#but idk if Vicky falls into this category

I would really like to see Vicky's thought process throughout all this, like did she think she could strong arm Tristan into being a parent or did she genuinely hope that that the baby was tristan's?
WHAT WAS SHE THINKING?!?! 🙈
Tumblr media
Basically.. Vicky got jealous of Tilda and how much time Triss was spending with her/how willing he was to help out, so she gets this bright idea that he'll do the same for her if she were pregnant, completely ignoring the fact that he doesn't even fkin like her skdjsjdksk..
She stops taking the pill and tries extra hard to be "nice" and get Triss in bed.. but we all saw how successful that was, except the woman has needs you know.. 🙄 so ofc she sleeps around a little on the side, no big deal she thinks..
But now she's pregnant, Triss isn't happy about it after all and instead of being nice to her, he flips out, tells her she'd be a terrible mother then fucks off to Oscar's and completely ignores her.. AND she doesn't even know who the father is
She convinces herself that it MUST be Tristen's, it HAS to be.. except it's not, and now he's left her..... and since he managed to escape her for a lil while, he's also clean which is DISASTROUS because now she can't even cajole him into sticking around 😩
What was she thinking?? Uh.. she wasn't! I'd like to say she had this whole scheme planned out or smth interesting up her sleeve but she's just a fkin idiot.. she doesn't even like or want kids and deep down she KNEW Triss didn't love her so this "plan" of hers was completely ridiculous... She's right in that he would've felt some kind of duty towards the kid if it was his though, but I rlly don't think he would've stayed with her.. I actually think if it were his he'd either wanna fight for sole custody (which he'd fail miserably at cos he's an unemployed addict and her parents are posh and wealthy enough for good lawyers 😞) OR he would've suggested adoption, which her parents wouldn't have agreed with either.. and she likes to stick on their side cos.. her allowance/inheritance u kno 🙄 so either way, the outcome would've been the same.. baby stuck being brought up by grandparents
She's far too petulant to admit that she was stupid though, so she'll run crying to her parents that Triss knocked her up and left her, they'll be manipulated into feeling sorry for her and I foresee that over time, she'll leave most if not all of the parenting up to them and carry on her own merry ways without any remorse or regret...... 😬
Although.. I think her parents might be a lil sus abt her story once the baby pops out cos @akitasimblr was right and the father issss...
Tumblr media
I'm ngl even I didn't know who the daddy was at first lmao.. but Triss got this sentiment so I think that answers our question (i also checked via mccc ahahakdksjd) 🙈

Let’s be real- clan life nowadays is SO BORING. The clans feel over saturated and machine like rather than actual communities or a society. Any of their issues are either some sort of undead magic nonsense or something easily resolved that they can’t just fix because they’re so incompetent. Cats don’t have personalities outside of protags/antags/the occasional author favorite.
I want the clans to be more like they were in the first book/arc. Remember Lionheart explaining clan traditions like sharing tongues and queens sharing nursery duties? Remember when cats had actual leisure time instead of just being 100% focus on doing things for the clan 24/7? Remember when cats could be friends with other cats in other clans without them eventually becoming mates/love interests? Remember the GOSSIP? The elder stories?
Idk if it’s nostalgia speaking but just- all the never books feel like soulless drivel, and I can’t feel anything about any of the characters anymore when they’re just so plastic and recycled.
I kind of agree?
I overall think the plot lines in the new books are overall stronger than the original books (bar the first arc), but I do definitely miss the sense of community the Vicky era books had which these books just lack. I think this is probably because protagonists are split across clans now rather than them all being in ThunderClan, there’s more clans to focus on but each clan gets significantly less time to be focused on than when one arc was sit mostly or exclusively within the perspective of one clan.
I do disagree about the kin situation and the current RiverClan situation being easy to fix too (obviously tbc falls under the undead magic nonsense category and yeah, it didn’t make much sense in the end but at least it was fun). The AVoS situation was almost the same problem that happened in ShadowClan back in power of three but this time with the leader fighting the manipulator while his clan turned on him rather than have the leader be swayed by the manipulator first. And honestly there is no easy fix to the RiverClan situation currently and that’s a big part of why it’s happening. No one knows how to fix it, it’s a complicated situation where you have a clan without StarClan guidance or a leader, yet no cat in the clan truly wants to take up the mantle to lead. And that’s not even mentioning the occupation of the clan currently taking place.
But yeah like I said I do definitely miss the little moments that helped the world feel more alive and the background characters actually feel like characters rather than allegiance filler. Even so, I do like the newer books very much, I think both eras of warriors have their strengths and weaknesses, and each does certain things better than the other I feel.

