ADSOM Pokemon AU!:

- The plot’s largely the same, but everyone has Pokemon! Magicians can join in Pokemon battles and aid their Pokemon and vice versa, but a magician attacking a Pokemon for no reason is absolutely off limits; people battle for the same reasons they do in the games, money, prestige, or practice. Pokemon also serve as companions and defenders of their respective trainers.

- Grey London is the only place that has Pokeballs. In the other Londons you just carry your Pokemon around.

The Teams:

Kell- At the beginning of ADSOM, Kell has a Klefki (his first Pokemon), an Oricorio, a blue Flabebe (Which evolves Post-ADSOM) and an Eevee (It evolves into Vaporeon in his final fight with Holland). After ADSOM he gets a Furfrou and a Mimikyu. Most of Kell’s Pokemon are small and largely untrained because Kell hates battling; he’d much rather just let his Pokemon hide in his coat and do the dueling or fighting himself. After fighting Holland, Kell begins to devote more time to training his Pokemon so they can get stronger. Like him, his Pokemon are high-strung, especially Mimikyu, so Kell often has Calla make Mimikyu little coats like his so it feels safe. Kell also always carries nectars for Oricorio in his coat.

Lila- Lila starts the series with a Purrloin (her first Pokemon, it never evolves), a Houndoom, a Noibat (it evolves in AGOS when she fights the kidnapper guys), and a Fraxure (it evolves when she battles Astrid). Post ADSOM she gains a Thieval and a Night-form Lycanroc. Like their Trainer, Lila’s Pokemon are fast, strong, and they don’t care about collateral damage. Her team starts out significantly stronger than Kell’s because she relied on her Pokemon to help her survive, and she never stops training them so they can get stronger. Once she gets the opportunity in Red London, Lila spoils her Pokemon rotten, and it becomes one of her favorite pastimes.

Holland- Holland only has three Pokemon at the start, courtesy of the Danes; a Galarian Corsola (his main Pokemon), an Absol, and a Grimmsnarl. After he becomes king, he finds a Golurk and receives Stakataka from Osaron. When he gets stuck in Red London, he also finds a Ralts. Holland makes up for his small team with his own magic, and though wild Pokemon are seen as nuisances in White London, Holland loves all Pokemon dearly and wants to make the world better for them. He has the gift that allows him to speak to Pokemon, something Kell is very jealous of. His Pokemon are as roughed up and traumatized as he is, but they love their Trainer and are wickedly strong, much stronger than Kell’s and Lila’s.

Rhy- Rhy starts the series with all of his Pokemon; he has a Talonflame, a Larvesta (it evolves in ACOL), a Yamper, a mega-evolving Ampharos, a Kommo-O, and an Arcanine. His team is strong and well-trained early on because Rhy enjoys battling much more than Kell does, seeing it as a way to make up for his weak magic. Like Holland, Rhy also has the power to talk to Pokemon, which he uses to great effect in battle when commanding his team.

Alucard- Like Rhy, Alucard starts out with all of his Pokemon, and none of them need to evolve. He has a Glameow (Esa), a male Unfeazant (His first Pokemon), a Gyrados, a Golisopod, a Floatzal, and a Crawdaunt. Alucard enjoys battling but mostly has his Pokemon help him sail; the water-types help around the ship, Unfeazant scouts for land, and Esa keeps him company. He and Lila train together often, and he helps her team learn several important moves that she uses later on.

Athos- He has a Zangoose, a Seviper, an Obstagoon, an Arbok, a Beartic, and a female Meowstic. All of Athos Pokemon are nasty, brutal, and sadistic, especially Meowstic. Athos spoils them and gives them free reign to do what they want, so they attack and kill people, Pokemon, and anything they can get their claws on; Holland is often the unfortunate recipient of this behavior as his blood makes them much stronger. Athos has very little strategy beyond “kill it,” but that doesn’t mean he’s easy to take down, and if you lose the battle, you’re not just losing money- you’re losing your life.

Astrid- Astrid has a Weavile, a Venomoth, a Mandibuzz, a Yanmega, a Mawile, and a male Meowstic. Astrid’s Pokemon are a lot calmer than Athos’, but they are much worse to fight, as she focuses less on damage and more on status effects and control. She uses Meowstic to possess other people and Pokemon (so does Athos), and once they’re of no use to her she leaves them for her Pokemon. She can often be found on her throne with Meowstic curled in her lap, a sure sign she’s in somebody else’s body and not her own.

