Got a coupon for Joanns that I have to use by the end of the month, but I've been very indecisive on the Vivec cosplay for which pattern I should use, so I would love to see everyone else's opinion. I'm going for more Vivec-inspired outfit than a 100% cosplay, and I'm basing it on his Morrowind appearance for the accessories

So I think I'll use these patterns to be modified for some of the accessories (x) (x). I'm also going to make some spats for my shoes, and hopefully make a Wraithguard. There's a few others things I'll have to come up with depending on what base pattern I go with, but these are the ones I have planned so far.

But now I just need the base outfit (which will be split yellow on one side and gray/blue on the other)

So my original idea was a sort of jumpsuit like this. Pros: probably easier to make than some of the others, but I don't know if it will look good with the accessories (or on me). It also is more casual than the others.

Similarly, I could go more formal with a suit. Once again, I'm unsure if it will match the accessories as well though, but I like the idea more. A proper suit would also be harder and more expensive (from the materials), but on the same token would be good practice. I’d probably tone it down on the accessories if I did this one but idk

Alternatively, I could go with a sort of dress.

This first one is technically a Daenerys dress, but I think the aesthetic matches morrowind well and it wouldn’t read like her with more accessories. I like the open front so the skirt is more like a cape than a skirt and the shoulders (although those might be covered by pauldrons). (x)

I like the tapering and wave look of the skirt on this one, but it’s my least favorite bodice of the dresses. I might add a different sleeve if I did this one. (x)

And for this last one, I like the bodice and sleeves, but it’s my least favorite skirt. You can’t tell from this image, but it is open in the front like the other two, but I might taper it from the front a bit like the previous one if I go with it. Maybe I could even mix and match these two since they are both Simplicity patterns. (x)

I know there's the whole AU of Ulysses being there with Aax when he washes up and the two of them meeting Rae and Ulysses immediately going dad mode on this very sad child, but, what would happen if they met Icarus at any point during that idea? be it with Rae or otherwise - how do you think Ulysses would react to them?

This is a very long answer sorry lol, but I think, completely and honestly, Ulysses would see young Icarus as a threat. Especially at that point in the timeline.

Not a threat that he would ever fight, but certainly a threat he needs to keep himself and Aax far away from. He would be incredibly afraid of the power that young Icarus wields. Because Icarus is not kind. Icarus would rat them out.

We saw in canon that Icarus, as a tween/teenager, is a really mean and shitty kid. Icarus is a bully. The kind of kid who would absolutely hand Ulysses over to the people he’s running from in a heartbeat, if they thought it was what Fable would want. If it would make Fable happy. They probably wouldn’t even spare them a second thought. And I think, especially knowing Rae and then meeting Icarus, Ulysses would pick up on that. He would pick up on the fact that Icarus is not kind to Rae. That Icarus is both a victim of the situation, and part of the problem. That there is no winning over Icarus while Fable is in the picture, because Ulysses could never combat Fable on his own. And trying to help Icarus would quite literally bring the wrath of god down upon him and his child.

While Icarus is certainly in an unhealthy environment too, Ulysses can’t do much to help, because unlike Rae, Icarus doesn’t want to leave. I could be misremembering things, but from what I know, at that point in the timeline, Icarus adores Fable. And treats Rae badly because of it. Ulysses isn’t exactly in a position to separate Icarus from that environment unless they leave willingly. Ulysses wouldn’t be able to trust Icarus the way he would Rae. And I think he hates the fact that he can’t; because it shows how much under Fable’s thumb Icarus already is at that young age, and how fragile Ulysses’ and Perseus’ own safety and existence is when they’re on the run. It’s not Icarus’ fault in any way, but Icarus is too much of a risk for Ulysses to trust. And honestly I think that Icarus would never choose to trust Ulysses in return. Because trusting Ulysses means admitting that Fable is bad. And I don’t think young Icarus would do that.

If it came down to risking the lives of Perseus and Rae in order to show kindness to Icarus? Ulysses wouldn’t take that risk. He wouldn’t let himself take that risk. He would feel awful about not being able to do more to help this child, it would eat away at him, but he would know he couldn’t do more, and why he couldn’t.

Trying to save Icarus would be a gamble in any situation. If it was Ulysses on his own, he would take that gamble. But not if he’s also gambling the lives of not just one, but potentially two young children, who are depending on him for safety. His own life is one thing. He doesn’t care about putting that in the line, especially to save another. But he wouldn’t let himself sacrifice any more innocent lives in the process.

These were mostly done with the premise of treating Kale's office like the hideout. I also really like how mundane, or familiar, the interactions between Chai and Kale can be in the game so I wanted to draw some stuff exploring more like that. But also, there's the ulterior motive of shipping so I included an out of context scene because I can't bother drawing the rest of it (though it seems like a huge jump in their relationship as a result. I think they're so big headed that they get stuck in a feedback loop of stroking the other's ego if an excuse comes up to do so)

Like, idk how many people know of the comics and stuff, but there's so much going on with this one character who canonically has no backstory. He's the ONLY ONE without a backstory and it INFURIATES MEEEEEEE

It's basically guidestuck before I knew what guidestuck was, but actually it's kinda really different! It's mostly just fun designs I made, there's no story or plot as of writing this.

I'm still figuring everyone out, and some characters are a lot more refined then others, like Spidermom and Pounce de Leon, but I have basic ideas for the whole crew.
