Some more of that Chai joins Vandelay for half a day AU. Or just a picture of a kinda OOC Kale chilling if you wanna gloss over those comics. I'm still not sure if the colours are too garish or not.
These were mostly done with the premise of treating Kale's office like the hideout. I also really like how mundane, or familiar, the interactions between Chai and Kale can be in the game so I wanted to draw some stuff exploring more like that. But also, there's the ulterior motive of shipping so I included an out of context scene because I can't bother drawing the rest of it (though it seems like a huge jump in their relationship as a result. I think they're so big headed that they get stuck in a feedback loop of stroking the other's ego if an excuse comes up to do so)

Caine, Jax and Kinger with an kid reader who is like sleepy and very calm most of the time; like having that sleepy voice and is most likely to sleep standing up.
But when someone gives sugar to reader OH BOI
Reader gets eletric, like running around 300 kilometers per hour (Figuratively, not literally) does jumping jacks and starts like accidentally wrecking havoc with their running cuz they keep knocking things on accident while their run, but after an hour or two, reader just... Sleeps on the ground like they didnt almost destroy the entire place an minute ago.
Im going through an hard time in my life and currently your blog has been comforting me, so ilysm! Tyy<3 stay safe!
- ♣️
Caine, Jax, and Kinger x sleepy!kid!reader who gets zoomies (platonic!)
Eeueueuee lemme just say I love this idea so much I remember seeing this when it first got sent in and I just
UGH!!!/pos
Hope you enjoy anon!
Tumblr media
CAINE:
I was about to say that he would wear one of those kid baby carrier harness things to carry you around when you fall asleep but then I remembered how short Caine is LMAO... that said I think he would probably like. Idk summon a digital cloud or something to carry you to bed. Very nice very sweet, I think! Honestly I kind of love dad Caine...
Thinks you look absolutely adorable when you do the sleepy wobble when you're standing. Probably calls for nap time periods during IHAs
One day he thought it would be a good day to reward everyone with candy after a IHA and he just
Watches wide eyed when you suddenly start running all over the place. What happened? Is this normal? Are you okay? He tries to zoom after you to catch you before you hurt yourself
Lots of chaos for the next half hour or so. I think he would even resort to sending out bubble to intercept you
Carefully scoops you up when you succumb to the sugar crash and just
Stands there as you fall asleep on him
Very lost very confused, though the sugar rush thing was a myth
JAX:
Very similar event from Caine's part. Everyone is given a piece of candy after successfully completing an IHA. I do think that Caine would still enforce naptime breaks during IHAs during Jax and Kingers pieces too, since I think caine would just generally want to keep this kid friendly/safe but maybe that's just me falling in love with dad caine
But this is about jax
Real quick before we get into the sugar rush, let's talk about your general sleepiness. Honestly I think he would be a little worried about how tired you are all the time... what's that? Jax worried about something? Now that's new!
Jokes aside I think he would try to ask around for any advice on how to boost your energy. Earns him some looks because it's kind of out of character for him. And you know what? It is.. but I think he would be soft for his new adopted kid
Tends to carry you around when you get sleepy, which is often
Now for the sugar rush. One second you're there and the next you're bolting and running around all crazy. I think he just. Stand there flabbergasted for a second because he thinks it's a little funny
Doesnt intervene until you start knocking into things... and almost knock into him
Now we know how fast jax can be, so I think he wouldnt have much issue catching you (assuming that part in the pilot was more than a gag.. it likely was just a gag but I'm feeling silly)
Kind of just holds you up in the air while you flail and try to run away.. before eventually going limp in his grasp
Similar to caine he kind of just stands there. Very taken aback. Thinks it's a little funny though.
"Comeon kid, let's get ya to bed"
KINGER:
Same scenario with the candy after an IHA.. but first, of course, how kinger is with your eepy self
Honestly you two just hang out together in the pillow fort. Its nice and soft and cozy. So even if you werent so tired all the time you would still have a very easy time falling asleep in his fort!
Usually he will take you to your room when it's nighttime... cue the universal memory of falling asleep and waking up somewhere else as a child
Always makes sure you're tucked in and with your favorite plushie... now kinger would have a baby harness and be able to carry you around when you get tired
Let's out a yelp when you suddenly get your sugar induced zoomies. Tries to run after you but you're just way too fast. I think some of the others would take some pity on him and try to help him. Probably pomni, ragatha, and gangle.. zooble cant be bothered and jax is just laughing at the situation because it aint his kid.. caine may try to help if hes still hanging around
Panics when you suddenly slump over and fall asleep on the floor. Is going to have to be reassured that you did not just
You know... and that you're just asleep
Makes a mental note to limit sugar
...its not even real sugar.. its digital.. bro is beside himself trying to make sense of it

"It's one plane ride away, I'll be there in 3 months"
"That's 3 months too long" he grumbles, still pouting as he zips the last of his luggage. Mark hated being away for you, too many days and nights your time zone's don't line up. By the time it's morning for you, he'll be saying goodnight.
But now, things are about to change. This will be the last time you're saying goodbye to him for a long time but he doesn't know that. For now it's your little secret.
"It'll fly by fast, just like every other time. Now come here and give me cuddles, stop pouting like a kid" you tease him, opening your arms to welcome him.
Feeling his arms go around you, you further confirmed a fact you've known for years. The two of you can be continents away from each other, but your heart will always stay with one another. Mark really has become your home and in his arms are where you feel the safest and most loved.
"If you're sad then it's gonna make me sad, I don't want the last night to be all tears" you tell him, feeling his embrace tighten against you. He kisses the top of your head a few times before letting you go.
"You're right, sorry. No more sulking, it's just 3 months then you'll come to me" he smiles at you, the cute little dimple you love so much appearing on his cheek. You stand on your tiptoe to kiss it, savoring the warmth of him against your lips.
And you were right, the 3 months did fly by fast. Mainly because you were busy packing your apartment to move to another continent. You didn't keep much apart from your stuff and some of Mark's. It's kind of hard to travel with everything so you got rid of what you can.
The only person who knew you were coming was Johnny, who is currently waiting for you at the airport. Easily spotting the 6 foot Chicago guy from a distance.
"There she is! About time you got here, I don't think I can take another day of Mark whining about how much he misses you" he jokes, giving you a quick hug and taking your stuff to carry it himself.
"He doesn't know I'm coming, I'm suppose to fly out this weekend" you tell him while following behind
"Oh believe me I know, he won't let us forget"
You chuckle at his story, just thinking about surprising Mark makes you grin.
He dropped you off at Mark's apartment, you're familiar with the place since you've stayed here every time you fly over. What he doesn't know is you're here to stay with him for good.
It did took a lot of courage to make this decision but you didn't doubt it for a second. You know there's no other place you'd rather call home than where he is.
For a couple of hours you rested, cleaned the few dishes on the sink and picked up the towel he threw on the floor. A habit you knew he had, you've had that talk with him more than a few times and he always promises he won't do it again. You let him off the hook, for now.
You were in the bedroom when you hear someone by the door. Mark entered his place, tired from the whole day of work to notice the other pair of shoes by the door.
He threw his bag by the couch, along with his coat. He then walked to the kitchen to grab a bottle of water, resting against the counter while he drinks and take a moment to look around.
This time he notices the dishes he was suppose to do this morning was gone. He brushed it off thinking he must've just forgotten he already did it. He then walked to the bedroom, the first thing he noticed was the towel that he definitely threw by the bed this morning. He remembers it because he's been thinking about it all day and how you'll be mad if you found out he threw it on the floor yet again.
He looks around, checking to see anything missing or different just in case someone broke in. But who would clean up if they're here to steal, he thoughts.
Mark then walks towards the bathroom to check, nothing there too so he walks back the bedroom. Just when he was about to go outside, you jumped out of your hiding spot to surprise him
"SURPRISE!"
"WHAT THE F- OH MY GOD WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE" you didn't even get the chance to walk towards him because he's already running to you. Picking you up in an embrace.
"Is this for real or am I dreaming?" you hear him mumble
You giggle, patting him on the back so he could put you down. "This is real silly. I'm really here" you tell him.
He grabs you by the face and kisses you. As his lips lands on yours, he knew this was really real. You're actually here with him.
You can feel him smile against your lips, tilting your head to the side to kiss him deeper. Too many days wish he was with you, now he's here and you're not going to let go that easily.
He walks backwards until the back of his legs hit the bed. Landing on it gently with you still in his arms. You straddle his legs while the two of you get lost in each others kisses.
"Okay okay wait a sec" you giggle, pushing your lover away gently. Mark follows your lips though, kissing you a few more times before he lets you go but not too far.
"When did you get here?" he asks you
"Today, Johnny picked me up at the airport so I could surprise you" you tell him, your hands intertwine around his shoulders.
"I could've come and pick you up" he pouts.
Oh your sweet sweet boy.
You smile at him, rubbing your nose against his. Feeling like you're on cloud nine now that you're back together.
"Then it wouldn't be a surprise" you tell him, speaking of surprise you can't wait to see his reaction once you tell him your news.
"How long are you staying? I can take a few days off so we can go out" he tells you excitedly.
For you he would do just about anything. He can put his world on pause, stop everything for you.
"About that..."
"What? You can't stay that long?" he asks, already feeling sad but he tries not to let you see it.
"Actually, I'm not gonna go back" you tell him, not sure how to break the news to him either
"Huh?"
"Surprise number 2 I guess, I wanted to tell you for months now but I waited until everything is settled. So yeah. I'm here to stay, that is if you're looking for a roommate?" you ask
Mark didn't say anything for a couple of seconds, your words still processing in his mind.
"You mean you're staying here, with me ? Here? and you're not going to fly back? You're staying with me?"
You can't help but laugh lightly at him, pulling him closer once again to kiss him
"I'm gonna stay right here" you whisper, looking straight into his eyes.
"But what about your work? your friends? I can't ask you to leave your life there"
"Baby you're not asking me, I want to. I have friends here too, I can call my friends there and we can visit them. Plus you're my bestfriend. As for work, it just so happened they were looking for someone to relocate here to Korea. It was like fate wanted me to be here"
"Are you sure? I don't want you to give up everything, I don't mind the flights-"
"You do, I do. We both do. We just never said it outloud because we didn't want to be sad, but all I can think of when you're not around is how much I want to be with you. To be honest it's harder for me to be there than moving here where I know I could be with you"
He looks at you, trying to find the words to say
"Are you really really sure?" he asks again
"I wouldn't be here if it wasn't. So you're stuck with me, for good" you tease a smile out of him
"It's hard for me too. It's the hardest when I'm so tired and I come back here and all I can think of is how much I want to come home to you. Every flight away from you was never easy"
"I know"
"So I guess this is your anniversary present?" he jokingly asks, you get off of his lap to stand up.
"It'll be hard to top this one" you joke
"I can just ask you to marry me" he says ever so casually, not missing how your cheeks reddened. You hit him lightly making your boyfriend laugh
"Hey, that's not fair"
"You're the one who's stuck me, you know I'm never letting you go now?"
"Good, cause I'm not going anywhere. Here's to 7 more years"
He smile at you before standing up to hug you again,
As you stare at each other eyes you can't help but feel this warm sensation in your chest. You really are home.
"I read somewhere that our cells change every 7 years or so" you mumble, he hums waiting for you to continue
"It's been 7 years since we first met, and until now I still feel the same way about you. I want every cell in my body to know what it feels like to love you, I want it to never forget how warm and lovely it feels it be in love with you. 7 years from now, 14 years and until the last cycle of this life, I want all of me to love all of you"
He stares at you, soaking each word coming out of your lips like a spell enchanting him. Making him fall even deeper in love with you.
"You know they say love isn't easy, but loving you is easy. It's like it's the only thing my heart and soul was made for. Every thought in my head, awake or even in my dreams, is always you" he tells you.
You can feel the tears starting to build up from too much happiness you're feeling right now.
"Wanna hear something crazy?" you mumble
"Do tell" he chuckles
"If you ask me to marry you right now, I'd say yes"
He smiles at you before closing the distance once again, like he just sealed a promise. Speaking a silent vow to make that come true, maybe tonight or tomorrow or 7 days/months from now. All he knows is he will live this life with you.

♡ Last Heartbeat ♡
Corpse Puppet AU by @sketchquill
Idea: He was deeply in love. Wally Darling, a handsome young man. Julie Joyful, a gorgeous young lady. It seemed as if they were the perfect pair, though love has blinded Wally from realizing that wasn't the case. In fact, he was so, so wrong.
Reminder: Quick disclaimer, this fic will contain one-sided love and murder!! While canon to both Corpse Bride and Corpse Puppet AU, I know this stuff is not for everyone! Potential spoilers will be ahead as well for Corpse Bride!! You have been warned, viewer. >:)
♡----------------♡
Julie Joyful, how does one begin to describe her? Her beauty is simply just breathtaking. Pretty, beautiful, gorgeous.. no words can even describe how extravagant this young lady was. Always wore her precious jewels and pearls around her neck. Always kept her long, blonde hair up in a ponytail. Always wore her most delicate dresses, everything looked so good on her. People all around town can never get enough of her beauty. She knows this and takes pride in it. How many hearts she's stolen, how many men have fallen in love with her. It was too much to count. She could brag about it all day if she really wanted to.
However, just because they fall for her doesn't mean she falls for them, oh no no. Julie is rich and wealthy, she shows it so through her outfits and precious jewels she wears. She has very high standards, mind you, and not a single man or woman out there has swept her off her feet. It was getting tiring, actually. Always having looks at her, but never returns them simply because she doesn't see them that way.
But it's not like she needs the love, anyways.
She doesn't need it. What she needs is gold, lots of them. Diamonds if possible, she wants it all. Sure, she's rich, but what she has now isn't enough. She needs more. More of that wealth and luxury.
And fortunately for her, a poor soul just so happens to fall in love with her, and have the money.
It was quite simple, actually. As usual, Julie was headed out when a young man just so happens to walk to her the opposite direction. He stops and looks at her, and right then and there, is already falling in love. For a moment, she was about to wave and walk off, but what caught her attention was the satchel of gold he carried. Was he rich, too? It wasn't easy to tell, despite being wealthy herself. She reaches her hand out and plays along, pretending to be swept off her feet by him. He takes her hand and holds it softly. With a small bow, he introduces himself.
Wally Darling.
An interesting name to say the least.
But that doesn't matter now. His name means nothing to her. For now, however, she played with his feelings and sent him compliments purely to toy with his heart.
It was like a fun little game. Except Wally is the pawn and Julie is the player.
And of course, all games must come to an end.
And that ending will be his.
Weeks go by, and it all came down to this exact moment. It was cold out, the moon sat exactly in the middle of the dark skies as all could be seen were the moonlight and stars. Wally stood nearby at an oak tree, he was ready to go. All dressed up in a tuxedo, taken from his father. It was true, you really didn't need much when you were in love.
He held his satchel of gold close, smiling so brightly as he waited for his beloved Julie. He never questioned why she asked for his precious valuables. Perhaps it was to show them off? She shows her jewels off, so maybe she wants him to do the same? Yeah, that seems fair.
The waiting was starting to get to Wally. He became worried. Did she get lost? Oh goodness.. did she leave him alone? To sit in the darkness? He knew she knew about his father being against their wanted marriage. He couldn't cope with that alone, but he couldn't bear to think of the possible scenarios of where Julie could be.
As he stood alone, there stood Julie just at a fair distance away from him. She alone wasn't dressed up, just in one of her fancy dresses. She wasn't about to ruin a wedding dress for this quick stunt. She stared, closely examining his posture and keeping low Incase he were to turn around. With a twisted grin and ax in hand behind her back, Julie slowly approached Wally. A few steps in, she puts on her facade and coughs to get his attention.
"Wally, sweetheart?" She called out, just managing to force care into her voice.
Wally felt his heart flutter, his stomach filled with butterflies. He turned to his feet and faced Julie, sighing in relief when he saw she was okay.
"Julie, my pretty rose!"
Ew, she hated that name.. she forced a smile and took a few steps forward, sighing.
"Oh, Wally.. you have no idea how much I've been waiting for this moment."
..Poor Wally wasn't aware about what was coming to him. His heart was beating so loud, being filled with so much love for his precious darling. He loved her. Wally loves Julie. But she doesn't love him, not at all.
"There's no need to wait anymore. We can run away, be somewhere far away. We can have our future, just to ourselves. Oh, Julie, I'm so happy to marry you!"
The excitement in his voice, his unconditional love for her was showing through.
Too bad for him, that was about to be cut off.
"Oh, Wally.."
Julie paused for a moment. She broke the facade. A creepy smile crept on her lips as she took out the ax that she hid behind her back.
"I wish I could say the same."
What..? No, no no..
Wally was taken aback. He quickly took a few steps back as fear crept on him like an incoming tsunami. That tsunami crashed, all was visible was fear and terror on his look.
"J-Julie?!"
No, he didn't have time to think. He needed to get out, and fast. Wally quickly turned on his feet to run, but he was stopped. Julie was quick to grab him by the arm, tightening her grip as she prepared to strike. Before Wally could think or process what was happening, there was a sudden sound that clapped through the air.
It was loud, causing Wally to flinch. He then felt excruciating pain somewhere in his arm. He looked down and screamed, seeing he was now missing an arm.
"PLEASE, STOP!" Wally managed to scream out in between his pained noises. Tears ran down his face, crying in so much pain. Julie took enjoyment in his cries, he should've stepped away when he had the chance back then.
With a sick, twisted laughter, Julie took the chance and shoved Wally down to the ground. He groaned in pain, trembling as fear and pain overwhelmed him. He was a sobbing mess, the veil covering his face as he looked up at Julie with heartbreak, fear, and betrayal. She stomped down on his leg, causing him to flinch and cry more in pain.
"Stay still. I'll make this as painless as possible for you." She spoke coldly. She made it very clear that she never loved him. She never loved him, and it now too Wally this exact moment for him to realize that.
"N-No, please.." He began to plead. Julie lifted her ax up in the air, staring down at Wally with a horrific grin.
"JULIE, PLEASE! DON'T DO THIS TO ME! I LOVED YOU, PLEASE! NO, NO!!" Wally was bawling his eyes out. His heart beat faster, but not out of love. It was out of fear and terror. Oh god, he was about to die. There was nothing he could do.
"NO!" Was all Wally could scream out as he saw Julie slam her ax down.
Then.. everything went black.
There was no pulse. No heartbeat.
Oh.. he was dead..
Wally was dead..
...
Why..?
Why him..?
It didn't feel real, he didn't want it to be real.
No, no.. he can't possibly be dead.
Somewhere, out there, he was there. It was pitch black. Was he in his mind? That would be far fetched, yet there he laid on the ground. Everything was pitch black. So much pain overwhelmed him, it was difficult to move. But eventually, the pain slowly began to subside.
Wally softly groaned as he slowly sat up. As he sat up, he noticed stitches on his arm that.. was chopped off.
His eyes widened. Tears flooded his eyes as he saw how horribly discolored his skin was. Once a cheery yellow, was now a dark blue that is cold. He looked down at himself, now noticing that all of his precious valuables were now missing.
Wally lost everything. Oh.. he really lost everything.
He couldn't handle this. Wally slowly began to sob as he stared at the ground in disbelief.
"N-No.. I can't be dead.. I can't.. be dead.. No.. please.. Julie, why..?"
Wally held his hands together tightly and held them against his chest as he sobbed uncontrollably. He felt like he couldn't breathe. His heart ached, his body was numb. What did he do to deserve this..?
He didn't understand. He didn't understand anything. Wally sighed with a shaky breath as he continued to sob. He slowly curled up in a ball. All he could do was cry and sob. He couldn't control his emotions. Tears kept pouring down until his head ached.
Wally loved Julie. She meant the whole world to him. She was the one who made his heart flutter. But now?
She was the one who made his heart stop beating.

