Haru learning to use a gun

Haru would probably not really care for the gun.

She is a prey but she’s made it this far without needing a firearm.

There’s no harm in trying it out once in awhile though.

You and Haru go to an abandoned part of town and prepare bottles to shoot.

You flex first, just to show how great your aim is and pop three bottles in a row.

When Haru goes, she’s nervous. You show her the proper stance and how to hold the gun without popping an eye out.

When she fires she completely misses, the bullet lodged in the wall being almost a foot away.

You laugh uncomfortably which makes her frustrated.

She tries again, this time however, she misses her bullet and it’s a foot and a half away. Causing you to rupture in even greater laughter.

She joins in your chuckle party with her own laugh and after you two calm down, she tries again.

She fires and hits the bottle, blasting the top right off.

You cheer for her as she tries again and hits her second bottle.

Her experience with the gun is more casual than yours. She enjoys firing it but still sees no point in bringing one around. However she’s fine with you bringing it around her.

➥ a/n: Firstly this is my first beastar x reader fic ever and whiles I don’t watch the anime I read about it and know of it to a certain degree, as always no story I write truly follows the plot of the anime’s I write for so enjoy :) ooh and on another note this fic is totally not what the summary says it is, heads up this story is really long

Legosi couldn't help but stare in bewilderment as the new girl, (Y/n), walked into the school. She was unlike anyone he had ever seen before – a hybrid between a chipmunk and a human. Her appearance was intriguing and exotic, but it also made her stand out like a sore thumb in the sea of typical students.

As she passed by, Legosi noticed her big, puffy tail swaying behind her, and he couldn't help but wonder how she managed to navigate the crowded hallways with it. Her sharp teeth caught his eye as she flashed a smile at another student, who quickly looked away in discomfort.

Despite the curiosity and stares from others, Legosi was determined not to let her appearance deter him from making a new friend. He had always been drawn to unique individuals, and something about (Y/n) seemed intriguing to him.

He took a deep breath to gather his courage and approached her cautiously. "Hi, I'm Legosi," he said with a friendly smile, trying to sound casual.

(Y/n) turned to him, her chipmunk-like ears perking up with curiosity. "Hey there, Legosi. I'm (Y/n). Nice to meet you."

Legosi noticed her sharp claws as she extended her hand for a handshake. He hesitated for a moment but then reached out to shake her hand, being careful not to get scratched.

"I hope you're not bothered by the way I look," (Y/n) said, her tone a mix of curiosity and self-consciousness.

Legosi shook his head, trying to put her at ease. "Not at all. I think it's fascinating, actually. You're the first hybrid I've met, and it's kind of amazing."

(Y/n) looked surprised but pleased by his response. "Really? Most people are put off by my appearance. They either stare or keep their distance."

"Well, they don't know what they're missing out on," Legosi replied with a genuine smile. "I like unique individuals, and I don't judge based on appearances."

As they continued to talk, Legosi realized that (Y/n) was more than just her appearance. She had a warm and friendly personality, and her chipmunk-like characteristics only added to her charm. They discovered common interests, like a love for nature and an appreciation for quirky humor.

(Y/n) chuckled, accustomed to such reactions. "I get that a lot. I'm a chipmunk-human hybrid. It's not very common."

Haru nodded, genuinely fascinated by (Y/n)'s appearance. "It must be an interesting experience. Have you heard the rumors, though?"

(Y/n) raised an eyebrow, intrigued by the mention of rumors. "What rumors?"

"If you hang out with me then you’ll eventually start to hear the rumors then. Probably shouldn’t though, most aren’t really good and it might place you in a weird position.” Haru explained.

(Y/n) shrugged nonchalantly, not letting the rumors bother her. "I don't pay much attention to rumors. I prefer to see things for myself and make my judgments based on what I experience."

Haru's eyes softened, and she smiled appreciatively at (Y/n)'s response. "That's a good attitude to have. People can be quick to judge without understanding."

"You seem like someone who sees beyond appearances too," (Y/n) observed, noticing Haru's accepting demeanor.

Blushing slightly, Haru nodded. "I try to be open-minded. Everyone has their own story and struggles. It's essential to be compassionate."

