Random question, how come Goldie's form is that of a small child if he died in the womb? And if his spirit/soul aged, how come he's not the same age as John? Was there something that happened that stopped his aging, or is that just how John sees him?

Other than me following how Goldie/Golden Boy looks like in his first appearance in Hellblazer (though I aged him down a bit), I imagine that John perceives Goldie as someone growing with him but as John quickly loses his childhood innocence, Goldie stops growing.

In his teen years John tries stubbornly to be independent, out of survivor's guilt that he's growing up while his brother can't.

They stick together. I like to think of Goldie as the one spirit out of Constantine's ghost crew who doesn't hate or blame him for their death. John still feels awful about it because of course.

I do enjoy reading people's interpretations of Goldie's age being a reflection of how John remembers and grieves him. That's sweet.

I just wanted to say I really appreciate your last post, particularly the tags. My baby brother was born stillborn last week and seeing 'you'll never truly forget them' really resonated with me. I know it's not the same as twins but, yeah. Sorry this is sad, you can ignore this ask if you want.

My goodness I'm so sorry for your loss that's devastating :'( I'm glad my post was able to provide some comfort.

One of my favorite surviving twin stories is someone (who didn't know they had a lost twin) writing a list of their favorite names. Unknowingly, they wrote the first and middle name of their lost twin- and this came as a shock to their parents. When the parents asked where they got the name from, the surviving twin replied "I always liked how it sounded."

All this to say I'm sure your baby brother knew they were loved, even before they knew what that meant. Take care.

I love ur Lois so much!!! Lois has always reminded me of my mom and so seeing your version of Lois, one that faces similar uphill battle when it comes to work and how you can start sanding yourself down to try and get further, is amazing and touching. Can't wait to see more of this Lois, especially as she works up the ranks!

Thank you! I think that part of Lois (becoming less of yourself in order to move ahead in an industry, especially as a woman [of color]) is so underappreciated and should be explored way more.

I wonder what your design of Conner Kent would be like? What his relationship is with Jon, Clark, and Lois in your JL universe?

Meet (don't call me) Superboy! He's a clone of Superman developed by CADMUS in secret collaboration with LexCorp, for the purposes of "just in case anything happens to Superman". He's made from the DNA of Superman and Lex Luthor. What CADMUS doesn't realize is that Lex planted a trigger in Project Superboy so that he would prematurely break out of CADMUS' facility in what looks like a freak escape accident.

When Project Superboy wakes up, it's with false memories Lex planted into his mind. Superboy doesn't know much- he has a photo of what looks like him and his younger sister, and a mysterious untraceable walkie talkie relaying instructions he should follow if he wants to see his family safe again. Also he has superpowers?!

From what he remembers, he thinks his name is "Paul Westfield". He goes around America doing undercover odd jobs (unknowingly) for Lex Luthor. Sometimes it means breaking into facilities to retrieve something Lex needs and dropping it off at an undisclosed location. Despite instructions to stay hidden, Paul can't suppress his desire to help those in need when he comes by them. As he travels from town to town, Paul tries to unravel who he is and what's going on.

He'll eventually choose the name "Conner" for himself, but that's after the big mystery of his origin story! I'm in the process of fleshing out his character so we'll learn more about his relationships with Superman's cast as we go.

I have drawn Damian within the JL remix before, but I think that's a fun prompt as a superhero design! Here's my re-visit of Damian's Robin suit, infused with his heritage from Talia's side (along with some casual wear):

Jon and Damian's friendship is still the Supersons dynamic, but they also find comfort with each other as fellow diaspora kids.

There's an admiration and respect they have for each other, culturally, that makes their dynamic different from their respective dads' teamwork.

While Lois is often known for using her charisma to get answers out of people she interviews, I think Lois Liando has a lot of empathy for other marginalized people. She sees the way Conner is forced to grow up too soon, how guarded he is when he's offered help, the way he's unfairly judged as a threat, and she sees herself in him.