Maxim- Maxim has a male Pyroar, a Durant, a Tyrantrum, a mega-evolving Aggron, a Falinks, and a mega-evolving Garchomp. All of the Steel-types are relics from his days as the Steel Prince; his team is deeply loyal and well-mannered, though they are a bit more playful than their Trainer. They sometimes help Rhy to prank Maxim, knowing full well he loves them too much to discipline them.

Emira- Emira has a female Pyroar, a Milotic, a Leavanny, a Swanna, an Aurorus, and a Lapras. Emira’s Pokemon are her rocks, helping her with her nerves as she runs the palace. They are dutiful and protective; after the Shadows incident they joined Emira in sleeping outside of Rhy’s rooms, ready to defend their prince from any threat. Unlike Emira, however, they are more liberal with their affection and treat Rhy and Kell equally; they don’t understand all of the events that lead to Emira’s frostiness, only that it’s not good for her or Kell.

Teiren- Teiren’s main Pokemon is a Drampa, although he takes care of Hastra’s Dragonite and Herdier when he dies.

Okja- Ojka has a Bisharp, a Corviknight, a Froslass, a Gallade, and a Kartana she recieves from Holland.

Ned- Ned has a Spewpa, a Dreepy, a Wurmple, a Bunnelby, and a Tranquill. They help him around the shop.

Osaron- Osaron is a bit of a funny case, because he technically is a Pokemon, or actually several; Black London is actually the Ultra Realm, and Osaron is Necrozma (with a slightly more human appearance). He can control other legendaries like Necrozma does in the games, specifically Darkrai and a destructive legendary from each London; Yveltal for Red, Girantina for Grey, Kyurem for White. In his final form though, Osaron becomes Eternatus, and he’s nearly impossible to defeat, as he just gigantimaxs his own team of legendaries. It’s kind of hard to explain, but the main thing is he’s tough, ancient, and has no concept of right or wrong, just like in the books.

- After Holland “dies” in ADSOM, Kell ends up taking his Pokemon with him back to Red London (Pokemon have no trouble traveling), as he’s unwilling to leave them to get mauled but also didn’t want them to go to Black London with their dead trainer. None of them like him (for obvious reasons), and it’s a steep learning curve for Kell when he has to deal with Grimmsnarl, who keeps trying to kill him, Absol, who keeps trying to run away, and Corsola, who alternates between pelting him with rocks and lying in bed too depressed to do anything. The only thing that seems to help is taking them to the riverside (Holland did this often and his Pokemon love it), but even that goes south when Holland’s Galarian Corsola meets the much healthier, normal Corsola that live in Red London, who have no idea what’s wrong with it and frantically run away. Even Rhy talking to the Pokemon doesn’t work; they just continue to make Kell’s life miserable, which adds to the stress Kell gets in AGOS.

- Kell brings Holland’s Pokemon with him when he follows Ojka; seeing them alive and well-cared is the only thing that keeps Holland from killing Kell horribly outright.

- After Holland’s real death, Kell adopts them again. Corsola is the exception, as it goes with Holland to die in White London. They don’t come with him on his adventures with Lila; Teiren looks after them while Kell is gone.

- The Inheritor is a Master Ball. I don’t make the rules, it just is.

- The Essen Tach works just like it does in canon, but you can bring one Pokemon with you and you are free to mega-evolve it if you are able. Kell brings Vaporeon, Lila brings Houndoom, and Alucard brings Gyrados. Kisemyr brings an Incineroar, Rul a mega-evolving Manecetric, and Jinnar a mega Charizard Y.

- The Danes’ Pokemon die with them or run away into White London, never to be seen again. Maxim’s Aggron dies with him and Aurorus with Emira. The rest of their Pokemon are taken care of by the Sanctuary.

- Kyurem, under Osaron’s influence, is responsible for White London’s perpetual winter.

- In return for keeping the Master Ball with Osaron, Ned makes Kell have a Pokemon battle with him. He doesn’t win, but he does enjoy it.

This isn’t exactly something I abandoned... I just haven’t worked on it in over a year... 😂 But I plan to, I really like the story. So, have a snippet from the Hiccstrid Ballet AU I’ve planned. ^^

“I’m looking for... Atali Dragonite?”

