Summary: Waiting for Felix to return from tour you were starting to doubt your friendship, looking for any form of comfort until he comes home.

There was nothing you hated more than being on your own and unfortunately, when your best friend was a Kpop Idol, it was inevitable that you spent seasons on your lonesome. Watching them through the screens like any loyal Stay. Pushing down jealousy at the fan's discussions regarding their personal lives, like you didn’t know all their darkest secrets growing up beside them.

The days would start to blur together and things were left unsaid.

You couldn’t bring yourself to hit send. Sometimes you caught them in the chat, the three dots wiggling to signal that they were composing a message. What could they possibly have to say? You would never know because eventually they would disappear and nothing would be recieved.

They returned to Korea a week ago and hadn’t thought to contact you nor meet up. They were busy. It wasn’t because they hated you. It wasn’t because you were a bother. It wasn’t because they actually felt sorry for you and never actually wanted to hang out in the first place. Right?

It was a slippery slope that left you weeping a few times, checking your phone only to feel the disappointment grow. Feeling sick as your thoughts grow more and more intrusive. Abandonment issues rearing their ugly head as you bring your self back to the empty Chatroom. You found his things they had left behind in your apartment a beanie, a stuffed toy, a hoodie but their comforting scent had faded from each item.

Tossing your phone across the couch you make an effort to remove them form your mind concentrating instead on making lunch. Making lunch consisted of starring into the fridge deciding what you would eat versus what you were actually willing to create.

Contemplating your laziest option; a few slices of cheese your thoughts and outstretched hand interrupted by a knock at the door. Grabbing a single slice as you begrudgingly shuffled to the entryway. Placing the slice between your lips to free both hands for what you assumed was a parcel.

Special Request (Strade and MC fanfic)

This is actually just based on the barbie meme Strade floating around, this is my contribution to it. Enjoy!

Contains: Strade, Gender Neutral MC, Fluffy Nonsense, Meme-y Nonsense

Living with Strade had meant a lot of changes to your way of life. Mostly in the department of, what movies are coming out and when. When you had free access to social media and the world wide web, you were bombarded with trailers and ads for movies that may not be coming out for months.

With your internet access now limited and highly supervised though, it was much less so. If you did go online it was often to either show Strade something and ask him to buy it, or to watch youtube or read nonsense articles and quizzes. If you so much as typed "twitter" into the computer, the entire laptop would shut down thanks to Strades "parent locks".

However you had gotten a glance recently at a movie coming out soon, but were armed only with the dates it would be in theatres. So it had become a bit of a ritual for you, to ask Strade at least once a week...

"If you pass a redbox, can you see if the Barbie Movie is available yet?"

At first he had found it humorous, until you had become so captivated with the idea of finally being able to watch it, that he became interested too.

Actually you hadn't even asked him for a few days to check for it, you were simply minding your own business when Strade's hand appeared in front of your face. He was waving a DVD in front of your eyes, and the bright pink cursive font sent a thrill of excitement through you.

"Finally!!" Strade began to laugh, like he always did whenever you were overcome with excitement. You were bouncing on the couch, a move that was exhausting you rather quickly.

"Let me put some stuff away and grab us some beers, then we can pop it into the player." Strade left you with the disc, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Do we still have the lemon shandy?" you asked, wrinkling your nose at the idea of having to enjoy the movie with a Lager or a Stout. You gave a shriek at the feeling of cold, slightly damp metal pressing against your neck all of a sudden.

You reached back, snatching the can, not needing to turn around to know that Strade had a mischievous grin on his face. You glanced at the can. Lemon Shandy.

"I bought another case, since you have a problem with my Heineken." Strade gave your hair a rough ruffle, his choice form of showing physical affection.

With a grunt, he made himself comfortable on the couch, motioning for you to put the DVD in.

"Go on, lets see if this lives up to all the hype you made about it.... Never thought I'd be watching a barbie movie willingly."

So the other night (Tues night, aka Valentine’s, but in the early morning hours...), I reposted this great meme I’d seen on another server...

me @ Dimitri [emoji titled “dimitrisletters” with a flirty cowboy] Meme: Fonts Matter, with two illustrations of letters below, both saying “you’ll always be mine...”- the first has a heart following and is in cursive script, the second has a blood splatter and is a chilling serial-killer font (where the I in MINE coincidentally looks like a stake...)