Girl on fire || Leah & Nicole
TIMING: Last night, 3am LOCATION: Fully Booked PARTIES: @phoenixleah  & @nicsalazar SUMMARY: A bookwyrm infestation gets out of hand. Forcing Leah to take desperate measures. CONTENT WARNING: None.
Leah couldn’t imagine a worse nightmare than the one she was facing now.
Sure, she’d dreamt about nightmarish bookwyrm infestations plenty of times, but dreams were dreams and by the time she woke up from her slumber, they were mostly forgotten.  But this,  this… she didn’t know how the shit had hit the fan so fast.  She’d been too distracted, clearly, with worries about Arden and the goo and just about everything else in town.  Because a normal Leah (a Leah whose mind was free to think clearly) wouldn’t have brushed it off when Fabian mentioned seeing “two little weird worm dudes” in the break room a few weeks ago.  And after all, while Fabian was an excellent employee, most of the time, he was just like any other spacey twenty-something who sometimes ended up working there, so it made sense that she didn’t immediately see it as a threat, right?   Right?!
But before she knew it, Fully Booked was Fully infested.  The phone was ringing off the hook with complaints that they’d been sold books with no words inside.  People were bringing potential purchases up to the front counter in pieces.  It was a catastrophe.  And it was getting worse by the minute.  It seemed that wherever one looked in the store, they could easily spot nine or ten of the little suckers, just itching to suck the words off of the first book they could get their little disgusting mouths on.  And if she didn’t do something quick, it was going to get worse.
At this point, the store was so infested, Leah had to close it down for a week just to save face.  The wyrms were everywhere, and it seemed like they were doubling by the minute.  Leah knew that now it wasn’t only Fully Booked’s inventory that was at risk, because with such a high rate of reproduction, she was worried about the literary future of all of Wicked’s Rest.  She couldn’t let that happen.  Not with how many important books there were in the town.  Not with the library and the scribary and just… everything.  Not even if it meant sacrificing everything in her own store to stop it.
Which was why Leah was standing just inside the front entrance of her very own store at three in the morning with her girlfriend; the store she built from practically the ground up and meticulously chose the inventory for, ready to burn everything inside to the ground.
Nicole didn’t trust many things. It was a work in progress, she knew. Trust wasn’t a feeling she was familiar with, nor a word she’d ever use lightly. She hoped, one day, once the tender parts of her heart weren’t so tender anymore to be able to throw the word around more easily. For now, however, there were roughly three things in her life she trusted: Her proficiency to come up with the worst-case scenario, her ability to persist despite adversity, and Leah. She trusted Leah above her damn self.
If that meant, being up at three in the morning, ensuring their pets were safely in their apartment with no possibility of sneaking downstairs, because Leah announced they had a “literary emergency” then so fucking be it. She did exactly that. Leah wasn’t taking this lightly. She would never make the choice of burning her lifelong dream over a simple inconvenience. No, the infestation had gotten out of hand. It happened right under their noses, and Nicole knew, as heartbroken as her girlfriend was, that she also carried a huge amount of guilt for allowing it to happen in the first place. She’d heard her lamenting all evening, looking back on what she could’ve done better. It was easy, to get stuck on errors, to dwell on mistakes until fully consumed by those thoughts. Nicole didn’t want that for Leah. She knew too well how fucking slippery that slope was. They had to act, and fast.
She trusted Leah above everything, which is why she didn’t question the way she wanted to approach her problem. By burning it all down. Alarms should’ve been going off, she was a firefighter, aiding the woman she loved in arson, basically. This fire, Leah’s fire, was unlike anything she’d ever dealt with in the forest. Nicole knew Leah had control over her powers, flames were less likely to jump around and threaten their surroundings. But like the cautious pair they were, they had still come up with safety measures. They couldn’t leave anything to luck. So they wouldn’t.
Her eyes were patient, taking in the sight of her girlfriend, small with grief. Nicole would rather someone punched her in the stomach. She swallowed against the knot in her throat, picking up one of the boxes filled with books deemed unsavable and walking over to the center of the room. At least Leah had managed to save every scribe book, and locked them up upstairs. It was one of those silver linings she would’ve never looked for, before meeting the woman in front of her. She grunted as she set the box on the ground, ignoring the sting of pain in her lower back. She moved slowly near her girlfriend, offering a hand.
“Just the box with the duck herding books left. You sure you don’t want me to add it?” There was a lilt of teasing in her voice. She knew it would at least get a laugh out of Leah. Those fucking duck herding books were likely to survive the apocalypse at this point. Unwanted, even by bookwyrms. “We can still back down,” she reassured gently, bringing a hand over Leah’s shoulder and pulling her in. She trusted Leah, more than anything in the world. But Nicole still needed to ask. In case the woman she loved had somehow, very uncharacteristically missed another solution to their problem. “Are you really… confident you wanna go ahead with it?”
Somehow, over the time it took the bookwyrms to completely overtake the store, they somehow ended up upstairs in their apartment too, so Nicole and Leah had taken the better part of the day to bring down what they couldn’t salvage of Leah’s personal library. It was a devastating blow, to pile up books to burn that she’d been collecting since she was a teenager, but the fact that the bookwyrms had managed to make their way up to their home in the first place made it obvious that this was the right thing to do.
She let out a low sigh and grabbed Nicole’s hand, squeezing it tight. There was a smile and a hint of a chuckle, soft and amused, at Nicole’s joke.  “We’d better not.  They might just come in handy after all… we’ll change our name to Fully Ducked.” She resisted the urge to lean into Nicole completely, lest she irritate her back anymore than it already was.  “It needs to be done”, she confirmed with a nod, although she was shaking her head.  She still couldn’t believe this was happening.  “If I don’t do it now, I truly never will.  And we can’t let them spread any further than they already have.  The scribary and the library… they’re just too important.”  A book was a book.  And books and literacy were such important parts of her life, but knowledge was so much more than just words on a page.  “One day, we’ll look back on this and know we did the right thing.  We’ll laugh at ourselves for being so hesitant.”
She sent a final look to Nicole, and she felt her face soften at just the sight of her, despite the hardness of the situation that surrounded them.  Then, she turned back toward the store, toward the shelves she built with her own two hands; toward the books she coveted and loved to pass on to the people of Wicked’s Rest.  And then, in the hand that wasn’t squeezing Nicole’s, she created a fireball.  There was no hesitation or uneasiness in the flames that rested there.  Instead, there was assuredness.  Leah was ready.
Nicole had kept her firefighter brain on at all times, even if she was dealing with a extremely rare type of fire. Maybe in hindsight, none of these measures would be necessary. But considering they were already losing one steady income, she couldn’t possibly risk losing their apartment because they were careless. She had been adamant about moving the books that needed burning right to the center of the room, away from walls or other places the fire could jump to. Even if that meant emptying almost every shelf. She had made sure to push against the walls every other surface or material that could potentially serve as fuel. She was heavily in charge of all physical activity needed to get the bookshop the most adequate shape for the controlled burn. It was, in a lot of ways, like doing her job. It had been arduous, sure. Especially with a back that continued giving her unexplainable pain, but at least she’d been able to keep her hands busy. Chase away the anxious thoughts.
Because she was fucking anxious. So many things could go wrong. She had seen Leah’s fire. She knew what she was capable of. But what was needed now was far more than a flame in her palms. It required power she’d never seen on display, even if the other had in her. As always, her mind was plagued by horrible scenarios. Leah could hurt herself. Her apartment could be touched by the flames. The bookwyrms could still be there by the end. What if it was in vain? She didn’t like any of it. But again, she trusted Leah. She wouldn’t do it unless something bigger was threatened.
Seeing the small smile cross Leah’s features more than soothed her own nerves. Reminded Nicole who was losing her dream so suddenly and unfairly. Her heart ached for Leah. “Can’t sell them with a discount then— bad for business” she raised an eyebrow, letting out a breathy laugh. She pulled Leah closer, lips gently pressing against her hairline. “Fully Ducked is too close to Fully Fucked… kids will bully you” Nicole pointed out in an absent mumble. She was really thinking about it. What they’d do after. What was next? Leah would land on her feet, surely, but it was possible she’d hurt herself in the process.
“Okay,” she nodded, her hand rubbing up and down Leah’s arm soothingly. Leah wasn’t backing down, she was determined —as always— the same arguments they had gone over earlier resounding with a lot more finality now that the stage was set. “Alright. Then— fuck. I’m— Gotta do it” she stepped away, Leah’s hand still in hers, while her gaze darted around not to lose sight of the fire extinguisher. “And your fire— How you feel about that? This is— don’t think I’ve seen you do something this big before”.
Leah chuckled again, despite herself- no, despite the situation.  She was facing something devastating and colossal and Nicole was managing to make her chuckle.  Even in a moment as desperate as this, she wondered how she got so lucky.  “No, we’ll be needing all the full priced duck books we can get, won’t we?”, she asked rhetorically.  Looking back at Nicole, she managed to shoot her a playful shrug, shaking her head as if to quell her worry of these potential bullies.  “I’m not afraid of them.  The bullies can come up with all the names they want.  That immunity spell I made up when I was 10 made me immune to their vicious words.”
Though Nicole had stepped back, their hands remained clasped, and Leah squeezed hers as she answered her inquiry.  “I know it’s big, but I have it covered.  I’ve been… practicing while you’re away”.  Apparently, Nicole had yet to notice that they seemed to have new sets of bedsheets each time she returned, the former ones being burned in Leah’s elaborate practice.  “It’ll take a lot out of me, yes, but it’s definitely possible, okay?  And there’s no one better than you here to fix things if they do go wrong, right?  We have two opposite ends of the fire spectrum on our side, and the apartment will be fine.  I’m sure of it.”
The flames in her hands kicked and buckled, desperate to be released.  “I think Abuelo Luis would be proud of this decision, don’t you?  He thought I might know best what to do with this building, and he, well… he cared about knowledge and the preservation of it just about more than anyone I’ve ever met, so… I think… he’d think this was the right decision.”  She swallowed hard, only half believing what she was saying.  She wished merely speaking it into existence would make it so, but she wasn’t so sure. “We’ll rebuild our inventory.  With donations and fundraising, it won’t take long, I think.  No, this is only a page in Fully Booked’s… Book.  There are so many chapters that haven’t been written yet.”
Leah’s light chuckle filled the room, and Nicole’s gaze softened. It never stopped feeling like an accomplishment, making her smile. Especially now, when their future looked a little more uncertain. “Should be thankful— They refused to disappear from the backroom.” Saved by duck herding, who would’ve thought? “We’ll need your best saleswoman skills.” She knew Leah had struggled with those books in particular, but surely she’d rise to the occasion. If anyone could sell something as useless as duck herding books it’d be her. She was the scrappiest person she’d ever met.
Leah had mentioned honing her fire skills before, it became somewhat of a necessity after they were attacked by a hunter in broad daylight. But how far Leah went in order to perfect her craft, Nicole wasn’t sure. Even as she and Andy took care of the man in the art walk, she had fumbled slightly. But if Leah said she had it covered then— she had to believe she was speaking from confidence, and not from stubbornness. It looked to be the case, Nicole knew her enough by now to be able to tell the difference. “Won’t let anything happen to you” she promised, solemnly. And though she was referring to this moment right here, in the bookstore, she knew that to be true for the rest of her life.
She glanced back at the measures she’d taken to ensure nothing happened to Leah and the rest of the bookstore: A bucket of water on the ground. Just enough to give the woman a shock, not… end her life. Thick blankets to snuff out the oxygen and kill her flames faster. The obvious fire extinguisher, if the flames from main fire rose too high. The fire department’s number ready to go, if things truly, got out of control. That wouldn’t— It couldn’t come to that. But if it did, she knew she’d have to follow the rest of their plan, which was to exit the building and let Leah go up to rescue their pets. She’d fought that one the most, but eventually understood why she’d only be a hinder. Nicole was weighing the pros and cons since Leah had come up with her plan. For example, earlier that day, her heart sank to her stomach at the thought of the flames engulfing nearby apartments like Agatha and her tap-dancing ghost husband's. But being so close to kickoff, watching the fire crackle on Leah’s palm was making reality sink in a whole lot faster.
“He was right”. Her lips pressed into a somber grimace, her lips unable to go with a smile at the mention of Leah’s grandfather. Her girlfriend had always spoken so highly of him, Nicole felt like part of her knew him deeply. She wished so, at least. Judging what she knew, she had no doubt the man would’ve been proud of Leah regardless of whether she never built the bookshop. She hadn’t been there for the start of the remodelation, but she’d seen the pictures. Leah had built Fully Booked from the ground. Luis would’ve been over the moon. “You’re taking care of his journals, the rest can be restored” she repeated one of the first arguments Leah had brought up when she came up with the idea. Nicole figured the repetition would bring some extra assurance. “If anyone can do it, it’ll be you” she nodded, her faith in Leah snuffing out whatever doubts remained. This was a hiccup. Or— The literary analogy was smart too. Better.
Her hand reluctantly let go, stepping back closer to the wall. The extinguisher was by her feet.  “Whenever you’re ready. I love you. You got this”.
“Never thought they would actually come in handy.  Maybe I shouldn’t have been giving them out like candy”, Leah retorted.  She was glad, at least, that they’d have something to build their inventory on.  “I don’t mind being Fully Ducked to keep us from being Fully Fucked, at least for now.”  Nicole had thought of everything her mind couldn’t comprehend.  It was no secret that fire safety wasn’t exactly her forte, it was kind of exactly the opposite, actually.  But her final words of reassurance were all Leah really needed left to urge her forward, and, with a final sigh, she got herself started.
Swiftly, she threw her first fireball toward the pile of books in the center of the room, the flames catching the infested pages rather quickly.  She watched the fire- rage and anger destroying what was left of the pages and, more importantly, the menaces inside that had started the destruction. Tears fell freely down her cheeks, the emotion that spurred them on strong enough to heal even the worst of injuries, but there were no vials to catch them, not this time.  As the pages burned, she thought of when she first walked inside the building after her grandfather died, crying similar tears to the ones she was now.  Although, those had been born out of sheer grief and desperation, and the ones that fell now were angry and bitter.
She thought of all the customers who walked through her doors, of the bell that signaled when someone was entering or leaving.  She thought of the events and the bulletin board, and the cute little children’s section that a local teen painted one summer.  She thought of Fabian’s awful fall display and the years of tactful, symmetrical displays that came before his.  These thoughts weren’t cathartic or comforting.  If anything, they served to make her angrier, and more desperate to turn back time and experience it all again.
Leah watched as one of the bookwyrms managed to wriggle out of the pile and into another pile of books to its left, and the very sight flipped a switch in her mind.  Suddenly, the anger came to a head, and she threw more fire at the next pile of books, making sure to send a particular amount of heat to all the worms that were feasting there.  She wished she could smell their flesh burning in the air.  With a yell, she sent another fireball at some piles of books, and then another, and another, until all the books were alight with rageful, licking sparks.
At some point during this process, she had switched into her flame state, but she was too busy (or angry) to notice.  The fireballs were coming nonstop now, and some of them were threatening to take over Nicole’s fireline.  But she kept throwing, and she kept yelling, and she kept hoping, hoping, hoping, that those godforsaken fucking wyrms were feeling every ounce of pain she was.
Nicole let out another huff, her second poor attempt at a laugh. She wasn’t so sure about the store rebranding, but in the end, it all helped Leah get out of her head before her impossible task. Distract her from the real pain and grief she was feeling over the loss of her dream with some quirky hypothetical. And— No, not a loss. It was a pause, of sorts. If she were a more adept wordsmith, she would’ve tried her luck with another literary metaphor, but that wasn’t the case.
She crossed her arms over her chest, mostly to stop herself from wanting to reach out, as Leah got into position, and began channeling her power. And— shit. Did she need music or something? Of course, she’d forgotten about something. No matter how many time she went over the plan, she knew something would slip. Maybe she could still find “Girl on fire” in that… Spotify app. Her mouth opened to ask, a second before Leah whipped her first fireball toward the books. Okay. She was going to be fine. No need to fret, it would be detrimental to both of them if Nicole freaked out. “I’m right here behind you” she spoke, mustering far more composure than she felt in her bones.
There would always be a part of her that found fire fascinating. Which, Nicole supposed was contradictory with being a firefighter. Or maybe it made perfect sense. From the casual bonfire, to the blazing inferno she dealt with at work, to this, phoenix flames licking at blank pages, soon to leave no trace of the books it was consuming or the worms that doomed them to burn. She understood why someone could be drawn to the beauty of a fire. The colors, the movement. Nicole welcomed the warmth spreading beneath her sternum, the temperature rising in the room, the heat radiating off Leah as she watched the all too familiar sight before her eyes.
As expected, the flames moved by Leah’s command, unlike any other type of fire Nicole had ever seen. Some, rather, most of her fears were squandered watching her girlfriend retain her control. Pride wrapped around her ribcage and love swelled in her chest. Nicole was certain there wasn’t anyone as incredible as her girlfriend. She noticed a few of the worms trying to escape their fate, only to be engulfed by fire a moment later. It was going well, despite the clear exertion Leah seemed to be feeling. Her breath grew ragged from the effort, her heartbeat spiked, sobbing sounds escaped her lips. Nicole felt ill.
Something burst amid Leah’s flames, her body no longer fully human, long wings expanding. Nicole had never seen Leah’s body transform this way before, and it continued doing so. Until she was closer to a majestic flaming bird. Teetering towards the full flame state. Something was off, though. It shouldn’t have come to this.  “Leah…” her voice rose above her normal volume, the tension evident in her tone. What if this meant her control was slipping? If her own experience was to go by, she was no longer in charge of her body once the animal took over. She had to snap Leah out of it. She didn’t like the idea of shocking her with a bucket of water, as much as it had been planned. She knew there could be consequences to her fire. “LEAH!” she shouted, hoping her words could still reach Leah’s ears. “You did it— You… that’s enough to burn it all down. Trust me!”
Leah had forgotten where she was.  She might have even forgotten who she was.  At the moment, all there was inside was rage and devastation.  It was always interesting to hear how often the two intersected, weaving together as one or teetering in and out of each other like threads of fabric.  And when the two intersected, it was so easy to get lost in them.  To gravitate towards them like moths to a flame, until they consumed everything. All her thoughts were focused on fire and lost memories, and revenge, and wasted potential, and god damn fucking book wyrms.
Oh, and also, a tiny, sweet voice somewhere in the background calling out her name.
Nicole’s heart was normally such a gentle, steady thumping that Leah was surprised she didn’t notice its erratic beat before she heard her voice calling her back.  But where once there was nothing, there it all was again, and Leah somehow felt whole again.  The shell anger had disappeared as quickly as the flames that surrounded her body did, and all that was left, for now, was the despair.  Well, the despair, and a take-charge attitude.
“My phone”, she heard herself whisper, holding her hand out to Nicole to hand it to her.  She didn’t let go of Nicole’s hand after she gave it over, but instead leaned into her, exhausted and sad and spent.
“Hello?  I have an emergency, please come quick”, she said through teary eyes to the fire department.  Was that Nicole’s friend, Greg?  “There’s been a devastating fire at Fully Booked.”

