Eddie Munson is an ass man
Tumblr media
Masterlist
Eddie Munson is an ass man
Ok so I am convinced this guy is an ass man, not just in the sense he likes looking at it/grabbing it
Anal is eddies favourite kind of sex, if it’s not something you’re into its not a deal breaker but if you’re up for it he'll go as far with it as you let him
He enjoys eating your ass as much as fucking it, he loves having you sit on his face
You’d think his favourite position is doggy because of his love of all things ass but he actually doesn’t like to have sex in any position he cant see your face
He’s decided the best of both words is doggy in front of his mirror
If you're into or willing to try denial Eddie is happy to kind of ignore your pussy because your ass is just so hot
Part of the reason he enjoys anal is he can come in you without worrying and keep it there
Even when he fucks your pussy he finishes in your ass
Eddie likes making you cum though, he enjoys knowing you feel good so I can see him training you to cum from anal
Using a vibe and his fingers to get you off while he's inside you, so you associate him fucking your ass with intense orgasms
Specifically picking angles that still hit your g-spot
He likes to convince you to wear skirts without underwear whenever he can as well, gives him better access to your ass
And even if you’re wearing something with more coverage he is grabbing your ass any chance he gets
He initially convinces you to start wearing a plug in public as a trade off, he wont grab your ass in public whenever you have the plug in
That doesn’t hold up very long but by then you’re kind of used to the plug and enjoy wearing It for him
He goes out of his way to get you a black and red one, something cute to help convince you initially
He ends up with a reasonably big collection of plugs for you eventually, he matches them to your outfits
Eddie likes the idea of keeping you plugged so he can fuck you whenever he feels like it
His dick is thick enough that prepping you properly means you gape a little when the plug is taken out
Eddie uses the plug to his full advantage
Being a brat while you and Eddie are out?  his hand is reaching up your skirt to fuck you with the plug and remind you who you belong to
Someone on the basketball team flirts with you? Eddie gets possessive and has you cheer with his cum plugged in your ass the next day
Eddie’s a bit of a sadist as well, he likes to watch you panic and squirm a little
So occasionally when you’re out shopping at the mall he'll pull the plug out knowing that you're too gaped to stop the cum dripping down your legs
He likes watching the way you react when you feel it dripping out despite your best efforts
He’s nice enough to offer the plug back once it’s just becoming visible past the line of your skirt, he doesn’t want to embarrass his girl too much
He will make you earn the plug back though, generally he gives you a few options to pick between
eating the cum that's dripped onto your legs so that you’re nice and clean for the plug to go back in
Letting him fuck you in a secluded bathroom so you're nice and full again
Spanks so your ass is all pretty and red to match the gem on the plug
Eddie loves spanking with the plug in, watching you clench around it and moan
And it turns your ass suck pretty colours too, sometimes he'll leave hickeys as well so there's some really pretty bruises
He’s got a polaroid of it in his wallet
I feel like eventually he convinces you to get a little tattoo on your ass so there’s a more permanent mark
Little cursive lines that say something along the lines of eddies little anal whore
He teases you about it all the time once you have it especially if you’re bratty
Be bends your head back so you can see it in the mirror when you fuck
Sometimes if you've been a real brat I can see him upping the plug size to something barely reasonable
It stings a little but he doesn’t do anything about it unless you safe word
Because naughty girls need reminders that they are toys for his entertainment so if he wants to see you stretched out and whiny then that's what happens
If you’re really willing to let Eddie push your limits, I can see him inviting Steve to try double anal penetration
He’s thinner so its not a terrible stretch but he's a bit longer
They go a few rounds so by the time eddies putting the plug back in its barely containing the cum that wants to drip out of your abused little hole
You're so sensitive that you cum when he pushes it in

Sanji and Usopp during The Sabaody Incident™ won't leave my mind.
Usopp standing in front of Sanji protectively because he is wounded and he can't fight, so Usopp will do it for him ("I'll do what you can't do").
Tumblr media
There is just something about Sanji's expression when he realizes he might actually lose Usopp. This is my interpretation, at least. He is literally frightened.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Usopp helping Sanji stand up to run away. This is crucial for something I want to point out later: Sanji needs help to stand up. (Also, Brook disappears trying to protect them both and saying he will do anything to save them even if it costs him his life. I am feeling sick).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sanji being self-sacrificing and blaming himself for not being able to protect them/act sooner is not new. But he does manage to gain the strength to fight when Usopp is the only one left with him and the possibility of losing him is even more real now.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The thing that I love the most about this is not Sanji sacrificing himself for Usopp, because he does that. He is like that. But Usopp not running away or moving in the slightest because he refuses to leave Sanji on his own.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Something I'd like to point out too is that Sanji actually touches Kuma before Usopp disappears. He tries to fight and protect him and Kuma could've easily sent Sanji to Momoiro Island right away, and yet Sanji was just sent flying far from the scene and forced to see Usopp disappear in front of him.
And I am not saying that "not being able to protect both Brook and Usopp (especially Usopp) is needed for Sanji to realize he has to become stronger and find more reasons to go back with the crew" but not being able to protect both Brook and Usopp (especially Usopp) is needed for Sanji to realize he has to become stronger and find more reasons to go back with the crew.
Not to mention that we can't deny (right after Water 7/Enies Lobby) that Usopp is one of Sanji's strongest bonds within the crew. This specific scene focusing on them both is more than enough to prove it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sanji seeing Usopp disappear in front of his eyes without being able to do anything to save him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Remember what I said about Sanji needing help to stand up seconds ago? Well. This is him the moment Usopp disappears. What adrenaline and the power of love do to a mf.
Tumblr media
They are so "I can lose everything, but not you. Oh God, not you" shaped.

the funniest bit in one piece that's not even funny on purpose is when oda goes out of his way to emphasize over and over again that a woman who is about to appear is without a doubt the most beautiful woman in the world without equal and then they show her and she looks exactly like every other one piece woman

Dumb deities au concept
Someone comes up with the brilliant idea to put Jake and/or Brooke in charge of some social media content, especially around this new exhibition
The problem?
Brooke has almost zero idea how to even work a phone properly and Jake doesn't understand social media
It becomes clear very quickly after watching Brooke and Jake attempt to make videos that maybe the 'youngest' out of them are not actually the best option

MOON GOD USOPP FORM?!??
What happens when Usopp realizes he’s the reincarnated moon god? Dose he get a cool form or something?
Anon Just So You Know I've been thinking abt this for 2 days and the answer involves a whole new arc between Wano and Egghead and I blame you--
So, post-recovery, news just came in abt Vivi's dissapearance and the crew is a bit antsy. They're following the log pose (which is acting strange, kind of like on Jaya) on a low-wind day, enjoying the small amount of piece they can scrounge in the new world when ripples start forming in the water. The whole crew panics, thinking it's a giant whale about to eat them (Brook gets a little excited it might be Laboon) but then the Sunny starts being lifted, starts shaking like an earthquake, and the crew watches as an island rises from the sea all around them.
The island looks like a colourful swamp, covered in trees and coral, and a lot of wild den den mushis that seem to be able to breathe air and water. Usopp is immediately snail catching because water snails give him so many ideas, Luffy goes with him because Luffy's been strangely clingy lately, and Sanji seems distracted, but other than that, the crew sets off exploring. It's nice, getting back into a routine they started when it was just Luffy, Nami and Zoro. They go in pairs: Luffy and Usopp, Sanji and Robin, Nami and Jimbe, Zoro and Chopper, Brook and Franky
Then Robin finds a hatch, very rusty, but still solid. Sanji kicks it open before Robin can even properly inspect it, and a dozen sets of eyes meet theirs.
It turned out, since the island had a habit of dissapearing under the sea for a week every few days, the entire human population of that island had to hide in an underground bunker. They said it took three months to reset the log pose, which was annoying but not unreasonable - much better than little garden, they could survive three months stationary. The people, however, were a problem.
The underground bunker was large, but not nearly large enough, seventy, maybe eighty people were living in a bunker made for a single rich family. Dermatitis, lice, flu, Chopper jumped right in, Sanji right next to him making food out of everything they could fish up or forage.
Then Robin found a mural in the bunker - a laughing man shrouded in white flame. And she started investigating, with Nami. Franky was busy trying to expand the bunker, and Brook was entertaining the children.