(Y/n) smiled warmly, feeling a connection with Haru. "I completely agree. It's nice to meet someone who understands."

As they spent time together during the garden club meeting, Haru and (Y/n) found themselves bonding over their shared love for gardening. Haru was thrilled to have a new member in the club, and (Y/n) felt at ease in Haru's company, appreciating her genuine curiosity and acceptance.

“Hey,” legosi called out walking into the garden house. “Um I’m here to pick up some roses for the theater club.”

“Oh yeah, hey (y/n). Could you go fetch those roses for me?” Haru asks.

“Yeah sure!”

As (Y/n) hurried back into another part of garden house she was surprised to hear the a door slam shut not that long after. Concerned, she rushed to see what had happened, only to find Haru standing in her undergarments, holding a towel to cover herself.

"Oops, guess I read the situation wrong," Haru said, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

(Y/n) couldn't help but feel shocked and uncomfortable at the sight. She quickly averted her gaze, not wanting to intrude on Haru's privacy. "I'm so sorry, Haru. I didn't mean to walk in on you like that."

Haru smiled, trying to play off the awkward moment. "No worries, (Y/n). It was just a little misunderstanding. I should've been more careful."

(Y/n) nodded, trying to keep her composure. "Yeah, it happens to everyone. Don't worry about it."

She wanted to make sure Haru knew that she didn't harbor any ill feelings about the incident. However, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. She had been starting to develop a crush on Legosi, and the sight of Haru in her undergarments brought up feelings of jealousy and discomfort she wasn't prepared for.

“He’s outside the door incase you were looking for him,” Haru says.

Trying to shake off those feelings, (Y/n) turned her attention to the door and exits out of it as quickly as she could, there she finds Legosi, who was nervously fidgeting but also patiently waiting for the roses. She handed them to him with a smile, trying to act as if nothing had happened.

"Here you go, Legosi. I hope these are perfect for the theater club," she said, keeping her voice steady.

Legosi oblivious to the awkward moment that had just occurred thanks her. “Thanks, (Y/n). These are great. I really appreciate your help."

As he thanked her, (Y/n) noticed her heart fluttering at his words. She had admired Legosi from afar for a while now, and getting to interact with him more intimately only made her crush grow stronger.

After the incident, (Y/n) tried to focus on helping haru tend to the other flowers whiles trying to put the awkward moment with Haru behind her. She didn't want her feelings of jealousy and discomfort to affect her friendship with Haru or her interactions with Legosi.

Throughout the rest of the day, (Y/n) kept her feelings to herself, not wanting to burden anyone with her emotions. She continued to be her cheerful and helpful self, assisting Haru in the garden club. Not wanting the small female rabbit to discover the hatred that was slowly brewing up.

As the day came to an end, (Y/n) couldn't help but feel conflicted. Her crush on Legosi and Haru obviously shared a moment together, and she knew that she had feelings for the tall grey wolf but she didn't want it to come between her friendship with Haru. She knew that she had to navigate her feelings carefully and find a way to maintain a balance between her emotions and her friendships. But at the same time she wanted to follow her mothers advice, what advise may that be.

In the days that followed, (Y/n) continued to spend time with both Legosi and Haru inside and outside of the garden club and his theater club. She tried her best to cherish their now developing relationship and support them while keeping her feelings in check.

After weeks of having kept her feelings in check (y/n) couldn’t handle it much longer. She had seen the two holding hands by the fountain at school and even walking the hallways together.

For once, she didn’t want to be the nice (y/n) everyone knew and loved, she wanted to be the selfish version of herself, the version her mother raised.

‘When I was your age and I was interested in your father you probably didn’t know this but he was with another chipmunk at the time, I refused to be pushed aside like I was some piece of trash. I mean look at me darling, me being the last human on earth at the time was something no one could uphold even the most rarest and almost extinct animals held no toppings to me. I wanted your father and I knew I had to have him. So that’s exactly what I did. I stole him right from under that bitch nose and still till this day neither one of them knows how they ended things only that I was there for your father in his darkest hour’

Yup she could hear her mother now, “Take what’s yours and have no regrets.”

