" if you like three food, we can come more often? " Pablo suggested, kissing your cheek. You nodded, " but that's IF I like the food- you know I'm a pick eater. " you said laughing and Pablo laughed too.
When you two were seated you both looked at the menu and then both gave each other a scared look- I can't read French! Your faces spoke. But dw, soon the waitress gave you an English / Spanish menu. (For x French reader just ignore @coco657)
You both ordered dishes that you thought sounded good (idk French foods 💔) and waited for your order. You both took a sip of your drink and smiled at each other- it reminded you of your first date. The second best day of your life. First being the day Pablo proposed.
Soon your food arrived and you two started eating. Both of you enjoyed the food. In fact loved the food. And you both kept on smiling at each other whenever you'd made eye contact- you two were inlove <3
Pablo paid for the bill- as if he'd ever let you pay. And you two started to walk back into your hotel room. You two passed by a cafe bakery and you tried to look inside checking if it was open- which it was.
Pablo noticed and smiled, " let's get dessert " he said talking you both into the cafe bakery. You guys ordered 12 macaroons, two scones, two crosants and one baguette. And can you guess who paid? A certain Spanish footballer.
Later in bed, half of the stuff already eaten, you were fast asleep against Pablos chest, his arms wrapping around you softly. " I can't wait to spoil you even more when we're married. "Pablo said watching you sleep. You moved a bit after he spoke.
He laughed quietly, " Lo siento, duerme bien mi amor." he whispered kissing your hair.

HP Rec Fest Day 29 - A Post-Canon Fic
Is there a definition of Post-Canon? I'm not sure. So, I've made up my own, and there are two excellent fics that I love that both pick up after the end of Deathly Hallows. @hprecfest

Still very much a WIP, but one of the ones that makes me squeal with every update notification, it's a Ginny POV canon-compliant post-battle story with an air of mystery and fascinating focus on characterisation.

Also a canon-compliant post-battle fic, this one from an unusual and interesting third party POV, one with an over-arching mystery running alongside a portrait of recovery from trauma, bursting with interesting OCs as well as canon favourites and a superbly claustrophobic atmosphere. Technically a WIP but so, so nearly completed. I absolutely love it.

Verde is a fav to hear headcanons for! If he's not preparing it, what do you think is his favorite meal? If he's the one having to prepare it, what is his favorite meal? Do you have any headcanons for foods he absolutely hates? This has always been such a lovely blog. ^.^ I'm glad to see you're still around.
Okay, so I know this ask literally just came in and there are older requests waiting to be answered but I just could not wait to answer this, sorry to those waiting on replies. It's just...my god, not only do I absolutely adore Verde and writing for him, but I just finished reading your tags on the reblog and I swear, if not for the fact my boss is a woman, I would almost swear we worked for the same person, haha! But you nailed it as I see Verde's space a lot like that as well! I hope you'll enjoy these headcanons as well, dear!
So, going a bit out of order here but there are definitely a wide variety of foods that Verde hates. I really do see him as almost a picky eater, but not quite, if that makes any sense? Like, he's picky but not so much so that people would scold him for it.
I think a lot of his hated foods are either really strong flavours or smells or texture issues. I definitely think that he is one of those people who really are affected by the texture and smell of food just as much as the actual flavours.
He really likes olives, but only fresh ones. You pickle them or put them in a can and it almost makes him want to cry over a waste of good food. There's just an off taste to them that way, a kind of metallic afterbite that is so unpleasant to him. In fact, anything pickled isn't something he generally likes and will eat only occasionally as the strong vinegary taste is hard for him to handle and honestly, it gives him the hot burps and heartburn if he eats more than one or two pickles.
If he's lucky enough to not have to scrounge up food for himself and someone else is making it, it will really depend on if he has the time to sit and eat the meal or will be eating it while he works. Like I mentioned, if he's working while eating, it has to be something he can eat with one hand. In that case, if the shop he prefers is open, it's a panini made with Italian panini bread, a little pesto mixed with mayo, lots of chicken, some thin slivers of roasted red pepper and so much mozzarella cheese, maybe some tomatoes. It's something that tastes good even if it's lukewarm or cold when he gets around to eating it.
If he's actually got the time or opportunity to sit down for a meal, he really likes French cooking, with beef bourguignon being a favourite of his. He typically only orders it while out to a meal with other scientists he's interested in working with, since it's a bit of a luxury.
Now, while he has picky and expensive tastes in foods, his fridge and kitchen...it's pretty damn bare. He makes a lot of sandwiches, heavy on the meat and normally with mozzarella or Havarti cheese and a good dose of mayo. He is picky about his bread though - no fucking Wonder Bread. That's sugary as anything to him. He prefers a good crusty Italian loaf or a French baguette. If he really wants something warm, and as junky as he knows they are, he tends to keep precooked, frozen, microwavable burgers on hand. Throw in a handful of carrot sticks or celery sticks and it covers all the bases.

