I made this blog so I can rant about things without embarrassing myself, so here’s my ranking of the first year duos (not including Yachi sorry sweetie)

1) Tsukishima & Hinata

Obviously this is a tsukihina blog so I enjoy them as a ship, but even if I’m not looking at it romantically, those two are a lot of fun together. (See Miyagi Camp) We have sun and moon dynamics, the super hyped and energetic passionate heart versus the quiet thinker. I also call it the SquidBob dynamics lol. Also the fact that they are literally opposites physically, but are super jealous of each other. (*clenches fist* the way Tsukishima is always thinking about Hinata) 

2) Hinata & Yamaguchi

They’re not a common duo because both parties have their respective partners already but out of the other 3 first years, Yamaguchi is the least offensive one to Hinata. (Not including when S1 Guch would laugh at Tsuki’s mean comments.) Anyway, theyre a good bunch of boys who are teammates and friends and know how to not be at each others throats. Just seeing them go around during slow times in Nationals was cute and lots of fun.

3) Kageyama & Yamaguchi

Not saying this as a KageGuchi shipper but the fact that they don’t interact nearly as much (I’m anime mostly, I know About That but I’m not going to talk about it) as the other first years makes me want to see more of them. The fact that Yamaguchi (though not out right) isn’t afraid of Kageyama (doesn’t put a suffix on him, is casual enough to push him off the court when he had a nosebleed) while Kageyama doesn’t hold any animosity towards Guch, despite being attached to Tsuki’s hip.

4) Hinata & Kageyama

The fact that they are the prominent duo makes me not need to think about them since I’m over exposed to them in canon. They are funny though and I’m still not sure why I never jumped aboard them as a ship (I can point out a few reasons but we dont have to get into that) but I acknowledge that they are probably each other’s best partner on the court. Work husbands, as I like to say. (I also know about certain future teams, lets not get into that)

I mainly prefer these two from S2 and up, I think, because Hinata seems less afraid of Kageyama.

5) Tsukishima & Yamaguchi

Not a huge fan of childhood friend dynamics. (Even less when its turned romantic.) Yamaguchi, even though he’s learned to stand on his own in court, still feels very Tsuki orbiting to me. His initial appearance was supposed to be Tsukki’s lackey and yes he does mellow out and get his own growth, but even then he’s still stuck on Tsuki’s hip. (I don’t like how every time Guchi gets on the court, there’s always a scene that makes it looks like he’s doing it for Tsuki.)

I do like when Tsuki does acknowledge their friendship (When did you become so cool) but it makes me a little sad that he doesn’t do it as often and still calls him Yamaguchi (vs “Tsukki” and how close his is to Akiteru that he’s Tadashi)

6) Kageyama & Tsukishima

Theyre the lowest on my list despite both characters being my top favs (4 and 1 respectively) Their dynamics are just too... hostile for me. I compare it to the ZoSans/HijiGins/ImaNarus, the ones where theyre always butting heads but secretly and would never in front of the others’ face let them know that they actually respect each other. They’re just a little too snarky for me, and both pretty socially/emotionally stunted to have a nice pleasant moment.

4: what time of the day/night do you like to write?

I really don’t have a set time of when I write. I usually just write whenever I have the ideas for my fanfics. But if we’re talking times, very late at night… or should I say very early in the morning? Like 12 midnight to around 2-3 AM? What is sleep? Haha!17: do you listen to music while you write?

Sometimes… but like very rare times. I mean, we all know my attention span is worse than a five year old, and I’ll probably end up singing along with whatever’s playing instead of actually writing like I’m supposed to.33: favorite one-shot you’ve written?

So, I’m rewatching s2 of yowapeda, and I think I found the exact moment when Imaizumi completey and absolutely falls head over heels for Naruko - that is, when he sees him climbing during the thrid day. I mean, you can pinpoint the exact moment his mind goes blank for a moment and then he realizes that he’s so fckn in love with the red flashy dork in front of him

And here we can see him thinking about how friggin amazing Naruko is (really, he’s thinking that, something like that he is so amazing that he can even inspire his own teammates)

IMANARU

-Imaizumi and Naruko are both pro cyclists, which gets confusing since Naruko changed his last name. But everyone still calls him Naruko, it’s easier that way.

-They have two adoptive sons, Ichijo (6) and Yamato (5). They’re also considering adopting a rabbit from Shinkai*...

-Lots of fluffy arguing and Naruko being semi-closeted and awkward about his relationship. 

*end up getting a small fluff named Pinarello. What losers.

SHINKAI

-Still racing sometimes

-But mostly breeding rabbits in a lovely farmhouse

-Usakichi is life

ARAKITA

-Graduated from Yonan and got his degree in Physics

-Sleeping around a lot

-Still an angry wolf

-Surprisingly got back into motorcycles

-Still riding his Bianchi all the time too

-Thinking about getting a black cat, and possibly kidnapping the one at Hakone so he can keep it.

-Aki-chan is living with him happily

-His apartment is so small but he wants pets Yasutomo slow down

ONODA

-Works in advertising for an anime distribution company

-But his English is so bad

-Constantly calling Maki

TOUMAKI

-surprise! Toudou followed Maki to England. For a while. He still has an inn to run, so he flew back and forth a good bit. He had to borrow a good bit of money from Arakita but it was worth it to see his spider bae

-Makishima makes strange avant-garde things that nobody gets but they sell decently so...

-Lots of travel. Pretty much all of it is between Hakone and London and back again, but they like to go other places too. Makishima makes sure to send Onoda pictures. (It was Toudou’s idea)

T2

-own a cafe that does very well, especially with tired cyclists since there’s always an old Cannondale and an old Corratec model always outside

-Ishigaki is actually a regular there.

-these two are everyone who meets thems GOALS.

-like they’re so in sync. its magic

-Aoyagi uses his artistic talent to make all the food and especially the coffee fancy af

ISHIMI

-Married. With a kid. Midousuji did not see that coming but he loves it so???

-Adoptive daughter named Ariana Midousuji (5-10 depending on work)

-Midousuji is v v overprotective because of his childhood

-Was v scared kids would make fun of her because she’s a foreigner, but she’s actually quite popular

-Ishigaki gets overprotective too but of course Midousuji is extra

-She’s thinking about riding but her dads are so crazy about it can u calm down

-Ishigaki has his own cycling shop. It does pretty well. Aoyagi and Teshima have to go in a lot since their bikes are getting old.

-Midousuji went pro but never races when he knows Imaizumi and/or Naruko are going to. That’s kimoi. 

-Surprise their kids go to the same school as Ariana.

MANAMI

-Is he living in the woods??

-He may be living in the woods.

-Nobody knows.

-Sometimes he just shows up at other people’s houses and crashes on their couch.
