Prompt(s): Day 2 Hope
Warnings: N/A
Summary/Description:  Hope is a dangerous thing, but Fox finds it creeping in despite his efforts. He blames the kids. (A potential scene in Speak for the Silent)
Hope is a dangerous thing.
It makes you reckless and foolish, pursuing things the rest of reality says is pointless. It causes you to look to the future, to make plans, to expect something better than today. Hope makes the evil in the world all the more glaring and convinces you things can change, that maybe you can be that change.
Hope is a luxury Fox can’t afford. And yet…
As he sits in a room surrounded by Jedi younglings, a small bandage on the side of his head where his chip had been removed, he feels the stirrings of that dangerous feeling.
The words of kind Jedi and brave senators ring in his ears. We know the Chancellor is a Sith Lord, they say, and we’ll find the evidence to arrest him as the traitor he is. Just you wait and see. You and your brothers will be free.
There are a million mountains to cross between now and that promised arrest. If Palpatine has covered his tracks until now, why do they think they can catch him now? But Fox finds himself believing they will.
Damn hope, damn it to the Pit and back. He can’t afford to be caught in its trap.
Peals of laughter bring him out of his thoughts as he watches the Wookie youngling toss a smaller Nautolan above his head and a Tholothian girl catches him with the Force. A younger Dathormirain youngling watches from the sidelines, not quite ready to join the fun.
A few minutes later they’re sitting in a circle, answering the question “If I wasn’t a Jedi, I’d be…”
A Rodian girl looks to him and asks, “Commander, if you weren’t a soldier, what would you be?”
Fox blinks at her. He’s never thought about that. He just assumed he’d always be at war. Once this one ends, they’d freeze him and wake him up for the next.
The Dathomirian boy speaks up for the first time. “Fox will be a father, a grandfather, and a great-grandfather.”
Fox gapes at him. That...that was beyond his wildest dreams. Imagine him living long enough to have grandchildren, much less great-grandchildren! Could that really happen?
The Rodian girl beams. “Yes! Imagine lots of mini commanders running around.”
“A daughter” Fox blurts out, and he’s not sure what prompts him to say that. But now that it’s been said, he couldn’t stop thinking about it. “I’d have a daughter, and I’d name her Breha.”
The Wookie child growled something. “Gungi wants to know what she’d look like,” the Nautolan translates.
Fox shrugs. “I don’t care; she could be a Genoisan and it wouldn’t matter. She’d be mine and I’d love her.”
The kids nodded and launched back into their conversation. He watched them, confused by the funny warm feeling in his chest. Soon they started playing Lift the Feather where the children lifted a feather off a bench using the Force.
Fox smiled. “Hey, I think I could do that.”
They all gave him a funny look. He got up and walked to where the feather was resting on a pillar. He closed his eyes, held out his hands, and…
Popped his head under the edge of the feather and blew up. Sure enough, the feather floated off the pillar farther than anyone had managed yet.
“That’s cheating!” the human boy protested.
Fox grinned. “No, it isn't. The only rule was no touching it. I didn't touch it.”
The boy opened his mouth to protest but he was interrupted by another voice.
“Correct, Commander Fox is," Yoda said as he entered the room. "Named aptly he is. Learn from him how to think creatively, you should. Off to your lessons for now.”
Fox watched them go, the warmth in his chest growing, especially as the two girls stopped to wave at him. Perhaps hope wasn’t such a bad thing after all.

A Few Minutes More
Pairing: Foxiyo
Word Count: 611
Premise: I had the mental image of Fox being needy and clingy and cuddly when he’s half-asleep (and Riyo’s not complaining of course), which led to me banging this out
Riyo learned the hard way that when she had an idea in the middle of the night, she needed to write it down immediately if she wanted to hold onto it. So when a perfect turn of phrase came to her in a dream, she bolted out of bed and ran to the living room of her apartment, where the datapad containing the draft of her upcoming speech sat on the coffee table.
She turned on a lamp on the end table next to the couch, casting just enough  light into the dark space for her to look at her datapad without straining her eyes too much. Once she was situated with a blanket over her lap and the file containing the speech open, she set to work writing out what she thought of. And for good measure, while she was at it, she also started on a small outline of some points she wanted to cover next.
The sound of quiet footsteps coming from the bedroom distracted her from her thought process. She looked up and behind her to see Fox entering the living room.
“What’re you doing up?” he asked her, his voice groggy and still heavy with sleep. He shuffled over to the couch.
“I needed to jot something down really quick,” Riyo explained.
Fox sat down next to her and snaked his arms around her waist, pulling her closer to him. “Do it in the morning … come back to bed.”
Riyo couldn’t help but smile as he took hold of her. Her back was flush against his chest and she felt the heat of his skin against hers as their cheeks touched. For a split second she was tempted to go back to bed with him right then and there.
“I will in a minute, as soon as I finish what I’m working on.”
He let out a soft little whine before his chin dropped to rest on her shoulder.
“I didn’t want to forget!” Riyo insisted. She reached a hand up to his head and lightly stroked the hair at his temple. In response, he let out a sigh and tightened his hold on her.
It only took another minute for Riyo to put the final details on her outline. In that time, Fox moved his head to rest in the crook between her neck and shoulder and bury his face in her hair. She could feel his soft breath on the back of her ear, and how his thumb traced circles into her skin through the silky fabric of her nightgown. He was so warm, so solid, and whenever he held her she felt like the was the only woman in the galaxy. She felt tempted to take her sweet time and savor his embrace, but she could feel sleep tugging at her consciousness, and she suppressed a yawn.
When she was finished, Riyo reached forward to set the datapad back down on the coffee table. “I’m all done,” she told Fox in a gentle voice. “Let’s go.”
But when she took Fox’s hands to try and lift them up, he wouldn’t budge.
“Don’t wanna move,” he muttered into her hair.
“You were the one who wanted me to go back to bed!”
“That was before I got comfortable ….”
“A few more minutes, then.” She knew that once Fox was comfortable the chances of getting him to move were low.
“Mmmm,” Fox hummed.
Taking that as agreement, Riyo rested her hands on top of his and closed her eyes. Whether they took place on her couch or in bed, she loved the quiet peaceful moments with Fox. Even if his breathing transitioned into quiet little snores after a few minutes. And in the dead of night, everything seemed to exist out of time. There was no war, no politics, no worries. Just him and her.