“I am Atali,” the woman in the wheelchair behind the desk said and gave her a friendly if tired smile. Astrid had recognised her in an instant, but she’d wanted to make a point in ignoring rude-guy with her question. “Welcome, Miss Hofferson. And yes, I have free places for new students at my ballet school. Come, sit, and we can talk.”

Astrid waited until rude-guy and another strict-looking woman had left the office, then sat down. It didn't take long to pin down the essential information. Astrid wanted to dance. She knew that she wouldn't become any school’s prima ballerina just like that. But she at least wanted to know whether she might have a chance. And Atali hinted that might be a possibility.

Excited over getting this news directly at the first school she introduced herself, Astrid gladly followed the request to change and warm up for a presentation of her skills. This was what she'd hoped for after all. And at first, it went perfect, almost better even than she'd hoped.

“That was very good,” the strict-looking woman, who’ introduced herself as Mala, said after Astrid’s first performance. “You had good teachers and your body control is remarkable. There are a few things you need to work on, some motions are too stiff, but if you’re willing to practice, I can help you there.”

Astrid accepted the woman’s praise with a nod and a proud smile. She immediately liked her. She seemed tough, but not unreasonable; someone Astrid could work with.

“I agree,” Atali nodded. “But before I can invite you to join us, I’d like to see another performance. Henry? Would you be so kind?”

Henry, the rude guy from before, sighed heavily. “Atali, I don’t think I–” He broke off when both women turned on him. Astrid couldn’t see their faces from where she still stood on the stage and with them being somewhat hidden by shadows, but only a couple of moments later, Henry sighed again.

“All right,” he grumbled. “Just give me a minute to change.” He left, and Astrid’s eyes followed him with a hint of confusion.

“I want to see how you’re doing at a pas de deux with him,” Miss Atali explained, probably after having seen her puzzled look. “He is our only male dancer, and you need to be able to work with him if you were to join our school.”

Lets dissect this shall we?

Grimmel gets the Light Fury. We already knew this, but still!

Look at the trap she’s in! It looks so inhumane and tight! She looks like a dead fish! SAVE HER!!!!!!

Oh, and THEY HAVE TOOTHLESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All from the second but applied to Toothy

It makes total sense that he’d go after his gal but getting captured trying to save her?!?!? DEAN, WHY!!!???!!!???

Grimmel doing a stupid Singing In The Rain impression over Toothy. GIVE HIM BACK!!!

Then...then...HICCUP’S THERE!!! HE SEE’S!!! NNNNOOOO!!! GO SAVE HIM!!!

The he runs to go save him! Cause this is a clip we can’t really tell what his emotions are cause it goes by so fast but you KNOW he is freaking out and PISSED

THE DRAGONS ARE GOING AFTER THEIR ALPHA!!! GRIMMEL’S GONNA GET THEM ALL!!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!

I see Cloudjumper! And Skullcrusher!

ASTRID’S THERE TOO!!! I can’t tell who the second is. Ruff?

SO MANY FEELS!!! WHY IS IT GOING AGAIN?!?!? Oh, its a gif

End bullet-points. Begin the theorizing:

My first thought was that this scene takes place right after Berk is destroyed. (If that even happens) Hiccup is freaking out and running around the burning village making sure all the homes are empty. Toothy had gone after Nubless to make sure Grimmel didn’t get her, we get a back and fourth between Hiccup and the gang saving people in the fire while Toothy desperately tries to save Nubless. Then once everyone is out we get a shot of burning Berk and Hiccup is overwhelmed. Then he hears a familiar roar and turns to see that^, runs after Toothy and Geronimo’s off the cliff as only Hiccup can. Stuff, stuff stuff then they have to get to Grimmel’s armada and get the dragon’s. That’s where the big yellow action scene happens.

But then I noticed the clouds. (Go look up)

This happens on Big Black Isle. (Look at the link if you wanna know what it is)

Which means that they are now STRANDED!!!

Somehow, Grimmel gets them here, (did they flee here after whatever happened to Berk happened?) and gets Nubless hence he gets Toothy hence he gets all of the dragons. Look at the light, its probably an hour till sunset. Hiccup gets everyone with flight suits, who are all part of the principal cast, how convenient, to go with him on a daring mission to get back the dragons. They Geronimo off at night for the cover of dark and sneak on the boats and get the dragons then race back to Big Black Isle to get everyone else stranded there off.