Some Eddie x cheer manager!reader headcanons because people gave me attention and I’m incapable of shutting up
Masterlist
So first off I imagine the Hawkins cheer squad in this universe is actually super friendly, people just tend to think they’re stuck up because they stick to themselves a lot (they’re actually just super close knit and love spending time with each other) and because they’re associated with the basketball team who can be pretty dickish
Reader isn’t actually on the cheer squad but the other girls don’t consider her any less of a team member, they’ve tried to convince her to actually try out for years but she’s a little worried about not fitting any of the uniforms and having to wear it in front of everybody
Reader is a thick queen and while she’s a baddie I think outwardly she comes across as very dorky, like she’s a metal head and on weekends her outfits tend to skew a little more punky but when she’s out she dresses a little more typical because she doesn’t like to draw attention
So when she let’s slip that she has a crush on Eddie at one of the groups big team sleepovers the squad totally sees the potential because they actually have a heap in common even though none of them really understand her attraction to him
Those girls are supportive so they immediately tell her to ask him out because reader is totally a catch and he’d be lucky to date her
Reader is not on board with that idea because not only does approaching him sound terrifying, but she’s not sure she wants to date him
Because even though she thinks Eddie is adorable and she likes so many other things about him, she’s heard the rants he gives in the cafeteria about how pointless sports are and she will not date someone who degrades her interests and her friends that way!
But the cheer squad is already sold on Eddie and reader being the world’s most adorable couple so its decided, the team will just find a way to show Eddie that sports can be worthwhile and then he can date reader
The team decides that a cheer routine to music Eddie is into might be a good way to open his eyes
They choreography something to thunderstruck by ACDC and the routine includes reader and she has a solo which is as close to giving Eddie a lap dance as would be acceptable for a school event
The cheer squad convinces the principal to hold a talent show so they know he’ll actually attend
Reader is on the committee that sets up the talent show so she places the seats for other participants in a place that allows them to involve Eddie in the routine easily (because the moment its announced he signs up corroded coffin)
Robin is also on the talent show committee and reader ends up involved in the full shenanigans of season 4, but that is a separate set of head canons
The cheers squad spends most of the time before their performance giving reader a pep talk after they get her into the uniform because yea it’s a little tighter on her chest and it squishes into her waist a little but she still looks hot and Eddie is going to die when he sees her and they won’t let reader think any different
Eddie is absolutely starstruck when reader and the team do their routine, because reader is right in front of him on stage and she’s so pretty, and he could’ve sworn she just winked at him
Eddies band performs before the cheer squad thankfully because he’d probably be too distracted to perform after them - and if Eddie spends the rest of the talent show with his guitar pointedly covering his lap the rest of the band is polite enough to not call him out on it till they all pile into his van that afternoon
While the cheer teams plan had the desired effect of making Eddie less critical of cheerleading it doesn’t actually get them much closer to having reader on a date with Eddie
Because she’s still too embarrassed to ask him out, especially if he didn’t pick up on a hint like her cheering to ACDC for him
But Eddie is completely convinced reader is out of his league and there’s no way he could possibly ask her out
So the team has another sleepover and goes back to the drawing board because they saw his reactions and they will get these two hopeless little dorks together

Just thinking about the fact Sora died because of the poison she drink to save her kids, because she is gentle and kind. And her only son who the desesperate act work is as kind as her.
But the StrawHats don't know she did that, this is something he don't have the courage to tell. And they know even less that Sanji is ready to do the same.
He isn't pround of that, but he ends up discovering the poison she drink and even have the recipe of how to do it. Because the germa soldiers teached them this and others poisons.
And this little fact is like a silent threat, a thing that if the crew discovers this, would be attentive about anything he drinks until they're certainly he's not gonna do the same thing his mother did.
And when the StrawHats learn about this fact, the exactly thing he expected happens, he notice Chopper and Robin always near the kitchen with the excuse of how's there was calmer, Nami and Usopp start to do his drinks for him or always are looking him while he's doing it, the others does things too. And Sanji notices all of this.
It's needed months to calm the crew, but still after they stop, all of them always have this fear in the back of they're minds (Luffy even goes as far as asking Law to do a check up on Sanji the next time they meet), that he will do this, but they want to believe he will not. They really want to.
(Just a thought that come to my mind yesterday, and I wanted to share, y'know? Based on some headcanons)
Oh, damn. This honestly hits close to home and it's really interesting so I wanna talk about it. But, you know, it's a serious topic so:
TW // Suicide, poison, self-harm, depression, etc etc you know the drill about Sanji and his issues. I don't go deep, tho, so It's not THAT explicit but could be triggering.
I think that after WCI and Wano, they'd all be worried. Sanji has always been pretty self-sacrificing with everyone and he doesn't value his life in the slightest. He doesn't show signs at first of being actively suicidal but the way he treats his own life makes it clear that he gets into self-sabotaging situations to the point of it being considered self-harm or even passive suicidal behavior. He just- Doesn't care about dying because he puts others first all the time. He has been doing that forever and Skypiea is just one of the times he does that. But, y'know, they never notice that. At least not everyone. I think Zoro is the first to know because of Thriller Bark, honestly. That's one of the biggest signs imo. But then they're separated and it's not like they can talk about it. Then two years happen and uh, shit goes downhill after that because WCI is just utterly traumatizing for Sanji and Wano makes everything worse to the point of asking Zoro to kill him if he loses himself. And we always say that's really gay (because it is) but we ignore the whole point of Sanji genuinely asking somebody to kill him without any fucking hesitation. And he spends all of Wano having the biggest crisis of his life wondering if he's human enough or worthy of being in the crew and???? What the actual fuck. Anyway, I think the crew ends up finding out about everything and I don't believe Sanji is well mentally after all of this. I know they don't write it like this because things are happening and they have to go to Egghead, but I think Sanji would end up really fucked up after WCI and Wano to the point of being worrisome.
If they do find out about the poison thing and Sanj's suicidal thoughts (honestly, I don't know how they would even find out about it unless Reiju tells them or Sanji snaps and yells about that, but, y'know. The point is that they know and Sanji is getting worse) I think you're completely right and they'd be all over him. Because that's exactly what happens when somebody acts this way. They look after him to a suffocating extent and watch his steps. They take turns to watch him. They prepare his drinks. They even make up something so he doesn't have to be on night watch so he can sleep, because he's probably not sleeping either. Or eating well, for that matter, which is what makes them all worry even more in the first place.
And hear me out, because I think he would try to do it. Like- Commit, I mean. Not gonna get into the topic too deep but I think he'd try and I think it wouldn't work because somebody would help him right away and I think he'd try to play it off as a mistake and a misunderstanding, but everyone would know. And he'd just try to ignore their pep talks and interventions.
This is projecting from personal experience and everyone goes through these things differently, but God, I think he'd fucking hate it if they looked after him. Because he knows he won't do it again. At least he doesn't want to do it again. But everybody keeps looking after him like he's about to break at any moment and it's so damn annoying to not have any type of privacy because they think he's gonna off himself the second he's alone. And he gets why they're doing it and appreciates their efforts to look after him, but acting this way is not the answer to his problems. It's just asphyxiating and it isn't helping him get better. You know how the crew is, they're NOT subtle and careful with anything and they're just-- They have good intentions but it's suffocating and he can't handle it anymore.
And I think he'd snap. I actually want to write a fic about this if you let me use your idea (I will credit you, ofc) because I think it'd be great to make him snap at Nami, specifically, and then regret it completely.
Long story short because this is getting long: I think Brook and Robin would end up talking things out with him because they're the ones who understand him the most in this situation. He'd apologize to Nami but also everyone else would apologize too for acting this way, they were just worried and wanted to look after him. I think, after this, the only ones watching Sanji would be Brook and Robin and they'd do it carefully, supporting him and helping him get better. And the whole crew would be next to him along the way but doing it with less assertiveness and just gentler.
I think the concept of Sanji thinking about death so often is great because it adds depth to his character and it's not a crazy thought. I think it's pretty damn canon, actually. At least him being careless about his own life.

I’m so SICK Brooke was worried about Lucas and Peyton being a thing after he cheated on her with her best friend and then they go and kiss AGAIN and hide it from her AGAIN 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡
And to juxtapose it with them (Brooke and Lucas) “learning to trust each other again” and all through that time intertwining Lucas and Peyton moments like. Be fr 😭💀 It could have worked better narratively (imo) if they would have separated them but by doing this it felt (to me personally!) that Brooke and Lucas were never that serious to begin with because their growth was always one step forward and three steps back.
