hi girly me again 🩷 it’s currently lesbian visibility week, can we get some cashmere and enobaria hcs in honor of this? can be about them as a couple or them in general, i am not picky at all!!

Omg hi hello yes friend I can absolutely do that!! These kind of got out of hand so I wrote them in a separate document and am copying them over so that I don’t lost them if my laptop goes down or something!! These are obviously in ARWBFB verse/au because like..at this point it feels like EVERYTHING I do is in that verse but also in writing this I realized I’m like..lowkey dropping ARWBFB Cashmere and Enobaria lore because noone knew they were together until the last chapter because Clove didn’t and it was her perspective so!! 

-Enobaria and Cashmere have been together for quite literally about ten years by the end of the last chapter of ARWBFB (non epilogue). They were friends for a few years first but…we all know how that ends up sometimes. 

-Cashmere teaches Enobaria how to teach Clove about knife throwing, so that she can pass it along to Clove to give her a competitive edge before formal training would begin. Enobaria is not..great at it. 

-Enobaria is in the capitol the first night Cashmere is sold by Snow. She is powerless and she knows it, but she never forgets the sinking feeling she had watching some much older man lead Cash out by her elbow.

-The night Glimmer wins, Enobaria is not even supposed ot be in the Capitol, but she conveniently “misses” her train home and has to stay an extra night. She is debating going down to the One floor for hours and at the exact minute she gets up to go Cashmere comes literally bursting into her room. She has never seen her cry as hard as she did that night. 

-Enobaria could not be found any night during Clove’s games, not because she was out with sponsors, but because she had to sleep in Cashmere’s bed or she wouldn’t get a second of sleep. The ONLY minutes of sleep Enobaria gets the entire duration fo Clove’s games is when Cashmere tricks her to sleep by playing with her hair. 

-Cashmere conveniently forgets to get money from sponsors in the 73rd games. She talks with them. She interacts. But she never gets tot he point of swiping their cards or collecting checks. She cannot directly play against her own district, but she cannot (will not) play anyone against Clove. She knows what it would do to Enobaria. 

-Enobaria and Cashmere are separated the entirety of the war. They have no way to communicate. They do not know if the other is dead, alive, in custody, or what side of the war. Enobaria can only assume, after all that is done to Cashmere in her life, that she would have chosen the side of the rebels. She does, too. It is one of the worst times in both of their lives, because not only do they not have any communication or information on each other, they are also facing  loss of someone very close to them (Because they also do not know if Clove or Glimmer are alive at that point). 

-Cashmere is the only person in the world who knows every once in a while Enobaria bites her lip in her sleep and ends up on a pillow covered in blood

-Enobaria and Cashmere, post war, are both faced with really difficult and messy relationships with food. The only way they can heal them is by encouraging and aiding the other in repairing theirs first.

-the only time Enobaria ever hesitates in wanting to advocate for Clove to go into the games is after she watches the way Glimmer’s win destroys Cashmere. It is the only thing to ever make her hesitate. 

-Enobaria notices she comes home from the games every year missing a piece of clothing or two. It is not until after the war that she realizes Cash has an entire drawer of them she’s been sleeping in for a decade. 

-Cash thinks she fell in love with her when they were about twenty, they were more than a little drunk, and Enobaria was just drunk enough to whisper to her about the the little girl she had promised to take care of and the promise she made to a dead girl. It’s whispered under sheets because of listening ears, and in the dark of the night Cashmere mentions that she has a little sister around the same age. Maybe, in another life, they could have let the girls be friends.

i actually do have a math test tomorrow that i need to study for but one thing about the hunger games series that's been making me think a lot lately......... the way katniss interacts with the career tributes is by far one of the most fascinating thing about her characterization and the theme of the books.

katniss has this hatred for them because she believes them to be these vile, bloodthirsty, pampered, brainwashed murderers with no honor (hence her hostility toward peeta after he seemingly chose to ally with them). she very much has reason to hate them, as do most of the oppressed districts. katniss sees the careers as adversaries, since she really has no choice but to.