Punch Out x Monster High: Monster Institute
A crossover with video game, Punch Out, and cartoon series, Monster High (with inspiration from British sitcom, Mind Your Language)
Story:
The Monster Institute is a school for all ages that teaches monsters to adapt in mortal society. Every monster is given a class program and in our story, we will be focusing on the Human Etiquettes Class, taught by Doc Louis, a human who is a gym instructor and is passionate about teaching monsters basic human etiquette, but will he succeed? Class is now in session!
Cast:
Teacher: Doc Louis- a normal human who is the teacher of Human Etiquette, passionate and a love for chocolate bars
Students:
Little Mac (The Jackson Jekyll/Holton Hyde type)
Son of Jekyll and Hyde
Mac may look like a normal human but when exposed to loud music, he turns into Peter Pitch, a Hyde monster who loves sports and music. He sees Doc as more of a father figure and a mentor as well.
Star Mika (The Draculaura type)
Daughter of Count Dracula
Her mother id from a long line of Filipino vampires called Mananangal, who flies with their upper torso but she does not eat/like human flesh and prefers sweets. Mika may look sweet but don't get her angry or she'll scratch you. She loves learning about the mortal world, especially something called 'anime'.
Glass Joe (The Rochelle Goyle type but a little shy)
Son of the Gargoyle
A literal clean freak, Joe will be the first one to clean the classroom, he enjoys a nice cup of coffee and a baguette. He also happens to have feelings towards Mika.
Von Kaiser (The Frankie Stein type but more strict)
Son of Frankenstein
A boxing teacher and scientist, Kaiser is always tinkering with inventions and he does not like to swim since electricity and water don't mix well. A strict military type and often takes the role as 'class president'.
Disco Kid (The Twyla Boogeyman type but more of a party animal)
Son of the Boogeyman
A party monster, Disco loves to dance, listening to jazz and disco music but he's super clumsy when it comes to the difference between dancing and walking, a somewhat monster version of Michael Jackson, who he idolizes with a few other mortal singers and dancers. He often hangs out with Mac and Mika and he often carries a boombox to listen to music which results to Mac to turn into Peter Pitch.
King Hippo (The Posea Reef type but mute and a bit of a foodie)
Son of Maui
The son of the demigod of the wind and sea, a real eater. Hippo's appetite is infinite, he loves food, often sneaking food in class. He does not speak but has learn sign language thanks to Mika.
Piston Hondo (The Kiyomi Haunterly type but calm and collected)
Son of the Oni
Hondo is quiet and calm, an otaku and is never one to complain, he respects everyone in class. He loves showing Mika some anime which she would squeal in happiness whenever he gift her some anime merch. Hondo is also a very skilled warrior.
Bear Hugger (The Clawdeen Wolf type but is a bear and a animal lover)
Son of the Skinwalker
Bear can shapeshift into anything but is a big softie, a real sucker for nature and a huge fan of animals, he has a bear name Maple and a squirrel named Chipper. He loves maple syrup and often sleeps in class.
Great Tiger (The Gigi Grant type)
Son of the Djin
Tiger loves granting people wishes and performs magic tricks in front of his classmates, but of course, he often takes caution when granting wishes as the saying goes; 'be careful what you wish for.'
Don Flamenco (The Venus McFlytrap type but more romantic and is a demon)
Son of El Diablo (The Devil)
A real ladies man, professional matador and has a love for roses. Don is suave, handsome and charming, just don't make him mad or else you would face his wrath. Even though he has a girlfriend, a succubus named Carmen, Don is infatuated with Mika, however he often competes for her heart with Aran.
Aran Ryan (The Hybrid type)
Son of Leprechaun and Banshee
Being the son of two different monsters (aka a hybrid monster), Aran is equally mischievous and annoying, making him the class prankster. But he's actually a nice person, even though he doesn't show it. Always head-butting Don everytime he tries to swoon Mika, his 'favorite lass' as he likes to call her.
Soda Popinski (The Abby Bominable type but more cheerful)
Son of the Yeti
Soda, as his name stated, loves soda, he wears his heart on his sleeve and is a party monster just like Disco but he can be a sloppy drinker, often drinking soda in class all the time.
Bald Bull (The Manny Taur type)
Son of the Minotaur
Others might find angry but he's just serious. Bull is very camera shy and often gets short tempered when someone tries to evade his privacy, especially Don who often practice his matador skills on him.
Super Macho Man (The Gil Webber type but more egotistical)
Son of the Jersey Devil
Macho is an attention seeker, a wannabe superstar who loves to spoil Mac and Mika with a lot of gifts but the two of them, thought of him as 'a really caring but too spendthrift uncle'. Macho is also super rich, he loves too put money on the problem... sometimes.
Mr. Sandman (The Spectra Vondergeist type but more serious)
Son of a Sleep Paralysis Demon
Class monitor and often keeps anyone from beating each other to a pulp. Sandman always keep others from getting into trouble, he's also a Care Bear fan.

