I shared this weeks on Reddit but since that site is a wreck, I’m sharing over here too. I identified which (100% free!) cape pattern the illustrations of Vin and Kelsier on the stickers in the Mistborn swag box heavily reference! You’d obviously have to do a bunch of tweaks, but I would recognize this torso wrap and dart situation anywhere, so it’s a solid starting point!

Adolin Kholin Cosplay FINISHED!!

i’m so so happy with how it all turned out!! i felt very princely wearing my full ensemble. the final things were his kholin glyphs and a piece of jewelry to represent maya :)

i think i may switch back to the black sword earrings they are a bit easier to spot

ID of the first image: [a picture of a person (me) in a blue lacy shirt with white lace on the cuffs and collar. the sleeves are poofy. on top of that is a darker blue vest with gold trim and buttons. the trim is on the bottom edge and the neck line. the buttons are in 2 rows of 3. attached to the front is a panel of fabric embroidered with the kholin glyph pair. it also has trim. the pants are navy almost black slacks. the shoes are brown high heeled boots that match the belt. the accessories are: a sword belt with a metal color guard saber in it, a belt chain with 3 charms a sword a blank horse and a white horse, silver sword earrings and a white turtleneck with a bit of lace in the middle, 2 necklaces one dark metal, one silver with a few oval white beads.]

So with as busy as I've been finishing school and getting my business up and running I haven't had a lot of time to work on the fabrial. I finished making the hands, though I had to modify them from the drawing slightly. The dial is partially made, though I need to practice my hand engraving before I can finish it. The last change is that the brass surround for the movements had to be remade and is taking a while because it needs a lot of hand filing to shape it.

Not cosmere but I need to put this somewhere: a crow mask I made for this years renfaire

Someday I might make a place to put all my art but not today!

Made from EVA foam base, modeling foam (sculpted every single feather), wire mesh (for structure and shaping), labradorite stone, and acrylic paints

This was meant to be a sort of chaotic fae creature costume, so I had painted my silicone ears, made the crow mask, made a collapsible faerie ring that can be carried on a belt, some wings (glimpsed in the first photo) and more.

No one realized I made the mask but I did get an “oh shit” reaction from the head of costuming when I mentioned it so that was pretty cool. Maybe I could make a mold of the mask and sell reproductions

Had a lot of fun trading trinkets. Collapsible faerie ring won me a full plague mask in a delightful but utterly baffling encounter

Does anyone else get existential dread if you spend hours on something and then just shove it in a closet? The creation does not need to be loved, it can even be hated but by god someone needs to witness it. Look at it. Look at it. It took FOREVER.