#sumn about doing the baddest bitch on the show wrong don’t sit right w/ me#especially with how they never let brooke and lucas stand on their own literally every other episode they had lucas and peyton like…#respectfully brucas never stood a chance it was so unserious#and to have peyton go lucas-jake-pete-jake-lucas like 😭😭😭😭😭😭#NOT TO MENTION: all they literally had to do was tell the truth. i get peyton thought she was going to die but AFTER?#she AND lucas had all the time in the world to tell brooke and neither of them said shit#i can’t blame her for not trusting them because they literally did the same shit twice 💀🤡#anyways it just got on my nerves that brooke and lucas could never have their own moment without peyton coming up and needing lucas#i think they set lucas and peyton up to be soulmates which is fine but they didn’t have to throw brooke through hoops to do it#OR make her and lucas the ‘even though we aren’t technically perfectly suited I still choose you and i keep choosing you’ couple#anyways free brooke PLEASE abeg let peyton continue her development and lucas develop further and THEN bring leyton thx#somebody tell me does brooke actually get her happily ever after and prince charming like she deserves though AT LEAST TELL ME YES OR NO#BLINK TWICE I’LL TAKE ANYTHING#brooke davis#brucas#one tree hill#oth#k watches#now do i agree with brooke being all controlling? no. but i understand why she didn’t want them together at least in the beginning.#plus she said that they went days without meaningful conversations but every conversation he has with peyton is meaningful.#even when brooke was going through it lucas was with peyton#brucas was just so unserious 😭 in theory they made sense but my point is they didn’t have to do her like that to set up leyton endgame#lucas scott#peyton sawyer#to be clear this is NOT anti leyton but it IS pro brooke#k chats

Twilight
Twilight/Sunset.
Final book of the Warriors, New Prophecy human AU. I know the final book is Sunset but I felt I but together the events of both books.
For the final book everyone gets a POV. Leafpool, Crowfeather, Brambleclaw, Squirrelflight and Stormfur.
A small cat is told by Starclan that she will not survive an attack on her camp but because she is loyal she will be warned about her death.
Brambleclaw is angry at Tallstar because as he is watching Onewhisker tell Windclan what Tallstar told them moments before his death. Bramblecalw wonders what Tallstar was thinking and he remembers the time that he almost drowned just before they met Midnight. He remembers struggling for his life and how nothing had been clear in his head. While he may not have felt what Tallstar did he thinks that he might have not had the clearest head given that he was fighting sickness and infection.
He voices these thoughts to Hawkfrost and he agrees. Hawkfrost says that he feels bad for Mudclaw, because if he was in that situation where he was deputy and it got stolen away from him. He would be angry.
Brambleclaw believes that even though he thinks Mudclaw is a bit abrasive given what he heard from Crowpaw having to train with him. Mudclaw still deserves to know what his leader's final words were. So on the way down from the city to the lake, he and Hawkfrost tell him everything. Mudclaw is conflicted by this.
Brambleclaw begins to believe that Mudclaw has changed. He is on patrol with Hawkfrost, Mudclaw, Onewhisker and two shadowclan warriors he didn't know when a dragon ambushed them, Onewhisker is pinned down by the dragon but Mudclaw is there to stab it in the back.
Hawkfrost comments that Onewhisker is weak. But Brambleclaw is offended on his behalf.
Squirrelflight, after avoiding Brambleclaw since they left the mountain camp for the city, confesses to him. He confesses his own feelings. He says that he thinks that she is pretty amazing, talented and beautiful. But neither of them know where to go from here. So they agree to keep acting like they did when they were friends but kiss sometimes.
Squirrelflight alludes to Hawkfrost giving her the "if you mess with my brother kill you" speech.
When he next sees his brother he thanks him. He would never picture Tawnypelt doing that for him even though when she started dating Rowanclaw he was nervous for her but the only person that he could think of that would care enough about him to say that would be Squirrelflight.
Brambleclaw did have a friend in Thunderclan when he was younger, Ashpaw being almost as age but when Ashpaw became Ashfur they stopped hanging. And though he had an adversarial relationship with Squirrelpaw she was still the only real person in Thunderclan that would look out for him. Beside of course Firestar and Goldenflower.
Hawkfrost and him talk about the siblings. Brambleclaw asks about Mothwing and Hawkfrost admits that he was cruel to her once but is trying to understand who she really is. And while he respects her skill he knows her well enough that he feels she could be doing better.
Brambleclaw says he misses Tawnypelt but when she went to Shadowclan he feels like she never looked back. And after the journey had finished she went straight back to how things used to be that really upset him. Hawkfrost says that won't happen to them, he promises to meet with Brambleclaw every gathering and exchange letters even when they find the new territory.
And when they do find a new territory, Hawkfrost and him find the island. They walk along the island and plan Riverclan camp.
When the clans settle Hawkfrost writes a letter to Bramble. He sneaks out of Squirrelflight's tent and meets Hawkfrost on WC territory. Hawkfrost introduces Brambleclaw to Mudclaw and his loyalists and asks Brambleclaw to tell them exactly what Tallstar said.
Brambleclaw is trying to sneak back to camp when he is caught by Firestar. He is honest with Firestar not about Mudclaw but about meeting with his brother. Firestar doesn't approve doesn't want to stop Brambleclaw from seeing his family. He says that Bramble is unique having his family spread out over so many clans he tells him that he can keep seeing them as long as he gets better at sneaking out.
Brambleclaw is ready for the battle, he confirms with Mudclaw that no one has to die, they only need Onewhisker to give power back to Mudclaw. The battle begins and Brambleclaw is a bit nervous how violent it is quickly becoming. When he fights he tries to disarm instead of kill but he knows the Onewhisker loyalists are probably fighting for their lives.
However he stopped in his tracks when he saw one of Mudclaw's warriors seriously injure Crowfeather. Brambleclaw is in shock even more so when Mudclaw tries to kill Onewhisker. He quickly intervenes, Mudclaw is a strong senior warrior and he is not willing to miss his chance and Brambleclaw is not as strong.
But Thunderclan attacks and the tides of the battle were quickly turned. Mudclaw calls a retreat and Brambleclaw runs with them. However as soon as they are away from the battle Mudclaw blames Brambleclaw for Thunderclan being alerted to their plan. Decides to deal with the traitor.
Squirrelflight joins the battle against the Mudclaw loyalists. As the warriors dispersed she runs into Hawkfrost, apparently in a frenzy he demands Squirrelflight tell him where his brother is. Before she can answer him he turns his blade on her.
Squirrelflight explains that she doesn't know where his brother is and they both go looking for him. Following the retreating faction.
The two of them raced down to the shores of the lake. There they find Mudclaw surrounded by his loyalists as he attempts to drown Brambleclaw. And though there are only two of them, Hawkfrost immediately leaps into battle to protect his brother. Reedwhisker is there and takes Hawkfrost's side.
Squirrelflight fights to the best of her abilities but the three of them are outnumbered but despite this Hawkfrost is fighting with a brutality that she has never seen before.
Hawkfrost leaps at Mudclaw and gets him off Brambleclaw. Squirrelflight drags him to shore and Mudclaw runs. Hawkfrost pursues him but as his running lightning strikes, casting a tree down from the island offshore.
It kills Mudclaw.
Squirrelflight manages to get Brambleclaw breathing slowly. But barely awake. Hawkfrost marches back to them and demands to know why Reedwhisker let Mudclaw do that to his brother. Reedwhisker tries to explain that he tried to stop Mudclaw but before he can get many words out Hawkfrost is on top of him and punching him until he is bloody and stops moving.
Squirrelflight is horrified.
When Brambleclaw wakes up he is in Thunderclan he is in a cove cave that got converted into the new medic den. Bramble notices Leafpool crying slightly as he comes to ask what's wrong and she dismisses him.
Brambleclaw is yelled at by a furious Firestar, he tries to explain his side of the story but Firestar easily explains how what he was doing could have easily gotten him and Onewhisker killed. Brambleclaw says that he was promised by Mudclaw that nobody would be seriously harmed and that he was just doing what he thought was right.
Firestar bans him from seeing Hawkfrost for two moons.
Brambleclaw is devastated. He goes to seek comfort from Squirrelflight about this but she is completely unsympathetic, she tells Brambleclaw how violent and uncontrollable Hawkfrost was. But Brambleclaw defends him because Hawkfrost saved his life. Squirrelflight points out that Hawk is the one who got him into that situation where his life was in danger again.
Brambleclaw accuses her of hating Hawkfrost because he spends time away from her when he is with him and she doesn't like that. So she unreasonably hates his brother. Or maybe it’s that she hates him because is another son of Tigerstar.
Squirrelflight accuses him of being insecure and making things up. And Brambleclaw insecurely breaks up with her.
Brambleclaw has to stay in camp for two moons and he is absolutely miserable.
Things have settled down slightly in Windclan. Until Onewhisker became Onestar Thunderclan had to guard against Mudclaw loyalists. And eventually the people who sided with Mudclaw came back to WIndclan; they are only allowed to back in after swearing loyalty to the true leader.
Crowfeather was recovering from his wounds the whole time and writing letters to Leafpool. Though he hasn't got any back.
It's a joint effort between Windclan and Riverclan to make a bridge from the tree that had fallen and killed Mudclaw. And another moon before it is ready to cross. Messages are passed between the leaders and it is agreed that this would be the new gathering place.