In response to that ask about the amount of Jungkook fics:
With Jungkook I feel like he doesn’t really fit in a mold. He is constantly trying to break barriers as an artist and as a person by trying new things all the time. He doesn’t want to stay in one place and he has so many hobbies and is constantly diversifying himself.
Not to say the other members don’t do that as well but I feel like he just brings us into his life more and so we see it happening all the time. Especially this past year with over 30 lives in his own home showing us who he is and what he does day to day.
I am jk biased I will admit but idk something about him just feels like he can really play any character you want him to.
All of the members grow and change all the time but I feel like Jungkook does it more drastically if that makes sense lol like he’s really quick to just do something because he wants to do it (tattoo, piercing, boxing, motorcycle, etc) he’s essentially making himself into a fanfic version of Jungkook while also being the sweet little bean he is lol
Idk I can gush about him all day but again I’m not trying to bash the other members at all these are just my observations from being an Army for over 5 years lol
i see where ur coming from but i don’t think it has anything to do with their artistry or anything like that. i think all of the members are constantly breaking those barriers. i dont really have any trouble writing any bts member into a role like i could write all of them as boxers or cyclists or teachers or ceos or assholes or nerds
the thing with jungkook is, like u said, he’s actively giving us this content, he’s deadass become the fanfic ver of himself that i’ve seen over the years and its funny how he’ll come on live to say things that we as writers would write in his characters dialogue. i think thats why its so easy for me
and i get it, i can gush all dayyyy😭 i absolutely adore all the members and have for almost 8 years now, i’ve been here for 8/10 festas, i was here to witness them winning their first daesang, i remember creating a twitter account to vote for their first bbma, ive seen them literally grow into the people they are today.
but thats why i also wanna make clear that irl bts =/= fanfic bts. at the end of the day, bts (in my fics) are face and name claims. i don’t want to associate my written bts w the real bts ever, its primarily why i don’t like/will never write idol aus (at least the bts we know them as). thats why i have no trouble writing any of the members in random scenarios or in random roles.
and don’t get me wrong, i definitely have story ideas in which im like “this member would be perfect for this” but thats more so bc of the aura they carry (every bts member has that specific vibe to them you know) but i could just as quickly switch it up with another member

2022
This one's probably going to sound pretty hostile. That's because these were for the most part, written as it was happening. The other ones were written and explained thoroughly awhile after the fights, so I wasn't necessarily upset while writing those. These ones, I'm not going to edit to seem nicer. I want you to see and read every emotion I was feeling when it happened.
_________________________________________________________
January
January 4th:
i mention how i’m not excited for the -18 weather tomorrow
“oh you work inside”
“yeah barely over half the time i’m there”
“you just walk room from room”
i mention that i actually spend more time outside than that bc we have to carry everything back and forth across property by hand
“oh but still you’re in the warm rooms most of the time”
yup okay. not having this argument.
“i’m just saying i’d be doing that in a t-shirt.”
okay.
“i would!”
Notes: You're constantly trying to minimize everything I do. I work, you work harder. I'm cold, you're colder. You were getting legitimately mad at me for trying to mention how much time I actually spend time at work...such a pointless argument yet you had to win this one, just like always.
January 24th:
I really need to get the fuck out of this house and away from you. You came home today AUTOMATICALLY in a pissy mood, spitting attitude at me. You cut another finger open, yeah that sucks. But you came in practically barking at me to call my mom to give you a ride to the store. No sweet hellos. Fuck you.
I called my mom, asked for the ride, she headed over. Before you know it you call your mom/dad and they end up offering their help, that's great! But then I have no way of calling my mom to tell her not to come get you yet. When I tell you she's already on her way, you get pissier and yell "jesus FUCK!"
As if it was that big of a deal? Fuck dude. Not to mention the string of attitude you gave YOUR mom on the phone because she couldn't hear you for just a second. You just yell "hello?? helLOOO??!" OVER and OVER again. Get the god damn memo, sometimes people can't hear you it's fucking FINE.
There's no god damn reason to get that fucking pissed off over something that isn't even the other person's fault. No matter how good or shitty the phone service or weather, technology is technology, and sometimes it bugs out a little bit for FUCKS sake. Shut the hell up. It's fine. No fucking reason for you to get so god damn upset all the time.
    Jesus you piss me off.
January 26th: There's no fight to document today, I'm just in my feelings...I'm having trouble grasping that this is gonna end sooner or later. I find myself having to force my mind into imagining scenarios where I have a happy/healthy relationship. It helps. This sucks because some days we do pretty well. But I just can't let go of all the past hurt. I cant. I think we could be "perfect" for years, and I'd still hold onto all the hurt. You've bruised me. Physically shoved me so hard that I've lost my balance and fallen to the ground. You've hurt me. That alone should have been enough. But I'm so dependent on you I can't leave. I can't do it on my own. But I'm not happy. Sure, we have happy moments, but I'm not happy. You get even SLIGHTLY upset and I find myself swearing that I hate my life and to an extent, that's true. I hate it here. I hate walking on eggshells. You lose something it's all over. A phone call drops or cuts you it's all over. So many things trigger you RIDICULOUSLY easy. You miss an alarm? Ape shit. You're so fucking quick to anger and that has NEVER changed. I left you at the end of July last year, and told you pretty much everything I'm typing here. Nothing has changed. Except instead of drunk texting Lexy, you FUCKED her lmao. I cant. I can't do this. I know about the girl you scheduled a date with DAYS after I left. DAYS. I spent my nights crying myself to sleep because my entire world shifted and I didn't know what to do. And you were out at the bars making date reservations with other people. Which is fine, you're allowed to move on, I'm not saying you can't. But it had been DAYS.
February
February 11th:
“i’ll do dishes before you have to make dinner”
you say you gotta go run errands and i ask u to bring me ONE single water from cenex
*leaves to give zach $200 and give wesley weed you owed him*
you come back like an hour later say ur high as fuck bc you smoked w zach and wesley. didn’t bring me a water. probably not gonna do dishes bc it’s now 7 pm.
i’m not making dinner.
then you get a wild hair up your ass to make edibles, and still don't clean the kitchen, just make it MORE of a mess so you can make some fucking weed cookies.
________________________________________________________________________________
that's honestly one of the last times I logged anything negative. I've lost all motivation and all hope that things will ever change. Nothing ever will. You'll always be controlling over money. You'll always worry more about spending what extra money we do have on weed or alcohol and act like we're gonna go into debt every single time I ask for anything. I can't even count on two hands how many times I've heard you tell me that we can "get it next paycheck." or "soon we'll get it" i've been hearing it for YEARS. Even when I'm making my own money and paying as MUCH of the bills I can. Anything left over goes straight in your pocket and you get whatever the hell you want. Not anymore. I'm done. We've been on a HANDFUL of dates. I don't try anymore. I used to beg to go on picnics and it's never happened. You always tell me to remind you but I shouldn't have to remind you. That feels like a burden, that's not fair. I'd love to surprise you with dates, but you dont ever let me have control of any of my own money, and anything we ever do end up doing together gets tainted because you get mad or grumpy at SOMETHING that happens and ruins the whole mood. It always happens. When we lived at Sam's house, I came home from work to a candlelit dinner once, that was lovely. We had those same candles for four more years and not once did i ever come home to anything sweet EVER. Sure, neither did you, but why would i wanna spend my time and energy on something for you when  all you do is scream at me or storm around the house pissy about something that never even had anything to do with me???? It makes no fucking sense. I'm done. I'm tired.

What are Binary Options and Why Are Binary Options Dangerous?
https://www.schaeffersresearch.com/faq/faq_answers/questions-about-options-trading/what-are-binary-options
*NOTE: Schaeffer's does not endorse the usage of binary options. This answer is purely informational as we are regularly asked about binaries by our clients* Binary options are a type of exotic option that offers traders an all-or-nothing payoff -- you either win or lose. The basis behind any given binary options trade is whether the underlying asset will be trading above or below a specific price at a specific time, and the apparent simplicity of the marketplace -- along with the allure of quick profits -- has generated quite a bit of interest in binary options. However, binary options trading comes with enormous risks, pitfalls, and drawbacks. And for those operating without the right expertise and guidance, the losses can add up just as quickly as the profits. In fact, promotion of the use of binary options is forbidden on major search engines like Google. How do Binary Options Work?
As the name indicates, binary options offer traders a "yes or no" proposition on each trade. Exchange operator Nadex phrases the underlying question of each binary option as, "Will this market be above this price at this time?" For example, if a speculator thinks that, yes, crude oil will be above $50 per barrel at that day's settlement, he could buy the corresponding binary option. Alternatively, a speculator who thinks that no, crude oil will not settle above $50 per barrel, would sell that binary option. Binary options are priced anywhere between $0 and $100 in the U.S., and those numbers also reflect the two possible monetary outcomes for every trade. If the trader's yes/no bet was correct, the option is "in the money," and it's worth $100 at expiration. That figure, less the initial cost of entry, is the profit on the trade. If the trader's yes/no bet was wrong, the option expires "out of the money," and is worth $0. In this scenario, the initial cost to buy the binary option is written off as a loss. Binary Options vs. Stock Options
While the maximum profit on a winning binary options trade will always be $100 less the cost of entry, stock options allow the investor to reap profits that are up to 200% or more of the original premium paid -- a feature known as leverage. In most cases, we won't even take up an options buying position unless we expect to at least double our initial investment. And in fact, when buying call options, the profit potential is theoretically unlimited, since there's no cap to how high the underlying share price can rise! So, right out of the gate, equity options offer far greater profit opportunities than binary options. The outcomes on a losing trade are often preferable with equity options, too. While binary options are an "all or nothing" proposition, a trader whose stock option position is moving adversely can take steps to close out the position before it's at a total loss. And even for trades that do eventually incur the maximum 100% loss (equivalent to the initial premium paid, as with binaries), the far greater profit potential ensures that the risk/reward profile is more appealing for equity options trades in just about every possible scenario. Finally, equity options are available to trade on a huge number of stocks and ETFs across a wide variety of exchanges and platforms, with expiration dates listed just about every week for the most popular assets, and strike prices in increments as small as a half-point. Plus, the industry and markets are highly active, liquid, and regulated. So you can fine-tune your strategy to match your forecast just about exactly, and then you can rest easy knowing that your trade will be executed and carried out smoothly So what's a binary-curious trader to do?
If the binary extreme "all or nothing" approach ruffles your feathers, but the thought of quick profits on simple trades leaves you drooling, there is a solution. For any trader looking to dip their toes into the profit pools of options, weekly options are… frankly, a better option. An options trading program that focuses on trading weekly options – that is, options that expire on the Fridays  outside of standard expiration -- may offer the perfect compromise for traders who wants to chase quick gains with minimal risk. With weekly options, you can "customize" your expiration date, so you aren't paying for time premium you don't need, and you're still able to capture money-multiplying profits on short-term equity moves, limiting both your risk and market exposure.

