Time to make something for the summer

As we all know there are times during the summer time where we get unbelievably hot. Duvet can even be sweltering at night so after a very long time of hopeless repetitive hand movement and making granny squares crochet them its time to sew them all together to make a blanket just to have the basic cover to keep us a little warm without feeling like we're swimming in our own sweat

Like: They know how to cook everything in the book, sweets, healty, etc. Gifts them high quality scarfs that Totally match their outfits, knows every cure to any ill they may have, is not too touchy or invasive like one, but still caring, Bonus: he's making crouchet in the sofa and his Stand is holding the yarn while they work: 'You look like a granny!'-'But... My granny taught me how🤨???

La Squadra with a s/o who acts like a granny

Risotto Nero

He doesn’t say it loud, but he appreciates everything his s/o does. He’s so nice, so sweet… the one who mostly cares about Risotto, even if without cuddling him. Risotto is extremely grateful about his not too touchy support. Just knowing he’s here makes Capo feel better and less tired.

He tries his best to help him in kitchen as much as possible, but sometimes work is just too much and can’t be helped. When it happens, his s/o always prepares something special that melts his heart and cracks his always stern expression, making him smile a little.

The first time he finds him knitting on the couch, he’s baffled. They’re doing it for real? in the HQ? He has a hard time not laughing, especially when he spotted his stand which is holding the yarn. It’s… oddly cute? And his heart melts when he finds out, the moment he gives him the gift, that he was knitting a warm scarf for him. It’s black with, at the borders, Metallica’s little wiggling beans, so similar to the original ones to seem real. Risotto treasures the scarf, always wearing it in winter.

Prosciutto

Prosciutto’s kinda a granny too, in private. He likes more to stay at home and read a good book than go out, in the evening, and in winter he’d wear a shawl or keep his legs warm with a blanket while he’s reading. Just his s/o knows this “old” side of him, and just because he doesn’t make fun of him.

He’s a good cooker, so, when he’s not on mission, he’s more than happy to help his s/o to cook -and to learn more recipes!-. Sometimes they invite Pesci to dine with them and the younger assassin always has the impression to be at his grandpa’s house… it’s a nice sensation, all in all.

He snorts, when he sees his beloved all focused on his crochet work. He’s so cute… and his stand, all focused as well, is so even more. He lets him doing so, without complainings, just reading near them. When, for his birthday, he receives as gift a soft blanket with his initials in a corner. It’s so… personal, so cute… his s/o knows he suffers cold, so they knitted a blanket just for him. The same blanket that immediately becomes is favourite, of course!

Pesci

Pesci loves so, so much his s/o’s care and attention. He hates to have to kill, to have to be like this… his s(o is the one who keeps him sane. He’s caring without coddling Pesci -and Prosciutto approves-, he encourages the young assassin… if Pesci has a reason to come back from a mission, it’s his s/o.

He likes so much to see him on the couch, knitting and humming. It’s a so serene image… he even asks his s/o to teach him how to knit! In the end, they both knit together in a quiet and peaceful silence, exchanging their works as a gift.

Pesci proudly wears his green hat in winter. it’s his s/o’s gift, he loves it so much! And he loves even more to help him to cook. It’s so nice… he feels safe and satisfied, like he’s a normal person who’s spending a normal evening with his lover and not an assassin. He’ll never be grateful enough for this.

Formaggio

He’s absolutely amused by his s/o’s “granny side” and never misses to tease him about it -without being mean, of course- but, even if he doesn’t explicitly says it, he likes it a lot. It’s a ray of normality in his life, he feels supported and for once not looked down… it’s nice to feel so.

He absolutely adores his s/o’s dishes. They’re so genuine and delicious! Like he never tasted in all his life. He’s always happy when he knows it’s his s/o’s turn in kitchen, knowing they’re gonna eat something delicious -Formaggio knows hot to cook, but not as good as his s/o- and never misses to compliment him for his talent.

He barked out a laugh the first time he saw him knitting and, even more, his stand which was holding the yarn. He looks so much like a granny! But this doesn’t stop him to proudly wear the red sweater -with big deep red pois, like a cheese form- even during the team meetings, ignoring the others’ -especially Illuso and Melone’s- teases. He likes his sweater with all his heart! It’s like having a piece of his s/o always with him.

Melone

Melone’s absolutely head over heels with his s/o’s granny side. It’s so cute! So caring! He loves the thought that someone could care about him so much. Even if Melone is a cuddler, he appreciates that his s/o is not too cuddly; sometimes he too needs to work and when he does he prefers to be left alone.