Squirrelflight is a part of the first group representing Thunderclan to go to this gathering. On the way they are however Thunderclan joins up with Windclan and she notices that tensions are not recovered. She hears a few warriors in front of her talking about how Onestar and Friestar are walking very close together. And they're wondering if Onestar is spilling all of his clan secrets to his friend.
Squirrelflight challenges them but is told by those same warriors to leave Windclan alone.
Before they can make it to the gathering spot however they are interrupted, there is a group of three people, one man and two women, one heavily pregnant. And lots and lots of horses.
After some questioning, the tom introduces himself as Smoky and introduces his "companions" for them. Floss and Daisy are offended that Smoky is speaking for them but Smoky goes on to challenge the clans. He is a horse breeder and the lake is where he takes them in the summer months. So if the clans don't want to trade with him the better get out of his way before he kills them all.
Onestar and Firestar do not rise to this but both of them suggest that Smoky and his companions come with them to the gathering because there are many more clan cats that might be willing to trade with him.
Smoky decides to go with them and tosses his things to Daisy and Floss without saying another word. Squirrelflight feels kinda bad for them.
They have to wait outside of the island while everybody goes on to it. She is one of the last across the bridge and talks to Daisy and Floss. Floss is not willing to give her the time of day but Daisy tells her that they are fine and that she is fine and she even introduces Squirrelflight to a baby she has. She introduces her to a tiny baby called Berry, that she was keeping hidden under her clothes.
Floss comments that it's a stupid name for a baby and Daisy laughs that off. Squirrelflight calls Floss a choice name and walks across the bridge to the gathering.
The gathering is pretty uneventful but Thunderclan comes away with it with a few new rides, small horse-like elk and a few woolly goats.
Leafpool has thought a lot about what Crowfeather offered her. She realises that she has deep and true feelings for him and does spend a lot of time while she's been punished. Much like Brambleclaw by not being allowed to leave the cove.
She had a strange dream though, the sun sinking beneath the lake and from the red water rising a body. She works out and turns it over and sees Spottedleaf who rises. She says: “before there is peace blood will spill blood.”
She is shaken by this but decides to bring him up with Cinderpelt later.
Brambleclaw is furious he still has not been allowed out of camp, and now he has to work round the clock for the new animals that Thunderclan purchased. Squirrelflight tries to talk to him but he refuses her.
Goldenflower is helping him and they are doing a pretty good job making stables and getting the animal settled. Brambleclaw begins to ask her about if she saw Hawkfrost or Tawnypelt. But at the mention of her daughter's name she acts strangely. Goldenflower looks around and realises that Tawnykit isn't with them when she swore she saw her earlier this morning.
Brambleclaw is concerned. He brings Goldenflower to Cinderpelt and she is able to help Goldenflower come back to herself. She apologises for scaring Brambleclaw so he grabs food for them both.
He lets Goldenflower talk about things she remembers from the old forest. There is a moment where before Brokenstar came to power in the old forest that Thunderclan had a rich amount of livestock. But unfortunately illness took them out.
Inadvertently she ends up talking about his father, she says that she was determined to get livestock back, and one day there was a cow that was struggling to give birth. Tigerclaw had been the only one around that was able to help her, and he was not pleased with having to help a cow pass a calf, she stopped herself. Before she goes any further.
Goldenflower says that she did see Hawkfrost and that he asked how Brambleclaw was doing. She says that she envies him because he never had to know Brambleclaw's father.
When the two moons are up Brambleclaw is allowed out of the camp but only on patrols with Firestar in them. Brambleclaw just feels like an apprentice again. But is able to find peace when he is hanging out with his mother and training the new animals.
The horse-elk can also be shaved like sheep can. And he is sharing the animals when there is a sudden commotion. A patrol is demanding help because there is a badgerbear den that they found on their territory. It's a bear with her kits and if they don't strike now it could be a problem for them later.
Brambleclaw is part of the patrol that is able to kill the badgerbear mother. They decide to keep one of the kits as a clan pet.
A moon later Brambleclaw is hanging out in camp, reading a letter from Hawkfrost (now Firestar is letting him read the letters Hawkfrost sends him). Hawkfrost wants to meet again as soon as possible but Brambleclaw is unsure will be able to so he writes back to. Brambleclaw notices that Whitekit is playing with Birchkit. He is up and walking now and can't really talk.
Brambleclaw senses later than joins them. Whitekit explains that she is trying to teach Brichkit some battle moves. Brambleclaw comments that he is a bit young to learn that stuff. So he takes them to see the animals and his newly renovated stable. He shows the kids how to brush the animals, and after they beg him to, he lets them ride around camp on the back of one of the horse-elks.
Whitekit tells him about how she always wanted to ride the dragons in the tribe but no one would let her. Brambleclaw tells her that he has been on the back of a dragon and Whitekit begins to scream about the unfairness of it all. So Brambleclaw jumps on the back of the elk, he holds on to Whitekit and Birchkit tightly and makes the elk run out of camp and into the forest. Whitekit has the time of her life. Birchkit isn't too bothered by the whole experience.
Brambleclaw wants to be a mentor. He goes to Firestar to ask about being a mentor when he is stopped by Squirrelflight. She is also going to see her father so Brambleclaw just turns around to find something else to do.
A few days later he gets a letter back from Hawkfrost. He is mad at Brambleclaw for not even trying to meet up with him. Brambleclaw quickly writes a letter back that he will try to meet up with him next time he can.
Spiderpaw becomes Spiderleg.
Leafpool has a dream, Firestar is by the lake brambles grow out from his chest and surround him. Though he seems indifferent. She tells her father this. He seems concerned but also intrigued; they both wonder if this is a sign from Starclan about Brambleclaw. Leafpool doesn't trust him especially after seeing him in Windclan camp the same night she was and the fact that he is fighting Squirrelflight.
Sorreltail visits the medic's den. She is ready to start a family with Brackenfur, while Cinderpelt is discussing with her herb she can use to help get pregnant she excitedly talks to Leafpool about baby names and little baby clothes. The conversation makes Leafpool feel sick.
She steps out in walks across camp to the cove shore. Still feeling a bit ill she dips her feet in the waves and Brambleclaw joins her. He stays far away from water though. He asks if she's okay. Leafpool says that she is fine and she asks how his mother is doing.
Brambleclaw says that luckily nothing else concerning has happened. She has been keeping busy taking care of the animals and fixing up the camp. He's actually been helping her put together a union celebration for Sorreltail and Brackenfur. (It's a clan tradition kind of like a wedding but it's just a party to celebrate people in a relationship committing to each other). Sorreltail and Brackenfur decided to commit to each other when they decided to have children together.
Brambleclaw sneaks out during the Sorreltail and Brackenfur's party. He meets Hawkfrost on Shadowclan territory. Hawkfrost is mad at him. Brambleclaw started to excuse himself. He was in camp, he was being watched, etc. Hawkfrost attacks him, they wrestle and Brambleclaw manages to fight him off. Hawkfrost laughs and says that he was just testing his skills, since he has been lazing around camp all day.
They agree to meet up again soon.
Leafpool is finally allowed back at the Moonpool. Mothwing is very happy to see her again and wonders why Leafpool was banned from the Moonpool and Gatherings. Leafpool doesn't tell her the truth.
Leafpool doesn't go to sleep to dream with Starclan, instead she sits up because she hears someone calling her name. Crowfeather has snuck out to see her. He offers again for them to run away and this Leafpool thinks back to Sorreltail, her talking about Brackenfur and babies. She looks back to the Medic's around the moonpool. She loves being a medic but also loves Crowfeather and she knows that she can't be those two things at the same time.
Leafpool agrees to run away with him.
Crowfeather writes a note to his mother explaining that he fell in love with somebody while running away. He is the happiest he's ever been and he thinks she's gonna be a great leader one day. He tells her not to miss him because he's happy.
As Crowfeather is packing his things to leave, Barkface catches him again. But this time he is much less supportive. He knows what's going on between him and Leafpool. He calls into question Crowfeather's motivations and she is worried that he is doing this for himself and not considering Leafpool's feelings.
Crowfeather wants to start a family with her and the clients won't let him do so he is doing what makes him happy. And points out that Leafpool leaving wouldn't be leaving with him if she didn't want that to.
Squirrelflight is looking for Leafpool. She can't find her anywhere. Cinderpelt tells her about Crowfeather. Squirrelflight immediately travels over to Windclan in search of Crowfeather. Barkface leaves a letter that Crowfeather said was Leafpool.
Leafpool tells Squirrelflight all the things that she loves about her, her father, her mother and her time living at Thunderclan. But she found love and she can't have those things at the same time because Starclan forbids it.  She wants to have a family like they have made. So she's leaving. She promises to come back one day to visit her.
