My dog is very confused right now. There is a perfectly good bed with comfy pillows right next to where I am laying on the floor, and he doesn’t understand why I don’t follow him onto the bed. He keeps nudging my arm and then jumping up and waiting for me to follow. He doesn’t understand that sometimes floor time is better. He doesn’t know that after a really bad shift, the floor is more grounding than the bed. But he keeps trying.

I always feel bad when I move my little dog away from a big dog thats in our path especially if its one with a reputation like pit bulls or german shepards cuz i stg everytime the other owners like "oh dont worry my dogs super friendly" cuz like, its not you.

#she super finicky about whether shell like another dog or not #so its overall safer to just stay on her path and avoid other animals best i can #she never likes puppies or golden retrievers #but she does pretty well with german shepards? #and she loves poodles #but not doodles #other little dogs she tends to be more neutral with but ill avoid em just in case #she gets on great with other hound dogs tho #beagles bassets whatever #those are usually all friends to her #Australian sheperds on the other hand never mix well with her

#my dog is only part Shepard she’s a mix of other things #that make it so she actually sleeps I guess #cause the dog I was dogsitting for does not sleep it’s just a temporary rest state until something moves #and she can be completely alert and awake again #I only caught her sleeping for one two hour interval one night out of three #words of mine #well if I ever get my own dog it’ll be a rescue creature anyway but still #not an Australian Shepard no 💀 #I like sleeping for more than one to two hour intervals thanks

I've made a recent realization about my domestic dog theriotypes!! So I've identified as a gerberian shepsky for a very long time, probably since 2014 or so, and I've discovered (in 2019) my burmese mountain dog and (in 2022) chocolate labrador theriotype, however I now have a third domestic dog theriotype: a red merle border collie and australian shepard mix! This being said: the occasional shortening of my name, Merlin, to Merle would be AMAZING, so if you're sending asks or replying to anything, that name is my new obsession aside from the name Labrador lol

Guess who started watching Bluey. I’ve really enjoyed it. Its a great show. So I decided to do a Resident Evil/Bluey crossover. I just really like character design. My fiancé was napping and started to have a nightmare. Usually I would go sit next to him and rub his shoulder until he calmed down again.

Apparently Zeus has picked up on this and decided it was his turn to console his dad.

So he jumped up on the chair my fiancé was napping in and started to gently paw at his shoulder. He nuzzled his face against my fiancé’s as well before continuing to paw at his shoulder until he relaxed.

this is funny bc ive literally never not had pets. always had lots of pets. had cats and dogs since i was a kid (used to have corgis! now we have a lab/australian shepard mix) and we also have rabbits, chickens and ducks. used to have goats and bees too

Assignment 3a and 3b (redone)

Last week I posted some photos for assignment 3a and 3b that were alright However this weekend I got to visit home and took some pictures that should hopefully demonstrate High ISO and fast shutter speed better. Both of my dogs are a mix between Australian Shepards and miniature poodles. The red merle ( brown and white dog) is Terra and the Try- color Dog is Luna. Both terra and Luna refused to sit still so most attempts to get low shutter speed pictures turned out horrible.