Human Behavioral 101
Teacher: Hoy Quarlow (The Elissabat type but more older)
Son of the Jiangshi (Chinese Vampire)
Hoy is the descendant of a long line of jiangshi (Chinese vampires) who used to be a kung fu master and now, he is a teacher in Human Behavioral 101. He often sleeps when he tries to make a lecture or start a lesson but he tries to keep focus for the class.
Birdie (The Heath Burns and Kjersti Trollsøn type)
Son of the Phoenix
Birdie is Mac and Mika's best friend and is a professional gamer known as 'Fire_Bird', very passionate with gaming but he also cherish everyone.
Gabby Jay (The Garrott DuRoque type but more older and gay)
Son of the Gargoyle
Like Joe, he's also a clean freak but sometimes he takes cleaning very seriously, the strict grandpa type. Sometimes, he always flirting with Doc Louis (shout out to @kingmintyreturns) after class, much to Mac and Birdie's dismay but Mika thought it was romantic.
Bob Charlie (The Mouscedes King type)
Son of the Rat Man
Bob is a professional DJ, calm, collected and cool, a very mellow guy. Bob is somewhat laid back and a soccer fan, he doesn't get angry easily but when it comes to someone who insults music.
Dragon Chan (The Jinafire Long type)
Son of the Dragon
Dragon is one of Hoy's best student and treats him like a son equally. Dragon is fast when it comes to reading but is always fumbling with his words sometimes.
Piston Hurricane (The Hoodude Voodoo type but more serious)
Son of the Weather Element
Being a weather element, Hurricane often controls his emotions when using his powers, being stoic and serious (think of him as the male counterpart of Pipa [Disney Encanto])
Masked Muscle (The Skelita Calaveras type but is a luchador and proud)
Son of the Chupacabra
A famous luchador who is also Macho's rival and the two often compete on who the strongest man is. He's quite proud and is quite the ladies man, much to Don's dismay.
Heike Kegero (The Toralei Stripes type but nicer)
Son of the Kitsune
A flamboyant dancer and professional make-up artist, Heike is always there to give anyone a makeover. A perfectionist by heart, he's always perfecting his image, making a fuss about his hair.
Mad Clown (The Gooliope Jellington type but a little grumpy)
Son of the Killer Clown
Don't de fooled by his appearance, Mad Clown is all bite and no bark if you make him angry. He also has a sense of humor but he puts it with a grain of salt. Clown doesn't mind pranking others, especially Aran (who would be the target for Mika's paybacks).
Narcis Prince (The Clawdia Wolf type but more vain)
Son of Jack the Ripper
Being the son of a famous serial killer (and the only mortal), Narcis is both vain and crazy, always envious towards beautiful girls but maintain a gentleman status, the only friends he has are Mika, Heike, Aran and Joe.
Rick and Nick Bruiser (The Purrsephone and Meowlody type)
Sons of Orcs
The Bruiser Bros may look the same but have totally different personalities: Rick is loud, cheerful and rowdy while Nick is calm, quiet and smart, totally identical but different in many ways.