Or they go to Big Black Isle after attacking Grimmel’s armada, at dawn, cause he’s threatening their dragons. (Maybe he’s already attacked Berk?) The meet up on Big Black Isle and he ambushes them in the morning. Then I don’t know.

But I’m not done! See this?

Notice the lighting, the grass, the Hiccup-desperately-trying-to-not-cry.

This is what happens next!

And it makes so much more sense now! In two ways:

1) “You must feel horrible. You’ve lost everything. Your father, your tribe, your best friend...I bet he’s really frightened now, What’re you gonna do about it?” These lines make so much more sense being said here cause here he HAS lost his father, his tribe/island (?) and his best friend! And he’s really frightened so what’s he gonna do about it? (Side Note: That’s what makes this reference SO amazing cause its a reference for them as well. They are feeling THE EXACT SAME emotions that we are when she says this!)

2) It had confused me as to why in a scene when Astrid is making a reference to something important to then both that Hiccup would look so unresponsive and serious. Now I know why, Its cause he’s WATCHING HIS DRAGON BEING DRAGGED AWAY IN A MUZZLE AND CHAINS!!! MY POOR BABY!!!

So that’s the thoughts I’ve got on this bit. (And the other bit) I’m really positive about this all happening on Big Black Isle and the Isle factoring into the battle on Grimmel’s armada in some crucial way.

I would like to say a word about the new season of Rtte.

Usually, I don't tell what I feel on Tumblr but this is getting on my nerves since the release. I know I will not have many friends after but I don't care, I'm not affect by insults on the web.

Anyway, here something I wanted to talk about first:

After the release of the first three season, all we were able to say was "more hiccstrid", "more more more". This season we got a lot of Hiccstrid, but like a looooooot more of Hiccstrid. And a few months ago, the producers said that they signed for two more seasons of Rtte.

Yesterday, I went on tumblr and I saw posts about complain. The people who are complaining, are complaining about they didn't like the Hiccstrid, the kisses, the story, the characters and else. They said that the producers could do better for Hiccup and Astrid and I don't know remember what else but ANYWAY, they don't like how the show is going.

Guys, if you don't like it then stop watching it. And seriously, they gave us all we wanted to have. I mean come on, for two months, we were getting the producers on their nerves because some fans wouldn't stop asking them why they are not posting the date of the release and now we told them that they made a bad job?! Hey, they are doing everything they can for US. The show is a wonderful sigh for our eyes, animation like story. Our questions are getting answered, we getting what we hope for and each seasons is better than the previous.

These guys deserves some respect, they are the creators of the story of race to the Edge so as a fan, we must agree with what they decide to put in the show, like it or not. You can not like it, it's your choice, everybody have a choice. But please, don't say they could do better because they already trying to.

That was just something I needed to clear but now my thoughts on the new season:

As I said, we got a lot of Hiccstrid but that's only in the three last episode. The others ones were incredible. Twintuition makes me laugh until my ribs hurts, Midnight Scrum was so intense with all these guys hunting Hiccup, Not Lout was so cool because we saw Snotlout having nightmares about getting bullied and I personally recognize myself in him.

Okay so I will finish on Hiccstrid. We got three kiss with a really passionate one for the first that make their relationship official. We saw the worry, the compassion, the dragon rider, the support in Astrid that we saw in httyd2 so that's a proof that the show is following the movies. She is always the one getting hurt, that's true but I think that's normal and understandable cause she's the one with Hiccup that have a true sense of leadership and she is a really stubborn girl and independent woman so she wants to do stuff for proving herself and to the others she is worth it like in Blindsided and in Astrid's team. And that's why she is my favorite character. For the next seasons, we are going to see them grew as a couple and that's something I and the fans hoped so much to see cause we are getting the close Hiccstrid we have in the sequel movie.

The dragons: Toothless was so terribly cute and OH MY THOR, he acts EXACTLY the same as my cat (I should put a video for comparing those two). I love the way he putted his tail around Hiccup and Astrid when she laying on the floor in Blindsided, a true little family. I can only hope to see more moments with only him and Hiccup, but I'm not worry, we have to see how Hiccup came up with the "automatic" tail. Stormfly was also super cute and the way she protected Astrid is why I love the most, a true complicity, gods so amazing. The Triple Strike, one of my favorite dragon ever, we could saw his moves and so honking cool!!