‘Yeah moms right, legosi is mine. I deserve him, not haru.’ (Y/n) thinks pouting to herself as she looked in the mirror. She still lived at home with her parents having not wanting to stay on campus upon finding out the murder that took place there and seeing as how her family lived close to the high school she felt it was a win win situation.

As (Y/n) arrived at school, she noticed Haru chatting with another male animal near the entrance. Curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to snap a quick picture of the two.

Now having the photo in her phone (y/n) quickly checked the photography room for any signs of life, finding it deserted she quickly plugs in her phone logging into the schools Wi-Fi and prints out the picture. Making quick work once the picture was printed out she erased all her data from the computer and logged out, walking down the nearly empty hallways she looks at each number before coming to a stop in front of locker 102.

She drops the photo into the locker making sure no one sees her before he walks off with a slight skip in her step. Oh her plans were coming almost swimmingly.

Later that day, as (Y/n) was going about her day, she received a message from an unknown number on her phone. And it seems just about everyone in the hallways did too because when she opened it, she saw the picture she had taken of Haru and the male animal, along with a message.

"Get a load of this, poor Legosi doesn't even know his little playboy bunny is running laps over his heart."

(Y/n) felt a pang of accomplishment as she realized that the person who she dropped the photo into their locker had uploaded it to everyone’s phone.

Haru's heart pounded as she spotted Legosi down the hallway. She mustered up her courage and walked towards him, determined to set things right. As she neared him, she could see the hurt and doubt in his eyes.

"Legosi," Haru said, her voice laced with urgency. "I did nothing wrong. You have to believe me."

Legosi remained silent, his eyes flickering with a mix of emotions. Haru could almost hear the rumors swirling around them, poisoning the air. She understood that their reputation was at stake, and everything seemed to be crumbling beneath their feet. But she knew that they could fight back against this injustice by standing together.

However, rather than responding, Legosi turned abruptly and rushed away, leaving Haru standing there with a heart heavy with sadness and uncertainty. She desperately wanted to reach out to him, to explain her side of the story and erase the doubt from his mind.

Determined not to let rumors dictate their fate, Haru's mind began to race, contemplating her next step. She couldn't allow misunderstandings to tear them apart. As she pondered, a spark of defiance ignited within her.

Having accomplished step one of her plan (y/n) set off to do more damage, at least before haru had a chance to make up with the wolf. Having found the wolf lingering by the fountain she approached him slowly.

“Hey legosi,” she called out softly gaining his attention.

“Oh…hey,” (y/n) could tell that the photo was really hitting him hard, his normal wagging tail was downwards and limp by his side and as much as it pained her to think of him feeling this way she knew he time to shine would come soon.

“Hey listen, I know you seen what we all seen but don’t let that stop you from being happy!”

“But… haru and that…”

“Listen legosi, I can’t exactly say if what you’re thinking is what we seen in that photo but you shouldn’t let her actions get you down in the dumps like this.”

“But me and her…I thought we had something.” Legosi says.

“It’s okay…I was like that once,” she looks off to the side. “Did you know before I came to this school I was actually with a frog. He was such a sweet guy or at least I thought he was, but after a few weeks he showed his true color.” Casting a downwards expression (y/n) could feel the glare from legosi unwavering stare, keeping up with her sad far away expression she begin to tell the wolf a tale.

Technically it was the tale of her fathers and his past girlfriend relationship but with a twist to fit the situation at hand. As the two talked legosi feeling upset and even somewhat guilty pulled (y/n) into a hug. His long arms wrapped over her frame like a warm blanket and her heart neatly stopped in her chest at the sudden embrace.

From a distance though watched a little white rabbit, one burning with jealously.

As (Y/n) walked through the crowded hallways, she noticed Haru approaching her with a determined expression on her face. (Y/n) immediately sensed that something was bothering her friend. Before she could say anything, Haru confronted her about seeing her and Legosi hugging by the fountain.

"Hey, Haru, I can explain," (Y/n) began, her voice trembling with nerves. "It was just an innocent hug. Legosi and I are friends, and there's nothing more to it."

But Haru's frustration was evident, and she didn't seem to be listening. "I thought we were friends, (Y/n). How could you push yourself up all over him like that without considering my feelings? Or our relationship!”