hi i sent the ask about wondering how the hc of jehan being nb began, and i’m not always so great with words, so i think it may have come off a lil bit wrong. i was asking bc i just keep seeing people portraying jehan in dresses and skirts and small and skinny and going “uwu my lil nb baby” and it just felt kind of wrong to me. i’m not arguing against the hc or anything i see absolutely nothing wrong with it i just felt like it was really wrong and i get really upset over these things cuz (1/2)
i’ve always struggled with my gender identity and i don’t really know who i am or where i fit and idk what i’m saying really but seeing things like that just make me so uncomfortable and they feel almost like someone came up and slapped me in the face themselves. tbh idk what i’m saying anymore but ya i just wanted to clear things up because i felt like i was a little harsh/ignorant with my original ask. (2/2)
So first things first: you weren’t harsh or arrogant, and especially when you are stepping into the waters of advocating for yourself it can feel really uncomfortable.  I am so proud of you for speaking up for yourself and how you feel represented.  Gender is such a difficult topic to grapple, and I think a lot of people who don’t comfortably identify within the binary find peace in accepting that gender is both a construct and a journey, and your answer and feelings may change throughout your life, and that’s okay.
What you describe here is a really complex topic: woobifying trans people is an enormous problem in the trans community (even the queer community, if we also want to consider the trend of commodifying “gay best friends” and other objectifying stereotypes), as is falling into the trap of often presenting nb people as looking a particular way or another (frequently as you describe: skinny and androgynous--nothing wrong with presenting this way, but the nb representation that does exist often weighs inordinately in this direction).
I think another issue here is, though, that there is a common headcanon for Jehan’s appearance that exists entirely independent of eir gender identity, y’feel?  Jehan is frequently presented as nb and androgynous, but I’ve seen plenty of situations where ey’re still presented as a man...and look the same.  I think it’s hard to separate the character and the gender identity because, well, a character is a personality that we then assign labels to that we feel do or do not fit.  Were they real, it would be up to them to determine what labels they find accurate or inaccurate.  Unfortunately, neither Jehan nor Vicky are available to provide clarification in this particular case.
Consider Enjolras, or Grantaire, or Bahorel: most of the fandom have a pretty particular idea of how they look, right?  And that appearance often remains the same regardless of gender headcanons (for example, I HC that Bahorel is he/him nb, and I also HC that he looks like Jason Momoa: they’re not mutually exclusive).  Nonbinary in particular has extraordinary potential for diversity given that it’s any presentation that does not fall strictly into the narrow categories of “man” and “woman.”
Regarding clothing: I think that also goes along with bucking gender norms.  One does not have to wear clothing traditionally reserved for one gender or the other to be nonbinary (read: you are still valid if you are AMAB and not interested in wearing skirts or dresses, or AFAB and want to continue to wear them), but it’s also not something off-limits.  It is also not something reserved for trans people: cis people who want to also frequently break these gender norms.  The example that comes to mind most immediately is this super-fly look, but also I want you to please consider that I personally currently live in a culture where men frequently have long hair and wear hot pink sarongs anytime that they’re not working in the fields, and no one would ever doubt their masculinity: gender is a cultural concept, as are the performative acts that represent it.  As such, I don’t see the portrayal of Jehan wearing a skirt or a dress as being inherently infantilizing or femininizing.
I agree that I would love to see more diversity in appearance and representation, and I agree that we as a society should be more cautious about how we discuss trans people and characters (I remember this being a major topic of discussion during Druck too).  I also believe, however, that people are allowed to present however they want, regardless of their gender identity.
I wish you the best of luck on your journey of self-discovery, and I invite you to please reach out to me if you ever want to discuss this further!

For two years Misha Collins has been working on Supernatural, but it's only been a few months since he started crushing on his coworker and best friend Jensen Ackles. Knowing his friend is straight, Misha is content to just be friends, and with him leaving the show indefinitely next season, that is probably for the best anyway.
But it seems Jensen may have other plans.
*** Cockles AU where Misha accidentally falls in love with Jensen, and Jensen can't seem to figure it out.