however, she's not motivated by her hatred, and her actions towards them are more merciful and compassionate than she gives herself credit for. when clove dies, she actually takes the time to note that cato literally begs for her life, for her to stay with him - and this is from katniss, a narrator who tells only the details which are most crucial to her and her family's survival (and, from a narrative construction perspective, crucial to moving the story forward). katniss makes it clear to the reader in thg that she does not want anyone else to die, including cato, whom she has no obligation to care about, someone she despises on principle. katniss shoots cato, but suzanne makes it excessively clear that katniss did so out of pity, as a mercy kill, not as vengeance or a deliverance of justice. because despite the fact that he's not a likeable or good person in her eyes, she doesn't feel any satisfaction or joy in making someone suffer, no matter her opinion of them.

and even though she did not get to know the career tributes well, and more often than not found them unpleasant to deal with at best and sadistic, bloodthirsty people at worst, katniss still took every opportunity to humanize them and honor them as much as she is capable of. it's not an accident that cato and clove, supposedly expendable secondary characters who, in any other series, would have been easily disregarded by the narrative once they outlived their use, were mentioned throughout the book series and as far as mockingjay, which took place two years later. because despite the fact that they were, in her eyes, hateful and violent people, she never saw them as forgettable or expendable or arbitrary, as side characters confined to the background, as nameless bodies that she had to kill. katniss made the effort to remember them as human beings, victims just like her, living under the capitol's thumb.

because the realization that katniss comes to, which is the theme that suzanne has been trying to express throughout the series, is that the capitol is the only villain in this story, the only party responsible for the deaths and atrocities. even the career tributes, who are supposed to be these barbaric and savage brainwashed tools, whom she has little reason to care for, are victims of the capitol's cruelty. as both haymitch and finnick advised her to, she remembered who the real enemy is, and continuously reminded others, including the reader, of this fact. katniss knows that the career tributes, while somewhat complacent, were never the problem, the reason their society was so broken. it was the capitol, and the rich's exploitation of children for their own entertainment, that was always the enemy in this scenario - and katniss, as well as suzanne, spend the whole of the trilogy communicating this message.

it's relaxed but i don't think it's carlos' only because it fits tk pretty well through the shoulders and that's the one place carlos is significantly, would-definitely-stretch-out-a-sweater bigger than he is, but i DO think it's a $450 cashmere sweater that carlos ran out and bought in a panic the first time tk shivered after getting home from the hospital and then lied and said he found it on clearance and then burst into guilty tears six hours later and confessed he paid full price and he could return it or tk could pay for half because they're partners and equals and tk was already snuggled up in it and not planning to pay a damn cent like 🥰 aww baby you can still buy me presents 🥰

Seasonal reminder that macy's has an extreme discount section year round where you can get new, good quality fancy clothes for literally $2-$10. Including effective cold weather gear and job interview attire.

It's called the last act section and it's usually in the farthest corner of the highest floor. They have one for shoes too.

It's literally the same shit they sell in the rest of the store, but they start marking it down after a couple months. So, go get all the rich people clothes you want/need. They have the biggest stock at the beginning of each season.

What’s D1’s victor talents in your au? Cash Gloss Glim & Marvel

Okay so I made that post, got this ask and then immediately had to go to surgery so I stood there thinking about this and then stewed about it all night long after. This is a big one. Okay.

I want to start with Gloss. I actually implore you to once again read a work by @bodyelectric77 (loml) in which he's blowing shit up and calling it science. That being said I'm going to answer this in terms of how I was saying earlier that talent training is PART of D1 training just like media training would be (to me). So in that note Looking at him I feel like he was definitely trained in like..extreme Men's Gymnastics skills. Like the kind that take immense strength. I don't think that ends up being the talent he pursues necessarily, but it was probably the one he was trained for.

Cashmere I almost also said gymnast however, I had another conversation the other day with @bodyelectric77 about how Glimmer and Cashmere in the setting of like a modern-er au would be like the family that is really competitive dancers. I think Cashmere specifically has the vibes of being trained Classically in Ballet. Like think Vaganova. I think the way her body is maintained by D1 is very reminiscent of a ballet dancer. Like she has that very classic Ballet grace in my head, as well as like the dancer legs we all know dancer legs. In that same note I think the flexibility of her body is absolutely weaponized and used against her by her abusers. Cashmere would be a ballet dancer.