History of National Spinach Day
Originally from Persia (the area that is now Iran), spinach made its way to China in the 7th century, where the people referred to it as the “Herb of Persia” or the “Persian Green”. The vegetable eventually ended up in Europe a few hundred years later, when it landed in Spain. In fact, for some time the English referred to spinach as “The Spanish Vegetable”. It didn’t make its way to being cultivated in North American until sometime in the early 1800s.
Possibly the most famous person in history to be associated with spinach is 16th-century noblewoman, Catherine de’ Medici, who ruled France from behind her three sons for many years. Originally from Florence, Italy, she moved to France when she married King Henry II. It is said that Catherine loved spinach and made sure her cooks served it at every meal. Because of this, even today, meals that are made with spinach are often known as “Florentine” in honor of the birthplace of Catherine de’ Medici.
This dark, leafy green vegetable that grows in groups that form a rosette-type shape is part of the “goosefoot” family, with its close relatives being Swiss chard and quinoa, as well as beets. Spinach has a few different varieties that offer different shapes and sizes of leaves.
Taking some time to celebrate National Spinach Day acts as a little nod to this tasty, healthy vegetable.

Try Growing Spinach in the Garden

It’s an annual plant, meaning that it needs to be re-planted from seed each year, but it’s hardy and enjoys weather that is somewhat cool (but not cold).
National Spinach Day might be a bit too soon in the year to start a garden outdoors in many parts of the world. If this is the case, it’s simple to begin an indoor planting of spinach from seed and then move it outside when the weather permits. Spinach likes cool weather. So, as long as there is no risk of frost, the spinach plants should do fine outside in the spring.
As soon as the leaves are large enough to eat, the spinach is ready for harvest. It is healthiest when eaten as quickly as possible after harvesting. However, it can be stored, loosely packed, in a sealed plastic bag for several days. Don’t wash it ahead of time as it could get mushy. Simply wash it just prior to eating or cooking with it. It can also be frozen while it is still fresh.
Since it only takes about 6 weeks from the sowing of seeds to harvest time, it has a quick turnaround time. This means that it’s a great vegetable to grow in the spring as well as in the cooler autumn months so that there’s enough for the family to eat all throughout the growing season.

Some younger folks might not be familiar with the connection between Popeye and spinach. But those of a certain generation will possibly remember not only the Saturday morning cartoon but also the little jingle song that went along with it!
Going further back, even before it was an animated cartoon, more mature folks might remember that Popeye started out as a comic strip in the newspapers in the late 1920s. Eventually, decades later, a live-action film tribute was created in 1980, starring Robin Williams.
The theme of the character, Popeye, was that he was a rather average little sailor guy, with eerily large, tattooed forearms who smoked a pipe. And when he ate his spinach? Well, he would immediately gain superhuman strength and be able to punch the lights out of his arch-nemesis, Bluto, in order to help one of his friends who were in need. (Popeye and Bluto were constantly fighting over the affections of the tall, extremely skinny Olive Oyl.)
As it turns out, pop culture actually can have a positive influence on the world, proven by Popeye. After the character started eating spinach, children began asking for it and sales in the United States skyrocketed by one-third. That was quite a boost for the spinach industry–and the health of those children!

