i needed someone to talk to about CR so tumblr it is since i dont have friends... its about C1 btw so spoilers ahead if you havent seen it!
i just finished the chroma conclave arc and holy shit i loved it!
everything about it was amazing, the npcs, the battles, the relationships blossoming and fading, the fear of every citizen that was under one of the dragons ruling, just everything, spectacular!
raishan? my favorite villain! i cant fucking wait to see her animated in the show when we get to it! the way we got to talk in a relatively friendly way with a villain makes everything about that villain greater than when you just get an evil character and everyone is like "theyre evil so thats why we have to defeat them"
also loved feral keyleth when she learned about raishan being the one to open the portal leading to the destruction of the fire ashari and then when raishan revealed herself... i just really wanted her to go ape shit right then and there...
also the fucking feywild???? holy shit it sounds like an amazing place and id love to explore more of it... and ARTAGAN??? love that fey bastard so much and i cant wait to see him again (havent seen c2 yet but i know who he is)
the twins finding love is also something i hold dear to my heart... vaxleth and perchalia are so different and yet they both make my heart grow wider whenever they have soft moments together...
grog and pike friendship continues to be the best and i wish ashley couldve been there all the time... OH AND THE GUESTS! i love every guest pc relationship we got during this arc! kerrek my beloved! he was such a great influence on them, specially on keyleth and i will cry whenever i think about the ring...
and last, but definitely not least, scanlan, this motherfucker made me cry so much in these last episodes... i cant fucking believe i ended up liking him so much to the point that id be crying about him leaving... ngl at the beginning i didnt like him very much but he slowly grew on me and then i watched "A Bard's Lament" and he comes and yells at everyone (rightfully so imo) and im here just mouth agape, tears streaking down my face with the best performance ive seen from sam the whole campaign (so far)
well fucking done sir, his mind is brilliant sometimes and i cant fucking wait to see what more he comes up with for tary, whom i adore so much already after knowing him for one episode (and a few one shots ive seen already)
vox machina are great adventures and im excited to watch more and get to the episodes i have not seen anything about and get context for some of the clips i have seen before... love these assholes!

Ok first thoughts on all the characters let’s go:
Imogen: I love her. I’m in love with her. I love the charming southern belle vibe Laura’s got going on. I feel like she’s keeping a secret. I love that she’s got a bit of social anxiety. I love her. I think she is currently my favorite
Laudna: Definitely keeping some secret and I can’t wait to find out what it is. I love her vibe of being naturally creepy/scary but wanting to actually be fun and nice and sociable and it just doesn’t go her way because of how she looks. It’s adorable.
Ashton: I LOVE their chill barbarian vibe. No epic “I would like to RAGE” just a casual “yeah sure I’m gonna rage” and dealing a fuckton of damage and whatever the fuck is going on with his crazy probably mercer homebrew subclass 😂 iconic.
Fresh Cut Grass: I think the only surprising thing about this character was the fucking name. It gets me every time. I’m so excited to learn more about them and his past and whether or not they have a soul 👀 I’m intrigued. The name will always make me laugh though
Orym: genuinely SO excited he’s back. Liam said he wanted to be just a guy and kinda go with the flow for c3. I was a bit worried he spent that with Orym in EXU but he’s back!!! He gets to just be a guy! So happy for him
Fearne: My chaotic beloved oh my god. I missed her. She was full chaos immediately but also clicked SO well with these new characters and I fucking loved it. It was also great to see Ashley already comfortable playing a character and just havin a good time!
Dorian: Ahh what a lovey anxious little bard. How this chaotic party will probably give him even more anxiety. Not sure how long he will be sticking around but I love the familiar EXU face and hopefully/maybe means more EXU cameos? 👀
Bertrand: I cannot believe. I just. I didn’t expect this. Why. How. Who. Travis. WHY. I love it.