“Serves her right,” whispered a female gazelle.

“That bitch deserves it then,” whispered another female, this time a panda.

"I didn't mean to hurt you," (Y/n) tried to explain, but Haru continued to express her feelings without giving the hybrid female a chance to respond.

"I thought I could trust you, but now I'm not so sure," Haru said, her voice tinged with sadness and jealousy.

On the outside (Y/n) looked torn between wanting to comfort her friend and trying to make her understand, whiles on the inside she was smirking at the scene. “Haru, I value our friendship more than anything. I never intended to hurt you or allow this to come between us."

Haru seemed momentarily taken aback by (Y/n)'s response, but her emotions were still overwhelming. "You have to understand how I feel. I just learnt my bestfriend was hugging up all on my boyfriend. I can't just brush this off like it's nothing."

"I do understand, Haru," (Y/n) replied, her voice steady despite her nervousness. "But you have to trust me when I say there's nothing romantic between Legosi and me. We're just friends, and I would never jeopardize our friendship."

As (Y/n) tried to reason with Haru, Legosi's friend, Jack, happened to pass by and noticed the tense situation. Sensing that something was wrong, he quickly took out his phone and texted Legosi about what he had witnessed.

Despite (Y/n)'s attempts to explain herself, Haru was still upset. "I should’ve known you were just another back stabbing bitch," she said slapping the hybrid female alongside her face, turning away from (Y/n) and walking down the hallway,

Just then, Legosi arrived, having received Jack's text. He noticed the worry on (Y/n)'s face and approached her with concern. "Is everything okay?"

(Y/n) sighed, her cool hand up against her slightly red cheek. "Haru saw us hugging, and she's really upset about it. I tried to explain, but she wouldn't listen."

Legosi nodded, understanding the situation. "Give her some time. I'm sure she'll come around once she calms down. You did nothing wrong….I did nothing wrong… look if anything we did nothing wrong, she was the first one who…”

“It’s okay legosi you don’t have to force yourself to say it.”

As Haru walked through the bustling school hallways, she couldn't help but throw side remarks every time she spotted (y/n) passing by. "Oh, look who it is, the backstabbing bitch,” she muttered under her breath, clearly annoyed by (y/n)'s presence.

Meanwhile, (y/n) continued to play the part of the seemingly defenseless friend, trying to avoid any confrontation with Haru whiles on the inside she was laughing up a storm. But Legosi, who was by (y/n)'s side, couldn't stand to see (y/n) being treated this way. "You shouldn't be taking this treatment," he said firmly to Haru. "She has no right to treat you like this."

(Y/n) interjected, "I appreciate your concern, Legosi, but she just doesn't want to listen to my explanation. It's like she doesn't even want to hear the truth." (Y/n) knew that Haru was Legosi's girlfriend or at least she might’ve still been, which made the situation even more complicated.

She hasn’t seen the two around one another for the longest and half of the time outside of school her and legosi were still around each other so it was safe to say him and haru weren’t on speaking terms still.

Legosi's expression softened as he replied, "Not anymore...we broke up." He hesitated for a moment before continuing, "I don't want to see you hurt because of her actions. You deserve better."

Despite their break-up, Legosi's protective instinct remained intact. He knew that (y/n) deserved respect and understanding, especially from someone who used to be close to both of them. (Y/n) felt grateful for his support even though she knew she could handle herself.

As the days passed, Haru's side remarks continued, and (y/n) simply found herself ignoring the white rabbit especially now that she had legosi practically under her control, he walked her to classes and even sat with her at lunch.

It was safe to say they grew closer.

Legosi's decision to break up with Haru was a turning point for both of them. They had to navigate their feelings and emotions while dealing with the aftermath of the breakup and the tension it brought between (y/n) and Haru. After spending countless hours together, Legosi couldn't keep his feelings hidden any longer. One day, as they were sitting in a quiet corner of the school garden, he mustered the courage to confess. "You know, (y/n), I've always somewhat liked you," he began, his voice tinged with nervousness. "But when Haru confessed to me, I felt so conflicted. I thought you might see me only as a friend, not someone you'd consider dating."