3. weapon of choice? any particular reason they chose their weapon?
chrysi’s is a quarterstaff… or a scythe… she gets to whack ppl rlly hard OR she gets to feel like she’s harvesting :3 also a bow and arrow on occasion because she feels vv satisfied w hitting her target frm a distance.
azure’s.. hmmm i always imagine him w a rapier. it’s light, it takes a lot of skill to wield, and he likes the challenge of it. vv classy.
chrysi likes to use his rapier at times too, but she does it jst to jab at ppl. stab stab stab, she’s awful!! (she’s actually p gifted at using it, but i feel chrysi’s fighting style is more practical in the sense that she knows that sometimes you’ve jst got to whack ppl to get stuff done! no need for flashiness! azure doesn’t realize he’s being flashy because that’s jst how he was taught 💀)
4. how crafty/resourceful are they?
chrysi’s been in Situations and she sure has gotten out of them!! she’s very quick on her feet and quick to assemble cockamamie schemes to get out of a rough situation. sometimes, though, she’ll fashion a way to escape a situation that is.. very very dangerous in retrospect. azure will yell at her for it later, to which chrysi always responds with, “but did we DIE?” he has no argument <//3
azure’s less prone to coming up w batshit escape plans, but he’s p decent at coming up w a reasonable response. he’s less resourceful than chrysi because of his practical he can be though!! and also because his brain doesn’t make the connections that hers does.
5. how do they typically dress? does their wardrobe lean more towards practicality or aesthetics?
azure’s outfits tends to be nice slacks and a nice sweater or dress shirt.. he starts wearing band t-shirts after chrysi starts getting them for him, but he’ll always being wearing nice slacks w them, which. hm! that’s a decision! if he HAS to wear jeans, then they’ll b black jeans of course. his outfits do tend to be more practical, except for his fucking shoes. he’s always always always wearing dress shoes, even when chrysi once had to take him on a hike to investigate something. she wouldn’t stop teasing him the entire way up. altogether though, azure’s fashion sense is classy, even when casual.
chrysi’s also p practical in her outfits, if a lot more casual. lots of off-the-shoulder shirts and shorts and ripped jeans.. okay, the off-the-shoulder shirts are a bit impractical. and her dresses are also not practical either—BUT I CAN BLAME JACKS FOR THAT! ITS HIS FAULT!!… chrysi’s a bit vain tho, so it’s also a bit of her fault too….
9. favorite food? least favorite? are they a picky eater? do they have any dietary restrictions?
azure’s fav food is. good question. juno said baguette or croissant 💀 but jokes aside, i genuinely think he would love crêpes <3 get some fresh fruit on that bitch and he’s having an excellent time. as for least favorite.. he is french, but escargot is awful horrible disgusting <3 he’s not a picky eater (literally was thinking abt how he’d enjoy bone marrow tbh…. ) nor does he have any dietary restrictions :)
chrysi’s fav food is chocolate strawberries 🖤 tastey!!!! she jst likes strawberries a lot in general :> least favorite ughfjdksls hmmm she doesn’t like fish that much rlly…. seafood in general isn’t her thing :/// she’s not too picky besides the seafood thing, BUT. might project my banana and honey allergy onto chrysi.. it’s okay, her mouth jst burns sometimes whenever she eats stuff w that haha, don’t worry abt it!

CHRYSI WEARS RINGS, CHOKER NECKLACES, EARRINGS, BRACELETS, ANKLETS……. everything 🖤🖤🖤 she prefers silver + her fav gem is probably any type of quartz.. srry to be basic <//3
azure starts wearing bracelets because chrysi got them for him + now they match :) then he wears a ring for their engagement and then their marriage, and they match chrysi’s ring sets :) he also prefers silver + his fav gem is probably ruby…? matches chrysi’s eyes !!!
19. are they quick to anger? what sets them off?
i wouldn’t necessarily say either of them are quick to anger. chrysi’s definitely quicker in situations (when ppl don’t LISTEN TO HER and also when they’re already infuriating.. rlly it’s not HER fault 🤷♀️), but what sets her off are ppl being mean to those she cares abt + they mention her parents negatively. alright, roll up your sleeves, she’s gonna pummel you!!
azures not quick to anger at EXCEPT FOR when ppl threaten chrysi or otherwise be cruel about her. he’s very ruthless when it comes to her… :)
29. are they associated with any particular element (air, earth, fire, water)?
chrysi’s defs fire, whereas azure’s more.. hm. he’s defs more earth and air.
34. how would your character describe themselves? it doesn't have to line up with how they really are.
azure would describe himself as withdrawn, lonely, impersonal.. chrysi would describe herself as super cool and pretty 😌… but does she mean it? honestly, she’d call herself a bitch and leave it at that.
35. do they ever return home?
.. their home is each other. they return home, but they’re always torn away from it again. there’s no rest.

Baguette bread
Hollis is nowhere near a healthy eater. XD So a lot of her favorites are just snack food she gets from corner stores. But she'll throw down with some classics that her family usually makes like horchata ice cream or empanadas.
Butter
Hollis is my fellow chubby character. She's smaller than Green but she's still got meat on her bones. So physically holding her I guess she is soft, but I'd say she can be pretty lighthearted. So in comparison to everyone else she is a soft character in disposition.