Brambleclaw is out on patrol. He is with Ashfur and Thornclaw, and their following tracks of another badgerbear. They wonder if keeping the one kit alive is attracting more. Brambleclaw jokes about taming it and riding it into battle. When suddenly they are interrupted. They see a dragon landing nearby. Ashfur and Thornclaw suggest tactically sneaking up on it but Brambleclaw just walks up to it suspecting and then seeing that it is Brook's dragon Tiger-Iron. Brook and Stormfur are camping nearby.
Brambleclaw leads them back to camp. Stormfur explains that they're going to stay with the clans for a while. He is a bit cagey when Brambleclaw asks for how long. But they spend the night in Thunderclan, Brambleclaw catches up with his friends in the morning before they fly on to Riverclan.
Brambleclaw and Goldenflower what's the purpose of keeping the badgerbear kit. But they feed it and clean up after it. Brambleclaw suggests trying to teach it cat language. And from that day they try their best to teach the kit words.
The next gathering, Squirrelflight notices Smoky is there again trying to sell more of the stock and eventually a Shadowclan warrior comes up to and accuses him of scamming. He was supposed to be sold a pregnant pig but what you got was a fat boar.
Smoky blames the warrior for not seeing through the trick. And he is asked to leave by a large group of warriors.
Shadowclan reports having to fight with a large badgerbear. They successfully drove it out of their territory but they have been seeing signs of more bears.
Squirrelflight is asked to send Brambleclaw to Firestar. She finds in the stables with the bear. The kit is beginning to learn some words: "want", "food" and "I". Squirrelflight and Brambleclaw suggest naming it Sunset in honour of Midnight. They both agree it's kind of strange to keep the kit but because the mother was killed the only other option is letting them loose in the forest.
Brambleclaw is given a letter that Firestar tells him is from Hawkfrost. There is a shark in the lake and Hawkfrost is asking for his brother's help in hunting down and killing it.
Firestar says that it is up to Brambleclaw for what he wants to do.
Brambleclaw wants to help. And leaves for Riverclan.
Squirrelflight is patrolling near Windclan. When a horse is chased across the border. Windclan warriors are in hot pursuit, led by Onestar. On the horse is Floss and Daisy. Onestar spits at them and tells them never to cross Windclan territory. Squirrelflight and the other Thunderclan cats stand up for them and Onestar himself calls them too soft and weak to be outsiders to the clan.
Squirrelflight is shocked but she is distracted because on the horse Daisy is clearly in a lot of pain. They rush her back to camp and to Cinderpelt. Daisy asks for Squirrelflight to stay with her and she does. According to her she has been in labour for two days and Floss eventually took her to the clans to be looked at at least. Cinderpelt is horrified.
She knocks Daisy out and performs an emergency c-section with the help of the other queens. Hazelkit and Mousekit are born. Alive but weak. Squirrelflight stays with Daisy until she comes around. Floss is worried that Smoky is going to leave without them. But Daisy needs rest. Squirrelflight tells her as much but Floss calls her lazy and Squirrelflight is about to yell at her when Daisy yells at Floss herself.
According to Cinderpelt she could have died. And Floss did nothing until Daisy was begging for help. So they can leave without her. Floss tries to get Daisy to come with them. Saying that Smoky will be so lonely without her and his kid- Barry or was his name Bear. Daisy tells her to get out and Squirrelflight gladly shows her the door.
Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost are hunting the shark. He thinks that it swam upstream from the ocean and came to the lake for a reason. It is huge and there are plenty of fish. But Starclan blessed the clan with him and his brother because they can hunt down the beast before it hurts anybody.
Hawkfrost tells him that he was watching Willowkit and her friend Minnowkit swim when he saw the fin and pulled them out of the water. The shark wasn’t around for a few days but he was able to see it. Large with a white belly and dark grey stripes.
They call it a tiger shark.
Initially Hawkfrost's old friends Reedwhisker and Voletooth help them try to track down the shark. They manage to catch it but the thrashing breaks Reed's boat and they have to jump onto Hawkfrost's boat. Hawkfrost tells Reedwhisker that they are going to keep going.
But they refuse, tired of Hawkfrost putting them in danger. Hawkfrost is about to escalate when Brambleclaw calms him down. The next day Hawkfrost tries to teach Brambleclaw how to pilot the boat but he isn't good at it. Brambleclaw hangs out with Stormfur and Brook Hawkfrost tries to hang out with them but there is some sort of unspoken tension between them.
While they are planning on ways to catch the shark. A few Riverclan cats comment that if Bramble was going to stay and eat their food and sleep in their beds that he should pitch in helping them build a village.
They are building more out to the lake. Hawkfrost tells them to get lost but Brambleclaw offers to help. He helps them build main hall for Riverclan to eat and dock their boats. The people who are helping comment that he is "more friendly" than his brother. Brambleclaw sticks up for his brother.
A few days later, Brambleclaw is carrying supplies between the docks. He notices an apprentice Beechpaw fishing when Bramble asks him to move; he doesn't, Bramble has to shimmy by. But as he walks past he notices him catching a fish, apparently a big one. But as he is reeling it in Brambleclaw sees the flash of a fin in the water. The tiger shark grabs Beechpaw's catch and drags him into the water.
Brambleclaw freezes. Beechpaw tries to swim back to the camp. Bramble wants to jump in and help them out but it's the water, and he remembers swimming against the waves and being taken under, he remembers Mudclaw forcing his head under the lake.
Beechpaw is taken suddenly under the water and Brambleclaw jumps in. He sees blood but swims through it; he grabs the apprentice and breaks the surface. Hawkfrost and a few other warriors are there to pull him and Beechpaw onto the docks. Beechpaw is unconscious but as they check him over the sea horrified that the shark had bitten his tail off.
They rush into the medical house but they can't find Mothwing anywhere. Willowkit is there drawing. Hawkfrost demands to know where his sister is. She says that she went to Thunderclan to talk to Cinderpelt.
The Warriors do their best to stabilise Beechpaw until Mothwing gets back. They clean up and put pressure on the wound until it stops bleeding. Mothwing rushes back. She clears everybody out of the house to properly treat Beechpaw.
That night the clan is discussing how to catch the shark. Leopardstar does not want to take time away from the building of the camp because many warriors are still sleeping on the shore or in tents. It was why she allowed Hawkfrost to call Brambleclaw for help.
Hawkfrost tells them how he has been trying to kill the shark that keeps getting away. Brook suggests a tribal method of hunting it. In the tribe they would chase down herds of deer, the rider would have a spear attached to rope and they would throw it at the deer. This was to slow it down so their dragon could pounce on it.
She suggests making something buoyant so that it will float to the surface that way they could always track the tiger shark. And stab it until it dies. Brambleclaw is surprised by her ingenuity and asks her to help them but she takes one look at Hawkfrost and politely declines. She and her dragon are helping build anyways she is responsible for critical support beams in the houses.
Brambleclaw overhears Hawkfrost talking with Leopardstar that night. Hawk wants Leopard to punish Mothwing because she was out of clan territory when they needed her. Leopardstar strongly disagrees Mothwing would have had no idea of Beechpaw's condition and when she heard she came straight back to the territory. And she will not punish Mothwing for something that she couldn't foresee.
Hawkfrost yells at her he says that she is only taking Mothwing's side because Mothwing is her daughter and since he is not her son she would punish him if he did the same. Leopardstar corrects him. She says Mothwing isn't skipping important duties to spend time with her brother  or scheme in other clan's politics.Unlike Hawk.
While she is proud that Hawkfrost wanted to fix an injustice that he saw, he put his fellow clan mates in danger and worsened the relationship between Riverclan and Windclan. Afterall a Windclan warrior injured Reedwhisker so badly that he almost lost his eye. And that's part of the reason no one wants to help Hawkfrost with the tiger shark.
Hawkfrost storms out of the leader's house.
Brambleclaw visits Mothwing and Beechpaw. Beechpaw is up and is gonna spend the night in the medic's house. He just has to spend the whole time on his stomach while his tail heals. Willowkit is keeping them company and they're both drawing on the floor.
Brambleclaw asks if Mothwing went to Thunderclan to find Leafpool. Mothwing admits that she wanted to find out what happened to her. She says that she got answers but she can't repeat them.
Brambleclaw asks her about Willowkit and Mothwing says that she thinks that either Willowkit's mother thinks that the medic's house is a playground or Willowkit has decided that she likes Mothwing. Brambleclaw suggests that Mothwing might have a new apprentice soon. And Mothwing admits nervously that she thought about that too. She says that she doesn't know the first thing about being a teacher so she's worried about being a mentor.  To her Mudfur was the best cat in the world. But she supposes the only thing that changed is that he isn't around anymore.
Brambleclaw admits that his relationship with his mentor used to be that way. He now wonders if Firestar even trusts him anymore.
