so its been a while and the reason I left in the first place was extremely poor mental health and generally, mourning. I couldnt bring myself to draw for like nearly a year really but kind of getting back to normal.

quick thought about Henry’s characterisation (or lack of it), but it does seem like during the TSA development, suda hit the ‘reset’ button on Henry’s character because he genuinely had no idea what to do with this character, particularly one that for some reason, so many people (including me) were attached to despite the minimal screentime said character gets. He probably either felt pressured to keep him around and just. Decided to rewrite him as a blank slate of a character. <- not mad at the decision of making Henry a villain. It just. Could have been built up a lot better.

i feel like its because the victims are dead 9 times out of 10 so there's a certain level of detachment there. they don't have to think about how it affected the victims at all because they're dead, they can't make noise, they can't make you uncomfortable with their trauma, they're not going to display symptoms of disorders and illnesses that make you feel uncomfortable. it's just like weird obsessive rabid consuming of people's trauma without ever having to actually engage with it in any real way.

but the second anyone actually goes through something horrific and dares speak out about it, god fucking forbid they take up space or use their voice or display any symptoms of trauma. god forbid they make people uncomfortable. god fucking forbid they are anything less than meek and apologetic and quiet.