Then @queenlissa responded with this beautiful little snippet...

Dimitri gathering his minions together to give feedback on his letters “Ok but which font conveys both my everlasting obsession with her strength, her beauty, her courage, and also my desire to murder her and destroy everything she loves?” “Um...” “Like which one really speaks to you of that simultaneous obsession and murderous intent?”

Which was hilarious... and now even the first illustration fully reads as dangerous to me

Then last night (so Saturday, at a much more reasonable hour), my eyes caught on that meme again... and I decided to get emotional about it

Do you think, now in later years, Dimitri still can’t write love notes to Rose for fear that it will trigger PTSD for one of them? Like, he’s leaving in the morning, and jots [down] “I’ll see you tnoight- I have fun plans [winky face] Love D”, then continues toward the door, stops, turns back around, rips up the note, and has to restrain from hitting himself in the face repeatedly on the way to work?

People yelled at me, and I enjoyed it. Because emotional catharsis or something.

They would defs have to work through things to be able to do love letters again. It’s my thoughts that Rose would be the one to write the notes to Dimitri as their way of reclaiming it -Steph

1. black sails. OBVIOUSLY. it's got everything. drama, intrigue, ocean gays, lying little wet rat twinks, anti-colonialist uprisings, caribbean history, grimy period-appropriate costumes, heartbreak, monologues, toby "saturday chillin don't fuckin @ me i'm chillin" schmitz calling himself daddy. everybody slays absolute cunt. it is THEEEE most perfect show ever created.

2. parks and recreation. rewatching p&r is an interesting experience because it was such a product of obama-era liberal america and the optimism just oozes out of every scene. also we don't like crisp ratt anymore. but it's also so genuinely funny and heartfelt and comforting! this show had a massive impact on my sense of humor, as well as i think framed failure in such a positive light: every character failed drastically at something over the course of the show, but through caring for each other were able to pick themselves back up and never let their shortcomings define them. i first watched it at a point in my life where i really needed that, so it has always stuck with me.

3. leverage. my comfort show to turn to when living in a post-capitalist hellscape that continues to reward billionaires for their moral bankruptcy while shitting on everybody else gets too depressing (so… like every day). is it campy and unrealistic? yes. do i care? no. sometimes you need escapism via direct action, heist hijinks, and extreme displays of bisexuality. also aldis hodge is one of the most beautiful human beings on planet earth.

4. supernatural. yeah yeah it's the hehe destiel meme show. but it was also tons of fun to watch every week, the worldbuilding started out fantastic (and then got progressively more and more insane), i think it's really the epitome of "really cool ideas with mostly lackluster execution". the bloody mary episode remains one of my favorite episodes of tv ever, and the fandom drama just keeps giving! i also met some of my dearest friends through the fandom, so maybe the real destiel love memes were the friends we made along the way.

5. twin peaks. the only show that made me so insane i went and got a tattoo of it. impeccable vibes, the experience of watching s3 and then memeing about it on reddit with everyone else who were all equally confused is an experience that will never be replicated.

6. love island uk. listen. fucking listen. i don't want this show to be listed here any more than any of you do, i'm sure. absolute bottom of the barrel brain rot that consumes my life and brings my workday to a grinding halt (thank you timezones) for the 2 months that each season is running. i absolutely have nothing good to say about love island uk other than it's sometimes really funny, usually unintentionally. but iain stirling's voice and those stupid neon pillows/beanbags and atrocious cursive font and catchphrases have wormed their way into my brain and nothing short of a complete lobotomy can remove it.

7. how to get away with murder. this wouldn't even be on here if saff and i didn't go on an insane binge of all six seasons last fall. but since we did… here we are. michaela pratt is an icon and has never done anything wrong ever in her life and i will die on this hill.

8. cunk on earth. this is probably recency bias speaking but oh my god i adore this show. it is exactly my brand of humor and i have so much respect for all the experts and miss diane morgan herself for making it through those interviews without breaking, because i would be fighting for my fucking life. this is the show that i will henceforth be recommending like a madwoman to all my friends.