Squirrelflight witnesses Sootfur and Rainwhisker's Warrior ceremonies. Squirrelflight has also been keeping a close eye on Daisy. Her kids are doing much better, but Cinderpelt had to do surgery on Berrykit. Because there is something wrong with his legs. She had to amputate his tail but he is walking now.
She sees a fierce warrior in him and wants to be his mentor. Daisy is nervous about him becoming a warrior. While she is grateful for being taken in she's a bit hesitant about the whole clan thing.
Squirrelflight is waiting for a patrol to gather up for her to go on when there is a commotion at the stables. Goldenflower doesn't recognise Spiderleg and she is accusing him of being an intruder trying to steal their livestock. Mousefur is nearby and is able to calm her down, she explains that Spiderleg is the child of Ferncloud and Dustpelt and slowly she remembers him.
Mousefur takes her to Cinderpelt. Squirrelflight is worried about her.
Brambleclaw and Voletooth make a flotation device and attach it to a sharpened metal pole. They add a barb to its will stick in the shark skin. Brambleclaw asks Voletooth to come with him and Hawkfrost but he doesn't want to after what he did to Reedwhisker.
Brambleclaw and Hawk charm the water with leftovers. They wait a while but eventually the shark shows up. They get with the pole the flotation device works. They are able to track it and shoot it with arrows and bolts. The shark tries to attack their boat but thanks to Hawk's training Bramble is able to outmanoeuvre the shark and chase it out of the lake and down a river between the Shadowclan and Riverclan border.
Hawkfrost wants to go after it but Brambleclaw doesn't. Hawkfrost takes the oars from him and they go down the river anyways.
Squirrelflight is out with Ashfur. She is out hunting him expertly, when they began the patrol he playfully dared her to out hunt him. Maybe he underestimated how competitive she was. Ashfur isn't a challenge to her at all, and it seems like he gives up hunting her.
Since he lost Squirrelflight decides his fate and she asks him to cook her an excellent dinner with the food that she caught.
Brambleclaw has a fight with Hawkfrost and he accuses him of being just like Leopardstar is trying to do his best to protect the clan. To do the right thing but every time he does the right thing someone gets hurt. And he needs to get the tiger before it hurts anybody else.
They moor the boat.
Hawkfrost has a bit of a panic attack, Brambleclaw is there to calm him down. When Hawkfrost feels slightly better he admits that he's been trying so hard because when he was a kit he failed someone badly.
They camp out on the river shore for the night. Hawkfrost tells Brambleclaw about Tadpolekit. He was Mothkit's twin. Sasha had been on the road since he was born because of the fall of Bloodclan. But she made her way to the clans to find safety. She ended up in Riverclan thinking that it would have better then Shadowclan who would have probably recognised her but Leopardstar almost immediately recognised her. She didn't know that technically, Tigerstar and Leopardstar had a political marriage from it came Moth and Tadpole.
He felt pretty out of place in Riverclan and properly would have never left his mother's side if it wasn't for Tadpole deciding to be best friends with him. He would always say that they were brothers so they should spend as much time together as they could.
Hawk had been born a year after them and was always smaller and weaker but Tadpolekit encouraged him not to let that stop him. It was a few days before they were going to be apprenticed and Sasha took them out to the river to play. Hawk chased Tadpole. Tadpole had stopped because he was at the edge of the river but Hawkkit couldn't stop and they both fell into the river.
Sasha jumped in after them and she was only able to pull out Hawkkit. The clan blamed her for Tadpole's death. And she had to leave but Leopardstar let him stay behind.
He felt abandoned and never wanted to feel that again. So he tried to protect Mothwing but now she hates him. So now he just feels weak.
Brambleclaw understands now why he values their relationship that much. He tells him that he felt like his world was ending when Tawnypaw left when he was kit. And he was too young to understand completely what she was doing. He can't even imagine what Hawk went through.
He promises to help him kill the shark.
The next morning they fix the boat and continued on the river taking them through a for half flooded city. They see the floaty but it clearly got snagged on some city wreckage. Now they can’t track the shark accurately. So they retrieve it and tie it to another medal pole.
Hawkfrost goes swimming, but doesn't see anything. Brambleclaw doesn't want to go in the water. He is still nervous about it. He sees blood in the water and paddles over to Hawkfrost. He jumps out, his shoulder got caught on some wreckage and it's bleeding slightly.
They find a sort of cove that they theorise they could trap the shark in. Hawkfrost plans to out swim around and lure it with his cut shoulder. Brambleclaw says it's a very stupid idea and puts him needlessly at risk. But Hawkfrost is confident that Brambleclaw will be there to save him.
But he is planning to do it for Brambleclaw to tie a rope around him and when he pulls on it to pull him back to the cove as fast as possible. When the shark swims in they will trap and kill it. Bramble waits nervously for Hawk to tug on the rope and when he does he reels him in as fast as he possibly can.
The shark is in hot pursuit. Bramble pulls him into the cover. The shark is fast enough to catch Hawkfrost just as he enters the cove. As soon as Brambleclaw sees blood he pushes the ruins over the cove's entrance and they fall. The shark isn't trapped inside of the cove, it's under the rubble and struggling quickly to escape. Brambleclaw pulls Hawk back onto the boat; he has wounds along his arm, chest and leg. The blood is running from the boat and into the cove and the shark gets free of the rubble. Brambleclaw sees it swim past them and try to find a way out of the cove; he picks up Hawkfrost's sword and slices it when it goes past.
The shark circles once and then tips over their boat and they go into the water. Brambleclaw feels the panic set in. Hawkfrost's blood is all around him and he can see the shark very clearly. The broken arrows in its side, the stripes. It swims for them both but Brambleclaw realises he is still holding Hawk’s sword. The shark opens its mouth but Brambleclaw is faster. He drives the sword through its mouth and into its brain. It closes its mouth around his arm and shoulder. But it is dead.
Squirrelflight notices that the only real cat Daisy is getting along with is Cloudtail. They met when he was introducing Whitekit to the babies. And they've been hanging out a lot recently, she overhears Cloudtail talking about his past in the clans. He explains they used to be a lot less accepting of new people, now they are very open to outsiders. He thinks it's largely because of Firestar, he was born an outsider but he ascended the ranks of leader very quickly.
Squirrelflight hopes that doesn't scare Daisy off. But what she is more worried about is the fact that she witnesses Spiderleg tell Daisy to her face to run back wherever she came from. She challenges him to a fight but Sootfur intervenes and takes Spiderleg away to "calm down".
She is ranting about this to Ashfur. And he clearly makes a comment that he doesn't mean to. "I wish you would just kiss me." Squirrelflight is caught off guard by this. She accuses him of not listening to her at all. He apologises but Squirrelflight looks at him up and down and says "do you want to kiss me?".
Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost are alive but the journey home isn't easy though they are both in pain they are insistent on bringing the shark back. Takes them longer to get back to the territories then it did define the city but even as they are bleeding and bruised. They are in very high spirits.
When Mothwing sees them both she is in shock. She has them both eat lots of fruit, drink lots of water and stitches at their wounds. She tells them that they are definitely going to get scars. But they both seem to like the idea. Mothwing tells them that they're insane.
Riverclan feasts on shark. Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost are heroes for a little while. During one night after a very delicious shark-themed feast. Hawkfrost says that he is going to miss Brambleclaw. And Bramble says the same. So he's not going to leave until his wounds are healed.
They sit on the docks, and talk. Hawkfrost would like to be a hero. He wants to be respected by Riverclan but feels being born a rogue will leave people always questioning him. Brambleclaw says that shouldn’t stop him. How other people feel. Brambleclaw has dealt with enough people thinking he will turn out like his father.
Hawkfrost says that it feels like he is the only one who is willing to do the right thing. But he wonders if that is what his father thought. Brambleclaw doesn’t know.
Brambleclaw helps out in Riverclan for a while, taking it easy but helping them build and fish. Though he is terrible at fishing. When he isn't hanging out with Hawkfrost he is hanging out with Stormfur or Brook.
He asked them why they don't like Hawkfrost. They say that he tried to fake a prophecy to get them kicked out of the clan.
Brambleclaw doesn't believe it. But Brook said that one day she walked in on him threatening Mothwing. Mothwing seemed very upset about it but it was none of Brook's business. But Hawk thought that she had caught him so threatened to kill her. Mothwing diffused the situation. And after he stormed off Mothwing explained everything. Which Brook didn't like because she never asked. But she supposes it was always good to know who was trying to get her kicked out of the clan.
Stormfur confirms what she said. Because he confronted Hawkfrost about it. Hawkfrost tried to lie to him but eventually told him that "he had his chance in Riverclan".