the official mell0bee campaign 3 predictions/wishlist (let’s be real here mostly wishlist)
that one post abt gay ppl talking abt the next critrole campaign like its the superbowl is correct
also i wrote the majority of these in may but never posted it
SAM RIEGEL PLAYS A CLERIC. this is not a prediction this is a THREAT.
i made a whole powerpoint about this i think u guys already understand why lol
specifically i think knowledge domain would be so cool for sam (and also i love knowledge domain so i am biased)
ashley johnson plays a bard (or at least SOMEONE plays a bard)
someone plays a full paladin not just multiclass (marisha!!! laura!!!)
someone plays an artificer (travis!!)
someone plays a fighter (personally rooting for eldritch knight they’re so cool)
oh man i only got 2 more classes left huh i may as well throw my hat in the ring, i think druid/sorcerer and rogue/monk??? idk who would play what tho.
ok obviously this is not gonna be the lineup and idk if this party is balanced but FOR SURE i think they’re gonna be more healy after only having one healer at the start of C2 shbfnfj
SOMEONE PLAY A WARFORGED/AEORMATON pls i wanna see it
someone should play a changeling it would be funny
i’m not sure of guidelines in LA but i really hope the setup is the group is back at the table again but it’s still prerecorded (live closed captioned and prerecorded talks machina, my beloved)
idk what the seating chart will be. i sure hope it is chaos. (i saw a post a while back that was like the Ideal Seating Chart pairing everyone with people they haven’t sat next to before + for the Peak Chaos the but i forget it F)
i really hope laura and sam get to sit near each other again though
set in a new continent, i think vasselheim would be very cool but honestly anywhere we go i will not complain
i think a bunch of agnostics on the God Continent would be a cool contrast to C2 where half the party worshipped illegal gods
yknow i was gonna say they start at level 3+? maybe? i am not sure if that’s matt’s style but they could wanna do something different than c2
i thought that there wasn’t going to be as much of a timeskip compared to VM to MN but honestly with exu there might be? say like 8-10 yrs after exu takes place or something, so uh a While after the MN
i would say they might play pre-calamity too but that just seems like a worldbuilding mess for matt so maybe not
someone better play a pair of siblings. it will make me very happy.
someone plays the opposite gender (i think maybe liam)
someone other than sam (alongside sam?) plays a tiny character (pls guys it’s so fun)
also laura’s character continues to be underneath 5’5, small character or nah (but yes pls play a small character that would make me so happy)
as for ppl who i want to have backstories together: travis and sam, liam and marisha, so then tal and laura or laura and ashley
laura and sam would also be good
(yes i am saying travis and sam should play the siblings)
also ashley and liam would be very good too
marisha has a high charisma modifier!!!
sam is tiny again (i think it would be funny). also definitively does not have any children. no kids. not for sam. someone else can have a kid.
LET LAURA GO FERAL. I WANNA SEE HER HIT THINGS AND JUST BE UNHINGED.
both of liam’s PC’s parents are ALIVE AND WELL AND GOOD PARENTS. also a hit die higher than a d6 and a positive CON modifier dear lord liam you know the most times KO’d on critrolestats is not a competition right
opposite of liam. i want travis to try a glass canon for once. also if he is not an artificer i want him to be a full spellcaster it would be so good!!
honestly all i want from ashley is for her to be there the whole campaign, no work taking her away from it (and maybe playing a more outgoing character! if she feels comfortable!!)
and idek what to expect from talesin at this point i am sure his character will bring out some sort of morality crisis in me tho (they always do and i love him for it)
also tangential, and idk if it will happen but someone playing an aroace character or just generally an aspec character would make me an aroace very happy :>
i feel like getting some form of queer characters is a given and obviously i want that and any form of rep but aspec rep is so rare and cad is! so good!
also let liam and sam romance each other 2k21

overall thoughts on vox machina vs mighty nein:
i enjoyed this so much!! i am not big on combat but this was seriously so fun and absolutely hilarious all the way through!