His s/o knits? Adorable. Perfect. Can it be more perfect than this? He can stay on the couch watching him knitting all the day, even learning a bit how to do so. All in all, it can be a good and creative way to kill to teach to Babyface’s spawns… and he beams in pure joy when he’s handed a scarf that perfectly match his jumpsuit. It’s so adorable!!

Melone can’t cook even to say his life, so it’s a bless that his s/o knows so well how to cook. Melone can finally eat adequately! And put some meat on his bones. His s/o is so proud when he finally sees that Melone is not anymore just skin and bones! And Melone too starts to feel better, with more energy… and it’s all his s/o’s work! He can’t be thankful enough for this.

Illuso

Illuso is a creature of habit, more or less like a granny, so he and his s/o match pretty well. They tend to do the same things, in a quiet and familiar routine that gives Illuso the stability he needs. He’s more than happy to hug his s/o, but, since he’s not too cuddly, he appreciates a lot that his s/o supports him but not always with cuddles. Sometimes even just a look could give him more strength than a thousand of hugs.

He spotted him knitting for the first time from a mirror. He couldn’t restrain a chuckle, amused: such a granny! Still, it was nice to see him so focused and serene. Really a beautiful sight… and when he gifted him with a knitted sweater with his stand’s face on the front, he feels so warm and happy that he immediately wears it. Even if just in private.

He’s another one who doesn’t know how to cook, so his s/o’s talent is really useful. Illuso tries to help as much as he can without doing any damage, but more than anything else his s/o sends him to buy groceries and tries to keep him as far as possible from kitchen. Every shared meal is special and meaningful. Sometimes they invite also Sorbetto and Gelato, on Sundays, and it’s a classic big Italian lunch that leaves them all happy and satisfied.

Ghiaccio

In the beginning, Ghiaccio finds almost annoying his s/o’s tendency to be such a granny. Why is he like this? What’s fun in being like this?! He doesn’t understand, but this doesn’t stop him from loving him and this makes him even madder. He’s such a fool, but a fool in love.

The first time he saw him focused on a crochet work he almost ripped his eyes off. What?? That too? And his stand was involved too! He can’t believe it. Just… he can’t. Still, when his s/o gives him a warm knitted hat of the perfect hue of blue and with an elegant G embroidered in a corner, he feels guilty for what he thought. His s/o was working on it…

Ghiaccio knows how to do three dishes: grilled chicken, pasta with tomato sauce and salad. End of the story. His s/o’s dishes, on the other hand… have such a heartwarming taste. Like home, like family. He loves them so much, even he doesn’t say so. His s/o, anyway, knows better and by now he can interpret Ghiaccio’s expressions and he knows he’s happy.

I am new to pagan practices. Curious and learning the wheel of the year slowly. But I had a wonderful first Imbolc. I practiced today with self care, cleanliness, and creation. I’ve also been studying the days deeper meanings too.☺️

Today I:

- woke up slowly and peacefully ✨

- meditated and watered my plants whilst charging crystals on the windowsill🌱🔮

- cleaned my home, a nice spring clean

- performed imbolic bath ritual containing( 1 cup powdered milk, 1/2 cup honey, 1/3 cup coconut oil, lavender and sage essential oils, lemon peels. White candles lit, incense burning charged crystals near by). Think of the past calendar years hardships, set new intentions for the year to come in the process. Thank Brighid for growth and release of negative energies. Relax and release.

- stayed creative, added crouchet rows to a blanket, Color, and listen to music. Just breathe and vibe.

- drank lots of chamomile tea, ate cakes and dairy products to be festive.

- rest my energy, sleep when needed and realize we are still in the dark months, months meant for healing and growth.

Imbolc prayer:

It varies! She may text her friends, or try new recipes. If it’s already late, she might read something or practice handicraft, like crouchet. Shizuka also has her own list of games, mostly fantasy and adventure, and always very emotinal.

Although her religion is Shinto, Shizuka enjoys to know about other religions as Christianity, Buddhism, Islam. She holds a lot of respect for all beliefs, and believes faith is something important to the people. So, is she is allowed to stay, she might attend to understand it better.

Crouched shawl

After what feels like a lifetime upon knitting it i finally finished crocheting a very nice shell shawl, the other day, that will be particularly nice to those knitters at home that want something to keep the chill off you in the evenings in the summer sun when you decide to go for a nice evening walk. This can also be used as a blanket if desired and made the correct length to keep that nasty chill away in the winter and the spring time if needed.
