my brother asked why my voice was so deep and I said I’d give him 3 guesses, and he said “You doin the little flip-flop? The little switcheroo?” and it took me like 10 seconds to realize that was his Polite Way of asking if i was transitioning

When Cardan says to Locke “Time to change partners. Oh, did I steal your line?” And his tone is unfriendly.
His tone is unfriendly

as a certified Diagnosed Autist(TM) i cannot stress enough that i am not only pro- self-diagnosis, but also pretty anti- legal medical diagnosis. it is, at best, a cruel hoop we have to jump through so privileged people will deign to give us what we need. don't fucking do that shit unless you have to, it was disgustingly expensive, fucking humiliating, infantilizing, and dehumanizing, and would probably actively cause problems in my life if i didn't have some really good allistic (-passing) people in my corner and also wasn't so fucking disabled that it mostly doesn't matter.
literally get that diagnosis if you need it for job/school accessibility shit or SSI or whatever, and otherwise dont tell the government SHIT about yourself. there is zero good reason for them to want that information. that's between you and the people you want in your life.

Late night Jokerposting because.... mmh I need that man in my life... weird- it feels whenever I feel upset and like my life is full of chaos and out of control I think of him and he makes me feel calm. I think he might be a weird comfort character but he is to me.

"Izzy wasn't used to further Ed's plotline"
Then why did they kill him at all?
An alternate version could have been for Izzy to get shot, Ed's worried he's going to die, so they both start apologizing and have their reconciliation, but Izzy manages to survive, and they still go their separate ways, starting a new chapter for both of them.
So why did they kill him?
For Ed to start anew his past with Izzy, and Blackbeard, had to be wrapped up nicely, feelings sorted out, and they did that, but they chose to kill him because they were done with him at that point, David said as much in interviews that he didn't serve a purpose anymore. It's clear as day that Izzy's main worth, in the eyes of the writers at least, was to cause conflict when needed, to enrich the story with certain tropes and themes, he was the bitchy ex wife father figure, lol, to Ed. Izzy was never an actual person that they had an end goal for, he didn't get to live out the rest of his life because his life's story was meant to be as Ed's sidekick all along, and not much else.
Which, when i hear David say he loves Izzy, i mean yeah, i believe that he believes that, its not like i think he's lying, but i honestly don't think its possible to love Izzy and then make the kinds of choices he did. I don't think most, if any, Izzy fans would choose to kill Izzy to begin with, and those few that would, certainly wouldn't have done it in this manner, much less at this time in his life's journey. There's a chance that he loves Izzy from a writer/director's point of view and has an appreciation for Con's ability to bring the character to life, but that's very different from how the rest of us love him.
The fact so many of us feel betrayed, and even confused by this ending, shows me there's a real disconnect on what we mean when we say we love Izzy, we wanted him to have a happy ending, because we love him, and yet bafflingly, David thought his ending was happy, yeah, maybe for Stede and Ed, which just kind of proves my point for me.

Had a realization while mopping the kitchen,
Jotaro is all three of his parents child, because listen
Usagi:
He looks like a carbon copy of the guy and acts similarly to him, same drive, same temper, everyone points these two things out
Kenichi:
I like to make the cuck joke as much as anyone else but let's not forget that he and Jotaro have a real father-son relationship!!!! Jotaro calls him father and loves him like one!!! Kenichi knows Jotaro isn't his and his rival is his sire but doesn't care and loves and raises him anyway!!!! Also I'm pretty sure that Kenichi is always/mostly wearing purple in colored comic issues and what is Jotaro wearing???? Purple!!!!! The symbolism????? Because Usagi may be Jotaro's biodad but he is not the man that raised him, fed him, clothed him, Jotaro is wearing Kenichi's colors!!!! Because he is as much Kenichi's son as Usagi's!!!
Mariko:
obviously he has her ears and nose but also! May be grasping at straws but! His clothes have a pattern like she does and(correct me if I'm wrong) Kenichi doesn't! Kenichi's are plain with only the reigning Lord of the lands Mon and Mariko's and Jotaro's has a design! Similar in how they both love Kenichi but they also love Usagi! Jotaro wants a father-son relationship with Usagi but not at the cost of one with Kenichi! Mariko has affections for both Kenichi and Usagi but it's pretty obvious her feelings for Usagi run deeper than for Kenichi, but that doesn't mean she doesn't love him! Because for all that she loves Usagi, he didn't love her enough to stay and Kenichi did. Even though Kenichi had to leave the Dogora school in shame he still could've been a retainer to a lord like Usagi but instead he stayed! This man raised her child knowing damn well how he came to be and didn't care! Married her knowing she could never return his feelings with the same fervor!
Jotaro loves his parents and wants to respect all their wishes! This poor fucking kid...