Oh, Muffins, you've sent me down a rabbit hole. I've always heard Shar as having a sort of the "posh" variety of London accent that I can't stick a name to. I see her voice as a bit like Julie Andrews with a lighter accent combined with the dramatic boisterousness/angst of King Richard from Galavant. When she's angry (comical), her voice has that sort of scratchy deepness of Ms. Piggy fixing to "HIYYAAAH!" someone off a set. When she's scary External angry... I haven't figured it out yet because I'm swinging between "calm and cold" and "otherworldly eldritch horror".]

So fancy! She likes script and pretty fonts. She was born in a time where literacy was the venue of the clergy, so she takes a special pleasure in having the skill now, even if she's around a thousand years old. Give or take a few centuries? I'm leaning toward Norman Britain, but I haven't decided yet. Her handwriting isn't easy for everyone to read, especially since cursive is falling by the wayside.

6) Psychological headcanons (tastes, fears, talents, regrets, how they deal with anger, just anything that comes to mind on the topic)

Oh all right... xD I did not expect to get to talk about these characters, but naturally I’ll choose both of them since there are only so many times I get concrete questions!

(For Micolash)

Whereas having plenty of charisma and sly, fascinating appear, he is not actually as ‘chill’ and composed as one could think! He is as much in struggle with anger issues as he is able to mesmerise with his lull-like tone. That is normally. Wearing his cage reduces it significantly, the effect of it on his behaviour is similar to sedating medicine or strong calming herbs.

So, normally, Micolash is quite splitting between roughly ‘a sentimental, sensitive, gentle, dignified intellectual willing to give and receive nurturing (especially in terms of education)’ and ‘a callous, vain, unceremonious, snappy, demanding crazy scientist that only wishes full devotion and worship’. It is however not as easy as to draw clear ‘two states’! His moods (and wishes) shift somewhat chaotically, sometimes hitting severe childlike neediness or complete apathy, too.

No, seriously, he can be hard to understand. Now he is almost yelling at the patient for being ‘pathetic’ and ‘useless’ and (righteously!) scared and tells them they should try to be like Adeline, next day he will hold this same patient’s hand and sob to them about how much he wishes to soothe their emotional suffering if they let him. Or he will mock and tease a close friend about something important for them, and later act bitter if they appear distrustful. Or he will cherish a tiny bug, and then switch heads of a dog and a crow between each other.

He is very good at playing piano. Yes, this one is simply inspired by a deranged piano in his theme, love it a lot. Naturally he is a huge bookworm. He ended up knowing a lot about everything as well - nature, history, literature, all that. Needless to say knowledge about ‘normal’ world soon turned to be useless in his eyes, however he sometimes still ruminates about it fondly.

He has permanent ‘lagging’ in terms of habitual skills - constantly forgets how to tie shoelaces, switches up between cursive and print font chaotically while writing, will not eat or drink until someone reminds him (or rather finds him passing out from starvation), sometimes will catch himself puzzled before staircase or a doorknob trying to remember how to use these... In fact, Nightmare of Mensis nature is a big relief for him, as ‘magic’ practically carries him everywhere (and even lets him run with untied shoelaces and not fall!). In the waking world? Yeah he is often helpless in tiniest things. However even in the Nightmare he’d need help in removing his Mensis Cage if he was to want to remove it because... yeah he forgets how to do it. :’)

Upon meeting new people, Micolash tends to close the distance very soon, sharing too much and developing strong attachment too soon. That lead him to making very intimate friendships fast, however not many are comfortable staying once he shows his “ugly” side too, so ironically he combines that with trust issues and clinginess. Over years in Byrgenwerth as he matured from young student guy into late adult and moreso man of medicine, this had progressed into becoming a huge control freak and manipulator - that was extremely useful when he started School of Mensis, however, so no pain without gain I guess?

He really loves it though when he finds someone who talks a lot; as much as he enjoys lecturing (and simply listening to his own voice xD), he likes to relax just once. He might not say much but he is actually paying attention to everything, even if person is ranting about some nonsense that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things.

Back in Choir he was almost never wearing Blindfold Cap. All in all presence in the Choir was not pleasant for him - starting from lacking direct eye contact that he needs, personally, ending with the very concept of entrusting one’s mind and will to the ‘stars’ instead of aspiring for becoming one able to find this way. That’s his philosophy. That is also what he believed he was guiding his followers to, failing to realise he ironically himself became a very oppressive leader.