i’ve never watched c1 so this is my first time watching anything with the characters! ashley is sooo cute as pike, scanlan has made me realize i have never played with a bard before??, vax is so fucking COOL,
and percy is. slaskdfj everyone who knows me thinks that percy is so exactly my vibe and i mean, YEAH, i absolutely love everything he did in this oneshot. the “oh yes” is still on loop in my brain and will be for the next week, at least
i also really did not know that gunslinger was a fighter adaptation and now i’m highkey interested in playing one if my dms will allow it
fjord/travis is so fucking funny, i love watching him play this game so goddamn much, and jester and beau did so much work while laura and marisha both looked so spectacular in their outfits
MOLLY genderfluid tiefling my BELOVED his art was so good and every single person who looked at him and went “gender” is so absolutely valid and i am right there with you

Dragons in Our Midst for the ask game!!
- blorbo (favorite character, character I think about the most)
probably Ashley?? Ashley from my dragon books ahdjdjdksns
- scrunkly (my “baby”, character that gives me cuteness aggression, character that is So Shaped)
WALTER FOLEY MY BELOVED BOY
- scrimblo bimblo (underrated/underappreciated fave)
Gabriel probably, although the whole Tumblr DIOM party loves him very dearly as well so idk if he's underappreciated.
- glup shitto (obscure fave, character that can appear in the background for 0.2 seconds and I won’t shut up about it for a week)
JADE FROM CHILDREN OF THE BARD, the four-armed girl who helps Matt (and Darcy) and is the keeper of that... portal-y place. I LOVE HER.
- poor little meow meow (“problematic”/unpopular/controversial/otherwise pathetic fave)
...is there even one??? tbh I feel like I did have one at some point but I haven't read the books in so long that I'm forgetting who it was. maybe Darcy from COTB, since she's questionable for quite a while
- horse plinko (character I would torment for fun, for whatever reason)
...Devin??? but tbh probably nobody lol
- eeby deeby (character I would send to superhell)
also Devin probably

I’m so glad you don’t mind me gushing about my excitement for a potential c3!! I have been loving reading the character theories that have been popping up recently! Do you have any? I haven’t decided on character races & backgrounds, but I do think Sam might play a cleric, Liam I think enjoys playing a spell casting class so maybe a bard (I would die for that Shakespearean-tragedy bard class that Matt thought of at a panel) I would love to see Marisha play a rogue (🔥🔥🔥), Laura I would love to see as a monk or barbarian so she can really do some Big Damage™️, Travis I can’t decide but maybe a wizard or even a blood hunter (even with Molly/lucien I do think it would be so interesting to see another pc blood hunter), Ashley I think would also be amazing as a bard, but I think maybe she’d go ranger or warlock, and then Taliesin I think maybe a sorcerer or druid. Also *so curious* too see what Liam picked for Sam 😂 I also can’t wait to see the various npc’s that Matt will create that will become beloved fan favorites! And yes, the accents!! I’m so so curious as to what everyone will choose!!
Mmmmm yes good.
I want. the Shakespearean Bard Class. SoOOO Badly. I mean, I would adore for Liam, the Actual Bard Himself (reincarnated or time traveling, we believe) to play one but honestly I would just love for him or Matt or both of them to actually create a homebrew class for it so that we all can play it!
Laura as a Barbarian is frankly a great idea. Mancubus Part ii.
I sort of don't stray into this myself because I have a hard time picking. I love all the options! They would be great as anything so long as they were having fun doing it. But I really love reading other people's lists because so many cool ideas can come from them!

Everyone’s throwing things into this river, it’s a place you can go to and feed off of that energy,’ she says, ‘and feel nourished by the fact that so many people are feeling what you’re feeling. I love ravenclaw scanlan and hufflepuff pike, it fits a lot to me but id love to know your reasoning for the gnomes!