And for ending this post, Heather and Dagur: I love Heather, she is so cool and the best friend I dream to have. I love relationship between siblings so when she finally bonded with Dagur, it made my heart race and I was so happy. The way they fighting with the riders is so awesome, I love that!!

So that's it. Sorry if it's a little messed up for an opinion post but I really wanted to explain what I felt about all I see on Tumblr and the show, and mainly make my self clear. Race to the Edge or the movies, it's Httyd in general (and I will not talk about how they changed and saved my life for the good cause it's personal). I will never thank Dreamworks enough for creating this story with Cressida.

It will always gonna take an important place in my heart (that's why I'm getting tattooed the Night Fury logo soon) and whatever they will do for Dragons, I will always respect it, be a supportive fan, and be there for it.

I'm a Dragonite after all ✌🏼😉.

So ummmm...I remembered that Pokemon AU post and was already entrenched in designing some Pokejinkas anyway (aaaand making some minor plans with lots of wiggle room for whenever I do my team in SwSh) and I couldn’t stop myself. I had to draft a cameojinka of Habit, going with making him a Lilligant for obvious reasons. And also some less obvious reasons for those who don’t take a look at this Pokemon’s dex entries:

Several of them emphasize (okay the one that got repeated from Black, but STILL) that it is very difficult to get a Lilligant’s flower to bloom properly, which parallels the tooth lily quite nicely. Also a bonus little babby Habby as a Petilil.

And now for a couple potential gripes that I can see likely coming:

How come Habit ain’t got the Muppet nose? This is more of a tendency of my Pokejinkas to be completely human unless distinctly specified (ie. my Magnezone Polaris, my Beheeyem Kululu, my Dragonite Astrid, my Florges Navi, all my legendaries, probably some others that I can’t think of atm). If you look at my Vikavolt and Dusclops, you can see that they’re fully human takes on characters that are absolutely NOT human. So if I ever use Lilligant!Habit in my proper Pokejinka stuff, that’s the direction I’m going in. ;-)

But Petilil and Lilligant are female-only, why you using ‘em as basis for male characters? I never said my Pokejinka universe operated entirely on the same logic as Pokemon game mechanics, in fact afaik I only keep the type advantage and evolution stuff, maybe a little more. For example, my ‘jinkas that are of Pokemon in different breeding groups could have biological children if they wanted to so long as they have all the proper *ahem* equipment, so who’s to say that gender-exclusive Pokemon can’t be the other gender in the ‘jinka context? (except for genderless Pokemon, I will always make them nb regardless of what pronouns I give them) Besides, even if I do decide to keep the gender-exclusive thing, Dr. Habit himself said trans rights soooooooo... :3c

Hiccstrid – Ballet AU

This story keeps whirling around in my mind for months now. It’s completely outlined, two chapters written, and I really want to write it all. But time, real life, and everything keep getting in my way.

Anyway, here’s a small excerpt, just to see if there would be people interested in this story at all. 😅

“But there has to be something we can do,” Hiccup exclaimed, his hands flying up in an exasperated gesture. “Anything but endlessly enduring Heather’s excessive moods. I can go without my salary for a month or two and only live on my drawings. And I’m sure we could do some of the repairs ourselves, that would save money too. Or– ”

“Boy, even you need to eat and pay your rent,” Mala deadpanned. “Sorry, but I don’t see another option than to endure her behaviour and hope that our performance at this year’s summer festival will draw in more students.”

Behind her, Atali just nodded mutely at her girlfriend’s words, her lips pressed into a thin line. It pained Hiccup to see his aunt so helpless. There had to be something they could do to save her ballet school, just–

The sharp sound of someone clearing their throat behind him interrupted Hiccup’s thoughts, and without his help, his hands balled into angry fists. There was only one person in the entire school who would dare to demand attention like this.

“What do you want now?” he asked harshly, even before he turned. He was so fed up with Heather’s antics. But when he turned, he immediately realised his mistake.

The young woman that stood in the open door wasn’t Heather. In fact, she looked quite the opposite with her golden hair braided into a tidy and elegant plait down her back, even though the icy look she gave him out of her sapphire blue eyes easily could have matched Heather’s.

“Atali Dragonite?” she asked in a calm if cool voice as she pointedly looked away from him and toward the two women in the room behind him. “I’m Astrid Hofferson, and I think we had an appointment. I’ve heard you have open places for students?”