How would the fellers react to overhearing their s/o talk about them to other camp members. I just know I would be gushing about them
Arthur
Arthur passes through camp with a hay bale over his shoulder, bringing it over to the horses when he hears his name. Stopping in his tracks, Arthur listens intently and soon realizes you’re talking to Mary-Beth about him.
He doesn’t mean to eavesdrop but he could feel a wave of anxiety wash over him as soon as he comprehends it’s you talking about him and Arthur slyly listens in. Panic fills him as Arthur assumes you’re complaining about him but the more he listens the more he understands you’re actually gushing over him.
Arthur can’t even begin to describe how loved he feels hearing how happy you are with him. His chest gets heavily and his cheeks become warm. He carries on with his task and afterwards when he notices you’re finished talking to Mary-Beth, he makes his way over to you and captures your lips in a kiss, mumbling that he’s a very lucky man to be with you.
Charles
Charles is busy tending to the horses when he overhears you. It takes him a while to register that you’re talking about him, feeling somewhat surprised at how much you are gushing and swooning over him. Charles knows you care about him but to hear you saying it to someone else is a honor to him.
He doesn’t stay there for too long, hastily moving away so you don’t think he’s purposely eavesdropping. Charles can’t stop smiling for the rest of the day, repeating your words of praise over and over in his head.
That evening, Charles comes clean and tells you he accidentally overheard some of your conversation. He’s relieved to see you’re not mad and tells you how much he loves and appreciates you too.
Dutch
Dutch knows exactly what he’s doing. Of course he’ll say he “accidentally” overheard you but Dutch has planned this out. He loves you and trusts you undoubtedly but he still wants to be absolutely certain you’re happy with him.
He listens in for about 5 minutes, analysing every word you say. If you allude to wanting to go anywhere or try anything then Dutch makes a quick note of it in his head, making sure to surprise you with it later in the week.
Dutch does eventually reveal that he’s there, acting as though he’s just strolling by when he hears his name. “Are my ears burning?” He chuckles, wrapping his arm around your waist as he gives you a knowing look.
Micah
Micah usually lurks around the outskirts of camp so it’s easy to not notice him leaning against a tree or wandering around by the wagons. When he hears you talking about him, he can feel his heart thumping in his chest, presuming you’re obviously talking about him cause you’re planning to break up with him.
Micah tends to jump straight to the worst case scenario so he’s preparing himself to fight with the other gang members, thinking they must be trying to convince you Micah’s not worth your time. But then he hears more.
Honestly Micah feels a little stupid for presuming the worse. A goofy smile forms on his face as he listens to you talk about him. As tempted as he is to reveal he’s there, he does like you enough not to embarrass you or fluster you in front of whoever you’re talking to. Instead he waits until you’re both alone, teasing you about it then. Yep, Micah won’t let this go for a longggggg time
John
Whenever John accidentally overhears people talking about him, 99% of the time they’re complaining about him. Whether they’re calling him lazy, immature, stupid or laughing cause he can’t swim, he’s kinda used to it now.
So John doesn’t hesitate, immediately butting into your conversation and ready to disagree with whatever complaint you’re making about him. “Hey my eyes ain’t dreamy, they’re brown” he interrupts.
It’s only when John hears himself does he realize you were actually complimenting him. He gets flustered, stumbling over his words as he mutters an apology and thanks you for being so kind.
Javier
Javier stops the second he hears his name. At first Javier thought that maybe you were trying to call him over, not realizing that you're talking to someone else. But before he can disclose he's there, Javier comprehends the situation at hand.
He's torn, feeling like he's invading your privacy by listening in but loving each word you're saying. Javier only stays there for a few seconds, listening closely as you finish your sentence before he starts to move again.
Javier acts as though he's just walking by now, making it obvious he’s there and so you call out to him. Once the other person has left, Javier asks if you were talking about him, kissing the side of your head. When you admit that you were but you weren't saying anything bad, Javier calls you cute, giving you a sly wink before going about his day.
Sean
Sean could feel his stomach drop when he hears you say his name. Normally when he overhears people talking about him, they're moaning about him (no, not in the good way) so he gets really nervous.
Sean knows he shouldn't listen in on your conversation but he's scared he has accidentally upset you so by listening in, Sean hopes he can make things right again.
The more he listens to you gush about him and talk about how happy he makes you, Sean can feel his heart become warm. Completely interrupting your conversation and exposing he’s been eavesdropping, Sean calls out to you and opens his arms for a hug, saying all the things he loves about you too.
Bill
Bill gets real worried real fast. His mind instantly thinks he's fucked up and the only reason you're talking about him is because he's pissed you off somehow. The colour practically drains from his face for a few moments.
He intentionally listens in, hoping that if he can learn what the issue is so then he can quickly resolve it. It takes him a few seconds to realize you're gushing about him, listing off all the little things he does to make you happy.
A small, relieved smile forms on his face and Bill walks off. He doesn't see the point in telling you he was there, if anything he's scared it might start an argument because he was 100% eavesdropping. It’s definitely the boost Bill needed and he makes sure to treat you like royalty for the rest of the night.
Trelawny
Trelawny’s behind the tents, picking some colourful flowers for you as a surprise. When he first hears your voice, he gets excited and hopes he can quickly pick a few more and give them to you now, oblivious to the words you’re saying.
When he eventually starts to pay attention to your conversation, Josiah’s jaw drops open. He knows you love him but to hear just how much you appreciate him truly makes him feel cherished.
He quickly makes you aware of his presence, saying how he didn't mean to listen in but that he does love to listen to you gush about him. Handing you the flowers, he gives you a peck on the lips and suggests you both go away for the night.
Hosea
Hosea’s brushing Silver Dollar's mane when he notices you talking to Arthur. He’s about to go over and greet you both when he hears you say his name. Without thinking, Hosea stops dead in his tracks and listens in.
Hosea is a little taken aback to hear his name, feeling a pit of worry begin in his stomach. He stands there for a few seconds, a concerned look on his face. He breaths a sigh of relief when he hears you praising him and not complaining about him.
Regaining his confidence, Hosea clears his throat and walks over. He apologises for interrupting your conversation and asks for a moment alone with you. As soon as Arthur walks off, Hosea kisses you sweetly, admitting to overhearing the lovely things you said about him.

Hawks [Keigo Takami] x Reader Drabble/ One Shot
Ask: I have a ✨ request ✨. So what if hawks and his little baby are out on the street for some reason and a group of villains starts attacking so hawks has to jump into action after telling his baby to hide and not move and while he’s fighting he looks and sees reader, who’s qurikless, protecting his kid when a villain looks like he’s about to hit her. He swoops in and saves them! You can make his reaction be whatever, but I think the scenario would be a cute way for hawks to just immediately fall head over heels for the reader :)
Sorry it’s been taking me so long to do all of these asks! I don’t want to force it since that would be bad.
Hawks found his son to be the cutest thing ever, but then again most parents would put their kid as the most precious thing to grace the earth. The baby, however, was kind of wary around strangers, and this became more evident once the little tot could walk and talk.
Even with this fact, the child was not shy at all, taking after his daddy’s charisma. “If you’re good, I’ll buy you whatever toy you want.” Of course Hawks spoiled his baby boy, who cooed happily in his father’s arms as he walked down the street with him. Never mind the fact that several civilians were looking at the two in awe, snapping photos brazenly of the famous hero out with his son.
“Two toys?” the baby bargained.
“Of course!”
This cute and endearing moment was short lived as immediately Hawks had no choice but to put his guard up. He was the hero who was too fast for his own good, after all. So when what could only be a villain swooped down, Hawks was quick to react, having his son on the sidewalk as he countered the villain’s attack in seconds.
Normally, it would be easy to make work of the intruder, but once two more showed up, Keigo knew this would take a bit longer than he thought. “Go hide and don’t move!” he quickly told his son before carrying out his duty as a hero. By the looks of things, it appeared as if these villains were making a getaway from a bank and freaked out upon seeing a well-known hero.
The baby boy was a bit frightened as he saw all the commotion going on. He just wanted to be in his daddy’s comforting embrace. Tears started to well up in the little toddler’s eyes, but once he felt some gentle and warm arms around him, he no longer felt as scared. “Are you alright, sweetie?”
Looking up, he saw that this wasn’t his daddy, but instead a kind stranger, it was you.
You had just been going on about your day when you noticed all of the commotion, and seeing a little toddler hiding by himself made you want to spring into action. So, you held him close, protecting him. You didn’t care that you put yourself in danger.
You did attract the attention of one of the villains who came charging at you and the baby boy. You pulled him closer to your chest in defense, but luckily that strike never came.
Okay, maybe it wasn’t luck.
Several red feathers stopped the villain in his tracks and knocked him down with the others, causing you to let out a sigh of relief, “Daddy!” the little boy cried, squirming out of your arms and running to the hero, hugging him close. Wait, was that Hawks?!
“Are you alright?!” he asked, picking up the little boy and embracing him tightly before he turned his attention onto you. “Thank you so much for looking out for him. I didn’t expect to run into any villains today.”
You smiled softly, “It’s no problem. When I saw him I couldn’t help but to want to protect him...I didn’t think about the fact that without a quirk I wouldn’t be of much help.” You felt a bit bashful at that, but this was mostly you realizing that you were truly powerless and didn’t help much.
Hawks looked at you with slight amazement in his eyes, which certainly caught you off guard. “Daddy!” his son said, getting his attention, “Dhis nice lady made me feel safe.”
“Oh, did she?” he asked, chuckling slightly, “You’re usually uncertain around strangers, so this is news to me! Be sure to thank her properly.”
“Wight! Thank you!” the boy cooed. You couldn’t believe how cute he was, so you giggled.
“Why don’t you tell us your name, so that we can thank you properly?” Hawks asked. You could tell by the sound of his voice that there was more to this, and that was further confirmed when he asked, “And maybe if you’re free this weekend as well?”
“Sure,” you smiled.

Could you write a scenario for each of the turtles where they sneak into to a hospital through the window and visit the reader who is staying the night after they broke their arm?
A/N: i feel like i could've wrote this funnier but hope you enjoy!
Tumblr media
Least to say, you weren't expecting any visitors when you ended up bedridden in the hospital.
Well, it wasn't all that serious really. You got a bone fracture in your arm after a little skateboarding incident but, the doctors wanted to keep you overnight for observation and to help ease you through those first hours of sheer pain.
Back on topic though- you wondered why you didn't think that you wouldn't see any familiar faces pop by during your stay considering the company you kept.
And by that you meant they would 100% be the type to break into a hospital just to visit you.
Leo: - You honestly thought he would've tried to sneak in dressed as a nurse knowing Leo and his ideas.
- But no, this time around he had snuck in through your window and did so, so stealthily that he nearly gave you a heart attack when he cropped up right next to your face sudden.
- Thankfully you realized it was him before you could let out a scream that would've alerted a nurse or doctor.
- You laughed the fright off and he took a seat on your bed next to you.
- He started off idle chatter about how you were feeling and the specifics of how you ended up here, and you enjoyed the company as much as you knew he should've waited until you left tomorrow for his own sake.
- You couldn't not appreciate that he had come to check on you.
- You're not sure that you had known anyone before the turtles that would've found a way into your hospital room after visiting hours to make sure you were absolutely okay themselves.
- You made sure to let Leo know that too.
- He smiled sheepishly and ruffled your hair; he'd break into a hospital any day for you. You were one of his best friends after all. (Of which the turtles only had you and April).
- The sentiment made you snort and you smiled back at your goofy friend with a giggely thank you.
- You wouldn't have it any other way.
- Regardless, you had to admit that he probably should've left for the lair before the morning rolled in instead of staying so long into the night getting caught up in nighttime conversation with you that he wound up passing out like you did.
- He had to narrowly avoid being caught by the staff and you tried not to bust out laughing at his "timely escape".
- Which was Leo having to scramble out off the bottom of your bed where he'd sprawled out on so he could launch himself out the window when the nurse came to tell you that you were ready to be discharged.
- The sound of a yowling cat as he landed in the dumpster outside didn't help your case either.
Donnie:
- You...you weren't expecting the impromptu doctor costume.
- Or for him to immediately start out his sudden visit by prodding at your cast the second he was done clambering through your room window.
- Donnie insisted he just wanted to check on the sturdiness of it, but you still had to swat him away so he wouldn't fuss over it.
- With a sigh, you let your arm fall back across your stomach. You didn't have to ask to know why he was here because you had a good guess already.
- You invited the turtle to sit on your hospital bed and after hesitating for a moment, he plopped down.
- He cleared his throat and asked you how you were feeling.
- You smiled and told him that they were giving you plenty of painkillers, Dr. Dee. It wasn't a gnarly break, so you were lucky in that regard and didn't need any heavy duty treatment.
- Donnie nodded with closed eyes and folded arms.
- He told you everyone was worried about you and you poked his bicep, telling him to tell them that you definitely weren't dying or anything.
- Donnie looked down at you and poked you in the nose, telling you that a broken arm still wasn't anything to laugh about.
- You wriggled your nose with a puff. You knew that but you also knew that you would be able to recover just fine.
- Even though Donnie didn't show it like his brothers would've, you knew he had come all this way to make sure you were getting treated properly. (Even though you certainly were).
- After his fussing, you and Donnie played a few rounds of Mario Kart on his switch while chatting. You were sure he was going easy on you because of your arm but you didn't say anything about it because well, who could ever complain about winning?
- When you wrapped up, you let him sign his name in an almost obnoxious purple that glinted neon in the dark on your cast and he told you not to break anything else.
- You laughed and replied that you didn't plan on it.
- The answer seemed to be good enough for him as he left and after the nurse came to turn out your lights for you, you laid back in your bed and stared for a long while at the glow in the dark signature on your bum arm before falling asleep.
Mikey:
- You had to shush him the moment he launched onto your hospital bed.
- He was immediately poking and prodding at you, and asking about whether or not your arm still hurt.
- You laughed softly and shook your head. You reassured him you were doing much better compared to earlier.
- Mikey was happy to hear about that, settling down a bit and sitting down.
- He asked if he could touch your cast and you gave a nod.
- He touched it very gently, wrinkling his snout at the coarse feeling texture of it under his fingertips.
- Then he looked up at your face and asked the question you knew he was probably waiting to since he got there.
- You gave another soft laugh and said yes, he could sign your cast.
- With a wide smile he whipped out some markers he was carrying with him and got work scribbling on your cast.
- You quickly got the feeling that his "signature" was going to be much more elaborate than just that.
- And you weren't wrong as he spent the better part of an hour, chatting with you as he drew.
- Truthfully, you hadn't been able to get to bed at all before Mikey dropped by and having him here was nicer than tossing and turning, waiting to fall asleep.
- Eventually, he's done and you're amazed by the graffiti style doodle now on the corner of your cast.
- Mikey beamed at the look on your face and asked you what you thought. To which you were quick to say it looked amazing.
- You ended up having a chat about art and you two did some doodling in one of your notebooks before he had to go back to the lair so you could call it a night.
- He wished you a goodnight and you promised to be over the next day to spend some time with your favorite turtles, and when you let your head rest on your pillow, sleep found you much easier than you thought it would before Mikey got there.
Raph:
- You were surprised a herd of staff didn't rush to your room as he had to all but force himself through the window and knocked over an IV pole and those little carts that held nurse supplies.
- Of course, a sweet little nurse did pop in to see if you were alright and you told her that a strong breeze must have done it all.
- She bought the story and Raph, who had ducked under your bed and raised it a good foot or two higher, crawled out.
- He asked you how you were doing and whatnot, and you waved off his worries.
- Still, he didn't seem very sated by the look on his face.
- You reached out with your good arm and gave him a pat on his. - In truth, Raph felt bad that he nor his brothers could've been there to prevent your injury; as stupid as that might sound.
- And he seemed to think you would laugh at him as he admitted that to you.
- You didn't think it sounded stupid in the slightest though. A lot of people feel that way when it comes to people they care about, you reassured him.
- You felt the same every time the turtles had altercations with the villainy lurking in New York.
- That seemed to work and you were glad to shake some worry off of Raph's big ole shoulders. He had enough of that while trying to lead the gaggle of turtle brothers.
- You patted the side of your bed and almost regretted the gesture when it groaned in agony at Raph's mass.
- You tried to laugh it off, hoping internally that the bed would turn out okay. You were just happy that it was holding up for now. But, you were surprised that Raph didn't notice the potential problem.
- You two spent a while just idly chatting and Raph recanted the brothers' recent encounter with some villains last night. You eagerly listened and enthused about it alongside the behemoth of a snapping turtle whose giddiness about things always reminded you he was truly a softie.
- After some hours, he got around to leaving once he signed your cast in big, blunt red letters and the hang out session made you feel like you really did have friends looking out for your more than you realized before.