Let’s get to it then! Analysis under the cut for spoilers..... for like, a lot of campaign one lmao
Ravenclaw Scanlan, to begin just because it’s very cut and dry, at least for me. Scanlan is a bard, and throughout every episode, he was shown to be creative and witty, both traits of being a Ravenclaw. He was often the one who cracked jokes to be humorous, but he was also known to have moments of intellect where he became serious and smart. He managed to create a... successful crime ring in Marquet under the moniker of the Meatman, which could arguably be points towards Slytherin, but I still believe his Ravenclaw outweighs this, as it would take a great amount of intelligence (of which his in-game score was 16.)
Now, Pike. I tossed Pike around Hufflepuff and Gryffindor, because we’ve seen many things from our beloved Trickfoot, but I think her standout traits are definitely that of a Hufflepuff.
Loyal: This loyalty is, while a good trait, could also be Pike’s undoing. We see her loyalty to the Trickfoot family when their odd clan of gnomes come across Vox Machina later on stream. Pike was loyal to her family, willing to let them into Whitestone and be kind to them. This, however, led to Pike almost losing a very pricey diamond to her thieving family. Even after this is confessed, Pike, gentle, loving Pike, gives the rest of her purse to the Trickfoots in exchange for them to never be seen by her again, save for JB. This loyalty to her family is baffling, especially in the wake of them trying to trick and deceive her out of a diamond.Hardworking: Pike’s dedication to reconstructing the Temple of Sarenrae in Vasselheim is a very good indication of Pike’s hardworking nature. Another, closely related, one is how Pike would essentially astral project herself to Vox Machina (during times where Ashley was able to be present, but Pike couldn’t just appear out of nowhere physically) during times like the Briarwood Arc. In the midst of building a temple, she felt her friends were in danger, and through sheer force of will, she projected her consciousness to them to be of aid. All of her time spent healing is also a good point towards a hardworking Hufflepuff.
Protective and Caring: These kind of go without saying, but here are some examples of Pike caring for people outside of her regular healing. In Pike’s introduction through the origin video, we learn that Wilhand was captured by goliaths and Grog stood up to them, and then was subsequently beaten. Pike brought him back to life and became his best friend. Another is every time there was a resurrection: the one off of the top of my head is Percy’s after Glintshore. I can’t quite remember the details, but I do know that she was one of the three contributors to the ritual. On top of all of this, Pike has shown that she cares deeply for all of Vox Machina through various discussions (be it post-Vorugal where she and Vax talked about their deities, or through her friendship with Grog, her brief crush on Percy, the friendship with the Girls(tm), etc. etc.)
Thanks for asking!

Talks Machina Highlights - Episode 109
Covering for @eponymous-rose because she has just moved and has one chair in her apartment, and also her ceiling is apparently making it rain inside. Also, I’m still riding the high of seeing this show live, so let’s get this going!
Tonight’s guests: Liam, Taliesin, and Marisha! Late start; Brian blames Spectrum. I blame Sam.
Regular Critical Role this week; Sam’s oneshot is next week! Tonight’s After Dark will be a rebroadcast of the panel from GenCon.
Everyone is a little stunned at how much they packed into last weekend. Marisha is amazed that they’ve gone from 250 people to 2500 people in the audience, especially considering the number of volunteers and staff they need to run a show like this. Brian is very surprised it had so few hitches in the production.
Marisha helped Brian piece together his outfit (it was Ashley’s shirt and pants from New York that Ashley made him get).
No one knew what Sam would be wearing until fifteen minutes before showtime. He originally used a Chessex dice box, but Liam “didn’t feel it would read in the back row” so he used a larger, hollow box.
A fan offered Brian ten thousand dollars for that box after the show. Yikes.
The art book has been in planning for a year; the first official meeting was at the last ComicCon. Liam’s favorite piece is a group portrait that has not been seen before. Taliesin loves that there are bits of “ephemera” scattered throughout the book.
Neither Liam nor Taliesin anticipated how much work the book would be. No release date yet.
Liam had no plan to make sure the potion went to Sam. He just wanted a lighthearted moment, and hadn’t planned to use it until the Raven Queen’s trammel almost broke the episode before.
Keyleth suspected foul play on the love potion because she knows Vax well enough by now, but wasn’t worried because she likes lighthearted trickster Vax.