Before he could finish his train of thought, (y/n) cut him off gently with a soft smile, leaning in and planting a gentle kiss on his lips. "I've always liked you too, Legosi," she whispered, her eyes gleaming with sincerity. "I was slightly hurt when you went for Haru, but I understood your choice. I didn't want to jeopardize our friendship."

Surprised and relieved by (y/n)'s response, Legosi's heart raced with joy. "You liked me too?" he asked, a mixture of happiness and disbelief in his voice.

"Yes, but I didn't want to come between you and Haru," (y/n) replied, her fingers gently interlocking with his. "I thought it was better to stay silent and support you from the sidelines."

Legosi felt a sense of regret wash over him, realizing that he might have missed out on a chance at happiness all this time. "I wish I had known," he said softly. "But now that I do, I won't make the same mistake twice."

From that moment on, their friendship blossomed into something more beautiful and meaningful. They spent even more time together, now openly acknowledging their feelings for each other. The weight of the unspoken emotions lifted, allowing them to explore their connection freely.

You freeze, a natural full body lockdown due to your nature. You need to breathe, you have to breathe, but you can’t.

With a full body shudder your fist slams into a mirror. You feel yourself come back to yourself.

You’re in the restroom, and you can’t remember how you got there. There’s a stinging sensation from your right hand, and there’s a large cut slashed diagonally across your knuckles.

You breathe.

You focus on the pain, and how you can feel the blood seeping from the cut and drip onto the white-tiled floor. It comes back to you by bits and pieces as you stare into the shattered remains of the mirror before you.

Your own reflection is distorted. Your snout is elongated and when you open your mouth it looks like you have fangs.

Who is that?

You breathe.

Melon. Yes, yes, you were going to confront him—no, discuss why he insists upon ignoring you for that rabbit. You don’t even know her name because why should you. She’s no one compared to you.

Haru, what does she have that you don’t?

Yes! Melon and that rabbit were together in an empty hallway. He had been kneeling down to her with their pinkies interlock. Why were their pinkies interlocked?

The reflection seems to become more monstrous, more predator-like.

He’s going to eat her in a month. You begin laughing historically, smacking the rim of the sink as the laughter racks your body. How novel! A gazelle eating a rabbit!

It must be a joke, a prank! They caught you peaking around the corner and wanted to make you a fool, but they’re the fools! You see right through them and their silly little play.

You stop laughing.

Your hand stings, blood’s dripping and dripping and dripping.

In one blink to the next your outside Melon’s class. The door slides open and you enter with your hands clasped together as you take slow, measured steps to his desk.

“Bum bum badum,” you hum—it’s the tune for a wedding march.

Melon pauses, pen held over papers, “Can I help you?” He glances at you, and you have a full body shiver. He’s never looked at you this long before!

You walk up to him and press a bloody finger upon his pristine, white mask, “You can help me! Only you!” Disregarding personal space, you wiggle yourself onto his lap. You bracket him within your arms, looming over him. “Eat me,” you say.

His blinks. “Excuse me.”

You caress the loop of his mask, teasing it down. Your blood stains his fur.

“I heard your little promise with that rabbit,” the word rabbit rolls off your tongue like it’s poison. “Eat me,” you insist, “I would taste much better! Why go for a measly rabbit when you could have a gazelle. A fellow gazelle!”

You rock forward trying to entice another sort of attention from him.

Big, strong hands stop you; his hands grip your waist and you feel pinpricks stabbing into your sides.

Why are his nails so sharp?

Melon hums, “You want to be eaten?” He digs into the meat of your thighs and, suddenly, you’re facing the ceiling. Now, he looms over you.

You’re trapped.

“Poor thing wants my attention so bad you’ve decided that being devoured is the only way,” he coos. He grabs your injured hand, raptly watches as your blood drips down and lands upon the papers below. “Poor thing,” he says again.

“Please,” you beg. This is everything you’ve always wanted and more. He’s watching you, looking at you! You have all his attention and then some, oh how happy you are. “Eat me, not her!”

He appraises you before leaving you bereft of him. It’s cold. Why is it so cold without him?

You hear the sliding and locking of the door.

Warmth spreads through you because he’s back. Melon’s back and he envelops you with he entire being.

