So there you are, sitting back in your plastic lawn chair on some backwater periphery world, enjoying a beer, when these guys show up. They start talking about the HPG network, the communications relays that link the stars together, and they start going on about some guy named Jerome Blake. Then they get to the good part- Apparently, your phone bill is due, and these guys are here to collect. Don't worry, they say, they offer local plans (demolisher tanks) and long distance plans (artillery.) What's your next move? This was my big project for this last week. I'm in the process of building a full Level III (Battalion) as an interchangeably ComStar / Word of Blake force. In total, It'll probably end up being more like a pair of Level IIIs, with everything I've got planned, but I don't think I have it in me to go for a full Level IV (Division.) Celestials, LAMs and a full Level II composed entirely of Toyamas are on the painting bench waiting to be activated in the name of The Master. This Level III is led by Demi-Precentor Vala Vanagand, a shadowy figure cloaked in mystery, but most of the local operations for this unit are coordinated by Adept Julius Vespasian from the cockpit of his Black Knight in the Level II that is primarily built for brawling / assault roles. Both Vespasian and Vanagand are suspected of being members of the Word of Blake, but they won't be outed for it until the Jihad. Supporting the Brawling Level II are a mixed arms scout / artillery Level II which mixes fast units with Arrow IV carrying mechs. Armor assets are grouped into two demi-company units, one being composed entirely of classic Demolisher Tanks while the other is composed entirely of Demolishers that have been upgraded with three turret-mounted, 30-point racks of Medium Range Missiles. #myminiyourmini An was denkt ihr bei Gold, Minen, Bier, epische Kämpfe, Bärte und dicke Bäuche? Klar, an Zwerge. Heute zeige ich euch die 4 Zwerge aus der "NPC1 Box" von "Zombicide Black Plague". Nachdem Zwerge ja Meisterschmiede sind, habe ich hier viel Wert auf die Rüstung gelegt. Leider sind die Farbgebungen auf den Bildern nicht gut zu sehen. 😅 Auch die Sucht nach Gold habe ich in die Base mit einbezogen. Warum sollte das für Zombiezwerge nicht gelten. 🤣 NPCs sind übrigens besondere Trophäen in "Zombicide". Tötet ein Spieler in einer Runde 5 Stück, bekommt er eine epische Waffe. 🇬🇧 What do you think of when you hear gold, mines, beer, epic battles, beards and big bellies? Sure, to dwarves. Today I show you the 4 dwarves from the "NPC1 Box" from "Zombicide Black Plague". Since dwarves are master smiths, I put a lot of emphasis on armor here. Unfortunately, the colors on the pictures are not easy to see. I also included the search for gold in the base. Why shouldn't that apply to zombie dwarves. 🤣 By the way, NPCs are special trophies in "Zombicide". If a player kills 5 pieces in a round, he gets an epic weapon. I don't know what this guy was originally supposed to be. I found the file on Thingiverse and blew it up 510% to 28mm scale. Judging from the weird title of the file, it's probably 40k related. Anyhow, I decided to paint up this bad boy as some kind of forgotten desert robot, complete with Apple II style monitor/face. Folded Space has worked their board game magic yet again with their new Dune Imperium Folded Space Insert. This insert is designed to fit inside the Dune Imperium base game box and hold all of the pieces from the base game, the Rise of Ix expansion and the Dune Imperium: Deluxe Upgrade Pack from Dire Wolf. I don’t own the Deluxe Upgrade pack, but I do own the base game, the Rise of Ix expansion, and the Immortality expansion (with all of the cards sleeved.) So, with the Dune Imperium Folded Space Insert and a little bit of my own magic, I have been able to fit the entire game into one box. And, I love it! The pictures here will show you each layer inside the box. Layer one is all of the rules manuals. Layer two is the original game board. Layer three shows the three expansion boards. Layer four has player pieces, the majority of the market row cards, the leader cards, conflict cards, water and spice pieces, and other various tokens. Layer five has the starting deck cards, expansion cards, the rest of the player pieces, technology tokens, intrigue cards, Solari pieces, and the rest of the market row cards (the box that holds these has been adjusted from its original specifications to fit these cards.) So the last thing to make sure to mention is that if you own the base game, the deluxe upgrade pack, and both expansions this insert will not be able to hold everything; especially if you have sleeved all of your cards. But that does not make this insert any less amazing. Folded Space continues to make an amazing product allowing board game enthusiasts the ability to get rid of those extraneous expansion boxes, making room on their shelves for the next amazing game they decide to purchase.