Glimmer I think is a unique case. As we know I did mention quite a few times that she really would have designed designing dresses (like formal event dresses). That is not what I think she was like..trained in. I think people saw potential to like advertise Glimmer and Cashmere as this sister duo (and unfortunately they ARE advertised like that just not..for their talents) and so I think Glimmer also underwent intense dance training but in a different style like I can see more of a lyrical emotive style? In that SAME note I think they had yet another backup and Glimmer is the unique case in that they were like okay no cant bank on that we may not need Cashmere 2.0. I think towards the end of her training the plan derailed maybe towards singing? Then you have a singer and dancer sisters. I don't think she was like a classical singer but there was the potential to essentially turn her into like..the equivalent of a pop princess. Think of Britney Spears and what happened to her, that likely would have been the same trajectory. I don't think she's amazing but she isn't bad either. People weren't looking at her because they liked the way she spoke. So for that reason I think she had kind of extensive cross talent training in both dance and singing, but really if she could have chosen she would have done like a fashion design. Her dance training was also used against her. I've had a few conversations about Glimmer being a lil dancy girly with @kentwells so! Credit to her as well!

Of note, Glimmer, Gloss, and Cashmere all have I think like genetic flexibility and hip mobility. So that allows them to do a lot of it. Good genes.

Glimmer's definitely the type like at 30 to still stand on her toes and see how long she can force the arch in her feet or sits in really weird positions. Cash can stick her foot next to her head in the shower to like make sure she shaves her legs perfectly. They all have insane posture.

Marvel is going to feel a little out of left field but hear me out. I think he ends up like...idk he think he should be a comedian. He could be a FANTASTIC late night talk show host. However, I think he was trained on playing the piano. The reason I say that is like..he has long gangly fingers. He's tall he's lanky. With that comes like...long fingers that are skinny and pretty flexibile. I think he was actually really really good at it. Like to this point if you put him in a room with a piano it all comes back like muscle memory. Clove and/or Cato would be mouth open jaw dropped in shock because noone expects it from him. I don't think he has much opportunity to show it off but..he feels like a piano guy to me!

Brief rundown: dragons are born on stars, and they create the planets. Small planets can be anywhere from 1-3 dragons, but more are needed for larger ones. They often oversee regions of the planet, or they look over sections of ocean or river systems. They take on a lot of the physical traits of said region, and they can change appearance of time and changed environmental tastes. Yes, essentially this just means these ancient beings have a special aesthetic! There are several stories of mine that are within this dragon universe: The Will of the Whispering, The Hostile Credence, Cashmere, Brackish, The Dragons' Cosmos, and Planetary Boundaries Now onto the images! Tempra, dragon of the Spicewood First four images, including a crocheted version (finished). Appears in THC Affie (getting drunk) I have yet to name her region, actually. Mentioned in THC Belios (huge boy), of the Belios region Appears in THC Syra and Tessa, the lesbian lover dragons (both oceanic) (Tessa is depicted with Niven, Syra is the one with flippers and leaves) The reason this entire series really came about, since I wanted sea serpent lovers. Both appear in THC, but Tessa is also in PB and both are mentioned in TDC Vionne, river dragon and mother of catfish Two pictures, one of her face and the other of full body. Mentioned in THC frequently, as she's Tessa's rival. :') Willow, dragon of Aven region A tiny fellow! First design, WIP of his crocheted version, and second design. I'm still experimenting on his design before I settle, though, and finish his amigurumi. He's mentioned in THC Monarch I put his region in THC, but I'm trying to find an excuse to include him in another story. He's the sunflower dragon, and I cannot remember if I ever named his region in THC Ruriel Another dragon whose region name I cannot recall, but I know I have a name for it. I'd have to find the map I started for THC. He's mentioned in THC only, but another dragon I ought to include in a future story... Bircha Mentioned in TDC Afensi Appears in TDC, my little marsh moth dragon. She glows too! Mydas Part of Cashmere but only appears in PB! He's one of the few dragons who has an entire planet all to himself. In Cashmere, the planet is named after him, but no one knows it is named after a dragon/knows about dragon existences. He's an elusive one! These are just a handful of dragons, and I have art of other ones that I cannot find right now. I'll make a proper post to talk more about the lore, characters, and plots. I'll also draw more soon!
