed by the Web all of his life, from the leitner, to Annabelle, to him ending up where he was overall, and that of course plays into the bigger picture of everything when you involve The Archivist.
I propose not only could Sasha have been Web!Sasha, but that she was meant to influence Jon and The Archives to the Web agenda and that was then killed off either directly or indirectly by The Spiral (who we know has been in and around the archives, including around dangerous arfecacts before) in order to stop the interference of The Web and further its own agenda in the apocalypse!
First reason! The Spiral and The Stranger, for lack of a better term, (its 2am) have similar vibes. The Distortion being majorly associated with Fake Friends, and The Stranger replacing friends. What's more fake than a friend you thought you loved being someone completely different than who you thought they were? Especially when she was likely the most even keeled of the three assistants and could have majority swayed the events that then occurred with her friendship with Jon. (Thats another post lol)
Second reason! She was killed by an artefact, not just one that combines the powers of the Web and The Stranger, but also the fact that she worked with dangerous arefacts for MONTHS in her career and should have known how to avoid them and at least been able to get out once she realized that it was an extremely dangerous one and instead was almost lead to it (as if she had taken the wrong door somewhere) and was then devoured by it.
Third reason, all of this kicks off bc Jon was trying to kill a SPIDER
(Please forgive me if this makes NO sense but I fell down a bit of a rabbit hole !!!)
And one last thought ?? Maybe the Spiral only killed her after she refused to cooperate with its trickery and that it showing her the guy with the worms (my timeline is a bit shaky here) was almost like a twisted version of a warning ?

КРАКОВ ЭТО НЕ ТОЛЬКО ВАВЕЛЬ И ДРАКОН / KRAKOW IS NOT ONLY THE WAWEL CASTLE AND DRAGON Прогуливаясь по Рыночной площади Кракова, многие даже подозревают, что под землей, на глубине нескольких метров скрыта настоящая сокровищница знаний о прошлом. Under the Central square of Cracow, at a depth of several meters, there is one of the most modern and interesting archaeological museums in Europe. During archaeological excavations in 2005 the foundations and walls of ancient buildings were uncovered here. In order not to fill it back, it was decided to organize the museum.
