Platinum Jubilee Gifts
Several organizations marked Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee by gifting her a piece of jewelry.
The Goldsmiths' Company - The brooch was made by David Marshall and features diamonds set in white gold and platinum. The design includes the floral emblems of the four nations of the United Kingdom (rose for England, shamrock for Northern Ireland, thistle for Scotland, and daffodil for Wales) plus lilies of the valley which where in the Queen's coronation bouquet.
Tumblr media
Isle of Man - The brooch was made by Element Isle and features blue topaz, citrine, amethyst, and emerald set in recycled white and yellow gold. The gemstones represent the towns of Ramsey, Peel, Castletown, and the city of Douglas and the colors are the same as the Manx Tartan.

United Grand Lodge of England - The brooch was made by Yasmin & Jonathan Lambert and features diamonds set in platinum. The design is based off the badge of Navy Lodge No 2612.

Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society - The brooch was made by David M Robinson and features diamonds and a large pearl set in platinum. The diamonds are arranged in the opening notes of God Save the Queen.

Queen Mother’s Art Deco Topaz Clip Brooch.
Tumblr media
The brooch features diamonds and two shades of golden brown gemstones—either citrines or topazes—set in an Art Deco design typical of the mid-1930s. The top of the piece features a curving diamond-set clip fastener, another feature popular in that period.
The brooch originally belonged to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, the wife of King George VI and the mother of Queen Elizabeth II.

for the number 1 chollar enthusiast @francophones... for visual inspiration, here is the rené lalique chantecler collar necklace designed for actress sarah bernhardt :>
The collar sat flush against Charles’s skin, the soft, supple leather perfectly fitted to the circle of his neck and the line of his shoulders. He traced a finger over the silvery silk floss patterns and delicately molded glass berries, coming to rest at the dark golden citrine resting at the base of his neck.
“It’s lovely,” he said finally, turning away from his dressing table. Pierre clenched his right fist behind his back. Beside him, Ilies let out a too loud sigh of relief and Pierre had to elbow his assistant to force him to stand up straight again. “It is a bit loose, though, for my tastes,” Charles added, a glint of knowing amusement in his eyes. Pierre counted quietly to himself to five before speaking, trying to hide his annoyance.
“There is a bit of slack, Monsieur, so you can act without strain.”
Even the frown on Charles’s face had a beautifully mournful quality to it, which no doubt explained the breathless reviews of his latest performances. “I would like to feel it tighter still,” Charles said, shaking his head. “Perhaps I might come visit your workshop for a fitting?”
“A fitting session,” Pierre repeated slowly, eyebrows raised.
Charles’s teeth were as shining white as the small freshwater pearls that Pierre might use for the string of a necklace or to hang off a brooch. “Yes, exactly, Monsieur Gasly,” Charles exclaimed. “You understand me perfectly!”
Ilies let out a strangled noise, something between a cough and a snort, and Pierre elbowed him again, more roughly this time. “That can be arranged,” Pierre assured Charles, who beamed beatifically at him.