Brambleclaw doesn't want to bring this up to is brother but one night he catches him on guard duty. He asks about it. Hawkfrost lies. Brambleclaw can tell that he is lying and he confronts him. And Hawkfrost says that he believes that their father made a mistake sparing Stormfur. He didn't even attempt to come to Riverclan to warn them about the earthquake; he just went straight back to Thunderclan and his father. He also doesn't trust someone that is willing to abandon their clan for a partner. He doesn't like him because he has no loyalties.
Brook as well, her dragon eats up a lot of prey and it scares away a lot of the deer in their territory when it flies overhead. It's not worth the good that it does.
Brambleclaw doesn't want to believe what he's hearing. But he asks about Mothwing. And Hawkfrost blows up at him. Because it's always about Mothwing- poor little innocent Moth who gets away with everything despite the fact that she is a medic that doesn't believe in Starclan, that he had to help become a medic because she would be useless otherwise. And even though he made that sacrifice for her- of faking a sign from Starclan for her she won't even repay him when he asks.
Brambleclaw just walks away from him and goes to ask if Mothwing had ever had to fake another sign from Starclan to please Hawkfrost. She tells him that the one time he wanted her to fake a dream that Leopardstar should be wary of Mistyfoot. That if she didn't then he would tell the whole clan that she didn't believe in Starclan which would probably force her out of being a medic.
Brambleclaw is livid. He may not understand not believing in Starclan that was blackmail.
He plans to leave soon he packs up as things and in the morning. Hawkfrost tries to convince him to stay but he is insistent that he is going to go back to Thunderclan. However that afternoon he is saying his goodbyes to friends that he made, to his sister there is a commotion in the River House.
Hawkfrost was with Brook and they were chasing deer but because her dragon showed up the deer ran off. He blows up at her saying that she is not suited to clan life. He screamed at her and gets up in her face. Leopardstar tells him to stand down when Brook's dragon comes to defend her. The dragon is obviously much larger and stronger than Hawkfrost and pins him down.
Leopardstar sends Hawkfrost but tells Brook that if she can't control her dragon then she has to leave. Brambleclaw interrupts and insists he is going back to Thunderclan anyways. He will gladly take his friends off Riverclan's hands.
When Brambleclaw gets back. He sees Squirrelflight and Ashfur walking hand-in-hand. She is surprised to see him. She says that she thought that he had moved to Riverclan for good. Brambleclaw admits that he saw that too. But he brought "gifts". and he takes her and Ashfur to Brook and Stormfur.
The next gathering Brambleclaw runs into Hawkfrost. And Hawkfrost apologises to him. This upsets Brambleclaw because Hawk should be apologising to him he should be apologising to his sister, Reedwhisker and Brook. He walks away from him.
Windclan claims that it has seen signs of Thunderclan cats on their side of the border. Firestar tries to talk this out peacefully but Onestar insists on escalating this.
Brambleclaw thinks he is over correcting. Tawnypelt meets him, and introduces him to her new boyfriend Rowanclaw. It takes a moment to comprehend what this means. He has met Rowanclaw before. But he is glad to meet her new boyfriend.
Squirrelflight sits next to Brambleclaw as Thunderclan begins to pack up. This may just talk about how things have been going. Squirrelflight is worried about Leafpool. And suggests that she and Brambleclaw run away together to find them. They both laugh at this.
Ashfur doesn't find it funny and asks Brambleclaw if you can move so he can sit next to his girlfriend. Brambleclaw looks at Squirrelflight and asks if that's okay with her. She says Brambleclaw can do what he wants and he says that he likes sitting next to his friend.
Ashfur speculates on whether he really means "friend". And that's when Brambleclaw gives up his seat. Before he leaves she says to Squirrelflight to enjoy her night with her other friend. Ashfur is angry.
Hawkfrost keeps riding to Brambleclaw but he ignores them. He busies himself with work around camp. With Goldenflower Sunset has really been making progress is learning how to speak cat. Though one time Sunset said, "Want. I." then pointed to a woolly goat with its kid.
Brambleclaw just feels bad.
One day a clan meeting is called. Firestar reflects how it's been more than two years since Graystripe disappeared. So it's time for him to choose a new deputy. And he chooses Brambleclaw. He is surprised but Firestar explains that his daughter told him about a message sent to her by Starclan. Of bramble protecting.
The clan is divided on this.
The next gathering, Hawkfrost, comes to Brambleclaw again. He apologises and says that he understands now what he did wrong. Brambleclaw counters that he clearly hasn't because he still hasn't apologised to those who need it.
Hawkfrost asks to be taken back to Thunderclan to apologise to Stormfur and Brook himself. Bramble doesn't agree immediately; instead he goes and finds Mothwing. She says that Hawkfrost had apologised to her. She thanks Bramble for whatever he said to him to make apologise.
So that gathering he just sits and talks with Hawkfrost. And they catch up.
Being a deputy is difficult and he feels like he doesn’t know what he is doing. Firestar is there to help though. And it feels good like it was when he was first apprenticed to him. He feels trusted again.
Hawkfrost once again becomes his space to go to worry about nothing. They meet whenever they can. For a few moons.
He invites Hawkfrost to Thunderclan. He sees Brook first and says that he regrets what he said to her. She accepts this and he goes to find Stormfur. They have a bit more of an argument but Stormfur accepts his apology but doesn't forgive him.
Hawkfrost takes this well. Brambleclaw is impressed. Squirrelflight comes over to them and asks what Hawkfrost is doing in Thunderclan and they are truthful. Hawkfrost doesn't apologise to Squirrelflight. But he does show her the matching scars that he and Brambleclaw now have because of the tiger shark.
Squirrelflight thinks they're cool and goes on her way. Brambleclaw shows him the stables. Hawkfrost says that Bramble shouldn't be wasting his time here. He's a strong warrior so he should be doing what warriors do. He says that is not a farmer, he is now a deputy.
Brambleclaw says that he really enjoys farming. But he stops when he sees his mother.
Goldenflower is inside and she's having a panic attack. Brambleclaw goes over to her and he can't understand what's wrong.
While Brambleclaw is calming his mother down. Hawkfrost decides to talk with the badgerbear kit. He passes it and a note that says, I help get your parents to you if you can tell me where I can find them. Sunset writes down where he knows his father is.
Leafpool is relaxing on the grass outside of a cottage. She was gardening but the sky was clear and the breeze was nice and there is some peace and quiet for a little bit. So she decided to lay on the grass and closed her eyes. She wakes up slowly, looks into the window of the cottage, smiles and goes back to gardening.
Crowfeather and she had travelled for nights. The plan was to make it back to the Tribe. To get a map and see where they live but on the way there they found this cottage and decided that's where they were staying.
They did what they could to repair the cottage but it took a lot of work. And unfortunately Crowfeather had to do a lot of the hard work himself. But the cottage is very comfortable and she has a garden that is flourishing. Crowfeather comes back from his hunt. She sees his raven, who flies over to meet her. He's been successful in his caught a hare and two pheasants. They get to work preparing a fire and begin to cook their meals.
Leafpool kisses him and comments on his cooking skills. And how they've improved since they've been living there. Just as they are settling in for the night the door is caved in. Leafpool and Crowfeather go for weapons as a badgerbear squeezes into their tiny living room.
Midnight is surprised to see them here of all places. She ignores them in favour of their leftovers and devours what is left. But Midnight seems to realise a sound that is reaching her ears. She comments that it's a bit early for that.
Crowfeather demands to know why she burst down the door and Midnight says that the clans have made a mistake. And are about to suffer greatly for it. That a young life has been imprisoned and the badgerbears are upset that they have been kicked out of their own territory but also one of their own has been stolen and they are going to take it back. And a cat is leading them straight into the heart of Thunderclan for his own selfish reasons.
She says that they can either stay there or come with her. But she wants them if Thunder falls then the badgers won't stop. She says that if that happens then the past will find it easier to crawl back into the future.
Leafpool and Crowfeather are hesitant but Midnight leaves and they have to think because they have to consider their little family.
Brambleclaw talks to Hawk. He updates them, Brook’s dragon is causing problems. But He is trying to talk about it with her. He is having Brook and Tiger-Iron hunt at night to stop scaring away the other patrol’s prey.
Ashfur isn’t listening to him. He thinks it’s because Ashfur is threatened by his relationship with Squirrelflight. He had enough and he shouted at Ashfur for not listening to him. And Firestar lectured him in front of the whole clan. He felt like a kit.
Hawk asks what he would do with Ashfur if he was leader and he and Hawkfrost come up with a creative punishment.
Hawkfrost asks if Brambleclaw thinks he would make a good deputy. Brambleclaw teases him that he has potential but he isn’t sure. Hawkfrost laughs and they part ways.
Thunderclan isn't expecting the badger attack and when it comes it is in the middle of the day. There's a few patrols out, Firestar isn't even in camp. Ashfur wanted to show something near the lake shore.