Fox was Commander of the Coruscant Guard, it was his job to know what was going on throughout his planet. And it was his job to notice the little things that could turn into big things. Big things that could end with explosions if Fox and his men didn’t know how to handle it. Both metaphorical and physical depending on the issue.
It was part of the reason Fox had finally managed to get the confidence to convince himself that contacting Cin Drallig, the Jedi Master in charge of the Temple Guard, was a good idea. Especially after one of said Guard had pulled him out of the way of a blaster bolt in some back alley the night before after a particularly grueling bit of detective work that had left the guard with far too many explosives. Explosives that he’d gladly passed along to the temple guard instead of dealing with himself.

What were Alpha-17 and Rex doing while Cody and Wolfe were with Fox and Bly and Ponds were trying to get revenge?
Alpha-17 will resort to murder so he’s being held back from murder because no even if he hurt one of your kids your not allowed to kill a jedi. Rex is currently trying to explain to Obi wan and Plo Koon where their commander went. If you’ve seen season 7 you know how well that went. Plo asks first, “Captain do you happen to know where Wolffe went””Uhhh, I’m not sure where he went?”obi wan adds”I was wondering where Cody was as well”Rex is screaming internally.”Generals, I don’t know where my either vod is and they definitely aren’t together”Obi wan sighs and asks”Is this about Quinlan””Of course this isn’t about Vos I don’t even know who that is.” Plo speaks again to say, “But you know his last name?” Rex wishes he had gone with Ponds and Bly. “Well, general, how do you know about Quinlan!””I heard Cody talking about him” Anakin decides to walk by at this time to say, “Is this about Commander Fox, Vos and Kit dating””Sir with all due respect how do you know?”
”Padme told me”

COMMANDER FOX FOR 'SEND ME A CHARACTER' PLEASE :D
OF COURSE XDDD
First impression: Woah this clone has a really cool armour design
Impression now: COMMMANDER FOX MY BELOVED GOTTA PROTECT. He did nothing wrong, just doing his job. Can someone give him a hug???
Favourite moment:
Tumblr media
His hands... pretty...😳
Idea for a story: well I am sharing already a lot of headcanons here but I would love an episode or a show just showing Corries work in a style like Brooklyn 99 or the Office
Unpopular opinion: I think Fives has bigger tits than Fox *runs away*
Favourite relationship: Sucks that we've never seen him interacting with the others but I will die for Thorn and Fox. The reverse colors on their armour I'm-
Also Cody and Fox because they seem to have similar characters for me. And Wolffe with Fox for all the mischief.
Favourite headcanon: this man lives only on coffee and his bed is covered with dust

Loyal Friend
Commander Fox Week - Day 1
Prompt: Loyalty
Warnings: Canon Character Death
Pairings: Bail Organa & Fox, Bail Organa/Breha Organa
Characters:
Summary: Bail is unable to make it home to Alderaan for a special day. Fox helps out, because that's what friends do. Bail returns the favor in a way he never wanted too.
@loving-fox-hours
There are very few people in this galaxy that Fox can stand beside his brothers. Fewer still he actually likes. He can count on one hand those he considers friends.
He is currently glaring at one of them.
“Senator Organa, you have not been sleeping. I understand the bill you tried to stop past, that a dear friend of yours was murdered, and that you’ve been attacked by criminals and those are all the semi-valid excuses for not sleeping. But an annual holiday is not.”
“Fox, it’s not a holiday, it’s the anniversary of my marriage.”
“Sir…”
Bail turned to look at Fox with desperate eyes. “Ever since this war started I have missed every holiday, anniversary, and birthday. But this is our 30th wedding anniversary. I can at least send Breha a present.”
“Bail, just come down to the diner for a meal, alright? Please?” Bail sighed. “Fine.”
Fox escorted the good senator out of the building...and straight into the arms of his wife.
Fox was glad he had his bucket on or his grin would have given him away. He watched Bail laugh as he hugged his wife tight. There had been loads of paperwork involved, but it was worth it. Fox was loyal, and loyalty meant helping a friend out from time to time.
“Thank you,” Bail said.
Fox shrugged. “It’s the least I could do for a friend.”
-------------------
Vader had killed Fox. Broken his neck and left him lying in the street for an honest mistake. Bail hurried out under the cover of darkness. He gently removed the commander’s helmet, tears falling silently as he gazed down on his friend.
“You were loyal, Fox. I’m going to find out what happened to you, what made you…” he choked, the bodies of the Jedi in his mind’s eye. “I’ll find out what happened to you, I swear.”
He hefted his friend’s body onto a stretcher. “Here, let’s get you out of here. It’s the least I can do for a friend.”
Somewhere there’s a grave with a helmet marking it and a small plaque. It simply reads Fox: Loyal brother, friend, and commander of the Republic.