Brian was hoping Scanlan would see a mirror first. Taliesin hoped for Keyleth or Grog. Marisha hoped for Vax.
The Gif of the Week is Matt tearing up his notes. It’s still hilarious.
Liam feels like the whole night was a scene from 300, including the chant of Vax’ildan. It was overwhelming in a good way.
Liam thinks some of Sam’s song/speech schtick was prepared before the show, but Taliesin and Marisha think he was adlibbing some of it as he went. Everyone marvels at his ability to improv so quickly.
Taliesin thinks Vex would have taken a finger or two if Scanlan hadn’t backed off.
Marisha thinks Keyleth has come to the acceptance that death is likely, even though she’s hopeful they will survive.
Marisha was slightly concerned that Scanlan would be angry at the prank and leave again.
Liam doesn’t intend the pranks to be as good as they are, he just trusts Sam Riegel. “I just had to hold the football for Riegel and let him kick it.”
If Scanlan had seen Vex first, Percy would have been amused at first and then quickly annoyed. Taliesin also notes that Percy doesn’t know there was a love potion involved and is vain enough to think it was genuine.
There will be a Talks Machina next week even though a lot of people will be at Burning Man; it just “won’t be a traditional Talks.”
Brian was excited to emcee the live show even though he had to stall a few minutes at the beginning because the merch line was so long. He felt like he had a contact high from how many Critters were excited to see him and the crew, the crowd singing All-Star before the show, and everyone just being generally enthusiastic.
The guy who owns the theater said they have had rock concerts that were less exciting; he apparently thought something had happened after the first cheer and came out to check that everything was okay.
Keyleth is okay plummeting to her death these days.
Taliesin, Marisha, and Liam all feel they will be battling Vecna on top of the titan. They don’t think it will stop until he’s defeated.
Liam was certain he was going unconscious when Matt said he didn’t have the dice for the damage. Vax’s HP dipped to the 30s.
Brian sat next to Andrew from CritRoleStats during the show. Hi, Andrew! He does the math in his head for the HP tracking and Brian kept interrupting him by accident.
Percy is very much looking forward to killing Delilah again. “She’s the gift that keeps on giving.” He also says something about keeping her in a dungeon and killing her every week. Marisha: “Geez louise, that’s dark!”
Keyleth thinks it’s better for her to be down a high-level spell slot than for Scanlan to be, since he has so many high level Hail Marys.
Brian marvels again at how intense the crowd was. The pre-show panel helped amp them up as well.
Favorite GenCon moments for everyone! Brian: watching the live show in the audience and going to the Logic show. Brian got to lose at MarioKart on that stage as well. He came in 7th out of 8, and six of the other competitors were bots. Liam loved Bobby pulling Hannah Banana onstage to rap. I’m missing a lot of these references, so apologies if any of this is misspelled! The guy behind Brian’s empty seat apparently cheered very hard for him, even though he lost. Brian also loved Travis’s face when they walked out onto the football field on Sunday. Taliesin loved photobombing Critters.
During the standing ovation, Marisha felt “pure, distilled, emotional ecstasy.” Liam was very humbled by the love for something they created around Marisha’s dining room table. Taliesin can’t find words for it. Brian felt like it was a wall of love.
Right before he came out to do the initial announcements, Brian gave Matt a hug and unexpectedly started crying, so he had to compose himself before starting the show. At the end of the show, he looked over and saw Matt had tears in his eyes as well.
Liam loves that events from the game feel like real memories, and that what they do matters so much to so many people.
After Dark: aka That Pre-Show Panel From the Con
Everyone is nervous about the show except Travis, who’s stoked. Everyone had a strategy session beforehand, except the rules of the game kept getting in the way. Matt: “Antimagic field does not work against spells cast by deities, sorry!”
Marisha and Laura love the game because of the roleplaying elements. Marisha notes there’s still a problem with D&D being perceived as a boy’s game. Liam runs a game for five small girls who love it because it’s not treated as a game for girls; “get ‘em while they’re as young as possible.”