Fake Proposal • John Stones
I saw a video on instagram and got the idea but as usual I got carried away, writing like a 4k long piece so read it at your own risk.
-
"Ugh" John sighs letting himself down on the couch resting his head on your lap, one of your hands immediately going into his hair as you smile.
"Your mother again?"
"My mum again" he sighs before hiding his face in his hands and holding back a moan in his throat, "She's been breathing down my neck with the whole marriage thing. Please help me"
"How? It's not like you can pretend to have a girlfriend and propose" you state slightly but his eyes snap open staring at you.
"No" you thunder, "No John. Get that look off your face. No" you shake your head covering his eyes as he squirms managing to lock your hands between his.
"Please, please (Y/N) help me" he pleads and you're the one who has to try not to meet his gaze so you don't give in to that madness.
"They'd never believe us John, everyone knows we're friends"
"That's exactly why it might work (Y/N)!" he sits up abruptly, "if I do it with a random person it would be suspicious" his gaze is lost somewhere, his eyes move as if he's picturing everything and you can almost see the wheels of his brain in motion.
"And then how are you going to do that? Your mother wants a wedding, she won't be satisfied"
"I'll buy some time, she'll be less on my back at least for a while and then I'll think about it" he looks at you expectantly, he seems really determined even though he would never have thought such a thing until just now.
"Please (Y/N). I don't like fooling my mother like this either but if I hear again how I'm getting older and need to start a family I swear I won't answer for me anymore"
"Fine" you sigh closing your eyes, missing his surprised expression and then his big smile before he literally throws himself at you.
"John! John John John" you giggle trying to get him off you, "don't get into something bigger than you"
"I won't, don't worry"
-
Don't worry. Sure. He makes it easy.
John seemed to take it all lightly, just happy to get his mother and her demands off his back for a while. He'd booked a cabin in the mountains for a couple of days ready to spring into action as soon as possible, counting down the days just like kids waiting for Christmas Day to open their presents.
You must have been crazy to have agreed to help him with something like this, you kept repeating it by packing your suitcase or letting people know you wouldn't be home or waiting for him to pick you up. And then you had decided that if nothing you would enjoy that couple of days' holiday at his expense.
You look around to see if you've got everything before you leave, when John honks. He gets out of the car to help you put your bag in the boot as you close the front door, but it's only when you're both getting into the car and you've fastened your seatbelt that he leans in to leave a kiss on your cheek.
"What's all this sweetness Stonesy, are you afraid I'm going to say no?!" you tease him as he starts the car, shaking his head.
You take over the radio, spending the ride humming songs and complaining about not finding the right one and asking John if you're there.
"(Y/N) I swear, you're a pain in the ass" he sighs before turning right heading into a driveway.
"If you had told me where we were going I would have checked it out myself" you retort looking around as a few houses finally start to appear under your gaze.
"You really need to learn how to chill out" he sighs, "And anyway, we're here"
"I'm totally calm" you state getting out of the car slamming the door on purpose earning you a warning look. Men and their cars.
And you leave him to pick up the bags you brought while your eyes don't know what to look at first. The swing next to the door strikes you immediately, you've always wanted one but never had the space so you immediately rush onto it climbing the stairs waiting for your friend with a huge smile on your face.
"Come on in, let’s go pick out your room"
"I get to choose?" you ask rhetorically following him, being captivated at first glance by what's in front of you. The place is similar to all the ones you see in typical Christmas movies, wood seems to be the main material of the whole construction and the fire in the fireplace is already lit giving the room a pleasant warmth.
"Sure. But only if you're quick" one look and you're already running down the stairs trying to pull him by the shirt and not fall at the same time.
"Mine!" you flop down on the bed panting deciding to go straight for the farthest room in the dark, "go get my suitcase now"
"We're not engaged yet, you can't boss me around like that" he argues leaning against the doorframe sneering but you dismiss him with a wave of your hand.
"What if the other room is nicer?" he asks returning and placing your bag at the foot of the bed, you don't hint at moving from your comfortable spot.
"I like this one" you murmur clutching a pillow to your chest.
"Yeah but what if the other one's prettier?!" his tone blatantly mocking as you roll your eyes giving in to curiosity, complaining loudly as you get up and make your way to the other room.
You open the door thinking you're going to find who knows what, but you find that it's a copy of the room you just left. And his bags are already there so he knew that, that bastard.
"But they're identical" you murmur confused, looking around for a sign of diversity but not finding it. "John! They're the same!" you complain turning to him and hitting him with an open palm on the arm receiving only laughter from him.
"Stop teasing me"
"Sorry sorry. I couldn't help myself"
"Keep laughing, I'll have fun later John Stones" you try to scare him but the smile on his face that doesn't hint at disappearing tells you that you failed in your intent, making you roll your eyes.
-
The first of the two nights you spend there goes by without a problem, well at least after you get familiar with the place and calm your brain because not all the noises you heard were due to thieves. And the next morning you and John have breakfast still sleepy before he proposes you to take a tour around there, the day before you had gone to the city to fill the fridge and you had stayed there and it didn't seem right to spend days away from the city without really spending days away from the city.
After getting ready, you take a path not far from the house and following the various signs along the way, you find yourself in a place that is stunning to say the least. You find yourself on a bridge built over a river, on one side of which there is a small waterfall, creating a unique and relaxing atmosphere.
"You don't want to do this now do you?"
"Ssh you have to look natural" he leaves a light kiss on your cheek before throwing a sideways glance and you call on all your strength not to follow his gaze, pretty sure you'd run into some guy intent on filming the moment.
"Now I'm going to pretend to tell you something cheesy so pretend to get emotional" he starts gesturing and you can't hold back the giggle that escapes your lips as he drops to his knees.
"(Y/N)" he gives you a knowing look and you cover your mouth with your hand trying to hide that smile, from a distance it will look like you're really excited instead.
"Okay so... I need to spend some time like this. It's uncomfortable and um blah blah blah will you marry me?" John starts ranting taking a small box from his jacket pocket.
"You didn't really buy a ring" you mutter shocked when he opens the small box, the surprise completely true at that moment at seeing that item.
"Are you going to hurry up and say yes? My knee is crying out for mercy" he presses you gritting his teeth as you then quickly nod and he gets back to his feet holding you close to him.
"You could have at least prepared a speech" you murmur in his ear tugging at his hair slightly as he laughs, pulling away to put the ring on your finger. His hands actually shaking as he does so and then he draws you to him unexpectedly, connecting your lips with his.
-
"I knew I'd find you here" you smile turning your head towards John, him handing you a cup of hot chocolate sitting next to you on the swing while you adjust the large blanket over your shoulders even around his as you can.
"What does your mum say?" you sigh blowing on that steaming drink looking ahead of you.
"See for yourself" he unlocks his phone quickly opening the conversation with his mother.
'Mum I did it' he had texted sending a picture of him kneeling in front of you and you hugging then.
'Johnny! Omg yes!!!!' 'Wait... is that (Y/N)?' 'I knew it' is mum's frantic reply making you giggle as he pulls back his phone not letting you see anything else.
"I'm glad she likes me" you giggle taking a sip of chocolate.
"She's always liked you" he retorts and silence falls between you two for a moment before he sighs.
"(Y/N) if you're upset about that kiss, I'm sorry"
"It's alright John, it was an act" you reach out to set the mug down, "after all which proposal is believable without a kiss" you joke elbowing him in the side as he sighs passing his arm around your shoulders pulling you to him. Both of you not so sure about it.
-
"I believe this is yours" you murmur taking off the ring and handing it to him, for some reason you didn't manage to give it back to him either the night before or over the course of that day and now that he's about to leave after driving you home it's your chance. It's now or never. But he is quick to shake his head and tighten that object in your hand. "No, keep it... in case my mother comes to visit"
"Don't" you point your finger at him making the most threatening face you have triggering his laughter. "I can't keep my mother at bay"
"John"
"(Y/N) listen, it's just a scenario. It's not going to happen"
"You can't be sure of that"
And in fact a few days later, when you had finally decided to go out grocery shopping, you opened the door and found the woman in front of you. The surprise had been such that you stood open-mouthed in front of her for a few moments before you shook yourself and made her come in.
"Were you going out dear?" she asks you going to sit on the sofa casually as if she was coming to your house every day.
"Just a bit of groceries, I can go later" you had dismissed it removing your jacket and sending a panicked message quickly 'I'm going to kill you!!!'
"Good" the woman looks around before congratulating you on the house, to which you reply embarrassed.
"Oh don't be embarrassed (Y/N), we're going to be a family soon after all" she states and you clear your throat, "Can I get you anything, some water or tea...?"
"A glass of cold water thank you" you apologise then and quickly go to the kitchen opening the fridge and hiding behind it you take the phone back into your hand.
'John Stones!!!' 'Your mother is here!' 'I'm going to kill you'
John doesn't even view the texts and you can't stand there forever waiting so you grab the water jug and take it to the woman.
"I don't want to take up so much of your time, you might be wondering why I'm here" the woman smiles after taking a sip.
"Um I can guess" you hide your nervousness around your glass, struggling however to down a sip of water.
"I assure you I'm not always this nosy" yeah right, "but with John I worry maybe a little too much" you smile at the woman's bluntness, taking time to observe her better you can see how much she actually looks like John.
"I never know how to handle him, he's always been so secretive about everything and I've always tried to push him because I want what's best for him" you don't know if you read right into it but it sounds as if the woman is trying to apologise for something. And you open your mouth to say something but she beats you to it.
"You've been friends for a long time, I should have seen it coming" you gasp with a suddenly blank mind, internally screaming at yourself to get yourself back into sense so you don't look even more hopeless. But apparently the woman is more focused on something else and doesn't notice your obvious discomfort.
You follow her gaze, caught by a photo of you and John from a few years earlier. You're not fond of pictures of yourself around the house, where everyone can have access to your memories, but John had given you the frame begging you to put it there, so you had pleased him.
"Can I just ask how long you've been together?"
"I don't know" you answer without thinking before widening your eyes trying to make up for it, "I mean... there was no specific date. It just happened I guess"
"I really should have seen it coming" for a moment it's as if she's lost in thought, shaking her head in disbelief, "there isn't a day we don't end up talking about you and he's always so fidgety when it comes to you"
"Really?" you ask surprised straightening up with your back as your phone vibrates but you don't feel the need to pick it up.
"Yeah, and he always has a smile on his face when it comes to you"
"John smiles all the time, I don't think that can be considered a one-off"
"Yeah but there's ways and means of smiling. It reaches his eyes"
-
"What happened? I was at practice I just saw the texts. I'm so sorry (Y/N), I'm going to have a good talk with her" John speaks sharply as soon as you pick up the phone and you have to raise your voice a little to make yourself heard and shut him up.
"It's okay John" you state around a spoonful of ice cream, the container in front of you.
"I'm sorry (Y/N) I swear, that woman crossed every line" he mutters and you can imagine his serious expression, his eyes a little darker than usual and half-closed, his nostrils flared.
"John no" you stick your spoon into the ice cream sighing, "don't do anything hasty, just calm down. Where are you? Are you driving now?"
From the other end of the phone only silence comes before you hear a sigh, "I'm on the road"
"Come to my place okay?"
The drive hadn't been that long to your house so you can still sense the annoyance in his figure and his gaze as he walks in and heads into the kitchen immediately eyeing the box on the counter.
"Why are you so annoyed?! Where's the carefree Stonesy from the last few days?" he looks around before stealing the spoon from your hands and taking some of that ice cream after sitting down on the counter.
"And why aren't you in full hysterics?" he retorts taking another spoonful of ice cream as you roll your eyes.
"I was at first, I wanted to kill you if you remember, but then we talked" you walk over to him taking the bowl out of his hands as he groans trying to take it back.
"If you're hungry I can make you something"
"That is fine"
"I don't think it's good for you" you put the lid on before setting the box down in the freezer before turning to him again, seeing him with his arms crossed giving you a dirty look. You do the same raising an eyebrow, you've become an expert at holding up his game over the years.
"What did she say to you?" he gives up shortly after relaxing his figure by swinging his legs, "she didn't treat you badly did she? She can be a bit-"
"Nosy? I noticed that" you shake your head opening the fridge just to do something as he pushes on. "Well?"
"Hmm? Nothing, I guess deep down she came to apologise because she didn't know we were together and apparently she's been pushing you into a lot of random girls' arms lately and stuff" you gesture shrugging and closing the door, giving him just a sidelong glance.
"Are you sure? There's nothing more?" John checks wary, it's your apparent calm and the bowl of ice cream you were practically devouring that put him on his toes. He'd practically been able to feel your panic through those texts you'd sent him and then he sees you and you seem to be a different person.
"You know me John, if there had been anything else or she had disrespected me in any way I certainly wouldn't have kept it to myself" you try to sound as calm as possible but your playing with that ring, taking it off and putting it back on, gives you away.
"Come on say it" he sighs, lowering his gaze to his shoes for a moment as you raise an eyebrow. "What?"
"Just say it"
"John I don't know what you're talking about"
"I told you. Just say it" and he looks like he's ready to be hit just as if you were going to do it with a punch or something. But you just sigh as you move closer to him, his ankles linking lightly to your legs seeking contact.
"How long are you going to keep this up? Because I'm with you, I'm in now and I'm going to keep playing along. But your mother is just that, an eccentric mother only concerned about her son"
"So if we actually get married..." he leans his head slightly to the side smiling innocently as you smack him on the forehead rolling your eyes.
"Did you hit your head lately? Did you even hear what I said?"
"You said you would like to be with me"
"I said your mother is a good person, and she doesn't deserve this" you retort without giving your brain time to process what he's telling you.
"But if you really think about it, it would be perfect. I'd solve all my problems by not turning out as a liar and you'd have me"
"Did you just imply that I can't get a boyfriend in a normal way? I hope not"
"Sorry, I didn't mean that" he chuckles at your threatening expression pulling you to him and leaving a kiss in your hair.
His gaze is lost somewhere, he's so easily distracted you almost read surprise in his eyes when he lowers his head and realises you're still there. "John, what's going on with you mh?"
"I don't know. I guess I'm starting to really think about what my mom says. And that she's right. When football ends, what will I have left? What's wrong with me? Why couldn't I find anyone?"
"Hey no John listen to me carefully now. At thirty you may be considered old in your profession but I can assure you that for the rest of us life begins at that age" you take his face in your hands gently stroking his cheeks with your thumbs making sure he sees and hears you above all, "you will have all the time in the world to find someone if you want to, to start a family and come to terms with the fact that you are getting older and your hair is getting white"
"Never" he quickly retorts, making you giggle, "I'll never have white hair"
"We'll see... if you can keep those curls, you'll be trouble even when you're old"
"Oh wow so you think I'll make it to eighty still on my own?!" he jokes strengthening his grip on your legs and moving forward slightly.
"Eighty? You have very high expectations for your life" you downplay by moving your arms along his neck.
"Aah what would I do without you" he sighs happily holding you close to him again, "Promise you'll always be by my side?"
At your non-response, his grip becomes more pronounced literally crushing your face into his chest. "Promise me"
"I promise. I promise" you giggle making his chest vibrate with your laughter as well. Quite often you're the one with the identity crisis and John has to play the therapist, calming you down and reminding you to get your feet down on the ground. But often the roles are reversed and you're the one putting the boy's pieces back together, happy that all those years of friendship have created a relationship where he's not afraid to be fragile and let himself be fixed.
"You'll always have me" you remember him in his arms, and when you pull away to let him know with your gaze too, he's already there looking at you. You see his face move closer to yours and instinctively you step back.
"Please I need to know"
"Know what?" his tone is almost a plea while there is confusion and nervousness in yours.
"If what I'm feeling inside is true" he knows you well by now and he can catch your eyes widening in surprise for a split second, a reaction that to unfamiliar eyes might not have happened.
"Can I kiss you?" you nod but you're already closing your eyes waiting for his lips to touch yours again.
-
"What are you doing?!" you ask giggling to yours and John's brother upon seeing the two of them exchanging some money.
"He bet fifty bucks your engagement was fake. And he lost" your brother is obviously very happy to have earned something in that whole thing, your brother-in-law is not so happy though.
"You bet on us?!" John asks incredulously at your side, an arm around your waist.
"Is that so unbelievable?" you hide your smile in the glass in your hand.
"You don't know John if you ask a question like that"
"Eh I can assure you I know him quite well" you two exchange a look of understanding as your brothers pretend to vomit. And you leave them arguing about the validity of that bet, turning away from everyone to have a moment alone in the garden of that facility that hosts you.
"Are we ever going to tell them the truth?"
"Who, to those two? Nah my brother deserves it"
"But mine doesn't" you quickly retort making John chuckle, "I'm sure we can find a way to take them off him"
"How?" you ask interested as he leaves a kiss on one cheek before moving closer to your ear, "We can steeal them"
"John Stones! You're such a bad influence on me... Let's do this" you rise up on your toes to search for his lips. "Anyway, your family is so damn crazy, nothing surprises me anymore"
"You're not completely normal either admit it"
"Hmm maybe you're right. I must have been pretty crazy that day to going along with you"
"Just that day?" he teases earning himself a hit on the arm before he draws you back to him to kiss you.
"I can't believe we actually got married" he sighs connecting your foreheads gently.
"Who knew my happy ending was always right in front of me"
"Sometimes I think if it wasn't for my mom we'd still be wandering around looking for someone"
"You mean your mother would still be introducing you to some girl"
"Are you jealous?" John smiles cheeky as you do the same. "Oh you know there's this little thing called a divorce"
"Oh no. No no no no, not now so many things seem to make sense. Don't even think about it" he shakes his head energetically tightening his grip on your waist as you laugh, running your ringed hand through his hair.

