If laena wedded viserys the dance will happen expect rhae*nyra won't get the velaryon support and if anyone thinks otherwise they don't understand coryls and rhaenys
I just got an insanely similar ask right before this one, and I will say the same thing. this is insanely true.
Corlys only backed Rhaenyra and her bastard children because he was desperate to get even a figment of his name near the throne. he only backed Luke and Jace's parenthood through Laenor as it was the only way to "get his blood" on the throne (even if the boys were not truly his, 'history only remembers names').
if Laena had been queen and had children to Viserys, he would have abandoned Rhaenyra the second Jace popped out with brown hair, he wouldn't have even waited for Luke or Joffery to be born.
Rhaenys backs her husband just as much as she wishes to further their shared bloodline, so it would be easy to say she would similarly back Laena's children. we saw her push for Baela and Rhaena to take the claim to Driftmark despite hating Daemon, imagine if Laena's children were born to the thrown through Viserys? she would similarly back Laena and drop Rhaenyra in a heartbeat.
I would even argue they would support Laena prior to Rhaenyra having children and would potentially avoid wedding Laenor to Rhaenyra to begin with (as it would serve them better to marry him to another house to create an ally instead of marrying him to Rhaenyra where it would have little benefit)
the war would be insanely quick and easy if Rhaenyra had attempted to petition her and her childrens claim, she would have no allies and the realm would more than likely drop their oaths.
those TB fans are so delusional sometimes, that their terrible takes only serve to damn their girl more than she already was.
My week's been pretty meh, but my first coping mechanism was to pull up the inn scenes from EO2U.... and it,, still worked wonders.
I know a lot of people hate/don't like the untolds. But both games instantly sooth me. They mean something different than making my own stuff. Like making my own eocs is awesome and my favorite part. But you know. It takes energy. Sometimes playing and creating stuff drains me. Like I need to consume art instead of always making it.
The untolds with their premade cast kinda takes a load off me. I get to learn more about these characters, they're still eo characters. But I can sit back and relax while I watch.
I think about drawing them time to time,, but... idk I'm worried about that making my brain associate them with draining activities (drawings, creating, making) rather than the relaxing bit (listening to their dialogues, absorbing, being inspired).
Despite how wildly Elendira was changed as a character in tristamp she's just. so fascinating to me both bc of her existence as a whole (a human/plant hybrid of sorts that Nai, despite his hatred for humans, for some reason has allowed to exist) and the idea of her being an honest, childish reflection of Nai himself.
There is absolutely no way that Elendira's disdain for humans isn't something she learned from him. And when you compare their expressions and behavior - they are just so painfully similar. From the way their emotions shift so quickly from one to another to how they show so clearly on their faces/bodies,
And how the only way to somewhat (poorly) mask themselves is to physically shift away and hide - which they both do in front of Vash specifically.
On that note, Elendira's reaction to physical pain is very interesting to me too in how it contrasts with Nai's. Whereas she throws a tantrum and cries out about how much it hurts, physical pain does very little for Nai (outwardly, that is) as shown in eps 3 and 12. Even as Vash tries to shoot down his blades or as Nai burns himself alive along the fire of Vash's angel arm, it is the emotional aspect (Vash's rejection) which actually hurts him. It can be heard in his voice or seen in his face and still, he tries to hide that too behind a smile or laugh that always seems awfully close to crying or sobbing.
Ig what I'm trying to point at is Elendira - as a metaphorical and literal reflection of him, since she's implied to be a clone, kinda - being able to voice and act out all the reactions to pain, physical and emotional, that Nai usually doesn't allow himself to show.
Extra interesting to me that she immediately labels Vash a traitor and cries harder when she mentions Nai and how Vash doesn't know.
I think a more literal tl of this bit is something along the lines of "it's your fault that lord Knives -", regardless... what is it that Vash doesn't know or that he's at fault for? Is she echoing Nai's pain, his loneliness? Why does she feel it so deeply?
And did Vash realize? What she is and where she comes from, or why she exists? Is that why he looked so sad at the sight of her? Did he see part of his brother in her too? Did Nai as a kid ever cry like that?
I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've wholly coloured an artwork digitally, on my own, and been pleased with the results. The 7 days it took me to figure out have been so worth it.
i just KNOW the tojo gossip went hard from 2008-2009
Truly was it frame one that EEEEEVERYONE KNEW mine had a thing for daigo cause everyone just treats that shit like common knowledge its actually ridiculous
interrupting your regular programming to bring you a special message: stop. whatever you're doing right now. stop and go watch everything everywhere all at once. i dont care if you "dont have multiple hours to spare" do it. i dont care if you've "already seen it" watch it again???? "i know we shouldn't be killing rhea and i personally am against it and my gut tells me this is wrong but i'll do it anyway because nobody else uses logic on this route anyway!"
The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that Izana chose Shion as his successor because he wanted someone a) corrupt enough to guarantee the continuation of the Black Dragons' ruin which Izana started and b) easy to manipulate so Izana would be able to pull the strings from the shadows even after officially retiring, which is why he was shown hanging around the BD HQ even when he was no longer in charge and bossing Shion around. The most glaring example is of course him ordering Shion to send his men to harrass Kazutora in order to cause a fight between Mikey and the BD, but it probably wasn't his first time intervening

We know that Shion is three things: extremely violent, not very smart, and scared of yet loyal to Izana. In short, the perfect pawn for that specific position
And that would mean that the 9th gen Black Dragons, which Shion is so proud of even years later, was nothing but Izana's sock puppet all along. Which is kind of sad
You have to love how Angel was one of the few people who didn't make fun of Buffy's name.
Like, Spike did, Fred did, one demon did (that I'm forgetting which one it was, exactly. But it was wondering if Buffy was short for anything and then she said, "No. Just Buffy."), Doyle called her "Muffy" by accident once, Giles is aghast that the new Slayer's name is Buffy in one of the classic comics, Faith in "Go Ask Malice: A Slayer's Diary" misunderstands and at first thinks Buffy's name is "Summers" (and digs it) and is a bit disappointed to find out that it's "Buffy" instead.