Any two NPCs in a cage match: Marisha picks Kevdak and Groon. Laura picks Trish the Dish and Kima. Matt: “Now we’re just me at home playing with my action figures, and I’m okay with that.”
Marisha notes that Critical Role builds every week, which is different than the pre-produced final product from Dread. She loves Dread’s team-building aspect for the puzzles and atmosphere. Matt: “It felt weirdly magical.”
Taliesin and Marisha are very proud of Dread; there will be more to come.
An audience member asks about favorite one-liners: “Your secret is safe with my indifference.” “Life needs things to live.” “Where’s Larkin?”
They talk about how weird it is to have their game so big. They’re constantly amazed by the fan productions of love.
Matt works hard on the balance between grandiose successes, failures, and heroism, and the importance of grounding the adventure in realism. Liam loves that it runs the gamut from an argument over a pair of shoes to a beloved city crumbling around them.
Matt never imagined this world he made up would end up in a campaign guide. It was originally a generic fantasy land for his friends to play in, but the more life he put into it the more life his players put into it, and it was very daunting to try to capture all that collaboration into a book for other people to play in. He talks a bit about Joey, his co-writer, who helped him with the overwhelming load of work and created some ideas of his own.
If Laura could reroll one roll from the whole campaign, she describes a moment pre-show where she was trying to slide on her knees through a troll’s legs to shoot up, except she rolled a 1 and the troll stepped on her stomach. Travis would reroll the skull spike. “I wanted that one bad.” Taliesin feels bad rolls are character-building. Matt mentions the roll in the Sunken Tomb, and apparently Laura has never realized how much hinged on that one roll before this moment. Matt thinks of the roll Raishan failed against the Feeblemind. “Thanks, Keyleth!”
Travis prevented Laura from taking a gift earlier, but totally accepts a gift beer from an audience member. The same person brings up how good D&D is for blind and low-vision players since it’s theater of the mind, and as my residency was in low-vision rehabilitation, this means a lot to me. Matt also brings up Critical Role Transcripts as another great method of accessibility. They have over 60% of the whole show completely transcribed, which is over $50,000 in transcribing time. You can sign up to volunteer for five-minute slots at CRTranscript on Twitter.
Matt talks about the importance of writing down details for NPCs you create on the fly and fleshing them out after the campaign if you think they might recur, because the players will remember every time if you don’t.
Senokir was made up on the spot. Serious Alpha technical issues, so I’m sorry if I miss some stuff here.
Matt does not believe in punishing players for being clever. He would rather throw away material and reuse it later.
Sam is proud of the Washington Football Team inspiration and the library sequence with Laura. He liked the pressure of coming up with so many songs on the spot.
Grog would take the Deck over the Alchemy Jug without a thought.
Travis will always choose character-based leveling for Grog over meta-gaming every time, especially if it makes Grog dumber. Sam looked up good spells for bards and the mansion was not one of them, but he took it because he loved the idea and hasn’t regretted it. Laura feels the same way about keeping Trinket through the Pathfinder transition. Taliesin never took Luck for the same reason; he feels the potential of the gun backfiring is the price he should pay. “I don’t want to undo my weaknesses.”
Liam’s choice of Fated is why Matt started thinking about him being fate-touched.
More serious technical issues, sorry. Matt talks about the fact that all DMs will make mistakes and that it’s important to find creative solutions within the bounds of the world you’ve made.
If Vex could reincarnate as anything, she’d pick “angel babyyyy!” Marisha would like to see Keyleth as a half-orc.
Laura is very disappointed Matt didn’t haggle the last time they went to the flea market together.

need drabble prompts
(edited this post to give it not shitty formatting! hooray!)
been falling out of touch with RP lately, too busy with work and other projects.
I feel like I’m locked into RP with the same handful of people, and branching out/reaching out is hard.
To rectify that, I wanna put out drabbles for my characters to convey where they’re at, what they’re up to, or who they are, so people have reason to know about them and care.