Squirrelflight thinks about Ashfur and she likes him enough she doesn't feel like she sees them together. She realises that might be because she still has feelings for Brambleclaw she realises that watching him help his mother in the Thunderclan stables. They are going to take the goats out to graze. She thinks about going with him. Just to think over her realisations. But she doesn’t.
She was on the dawn patrol so she is going to nap. An alarm wakes her up.
Badgerbears burst through the clan's defences and the clan is invaded. The bears make quick work of nearby warriors. There are about six or seven of them. Anybody who can grabs a weapon and tries to force them back.
Brook and her dragon are there. Tiger-Iron gets tackled by a bear. Brook tries to help him and in a panic he breathes fire. The fire quickly spreads.
Squirrelflight runs to the closest warrior Sootfur and asks him to help her evacuate people in need. Mousefur and Longtail are able to hold their own working together so she grabs Goldenflower, Whitekit and Birchkit Daisy and her kits and means to take Sorreltail as well but she is going into labour.
Squirrelflight and Sootfur barricade the nursery as best they can. Ferncloud decides to stay with her to protect her. Squirrelflight moves everybody along the camp walls. They get them out the back entrance when a bear finds them. It grabs Squirrelflight by the leg and takes her back down the wall. Sootfur pushes everyone to safety. And then goes down to help her.
The bear injures Sootfur fatally but they both manage to push it back and into the battle.  Squirrelflight tries to help him but he tells her to go back and help Sorreltail. Squirrelflight get Cinderpelt to the nursery and vows to protect it. She does to the best of her abilities but when two bears try to attack her. She leads them away. She runs by the stable and has an idea.
Brambleclaw had run out of the camp before the attack. He had forgotten that he agreed to meet Hawkfrost that day on the edge of Thunderclan territory. But he hears the alarm raised at camp and looking down to the cove he sees the bear attack is about to go back when. Ashfur flags him down. Firestar has been injured badly and he needs help and Brambleclaw has a choice to make. He tells Ashfur to find any patrols nearby because the camp is being attacked. Ashfur pales and runs to find anybody.
Brambleclaw runs to find Firestar.
He reaches the lake shore and the sun is setting. Firestar has been impaled by a spear. Something similar to the one they used to hunt down the tiger shark. Hawkfrost. He stands there, watching curiously as Firestar begins to lose life after life. He stabbed the pole through his heart and it can't heal properly. So Fire is dying over and over again.
Hawkfrost asks him if this is how their father died. He knows neither of them were old enough to be at the battle. But Bramble must've heard stories from people who were there.
Brambleclaw demands to know what Hawk is doing. And Hawk says that he is making Brambleclaw have what their father could never. He is doing him a favour by killing the mentor that trained him and overlooked him. Bramble is horrified. He begins to beg for Firestar's life saying that he will do whatever Hawk wants.
What he wants is a brother. He wants his brother to be leader and him to be by his side as deputy.
Stromfur is on a patrol with other Thunderclan cats, Dustpelt, Brightheart and Sandstorm. When Ashfur runs into them. He says the camp is under attack.
He runs back with them and sees a bear flying Tiger-Iron. He is being overwhelmed. Stormfur runs in to help him. The badgerbear teeth sink into his neck. Stormfur jumps on the bear's back and stabs him.
The bear throws him off but his knife is still in its back. Stormfur goes to Tiger-Iron he is hurt really bad. Tiger-Iron tells him that coming to the forest was a mistake and Stormfur is cursed. Stormfur says that he hadn't meant to hurt Tiger-Iron.
Tiger-Iron said that the forest isn't a place he wanted to die but if he must he will die by Stormfur proudly. Stormfur says that Tiger-Iron doesn't have to die today. He tells him to good get help instead. He says that he will fight by Brook.
Tiger-Iron lifts Stormfur into the air and drops him back on the bear's back. Stormfur pulls his sword out of the bear and the bear falls back to crush Stormfur.
Stormfur gets crushed. The bear grabs him and throws him to a wall. The bear stalks forward but is stopped with a spear to its eye. Brook and a few warrirors from Thunderclan attacks the bear.
Leafpool and Crowfeather may be too late, they are with Midnight in WIndclan camp but they are not being listened to. Onestar says Crowfeather has betrayed his clan. He is trying to lead into Thunderclan for an ambush.
Crowfeather is trying to agrue for Thunderclan but nothing is working until Tiger-Iron flies into camp. Tiger-Iron is bleeding out heavily. He says that the camp is being attacked.
Onestar asks how they could even believe him. Tiger tells him to follow his blood to the camp. And then he collaspes.
Windclan readies armour, and weapons.
Leafpool fears this is too late. Those fears are confirmed when she sees the camp covered in flames. Windclan quickly works to fight the fire while Midnight and the others face off against the bears.
Ferncloud had been trying to guard the nursery but the bears overwhelmed her.
She hears cries coming from the nursery and rushes to. Cinderpelt has received a fatal wound protecting Sorreltail. The flames are crawling up and into the nursery. Sorreltail has given birth to triplets.
The bear turns on Leafpool, it attacks but Midnight is there to grab it and pull it from the nursey.
Smoke begins to fill the room. Leafpool orders Crowfeather to save Sorreltail and her babies.
Cinderpelt sees the fire and tells Leafpool to go. Leafpool refuses. They say goodbye to each other.
Squirrelflight has grabbed Sunset. She is trying to talk to him and he understands that his family is here. He says that he knew his family was coming to save him. She tells him that she will let him go if he tells us fairly to go back to where they came from.
She takes Sunset outside. Three of the closest bears stop fighting. She hands Sunset over and it's clear that he's telling them to leave. But one of them takes him and the other two attack Squirrelflight.
Hawk wants Bramble to be a leader and there is only one way of doing that. Brambleclaw attacks him. They fight and Hawkfrost is armed while Bramble is not but he manages to kick Hawkfrost's sword out of his hand. And he digs his fingers into the scar that Hawkfrost got from the tiger shark. Hawkfrost goes down and clutches his leg.
Brambleclaw pulls the spear out of Firestar's chest and Hawkfrost grabs his own blade and tackles Bramble they go into the water Hawkfrost is on top of him his blade run through Brambleclaw gut, he sees that Bramble's torso is stained with blood. But he realises that the blood is dripping down from him, the spear has gone through his chest. He stumbles off of Bramble and keeps walking until he falls into the lake.
Squirrel gets struck by one bear but rolls away before the other can grab her. She gets bitten and dragged back but Ashfur tries to come to her rescue. He gets clawed by one of the bears before two Windclan warriors help get them away from the bear.
Thunderclan with the combined forces of Windclan and Midnight drive the badgerbears out.
Brambleclaw is rushed back to Thunderclan along with his leader.
Leafpool is now the only medic and it has been almost a year since she had done anything related to medicine. But she works round the clock to save Firestar.
Over Cinderpelt's body she pays her respects and talks to Crowfeather. Leafpool needs to stay there  But he asks about their family. And she doesn't know what to do.
Tiger-Iron surivies but his wings are very damaged.
Firestar is saved but he only has one life left. Brambleclaw survives as well. And in the clan meeting after the battle Brambleclaw decides to step down from being a deputy he believes he is still young and has much to learn. He also asks for a change of name. He wants to go by Brambleflower in honour of a mother rather than his father.
Brambleflower is pulled to the side by Squirrelflight. Because there is something that concerns them and Leafpool and Crowfeather. Immediately the border and Crowfeather introduces them to Hollykit. Leafpool ran away with him when she found out that she was pregnant. And they need to decide what to do because Leafpool has to stay in Thunderclan. Otherwise it will be without a medic. Hollykit is almost a year old so she can be separated from Leafpool but what to do with her is the question.
They don't know what to do with Hollykit. They come to an agreement for Crowfeather to take her and raise her in Windclan.
Crowfeather goes back to Windclan holding his child. He hears Leafpool crying after him but he doesn’t look back.
He thinks about leaving the clans again, turning around and not looking back but he can’t raise Hollykit alone. The first place he goes to is Barkface. He lets Barkface in on his conspiracy, but Barkface tells them to go to Nightcloud. Nightcloud has a child of her own on the way but the father Coal has run off. Crowfeather agrees to claim the child is his if Nightcloud takes in Hollykit as her own. Nightcloud agrees.
Brambleflower takes Hawkfrost’s body to Riverclan. Mothwing doesn’t know what to say. But she says whatever Brambleflower had to do she understands. But she will need to forgive him. Brambleflower isn’t sure which one of her brothers she means. He gives her Hawkfrost’s sword.
Seasons later, Goldenflower is in the elder's den. Brambleflower introduces her to his son, Lionkit. Goldenflower holds him. He explains in a practised manner that he is the son of him and Squirrelflight. He will never know the forest but that's okay. He's happy and he hopes that he could raise his son to be happy as well.
