“what if,” you continue. “people think you’re just living with your sweet girlfriend, but really she’s your wife.”
he quirks an eyebrow at you. “does this mean you want to get married?”
it wasn’t like the two of you never approached this topic. often times you’d say that you liked where the two of you were. nothing had to change. plus the job of being a boring housewife didn’t really settle with you.
“I mean,” you say, positioning your arms around his shoulders. “I still don’t like the title of being a wife. but...I like the sound of being...katsuki’s wife.”
the whole time your lips are slowly breaking into a cheeky grin, curious as to what he has to say to this. the man’s expression seems to soften. he doesn’t know what to say. even after all these years he still finds himself speechless in front of you. like that time he noticed the ‘k’ earrings you were wearing. you had pointed to the right one, saying “katsu” then the left one as “ki.” he had found himself lost in your words again. the little actions you do, they have a special place in his heart.
now, hearing you say that you want to be his wife, not just anybody’s wife, but his only, makes him act instinctively. a warm hand is on your nape, pulling you close to brush his lips against yours. moments like these when you say things that just make his heart...squeeze. the love he has for you is overfilling. he can’t just store it inside, he needs to let it out.
so as he kisses you passionately, hands moving to cup your face gently, he’s telling you more than just I love you. He’s telling you marry me, I’ll take care of you, cherish you, love you forever, I’ll be your man. the hubby you cuddle like a teddy bear at night. I’ll be here. so marry me, will you?