Taking any prompts you guys send in. Please specify a character, I just don’t have it in me to do the same thing 16 times over and I want to know who my followers care about.
I’ll list my characters below, with very brief descriptions. Later, I intend to make full pages on my blog for them and if anyone has any suggestions for a format to follow for that that’d be helpful.
My character list:
Blaetlona Isilmynawyn: Limsan Sea Wolf who’s proud of her city, people. Flies the Maelstrom flag in her daily life and is just about the most kindhearted character I play, but takes serious issue with certain locales outside her native Vylbrand. Talented scholar, firm leader, loyal to a fault. Best friends with Azionne Melisandre, Zwynmaga Doesmagasyn and the rest of the crew of the Reconciliation, with whom she’s joined up with in the past.
Grey Riot: Son of Bernard Undertaker, adopted “son” of Ashelia Riot. Mischief-prone rogue with cursory Shinobi training. In a serious romantic relationship with Enea Mohnesh, who he almost died protecting, and takes very few things seriously. Generally dislikes Edge Marbrand, but has gotten to the point he’s able to mostly hide it. Extremely defensive of those he cares about, and quick to anger if they’re insulted or mistreated.
Jaraku Drake: (In)famous bard known for a bombastic personality and extreme arrogance. Married to (and adopted the last name of) Issabel Drake, who he is madly in love with. Formerly a lalafell named “Jajaraku Jojoraku”. Hates Ul’dah, capitalism, Ishgard, Gridania, Garleans and firearms. His public persona is a front he allows very few people to see past. Former alcoholic, now alcohol-free for about two years.
Resh Viqqoh: Fanatically loyal to the Riskbreakers and hero-worships Ashelia Riot, to the point she would do absolutely anything if Ashelia Riot told her to. Blessed with a near-perfect memory, but former dealings with the Void severely weakened her body. Brilliant engineer and mechanic, heads the Riskbreakers’ engineering department and masterminds a variety of new designs. Raised a monstrous chocobo named “Dorgengoa” who is suspected of eating far worse things than Gysahl Greens...
Zwynmaga Doesmagasyn: Illegitimate son of the fearsome Limsan pirate Doesmaga, great friend to Jaraku Drake and Blaetlona Isilmynawyn. Captain of the Reconciliation, an achievement made before he’d reached twenty years of age through wise investment of his finances and a tendency to inspire those around him to follow his leadership. Is a Limsan to the death, and a firmly-rooted Maelstrom man. Always volunteers to assist with holiday decorations around the city and has a soft spot for people smaller than him who show any interest whatsoever in Limsa Lominsa. Is asexual and aromantic.
Bernard Undertaker: Aged Ala Mhigan criminal mastermind, formerly a major player in the city’s underworld. Feared for brutal enforcement of a set of rules imposed upon business in the undercity and practically single-handedly responsible for the smooth operation of criminal enterprise in the city’s twilight hours. Kept on a tight leash by the Garleans occupying the city and will do absolutely anything to stay alive long enough to see them brought down, including sacrificing those around him without their consent or knowledge. Idolizes his sole surviving friend in the world, Ashley Rosenheim, and sacrificed much in the pursuit of saving his friend’s life.
Rydia Misuto: Sole survivor (to her knowledge) of the razing of her village outside Doma by Garlean hands. Survived through sheer force of will via rage, hatred and an unquenchable lust for revenge. Pursued Cecilia Harvey to Eorzea, keen to kill the woman who’d killed Rydia’s mother, but through a series of events ended up forgiving Cecilia and instead turning her vendetta to Garlemald directly. Frustrated with the Riskbreakers’ general lack of progress and, as she perceives it, their frequent wasting of time that is better spent fighting Garlemald. Is, at present, pacified by Cecilia Harvey’s promise that when the time is right, they will join the counterattack. Is a capable summoner, and channels her spellcasting into a fistfighting style using specialized gloves made by Issabel Drake, who also employs her. Is slowly warming up to the people around her the more she grows attuned to her own emotions, and is learning self-control and to throttle her nigh-constant outrage through being trained as a dark knight by Cecilia Harvey.
