There was something wrong with the Warren siblings. Everyone in Millwood seemed to know it, and while they were usually tolerated, nobody dared to be affiliated with the two teenagers. Between Alex's business dealing in mind-altering substances and Mick earning himself some extra cash by writing his classmates' essays, the only superlative the two Warrens had earned was 'most likely to end up in jail'.

When Karen Beasley supposedly kills herself, that prediction only seems to solidify itself even more. Karen dies, and suddenly Kelly and Alex seem extremely close, and Mick suddenly seems to be everywhere. Imogen, Tabitha, Mouse, Faran, and Noa become convinced that the two Warrens are involved, if not responsible for the death of Karen and the threatening messages all of them receive.

What the liars don't know about is that Alex and Mick are being haunted in their own right, and all of them might have more in common than they ever suspected.

Hmm? Where are they from, you ask?

Why, it's the one and only Things That Bleed! Written by @ghostly-cabbage , @kkachis , and @artistfingers . In which it establishes the possibility of sometimes family being a child spy, a scary scary assassin, and an eldritch horror boy.

Recently went back for a ... I honestly lost count how many times I've re-read this story. It's a gift that just keeps on giving, sometimes I just like go back to get soaked in the Scenery of quiet and restless hotels and underground parking lots and long car rides. hohoho don't let these mundane elements deceive you >:)

One thing I like to imagine is the post-reveal relationship these three may have, when Alex and Yassen get comfortable around Danny's ghost form, how they might just sit around in some rundown motel figuring out the next course of action but like. With a fun-sized eldritch noodle spreaded out on the bedsheets. Draped over the TV. Curled up in the cool tub or mini fridge. Rolling and eeling under the bed. Letting Alex wear him like a scarf. Yeah... yeah.

I am not certain how soft and fluffy these three can be when they spend enough time (and experience some Horrors) together, so these may be a bit ooc. but, well. I had fun drawing and I have faith in them💪

Derrick - He’s very caring. You’ll notice in-game he’s always asking you if you’re okay, subtly fixing your hair/clothes, and he frequently expresses his concerns for both you and your brother. (He also has a puppy if that matters to anyone lmao.)

Talia - She’s always finding the beauty in things, especially with friends/acquaintances. She’ll frequently draw those around her or write poetry about them. You can actually get her to show you a drawing of the MC.

Alex - They love spending time with the MC, but they’ll never admit it to you (or themself). They’ll often linger beside you at events or barge into your room- after knocking, mind you- like an older sibling and claim they’re just doing their job.

Z - They’re not very sweet lol. On their route, though- or if you’re close friends- you’ll find they place you on a pedestal. You are the greatest thing that’s ever happened to them, and they’re not afraid of expressing that.

I think it’s time I stood up for myself…

Can we talk about *this* little part of the scene for a moment

How Henry had built up his confidence to be his true self; how he didn’t let Philip talk down to him like we had seen him allowing in the montage during Alex’s speech; how he was ready to finally face this. Henry Fox was ready to take the wheel.

One look.

All it took was one look from his grandpa and that confidence was gone.

And it wasn’t even a mean look per se, just a stern stare with that little eye squint. And that was it. Henry Fox was put back in his place.

But you know what brought him back? When the King talked down to Alex. Because the King can put him up on this pedestal and expect him to live a lie and control his life and his happiness…but he would not allow him to attempt the same to Alex. Henry’s whole mannerisms shifted. Before it was as if he was pleading with his grandpa, after it was like he was done. The King needed to make this make sense, and all he could give was the lame excuse that the country wouldn’t stand for it… Just to be “disabused of that idea” a short moment later.

And I think he knew. When Henry saw his country had his back — the ones who all knew his name, but he would never know theirs, the ones who loved him anyway when the people who were supposed to love and care for him (Bea and Shaan excluded) tried to hide who he truly was — the King knew… his control was gone. Prince Henry, at least as he was before that moment, was gone. And Henry Fox was free.