Thank you ahead! ❤️💓
OH MAN THIS TOOK SO LONG IM SORRY! I had so much fun with this and I really hope that it was well worth the wait thank you so much for requesting!

Riddle
♡ Honestly, you get a serious kick out of surprising people with your strength. Everyone always underestimates you, thinking that you’re too scrawny to pick up a chair much less even try picking up a person. You always protest about it, but unless someone actually wants you to show off just how strong you are you rarely get the chance to show off just how strong you are. Your fellow students would lose it if they found out just how easy it was to get swept off of their feet - you yanked Ace up into your arms once when he made the mistake of teasing you about it, giving him a little hoist into the air for good measure and cracking up at the shocked wheeze he let out at how easily you lifted him. Needless to say you’re pretty strong even if you don’t look it.
♡ You’d been lying if you said you hadn’t at least been a tiny bit tempted to carry Riddle around if only to see how he reacts - just thinking about the priceless look on his face was an amusing thought, but it remained as thoughts because as funny as it would be you value the life of yourself and your fellow classmates over the idea. It just so happens that thanks to a certain series of events, you actually get the chance to see the scenario play out in real life, surprisingly through no fault of your own.
♡ There’s certain times of the day where the crowds of students around Night Raven College swell and dissipate depending on where you are. In the middle of the day the rush is arguably the worst to anyone hoping not to get lost within a swarm of students bustling from their classrooms. It’s the period right before lunch actually starts, and whilst you should technically be in class right now, you’d all gotten enough done that you were allowed out a few minutes earlier than usual. Frankly you were more than happy for the extra minutes - it meant a few precious moments where you could tear through the hallways and get to the cafeteria to nab a snack before the main crowds started clogging up the exits as they did everytime the lunch period rolls in.
♡ You’re humming around a mouthful of the sweet treat you’d snagged from the days menu when you cross paths with Riddle, and though he doesn’t look too chuffed about you eating food outside of the appropriate dining hall he doesn’t call you out on it. You two fall into stride retreating down the hallway from where you’d first entered; it seems that you’re both heading towards the same area and you don’t mind the company so it suits you just fine to spend a little time with the dorm leader before going your respective ways for the next class. The peace doesn’t last for very long - soon enough the rest of the classes are being let out, and you’re suddenly reminded of why you were rushing to get away from the dining hall in the first place.
♡ All you see is the dinner rush crowd making a mad dash to the cafeteria and you act without thinking. You just know that Riddle would step in to enforce at least some kind of order to the pandemonium, but even if he could scare the crowd into stopping they’re still going to barge right over the two of you at this rate, and you’d rather avoid having the ghosts scraping either one of you off of the hallway floor. You’d much rather suffer through getting reamed out by Riddle for the stunt you’re about to pull than getting trampled by a stampede of students with no sense of personal space. When you mutter a quick “sorry!” Riddle gives you a confused look, which turns baffled when you toss your snack for him to catch in order to free up your hands (he catches it, thankfully - you don’t wanna make the journey back to buy a new one.)
♡ It’s a swift motion - all Riddle feels is your hands grabbing hold of him and suddenly the world is spinning and he finds himself pulled right up into your arms as you race back the way you’d come. His shout falls deaf on your ears in favor of the curses you’re chanting under your breath as you run, shifting the dorm leader around in your arms till you find a good enough position that he’s not going to fall out of your hold as you pick up your pace.
♡ You’re fast, and strong enough that carrying Riddle is no chore at all - you could probably do this under normal circumstances with no problem, not that you’d probably get the chance to after this. That little fact can be stewed over later, you decide, instead focusing on finding a place to get out of the way of the crowds. It isn’t long before you find an open classroom, and no sooner have you skidded through the doorway do you watch the student horde race past, completely oblivious to the pair of you. You let out a breathy laugh, more than a little relieved as you lean up against the doorframe and finally cast your gaze down to the boy in your arms.
♡ Yep, you were right about the priceless expression.
♡ Okay, so maybe the sudden grab and dash had left the dorm leader looking a little more...disheveled than usual, if the popped collar and skewed strands of hair from where his head had been pressed against your chest are any indication. You’re guessing that he’s still reeling from the fact that you’ve hoisted him up and carried him away like a princess as though he weighs nothing, because he doesn’t immediately start chewing you out about your little escape. His face is beginning to flush though, reaching the midpoint between pink and that signature red that’s close enough to match his hair; you certainly don’t make things any better when you move him around in your arms again, lifting him up a little more as your head ducks down.
♡ Riddle bristles, stuttering whatever planned retort he’d had only to freeze when he realizes you’re leaning towards the snack he’s managed to hold onto as you’d run. Your teeth snag its corner and you let out a triumphant “ha!” that’s muffled as you ease back up to finish off your self-proclaimed reward. It’s at that moment a soft cough turns both of your attention to the rest of the classroom, where several loitering students give the pair of you curious looks at the display. That finally kicks things back into gear, and you narrowly avoid dropping Riddle with how hard he wriggles out of your grip, working quickly to act as though the whole thing never happened which earns him an amused snort as you resolve to finish off your snack whilst he fixes his collar.
Leona
♡ Food has become a very effective bargaining chip when it comes to bets with your fellow students. You’re pretty sure placing monetary bets would get you in trouble if you were caught by one of the staff (especially Crewel, you don’t think anyone can handle his punishments more than once), and with all the maintenance going into your dorm betting money just isn’t an option you’re interested in. Food on the other hand is always in the ballpark, and with the limited edition dishes that pop onto the cafeteria menu throughout the year, alongside some of the phenomenal cooks amongst the student body, there’s no shortage of food bribes to use as a motive to get things done.
♡ Your strength has come into play on more than one occasion, because it either leads to people trying to call a bluff and wanting you to prove yourself, or they wanna see just how strong you are. You certainly don’t mind thanks to the little rewards your feats manage to net you, plus it makes for an interesting point of conversation when you’re bored. It’s boredom that leads to the following conversation with Cater during break - being outside the only real entertainment is walking around, talking to other students that cross your path, or just lounging around till the break’s over.
♡ You’d been walking around with Cater for a while before the appeal of watching the scenery faded and you elected to find some place to sit. You’re leaning against his shoulder watching him text and swipe through his pictures to pass the time; soon enough an image of you shows up and you snort at the picture of you holding up Deuce by his legs. It was taken a while ago, and the telltale shit eating grin on your face is a testament of how amusing the whole situation had been; seeing it now sparks up the same conversation you’d had at the time - can you really pick up anyone with no problem?
♡ Eager to jump at the opportunity for entertainment, the two of you turn your eyes across the field, where Cater takes to pointing people out. Epel? Easy, but wouldn’t be too happy about it. Kalim? You’ve done it before and it went pretty well minus the fact that his enthusiasm made him damn near slip out of your arms. You answer yes to most of the people he points out to you, until his gaze lands on someone lounging under the treeline and he points them out to you. Following his line of sight, you catch sight of Leona and the two of you share a look as you huff and say that yeah, of course you could pick that big lug up!
♡ Cater asking you to actually prove it wasn’t what you expected, and you give him a doubtful glance trying to gauge if he’s joking or not. Turns out he’s not, and at your hesitation he offers a bribe to convince you, and at the mention of one of Trey’s signature tarts you visibly perk up. He doesn’t even have to pull out the treat from his bag before you’re up onto your feet and jogging right over to the treeline, shooting him a confident grin over your shoulder as you approach the sleeping lion.
♡ To be honest, you probably would have tried this at some point anyway, but Trey’s tarts are a hell of an incentive to do it right now, and it’s the driving force that steels your resolve as you approach him. You know that he notices you - you’re not exactly quiet, and while he doesn’t open his eyes or turn to look at you his ears twitch in your direction at the sound of your footfalls coming towards him. It’s only when you squat down beside him that he cracks an eye open and lets out an inquisitive grumble asking you what you’re doing.
♡ You only tell him not to worry, but that just makes him more wary given that every time you’ve said that before it’s definitely cause for concern. You end up proving him right to be wary when you shuffle close enough to actually touch him and slot your hands under his back, promptly hefting him up from his once comfortable spot beneath the shade and into your arms.
♡ Leona jolts in response and you narrowly avoid an elbow to the ribs at how he squirms about at the sudden position change; his ears are pressed flat against his head and he squares you with a scathing look as he orders you to put him back down, calling you a brat for good measure. You only huff at the dorm leader and strengthen your hold on him, making sure to keep one hand safely cradling his back as you spin around to show Cater your latest catch. There’s no missing the amusement in Cater’s face as he makes a poor attempt to hide his snicker with one hand as he holds up his phone to snap a picture commemorating the moment.
♡ Seeing the camera you flash a smile and a thumbs up with some careful maneuvering of the man in your arms, quickly returning your hands back to him when he hisses and shifts again. It’s probably not the wisest idea to hold onto him for very long, and you can tell Leona’s none too pleased by suddenly being picked up from the spot he was comfortable in, so you don’t keep him up for very long before you amble back over to the trees, setting him down as gently as you can without accidentally pulling in his tail as you pull away. This time his elbow makes a solid hit against your hip on the way down and you end up dropping him the rest of the way, keeling over with a pained wheeze as the pair of you topple none too gracefully to the ground, devolving into complaints and groans at the turn of events.
Azul
♡ It’s not entirely unheard of for Azul to stay behind in some of the classrooms once classes have concluded. Whilst the Monstro lounge is the ideal location to get things done, sometimes the patrons get too rambunctious for his liking and he prefers a little bit of peace and quiet while he works on the day’s schoolwork. The classrooms are perfect for this as most students are all too eager to filter out and go about their own business, leaving the rooms empty for people to mill in and out of as they please.
♡ He works uninterrupted for the most part, only pulling his attention away from the papers spread out across his desk to look towards the door, hearing the chatter of passing students outside though they only last a brief moment before their voices filter off and disappear as they move away from the classroom. These momentary distractions come and go so the school work is almost completely finished by the time any notable interruptions actually come this way. Unfortunately when they do it almost immediately stops him in his tracks; there’s a slam on the wall leading out to the hallway, and Azul jolts in his seat as he hears something slide up the wall getting higher and higher before it’s finally revealed.
♡ Azul watches Floyd’s head poke up from one of the overhead windows, and that’s enough to get him to pause mid writing as the pair lock eyes. Now, the Leech twins are tall, taller than most of the students in Octavinelle, but there’s no way that he should be visible so it's reasonable to assume that he couldn’t manage the height without the help of a step-ladder. That step-ladder theory goes out of the window when Floyd’s head drifts over to the far side of the window, and the Leech twin flashes his dorm leader a toothy grin and a wave for good measure as he drifts backwards and forwards in a way that looks...off.
♡ It’s bizarre, but not the weirdest thing that Azul’s seen Floyd do so whilst he does marvel at the sight for a moment or two he tries to return back to his work - tries being the key word here. Floyd makes an effort to peer through the glass, calling down to someone as he leans closer towards the window. That leads to the twin nearly slamming his head into the glass and a hand flies up to stop the would-be injury as he looks down out of the window's line of sight.
♡Floyd’s stance totters and momentarily his head ducks out of view as though he’s dropped. That’s enough to get the dorm leader to his feet to finally investigate, and he rises from his desk and works his way over to the door, letting out a sigh as he slides open the door and prepares himself for whatever trouble is going to be on the other side. Sure enough Floyd’s leaning up against the wall, greeting Azul when he steps out into the doorway. Floyd’s not the only one there though - there’s a few miscellaneous students milling around the Octavinelle students, but the main point of interest is the person standing right below Floyd, arms wrapped around his knees and keeping him up in the air as they twirl around to face Azul without even a tremble in their grip.
♡ The grin you offer him is similar to Floyds, brimming with amusement as you move your grip to offer a wave, shifting your weight around so as to not drop the boy in your arms as you do so. The raised brow and inquisitive look only makes you grin wider before a tap on your shoulder brings your attention back to the person you’re holding. Azul watches Floyd motion for you to lower him which you do without issue, and once you do the younger Leech twin leans down to whisper something in your ear. He doesn’t catch what he’s saying, but when two pairs of eyes suddenly square him with a scheming look he knows all too well he takes a cautionary step backwards, folding his arms across his chest.
♡ You drop Floyd the rest of the way and turn your sights on Azul, beginning to approach him with open arms and a deceptively warm smile as you call out his name. Now he knows that you’re up to something, and moves to take another step away when you suddenly dart to close the distance and pull him towards you. There’s no hesitation in the way that you quite literally sweep the dorm leader off of his feet, tucking him close to your chest as your arms move to rest along his back and the crook of his knees - you’re carrying him like a princess, and from the wide grin on your face this was clearly the impromptu plan you’d been given by that mischievous twin.
♡ Azul splutters, completely speechless at how effortlessly you’re able to sweep him off of the floor and into your arms, and he becomes acutely aware of just how many eyes are on him as you cradle him to your body making sure that he doesn’t fall. Your strength is no joke, and you make a small show of it by twirling around, catching his hat in the process when the action causes it to topple off of his head and placing it neatly back on his head by the time you come to a stop. For a second you could almost say he looks pleasantly amused beyond the initial surprise, which only makes it all the more entertaining for you.
♡ But then Floyd steps forward and goes to take him from your arms and Azul’s desperately patting you until you finally relent your grip and allow him to stand back onto his feet. You and Floyd share a conspiratory giggle as you watch Azul straighten his outfit back out and step out of the reach of the both of you, giving the pair of you a wide berth in case you decide to try sweeping him off of his feet again.
Kalim
♡ Your strength makes you perfect for doing heavy lifting tasks when the time calls for it. Moving things from one place to another has been the jobs left for the more physically strong students, so despite your otherwise unassuming appearance you’re usually the first person people come to when there’s any kind of heavy lifting to be done. You’ve been a huge help at events as a result, and more often than not the other students leave the cleanup to you, confident in your abilities to get things back to where they need to go.
♡ This particular cleanup task had taken quite a while, but with some diligent work and a couple snack breaks you and your friends had narrowed down the leftover mess, packing what could fit into the boxes provided so that they’d be easier to transport. When the inevitable question of which people were going to take what came up you were quick to step in, offering that it’d be no problem at all for you to handle this yourself - it was late anyways, so you’re sure everyone was eager to get back to their rooms for the night. It took a little convincing, but soon enough you’re left alone with the necessary keys and wishes for good luck with the work.