Natalya Nibiru: Former self-appointed vigilante assassin of indeterminate age. In a long-running romantic relationship with Gaelle Troyes, who reintroduced a spark of humanity into Natalya’s crusade. Was, secretly, formerly known as “Marguerite Lafontaine”. Now acts as a paper-pushing agent of the Riskbreakers who assists Ashelia Riot as an advisor. Struggles with conflicting feelings and an attempt to reconnect to who she was as a person before beginning her one-woman crusade against organized crime.
Account 2:
[character under construction]
Gaelle Troyes: Smooth-talking “fortune-telling” charlatan who cons everyone she comes across with bogus fortunes and soothsaying. Puts on melodramatic acts whenever she’s around anyone who isn’t Natalya, always playing up that she’s “blessed by the Twelve” and “speaks their will”. Surprisingly, the Twelve often will that she be paid exorbitant fees to tell people things she’s picked up from cold readings, and long-term predictions which are vague enough and far enough forward that no one has time to complain, because either an event occurs which can be attributed to the “prediction” or she’s long gone by the time her mark figures it out.
Hyltbryda Eyrieynwyn: First Mate of the Reconciliation, proud girlfriend of Lee Whims and unshakably loyal to captain Zwynmaga, the city of Limsa Lominsa, and the Maelstrom (in that order). Extremely athletic and competitive, always eager to show off the fruits of her time spent exercising and training to fight. Has been fighting on the sea since she was 12, and seven years later is every bit as capable and dangerous as her captain. Specializes in using a spear, though her sheer toughness and brute strength allows her to go toe to toe into a fistfight with opponents against whom she is, on paper, well overmatched. Shares Zwynmaga’s soft spot for small or young people with an enthusiastic interest in Limsa Lominsa or Vylbrand in general.
Clyde Arrowny: Petty thief turned grand larcenist turned shinobi. Lost his entire clan, including his much-beloved (and far stronger than he is) wife. The only other survivor was his daughter, who was taken away by Clyde’s father-in-law because the man was absolutely certain that she would be better served by living apart from her father. Clyde couldn’t disagree. Now travels with a small dog named “Interceptor”, taking up freelancer mercenary work and drifts, directionless, across Eorzea. Only came to Eorzea because his deceased best friend Baram always wanted to go there and Clyde had nothing better to do. Devoutly religious, and prays for guidance on a daily basis. His life was turned upside-down, however, when he caught wind that a survivor of the Tachibana clan he had been assigned to eradicate yet wandered Eorzea...
[under construction - all going according to plan, this character will be revealed before Stormblood hits.]
Gui Charlemalde: Optimist, idealist, proud Gridanian who left home to aid the realm. Firm in his belief that the role of an adventurer is to aid absolutely anyone in need, and has no interest in glory-hunting. To him, there are other people that want glory and riches who’ll kill extremely dangerous marks - he actively pursues tasks which get ignored for being “too small” and yet are outside the capabilities of local law enforcement. Is currently in a relationship with Tara Wae that is generally confusing (though not unpleasant) to both of them.
[under construction: please look forward to Stormblood!]
Ebony Wae: Tough-as-nails deadly serious twin sister of Tara Wae, daughter of Amelia Lee-Wae and inheritor to her parents’ fortunes - her father’s self-made, her mother’s inherited through a long line of nobility who claim their lineage traces all the way back to the days of Mhach, though, suspiciously, no concrete evidence of this remains aside from Black Mage crystals they stubbornly hold onto. Ebony had no interest in learning magic, leaving her sister to uphold the family tradition of Black Magic, and instead took to the path of a Dark Knight...
...Because it’s cool, of course. Ironically, her darkside is the nicer version of her, because every now and then actually it wants her to help people.

The state is exactly the proper caretaker for the people of South Dakota.