“I suppose I am my mother’s son.”

This confuses you because what does his mother have to do with this? Has she too eaten a gazelle?

“I want you to remember that you asked for this,” he declares, pushing his mask down.

Down it goes and you can’t wait to see his full face. You know it’ll be beautiful, so very beautiful.

Teeth.

Large, sharp teeth greet you.

The hand not being gripped by Melon’s explores those sharp, predator-like teeth.

“How,” you breathe. He’s a gazelle!

He nips the meat of your palm, “I’m a hybrid, the disgusting creation of a gazelle and a leopard.” Melon takes your bloody hand and licks it, smacking his lips after each lick.

He’s tasting you.

“You’re beautiful.”

Melon pauses before he smiles—his teeth are bared and his eyes are closed, a lure.

It works.

Something comes over you. Maybe it’s your instincts, deep ingrained within you knowing death is near because you go lax. Your head lolls on his desk which bares your neck.

Calm.

You feel calm. You’re going to die by being eaten alive, and you’re calm.

At least he’s eating you and not her. He’s eating you, so obviously he wants you and not her. He chose to wait until next month for her, but he’s eating you now.

(Is this what devotion is? You, a mere worshiper, prostrating yourself in front of your god, Melon, hoping for salvation.)

He loves you. (A benevolent god.)

“Thank you for the meal,” you hear before a sharp, searing pain erupts from your neck.

He’s eating you, tasting you. He’s tasting the love and devotion you have for him.

He loves you.

You love him; your blood is going to be inside him, you’ll always be apart of him now. Forever.

You’re fading fast and the last thing you see is Melon looking at you with your blood covering him from his snout down to his shirt. You did that, not her.

But—you reach for him. He doesn’t look happy. Melon’s frowning at you.

Part 1

One could take all the preventions in this world, be cautious all you want but another animal isn't… and you get all caught up in their mess. There is also such a thing as bad luck and a bike accident was just such a thing. It happened so fast, Y/n wasn't able to react to it.

**** The moment the bike hit the concrete wall, I assumed I was dead. The bicycle had flipped so many times that I had become disorientated. I kept waking up, only to become unconscious again. I preferred to be unconscious rather than awake. Because when I was awake I could taste the coppery blood pooling in my mouth. I could feel it grazing my teeth and soaking my tongue. I felt the aching and cracks in my bones. Each crack felt like rocks were burrowing into my skin. I sucked in cramped air, feeling my lungs caving in on themselves. I could hear the sound. It was a noise, mangled metal. I saw the spots in the corners of my vision. Then came a blue flicker, the sound of sirens in the distance.

To say Yafya was panicking, was an understatement. The horse swallowed hard, trying to keep the stoic expression he was known to wear. But from the corner of his eye, Gosha could tell his friend was scared. He was scared of losing someone who had crawled their way into his heart unexpectedly. The ride to the hospital was rather quiet; time seemed to pass in slow motion. Yafya decided to keep his eyes on the road, keeping himself from spiraling. 'What if the last thing he sees is your lifeless body, rotting away in a hospital bed?' 'What if you died, without ever knowing how much he loved you and how you are worthy?' 'What if you leave this world feeling underappreciated, filled with bitterness about all the animals (including him) that took you for granted?' It was clear that the view wasn't helping him at all with his thoughts.

**** Once the nurse greeted them and explained the accident, she let the visitors through Y/N's room, where the little fox was resting. Louis and Legoshi felt bad when they saw Y/N. After their unexpected visit a few months ago, they had become quite close, since there wasn't a big age difference. Haru had also been introduced to Y/N and had hit it off immediately. After a couple of minutes, the only one present was Yafya.