♡ You’d planned to take care of this task by yourself, reasoning that two or three trips should get the job done. You’d actually finished the first trip and was making your way out with the last couple of boxes when you cross paths with Kalim, who upon recognizing your face peeking out from behind the impromptu cardboard tower all but jumps in to help. Any protests fall on deaf ears, as once Kalim’s decided on something like helping you out he’s not gonna stop until it’s done.
♡ Before long he’s taken about a third of the boxes off of your hands (he tried to bargain for more but you were set on carrying the heavier stuff) and the pair of you are off to get them off to the right destination. Kalim fills the silence with conversation as he leads the way, which given the fact you’re the one who actually knows where storage is, ends up with you having to tug him in the right direction more than once before he charges down a wrong corridor. Despite that though the two of you make good progress, and you end up getting there faster than the initial first trip, and within a few minutes you’re nearing the storage room, albeit from a different direction than last time.
♡ You’re shifting about the boxes in your arms to fish through your pocket for the storage room keys with your free hand when you realize you’re getting close. Kalim skips ahead of you as you rummage for the keys, giving you an easygoing smile over his shoulder urging you to catch up. You feign a sigh of exasperation but move to pick up your pace which only prompts Kalim to charge on ahead aiming to get to the door first, still with that easy-going smile.
♡ That smile disappears in an instant however, as when you next blink, Kalim disappears from your field of vision and your heart drops at the sound of something scattering across the floor. Ditching your effort to find the keys, you race to catch up, stopping just short at the top of the stairs and looking down to where Kalim’s sat at the bottom, shaking off the dizziness from the fall. It’s fortunately only a few steps but you still rush to close the distance, hastily placing your bags onto the floor as you kneel down beside the dorm leader to check if he’s alright.
♡ Upon seeing your concern Kalim grins and makes a point to tell you that he’s fine, hoping to ease your worries. This time the sigh you let out is one of relief and you rise back to your feet, offering out your hand to pull him up with a playful jab to watch where he’s going next time. Kalim laughs and takes your hand, but the moment he gets to his feet he yelps and leans to one side, easing up off of one foot. He must have hurt it in the fall and your expression drops watching his smile falter, brows creasing in clear discomfort.
♡ Kalim’s still reassuring you he’s fine despite the fact that he’s visibly doing his best to put as little weight on his one foot as possible. You aren’t convinced in the slightest, and after a few seconds of him talking you’ve had enough; he doesn’t notice you nodding to yourself as you roll up your sleeves, but he does catch your mutter of “Don’t worry - I’ve got this.” as you step forward and place a hand on his back.
♡ You move carefully so as to not agitate the leg more than you have to, tucking your free hand under his knees and easing him off of his feet until you’re carrying his full weight, keeping him upright like it’s nothing at all. Kalim, for what it’s worth, is captivated by the strength, but he’s more focused on asking if you’re really okay with carrying him - he’s fine, he swears! (he’s not). Paying no heed to that, you nudge the boxes over to the side of the hallway with your legs, leaving them in a messy but contained pile to avoid anyone tripping on them while you’re gone. They can be sorted later, is your excuse as you start walking - he’s going straight to the infirmary, and then back to his dorm, the boxes can wait a little longer.
♡ He squirms a bit, but that’s only so that he can wrap his arms around your neck, bringing his head close to your shoulder. Kalim knows that he’s not gonna convince you otherwise, so why not enjoy the ride while it lasts? Besides, it’s nice to feel weightless sometimes! And he’s so sincere when he gushes about how strong you are that you can’t help but preen under the compliments, boasting a little about how you’ll have to properly show off just how strong you are. Some other time though, because as nice as pleasant as it is carrying the dorm leader around, you can do that just as easily once he’s been seen by the school nurse.
Vil
♡ You may not look like you’re that strong but looks can be deceiving. You’re more built than a lot of people realize - sure, it may not look like that to others, but these uniforms do a damn better job of hiding your strength than one might think. Friends and those who have seen it for themselves know that you’re strong, and Vil is one of them; you make no show of hiding that fact, because why would you? It’s something you’re proud of, and you use it to your advantage whenever the chance calls for it, and Vil’s not one to stop you from doing so.
♡ You also don’t shy away from challenges either, if anything they’re one of your weaknesses. Confident in your strength, any time someone questions it you’re eager to jump right in and prove them otherwise. Usually they’re arguments you’ve heard a hundred times before, the same old story as far as you’re concerned, that doesn’t mean the comments don’t tick you off though. Scrawny scrapper this, all bark and no bite that, it gets on your nerves that just because you don’t look that strong they immediately assume that you’re just weak.
♡ It’s a sore topic, and as such Vil can usually pinpoint the trouble that brews as a result of such challenges because of the way you react to such jeers. He’s attempted to ease your anger about it in the past, or at least told you to go easy on said challengers lest you get sent to Crewel’s office again, and for what it’s worth you’ve made fair progress in brushing off most comments.
♡ This time it appears that brushing them off isn’t quite so easy. Your voice can be heard even before you storm into the main hall accompanied by another student, and your planned curse filters off into a hiss to just leave it when you catch sight of Vil out of the corner of your eye. The student however doesn’t let up, and the dorm head soon catches wind of what this is about when he hears “Strong? Seriously? Pff, do you even have any muscles?” Vil can see the way your lip curls back into a snarl, and he turns his full attention to the scene just waiting for the inevitable show of strength you’re about to pull off. You do this every time without fail, and it’s only proven when you snap.
♡ “Oh yeah? Well, do you think someone without muscles can do this?” Vil’s halfway through taking stock of all of the items not bolted to the floor when you spin around and stride over to him, the confident shout of “Vil!” being one of the few warnings that he gets before you’re standing before him and wrapping your arms around him. It’s quick and smoother than he thought it’d be, and were this not the first time you’ve attempted this trick on him Vil could swear you’ve practised this before. Granted, you stumble a little near the end, but that’s more so because you overestimated the swoop of pulling him up into your arms and knocked your hip into a table in the process. Besides that it’s an otherwise practised landing, and suddenly Vil finds himself swept up into a bridal carry by a pair of surprisingly firm arms.
♡ You spin back around, triumphant grin on your face as you heft Vil up even higher, like a child proudly showing off their prize to anyone watching. True, you’re strong, and there’s not a moment that Vil feels like he’s going to fall out of your arms when you’re holding him, but the lack of warning and the abruptness of being hoisted up as though he weighs nothing more than a bag of feathers makes for a jarring situation. Your shout of “Ha! Believe me now?” doesn’t make the situation much better, and Vil has to rub his temples to stop the incoming stress lines at the amount of eyes you’ve drawn to your little display in the process of your shouting.
♡ Whatever challenge had been posed seems to have been sated by your show of strength, as the student throws up their hands in a mock-surrender as they concede, shrugging off the surprise that Vil can see clear as day on their faces. Clearly, they weren’t expecting you to be so brazen about showing off, but you’ve never been one to clam up when there’s a point to be made.
♡ Satisfied, you let out a huff and drop down onto one of the nearby chairs, shaking your head as you grumble “Can you believe that guy? Teach him not to doubt me next time.” It seems you’ve neglected to remember exactly who you picked up, and Vil’s swift to remind you with a soft cough to direct your attention back towards him. You look down at the dorm leader still firmly settled in your arms, lips pursing as you exhale a breath to mask your obvious realization upon meeting eyes with him.
♡ Muttering an apology, you gradually release your grip, giving him ample time to rise back to his feet and you let out a nervous chuckle when he folds his arms across his chest and gives you a stern gaze. Thankfully you’re let off with a chide of giving someone a warning the next time you decide to pick them up, but he doesn’t miss your grin as you parrot back “Next time?”
Idia
♡ Idia had gotten hurt. Those are the only words you needed to hear before you dropped everything and raced over to his bedroom, already thinking of the worst case scenarios. I mean, for a guy who spends the majority of time in his room there’s only so many ways he can get hurt, and none of them are a pleasing thought so you do your best to quash the thoughts till you actually get there to see him for yourself.
♡ When you first step inside his room nothing’s out of the ordinary, as far as you’re aware nothing’s been destroyed and besides the usual controlled chaos everything seems to have been moved out of place. Idia’s even sat at his computer chair which isn’t an unusual sight, though as you get closer you realize he’s got one of his legs pulled up against his chest, hands cradling his foot with a sour expression that morphs into discomfort each time he makes a move to roll the appendage to one side. That sour look doesn’t dissipate when he notices you, but he does jump a bit when you announce your presence by rounding the chair and leaning onto the one arm, leaning down as you ask what happened.
♡ You’ve gathered that he’s hurt his foot, you just don’t know how and as he hunches over even more in his chair you perk up, noting his reluctance. He doesn’t tell you, not at first, but with a bit of prodding he eventually caves that maybe he kind of accidentally got his feet tangled up in the wires under his gaming desk and got yanked right out of his chair when he’d finally pushed himself away from his computer. He hadn’t thought anything of it (besides the obvious embarrassment of getting tripped up in the first place) but the moment he’d tried to stand up it was clear that something had rolled the wrong way, which is precisely what led to him huddled up in his chair glaring daggers at the injured foot as though that’s going to magically fix the injury sustained.
♡ Admittedly, the image of the whole scenario would have made you laugh, but for the sake of your friend (and the fact that he glowers at you when your lip trembles trying to fight back a chuckle) you don’t, instead giving the simmering dorm leader a comforting pat on the shoulder reassuring him that he’ll be fine. Chances are it’s just sore from landing the wrong way - you’ll know for sure once he gets seen by the nurse.
♡ However, when you tell him that he hunkers down, insisting that he’s not budging; it’ll be fine if he just sleeps it off, is his argument, adding that it’s not like he can go anywhere since he’d rather stay put - what’s he gonna do, hop the whole way to the infirmary? Obviously not.
♡ You frown at his stubbornness, but give a determined huff as you hop off of the arm of the chair with a “fine.”. Idia’s surprised that you’re not fighting his decision more, but that surprise lasts but a moment until you lean down and promptly pluck the dorm leader right out of his seat. He just about chokes on his words and twists about in your arms, but you don’t even bat an eye at it as you shift him around until you’re cradling him close to your chest, eventually just settling on a princess carry for the sake of simplicity.
♡ When Idia cries out, asking what you’re doing, you merely shrug and offer “Since you can’t walk, I’ll carry you.” as your explanation. He balks at the notion, but doesn’t really have a leg to stand on when you pull him even closer to you, holding firm to make sure he doesn’t fall.
♡ His hair tickles your nose each time he shifts about in your arms, which you promptly pat back down as gently as you can as you move towards the door, nudging it open with your hip until you can slide the pair of you through the gap. You make a point of ignoring his protest of staying put until he finally relents and settles into you, arms folded across his chest as he leans back. His hair frames his face like he’s trying to hide in the thick blue flames, but even you don’t miss the fact that his expression, once twisted in discomfort, eases up into something more comfortable now that the pressure’s off of his injured foot.
Malleus
♡ You’d like to think that you’re pretty strong, stronger than people give you credit for at least. And you also like to think that your strength is appreciated by the people who know about your carefully honed skill. Lilia is one such person, as he seems to be particularly amused by just how easily you’re able to heft and move things about, be it both objects and people. He’s especially entertained when it’s people, and it’s because of your penchant for carrying people around to show off that you end up with the third-year student bundled up in your arms as you travel through the Diasomnia dorm.
♡ The only indication the others have of the event is when you promptly come striding into the room, arms wrapped around Lilia's waist and hoisting him effortlessly up into the air as you enter. Malleus looks up from what he’s doing to watch the curious display, and upon spotting the fae you shift Lilia's weight to release one hand and wave, grinning as you swivel around and begin moving towards his direction. You’re keeping the Diasomnia student upright with ease, showing no signs of fatigue or strain as you carry him around, coming to stand behind the sofa that Malleus is sitting on and leaning over with a nonchalant question about what he’s doing.
♡ Malleus raises a brow, unsure whether to answer you or ask what exactly you’re doing with Lilia first. Before he can decide however Lilia gives you a gentle nudge to be let down and you take the hint, proceeding to lean over the sofa and drop him none-too-gently onto the seat beside Malleus. The cushions bounce when he lands on them, and though disheveled from all the carrying and the drop, Lilia looks thoroughly entertained by the whole ordeal,
♡ You catch Malleus glancing between you and Lilia, and though you couldn’t hazard a guess as to what he’s thinking you lean forward and chuckle, jokingly asking “Want me to try you next?” as you rest your arms on the back of the sofa. The smile on your face falters a little when you don’t immediately get a response, locking eyes with him for a few seconds too long. When he nods you have to fight every muscle in your face not to look surprised, and you don’t trust your voice to get the words out in response, instead returning the gesture with a blank nod of your own.
♡ The last thing you expected was for him to agree, but you’re never one to back down from a challenge and soon enough you’re standing face to face with the dragon prince once he stands up and rounds the sofa so that you’re standing in front of each other. You’re doing the mental maths in your head as you size up the dorm head. It’s not picking him up that’s gonna be a problem - you’re pretty sure the Leech twins weigh more than him and you’ve been able to carry both at the same time once before (when Floyd wasn’t intentionally wriggling around in your arms that is.) It’s figuring out the best way to carry him that’s the problem; you’re not sure a fireman carry would be the most dignified look for the dorm head, and just giving him a piggyback probably wouldn’t be too effective if you want to avoid knocking his head against something while you’re running around.
♡ It takes a moment but you don’t leave Malleus standing there for very long before you take a step forward, moving to place a hand on his back while reiterating if it’s okay for you to still do this. The noise of confirmation steels your resolve and in the next moment you quite literally sweep Malleus off of his feet and into the air, landing safely in your arms; he lets out a sharp inhale at the sudden action, but is more surprised at the fact that you’re able to carry him with such ease, even flashing him a confident grin as you begin to sidle around the room, making sure that he remains firmly tucked in your arms as you do so.
♡ The experience is interesting, to say the least - Malleus isn’t uncomfortable, if anything it’s actually rather nice to feel so weightless in someone’s arms. Not to mention it’s not something Malleus has been able to recently experience, so . You on the other hand are having a great time with it; you get used to carrying him quickly, and despite the initial worry of getting stabbed in the face with his horns you realize there’s nothing to worry about - it’s going pretty well.
♡ That is until Sebek enters the room and spots you cradling the young lord in your arms, and he shouts loud enough that you all whip around to face him. You’re undeterred by the shout, if anything you just assume that the first year wants a turn so you gently place Malleus back onto his feet, giving his uniform a cursory once over to make sure he’s okay before you back away. Malleus gives you an inquisitive look, watching you as you skip away, racing over to where Sebek’s standing with arms outstretched ready to scoop him into your arms, laughing when the student all but dives out of your reach the moment you approach him.

sweet love
They say drunk words are your sober thoughts. Joon Hwi clearly had too many thoughts.
prompted by an anon from this question here! thanks anon!!
notes: hello! back with another fic, this time when joonhwi gets too drunk and spills more than he expects. stay till the end though, i added a little bonus as usual. editing, grammar and other mistakes will be taken responsible by me! thank you all for your love and support as always! i’ll see you for more next time!
original prompt: I love your fic 🥰 this is so far from canon but a drunk joonhwi being clingy towards sol a is one of my dream scenarios 😚 or the squad catching solhwi being clingy with each other because they were hiding their relationship
words: 3414 words
Joon Hwi was beyond excited everyday when he woke up for school. No, he wasn't excited to get the top grade, neither was he excited to get his essays and reports done. Though he loves the law, he’s sane enough to not love it that much.
Of course, he’s just excited about meeting his girlfriend, Kang Sol.
He never knew how they got together. It was a natural thing, after all. After the whole fiasco with Assemblyman Ko, their relationship suddenly felt a lot closer. They were close to begin with, with their daily studying and lunches and dinners. But something was different after the middle of their second year.
It started out as dinners every night, with or without the study group. Then Sol would be in study group sessions wearing his sweater or hoodies. When Yeseul or Yebeom teased, Sol would always argue to say that it was cold in their copy room and Joon Hwi was just being nice. Joon Hwi would just pretend that ‘sharing sweaters were normal’.
Then one day, as Joon Hwi sent Sol back home to take care of Byeol, they sat side by side in silence. Sol was desperately in need of catching up on her sleep, so the forty minute bus ride served as a quick nap for her. She turned her head to lean on Joon Hwi’s shoulder, resting her head there for her nap. To make things more comfortable, he placed his arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer.
When they were nearing their stop, Joon Hwi instinctively shook a sleepy Sol up and held her hand as he dragged her out so she wouldn’t miss the stop. Sol doesn’t let go, and neither does Joon Hwi. Only when they reach the start of the alley do they let go of their hands. (Sol insists it’s because she doesn’t want Byeol to know. Joon Hwi thinks it’s because she’s shy.)
When Joon Hwi is at her front door with Sol, they shyly look at each other, the feelings mutual and conveyed with just their eyes. Of course, they are soulmates. They don't need the words to deliver their entire hearts or feelings.
It was always made known from the start to Joon Hwi that Sol was special to him. He has never met someone so persistent, so passionate and so damm beautiful. He had a couple of flings, being the popular smart boy in school, but none of the girls made his heart beat the same way Sol did. None of them made his world stop.
It has been a year since. And things weren’t easy when you tried to hide it. Sol, a student on a scholarship, had better luck being chosen to attend this school than the number of times the couple almost got caught.
In school, they acted normally as classmates and friends. Their study group sensed something different, but they would just deny and pretend. They put on a pretty good act, if they were to say so themselves, having Bokgi convinced that they needed to find Sol a blind date. (Joon Hwi would have spat his water at him like how Professor Yang did at Prosecutor Jin, but he held it in. Five months of hiding couldn’t be wasted now.)
They wanted to tell their friends, they really did. But they wanted to do it after their bar exams. After the weight of the bar has been lifted off will they share their good news. But while hiding a relationship is hard, making time for one was harder. (Arguably, Joon Hwi finds this harder than any exam he took.)
They absolutely found every minute they could to be together. Every hidden staircase was a spot they tried to spend a few minutes to themselves, but even that was difficult. Joon Hwi would remember how Sol would lead him to a hidden staircase far from their hideout, so as to not get walked in by either the professors or their friends. Even in the midst of Joon Hwi pressing Sol against the wall, as they devoured each other’s lips after a whole day of being unable to kiss, they would be interrupted by the sudden doors of the staircase upstairs opening, causing them to fly apart and run out.
The gossip the school carried was insane, and the last thing they wanted was gossip to reach their friends.
They could spend longer moments in the study room in the middle of the nights where they would be alone, as they worked on their cases and work. Occasionally, they shared bunggeoppangs and hotteoks, where they had long kisses tasting of sweet red bean and honey. But too many times Sol found herself shifting from her seat next to Joon Hwi to climbing on top of his lap in a make-out session, as Joon Hwi reached up to remove the highlighter holding her hair. Just as they wanted more, a sudden noise would bring them to attention and frantically, Sol would fall back onto her chair, both of their faces flushed red.
It was just four more months till the graduation ceremony came.
Till the world knows Sol was Joon Hwi’s.
-----
The bar exam went smoothly, as everyone received their results of passing. As a celebration, the boys decided to drink and have a meal apart from their usual delivery. No, it was time for the real deal of barbecues, meat and stews. They decided to even give a call to Seungjae, who graciously accepted their offer despite being so busy with his new son in his life. The study group has met his kid a couple of times, and even babysat a few hours together.
The boys met at a relatively near barbecue place in the heart of Dongdaemun, a location that the boys could easily return back to the dorms and not too far away. They were at an all-you-could-eat place, suitable for their budget so that they didn’t burn a hole in their pockets. Seungjae offered to treat his dongsaengs. After all, passing the bar was no easy feat. But they declined. His presence with them was enough of a gift from him to them.
But what was a dinner without the star, soju?
Joon Hwi prided himself on holding his liquor well. He could easily have a bottle without feeling the buzz. He could have a second without difficulty as well. Surely, he won’t be drunk, right?
Oh, but how wrong he was.
The bottles of soju and beers kept coming, never ending, as BokGi and Yebeom pushed shot after shot to him and themselves. They were surely prepared to get hammered tomorrow and show up to their 10am lecture spinning. Seungjae, having driven, only watched and smiled as he looked at his dongsaengs drink, sipping on his cola.
“Hyung, you sure you don’t have anything on with Sol-A noona? You know, we catch you with her all the time.” Bokgi asks, his face slightly flushed and words a little slurred. Yebeom nods his head, nodding his head in agreement. Joon Hwi only lets himself smile, not saying anything as he shoots back an additional shot of soju.
“Wah, hyung! So you admit it?” Yebeom says, setting down his chopsticks. Jiho stops chewing on his ssam, and looks next to him at Joon Hwi, who just shrugs, a mysterious smile on his face. Seungjae only places more meat on Joon Hwi’s plate.
With a short glance, Yebeom, Jiho and Bokgi’s eyes met. It was long enough for them to get what they were trying to say, but yet short enough for Joon Hwi to not notice the silence.
They weren’t blind to Joon Hwi’s actions. They noticed how Joon Hwi would look at Sol when she’s practicing for a mock trial, and his gentle voice when he would point out things she missed. Jiho, for one, noticed how Joon Hwi would return to the dorm later or look at his phone, smiling like an idiot. When asked, Joon Hwi would either use the excuse that he went out to the city or he was looking at cat videos, which bore Jiho.
But tonight, they were not leaving this place until he spilled his secret.
“Excuse me! Can we get three more portions of samgyeopsal, one more moksal, one dwangjang jjigae, and three more bottles of soju please?” Bokgi politely shouted to the store helper, who readily nodded.
“One more rice, please!” Yebeom added.
And so, with every portion of food, they shot back shot after shot as they feasted on their fresh juicy grilled pork and stew. They were glad that Joon Hwi was slowly slurring his words, because they themselves were barely hanging on.
“Hyung, you can be honest, you know. We won’t say anything about your private life with noona.” Yebeom says, fighting off the buzz and taking a big gulp of water. Joon Hwi, now face flushed bright red, only let out another smile as he laid back on his chair.
“Ah, Sol...” He murmured out loud.
“You know, she’s really touchy when she’s drunk? She likes to cling on to people when she’s drunk. When she’s angry, she pushes people away instead.” The words come tumbling out of his mouth before he can stop himself. No, this wasn’t Joon Hwi. This was drunk Joon Hwi. The other three immediately perked up hearing this.
“A-Ah, really? How do you know that?” Yebeom prompted, determined to draw out more information.
“Remember the time we were late to Dean Oh’s lecture? We drank that night with Yeseul and Bokgi. She couldn’t stop clinging onto my hoodie after both of them went back. And the other time when she pushed me away after her first year results were out.” Joon Hwi says, the stupid smile still on his face.
“How cute.” He quietly says, eyes closed.
There wasn't a need to know further that their hyung, Han Joon Hwi, had feelings for Kang Sol, the feisty noona.
“Hyung, then why not date her?” Bokgi says, the news keeping him at the end of his seat. Jiho merely sits, ears wide open and ready for any information.
“Date?” Joon Hwi says and lets out a light unmistakable giggle. Oh, he really was drunk now.
“We already are.”
The trio exchange knowing eyes, knowing how their objectives for the night have been accomplished. Seungjae, from the end of the table, merely shakes his head with a smile.
“Hyung, did you know?” Jiho asks. Seungjae nodded.
“They told me. After all, I am no longer a student.” This earned groans from the trio, calling it unfair.
“I miss Sol...” Joon Hwi murmurs, as his drunken state reaches for another shot of soju. Instinctively, Jiho reaches it first and shoves a glass of water in his hand instead. If anything, he was sleeping with this man in the same room. And he was not having his drunken state continue further. After all, they completed their mission for the night.
All that mattered was remembering it the next day.
-----
Sol was in the midst of folding her clothes before her phone rang, distracting her from her music that she had on with her ear pieces. Irritated, she picked up her phone, not bothering to look at the caller ID.
“Hello?”
“Sol-A? It’s oppa.”
“Seungjae-oppa? Why are you calling so late? Is anything the matter?” She asks, alerted by the sudden call. It was almost midnight, and it was rare for Seungjae to call.
“Ah, no. Nothing is wrong. I’m just at the lobby of the school at the Lady Justice statue with a very drunk Joon Hwi and the rest of the boys. I can’t bring them up myself, especially since I can’t enter the dorms anymore.” Seungjae explains. In the back, Sol can hear a noisy Bokgi and Jiho telling him to shut up.
“Give me five minutes.” She says and hangs up. The urgency in Sol’s voice drew the attention of Sol B, who was ready to get to bed. Sol B only looks at Sol for a moment and Sol just gives a sympathetic smile.
“Could... Could you come with me?” Sol asks nervously. Sol B looks at Sol for a moment before she throws a hoodie on and throws another hoodie to Sol. The last thing they needed was them to be recognised. Seungjae was where he said he would be, with indeed, four grown men, sprawled on the couches. Bokgi, Yebeom and Jiho were at least conscious enough to greet both Sols, but Joon Hwi just had his eyes shut, murmuring incorrigible things.
“Sorry you had to deal with them, oppa. They really owe you a big apology.” Sol apologises for the sake of her boyfriend, and his friends. Seungjae only shakes his head.
“They should enjoy this before they step into the workforce and can’t experience it anymore.” He gives a smile. “Joon Hwi got a little carried away. He might have spilled your relationship.” Sol B was not standing far as she forced Bokgi and the rest upright, but she could clearly hear it.
“I’ll settle it. You should go home now, don’t keep Juyoung-unnie waiting. I’ll get them to their rooms.” She said before making her quick goodbye to Seungjae.
Together, both Sols pushed Bokgi and Yebeom up to their room, half guiding and half carrying the heavy boys to their door. When they were back downstairs, Sol B instinctively grabbed Jiho by his arm and pulled him up.
“Sol B, about what-” Sol was cut off by her roommate.
“I know. Don’t tell anyone yet. But, you know you suck at hiding and lying, don't you?” She says, her head turned back, before turning back to help Jiho back to his room. Sol does all she can to suppress her smile. Even though her roommate is harsh, she could feel the love. Turning around, she faces her drunk boyfriend.
“Joon. Joon Hwi.” Sol shakes gently. Joon Hwi’s lips curl up slightly, as his arms reach up to wrap them around the familiar body he missed. Sol was clingy when she was drunk, but it was the pot calling the kettle black for Joon Hwi. If possible, he was even clingier.
“You need to go up to your room.” She says as she fights away his loose grip and half supports his drunk body to his room.
“I missed you, Sol...” He murmurs, a face turning into a pout. “You know I kept telling them how good a girlfriend you are? How you always got me coffees and made extra ramyeons.”
“And you also told them we are dating?”
“Of course! I want the whole world to know I love you!” Joon Hwi says a little loudly, and she clamps his mouth shut. Oh, he was definitely more than drunk. Joon Hwi’s arms clung onto her waist as she reached his door.
“Go. You can face the mess you made in the morning.” She says. Joon Hwi clings onto her, giving her a sad pout.
“No more goodnight kisses?” He asked, a voice like a child. His eyes were big and round, his mouth downturned slightly like a pout.
Sol couldn’t deny him one, especially when he looked so adorable. Looking around, she made sure the coast was clear before she reached up to let her lips meet his soft ones. He tasted like lingering alcohol and she could taste it, but she couldn’t help but want more of his intoxicating lips on hers. But not today.
Pulling away, he let out a slight whine. But Sol gave him a quick peck.
“You’ll get more, when you get up.” And Sol pushes him into the room, leaving back to her own dorm, knowing that she’ll be faced with a big headache the next morning.
-----
When Joon Hwi is up the next morning, he’s greeted with a Jiho who rubs his eyes and holds his head in his hand. Joon Hwi isn’t sure if he’s spinning or the room is. Or if it is spinning in the first place. Jiho notices he’s up and grunts a good morning, before getting up to get ready.
The memories of last night come back to Joon Hwi in waves as the pieces start slowly fixing themselves together throughout the morning. By the time he’s at his first lecture, his memories have more or less come back.
He’s certain that Sol would be mad. He makes a mental note to send Seungjae an apology and thank you message. Then, he starts making plans to bribe the trio. He knows about Yebeom’s love for candy, so he starts with that. He just needs to think of what brand of sneakers to get for Bokgi. Heck, would bribes even work against them?
But throughout the morning, the boys do nothing to mention anything about last night. They chat about their hangover, how Seungjae is doing well with his new job and the amount of food they ate. No one mentions anything about Joon Hwi, or his words.
Joon Hwi counts himself safe. They must have forgotten, he thinks. He figures it was the best they did. It definitely would save him an earful from Sol and a large headache. During lunch, as they finished their simple meal at the cafeteria of soup, rice and bulgogi, Bokgi is about to clear his tray before he turns to Joon Hwi.
“Oh, hyung.”
“Hm?”
“We remember everything. From the start, to the end.” He says, a teasing grin on his face as he quickly scurries away, not wanting to die before he graduates. Joon Hwi rolls his eyes back and groans.
Well, shit.

bonus:
“Sol B, did you know our roommates are dating?” Jiho asks, his voice slightly slurred as Sol B drags him up the stairs. She gives a nod. Sol B was no idiot to fall for her roommate’s excuses, when her face gave it all away. It was fascinating how the others haven’t noticed.
“It would be an insult to our careers if we didn't notice the way they looked at their phones.” She sarcastically says. Jiho manages to scoff. Sol B is about to tap Jiho’s key card of their door, but his hand stops hers, as she feels his body right behind his.
“Well, they haven’t found out about us yet.” Jiho says softly to her, his face nuzzled into her neck, lips brushing her neck as he slowly moves his lips up to her jaw. Sol brings a gentle hand to his cheek, before turning around to face Jiho.
“We’re better actors.” She whispers so soft. Jiho can't tell if it’s the alcohol or him, but all he knows is that Sol B looks so damm perfect with her doe-like eyes, soft pink lips and the way she teases him drives him insane. He wants her, and he wants her now.
He crashes his lips on hers, wanting to so desperately taste her. It’s been a long day, and he’s never felt so in need. Sol B tastes the lingering alcohol on his lips, but she couldn’t care. She needs him the same way he wants her. Her hands reach up to grab his hair as Jiho’s hands slip under her hoodie, feeling the smooth skin of her waist against his fingers. They know that they are in the middle of the hallway, but, god, it felt so good.
“God, I missed this.” Jiho mumbled, almost growling, against her lips, earning a slight smirk from the younger girl that he could feel. He sucks on her lower lip, earning a soft gasp from the girl as she only kisses him harder. Biting lovingly on her swollen lips, he shifts his attention to her jaw, leaving butterfly kisses and earning a sigh of pleasure from her.
But it was short lived, as she pulled away. They knew they had to stop, before their secret was revealed, too. Jiho wishes he could bring her into the dorm and continue this session with her. Sol B looks at him lovingly, biting her lip in an attempt to tease.
“We’ll continue this tomorrow.” Sol B says, giving him another loving kiss as she leaves for her room and Jiho returns to his, buzzed from the alcohol and the adrenaline rush from his make out session. He inwardly groans, hating how his girlfriend teases him, but also smirks, knowing how to get back at her the next day.
Let’s hope he remembers this.