**** It hadn't been long since the accident, and as my aburn eyes open slowly, adjusting to the light of the room, I remembered my near-death experience vividly. I didn't exactly know where I was but from the cold metal bed rails, the soft pillows, and the scent of get-well flowers, I could guess it was a hospital. But what really got my attention was the soft snoring sounds that came from below. Slowly, I turned my gaze to the sleeping horse, sitting next to me on the floor, his hand holding my own. Looking at him, Yafya's pose didn't seem at all comfortable. Despite his young appearance, Yafaya was already in his 50s and it made me worry that his body could possibly hurt later on. Subconsciously, my small hand started caressing his much bigger one. His hand was rough, his nails shorter than mine, but I couldn't care less. My eyes traced over his facial features; loose strands of his black crest falling, covering his eyes. Though my scouting came to an end when the sound of the door opening interrupted my concentration. Panicking, I closed my eyes, pretending to be asleep. The doctor and nurse stepped into the room, waking Yafya in the process. I kept my eyes close. Attentively, I listened to the doctor and the old herbivore talking about me. After asking about personal information and things such as insurance, the nurse replaced my serum and both left the room again. I could feel Yafya's intense gaze on me, but my eyes were kept shut. After a couple of silent seconds, I heard a chair being dragged across the floor, shuffling, and silence again. I tried my best to keep my cover and act unconscious as best as I could. My curiosity slowly betraying me. "I like you," he finally said. "No, I'm not expecting a reaction, I'm just stating the fact that I like you. I've been in major denial for months now, denying these feelings inside my heart but I'm done. I like you. There… it's out in the world." Yafya took a deep breath before continuing, "I like you, and if you don't feel the same, that is okay too. I'm not expecting you to like me back, no one ever does." And I could only wonder how the hell someone could see his face, hear his thoughts, and look at his smile, but not fall in love with him.

Hey, lovely! I need some Riz fluff! I'm in major writers block at the moment and can't write at all. I've had to respond to all my asks in my inbox and tell them I can't write their request. They were all super nice about, thankfully.

Anyway, I just started my garden, and I thought it would be a cute idea to have Riz and reader work on the garden together! Planting stuff, just doing the daily water, even just going and looking at the progrss they've done, and be super proud of it! (I sometimes just go outside and stare at it bc I'm so proud of it, lmao)

It's also not May 15th yet, so it can still frost, which means the garden as a chance of freezing and dying. And Riz comforting reader after their garden died would be very sad but also very good. My garden died last year because of the frost, and I was so sad. And Riz is wonderful at comforting people, so this is just perfect!

(Also, I saw your post about specifying pronouns, I would like he/they/it pronouns! And 3rd or 2nd person works as well! And if you need to know gender, trans!male! Would be appreciated!)

You had went outside to your garden to water your plants, but dropped your watering can when you saw the condition your plants were in.

You rushed over and crouched down onto the soil, taking a closer look. They were covered in ice. You touched one of the petals/leaves with your finger, and it broke right off the stem. You felt tears fill your eyes from the sight.

You did your best to care for these plants, but sadly, the winter had taken them. You got up and rushed inside where you knew your boyfriend Riz was.

“Riz!” You called out for him, your voice a bit shaky as tears flowed down your cheeks. The bear heard your cries and quickly came running for you.

His face became one of concern when he saw you crying, and he slowly walked closer as to not startle you. “What happened, Y/N?” He asked gently, softly pulling you into a hug when he finally reached you. He allowed you to cry in his shirt, not minding that it took you a bit to respond.

“My plants died…” You finally sniffled out after a while, and Riz gave you a sympathetic look. He knew how much you cared about those plants, so he tried to think of a way to comfort you.

Riz crouched down to your level and took your face in his hands, wiping your tears with his thumbs. “Don’t cry, handsome… How about we cuddle for a bit?” He suggested softly, with that adorable smile on his face. You couldn’t help but smile back, and gave a nod of agreement. Riz nodded back and grabbed your hand, leading you to the bedroom you shared with him.

Riz moved the blankets out of the way before climbing into bed, opening his arms for you. You climbed right in, wrapping your arms around his fuzzy figure. He was warm, so you didn’t exactly need a blanket. It was winter though, so maybe a thin one would work.

Once you were both comfy, he held you close and ran his hand up and down your back. There was a comfortable silence for a while, until Riz spoke. “I’m sorry about your plants. We can get new ones when it’s warmer, yeah? We’ll even buy some protection for when winter rolls by again.”

His words caught your attention, and you looked up at him with a smile. “Really?”

“Of course, wouldn’t want them dying again.” You laughed at his kindness and cuddled further into him, stealing his warmth. You didn’t know where you’d be without Riz.