He developed the habit of becoming very distraught and anxious if he is not seeing nightmares for a few nights, fearing it is a sign of something divine ‘abandoning’ him. He believes objective reality could never be peaceful and beautiful and it is always ‘sweet lie’ no matter if a human or a God gives it, finding comfort in horrors and uglyness as result.

For as long as he himself remembers, Micolash is woefully bad at appreciating what he is given until too late, as he overlooked Rom’s unconditional love and respect before she moved onto listening to others (mostly Great Ones), or Damian’s devotion and fatherly patience before Damian started to fear him, not just for him- Heck, he wonders if he disregarded potentially good friendship from Archibald and Izzy too, sometimes. Watch him nevermind Wet Nurse who is by his side and only have his eyes on Kos now, lol!

If he wishes for someone to get beaten, he usually always has someone he can command do that instead, as he watches and gloats, maybe giving ‘advices’ sometimes. However if he is to raise his own hand at someone - he believes they should consider it a very big honour.

As little opinion as he has on the Choir, or people who remained Byrgenwerth students after Healing Church broke away from Willem, sometimes Micolash is stuck feeling sad and cold and yearning that back then they’d been more accepting of him. Deep down he is very lonely and still wishes for genuine love even if he had cast away every chance in the name of knowledge and transcendence.

Speaking of love, he is very bookish and nerdy and it is nearly impossible to flirt with him as he redirects everything to the smart facts and ‘bigger’ things! One might think he doesn’t have an inch of sexuality in him! ...Except for the fullmoons. This is when he becomes extremely sensual.

He tends to feel move vulnerable with women specifically though. This stems from the fact that he doesn’t do mocking laugher before ‘Oh, majestic~’ if you play as female Hunter! In fact, being a woman and angrily yelling at him is the most guaranteed way to wipe the ever-present smug smile from his face, he will feel uneasiness and pit in his stomach that he can’t explain. He just really doesn’t want women to be mean with him, he is in fact desperate for a motherly or mom-girlfriend attitude (with Kos as a peak of this dreaming), though he will try to keep his Big Guy Who’s In Control facade at his best ability.

(For Gehrman)

Gehrman is a strange mix of callous and gentle as well, but unlike Micolash, Gehrman doesn’t suffer from his feelings shifting chaotically! Instead, his curse is that he cannot express his tender side (or even realise it before too late). In younger (?) years, if he was to like someone - he could outright cherish a napkin they dropped like a relic, write a diary page all over with their name, craft them the best gift ever (that he would never actually give) but once that person actually talks to him - the dumbest, the most insensitive shit would leave his mouth! You never know if he is a jerk or just an idiot! He is only in touch with his caring and loving side when he is all alone, which... defeats the purpose.

However, unlike with Micolash that cherishes every single living being (until he doesn’t), Gehrman is consistent in his attitudes. He cherishes only and only and ONLY human life, disregards any of whatever monster/beast/mutant/Kin/God/whatever. This is the dark side of him; though there is something respectable about how much he’s devoted to defending the humanity, but it was number one cause of conflicts between him and Old Hunters that regretted Fishing Hamlet massacre or started to doubt purpose of the hunt.

Nuff said, he is top notch craftsman, with weapons or inventions or clothes. And he is never tired of having to detalize everything - in fact, the more details the better, as he loves to get lost in physical work! In modern era he of course would disdain mass production of whatever... and have a right for it, because he hardworking enough to replace a wholeass assembly line! xD Screw sewing machines as well, he will sew everything with his own hands! Wonder how he is able to accept printed books instead of writing every single one with a pen? xD /j But yes he likes to create things. I like to think that ridiculously elaborate embroidery of Willem’s clothes is his work. And Willem tried to stop him to the more minimal design, but Gehrman was too absorbed to listen.

Although being stuck in the Hunter’s Dream had weakened him mentally, overall Gehrman is an extremely tough guy. To a fault, actually - he bottles up a lot, doesn’t admit his fears and and doesn’t let even close friends to see him cry. Something akin toxic masculinity. He just gotta be a killing machine and a reliable worker rather than a human being, he gotta, you don’t understand! The good part of it is that he is very composed and level-headed when he is angry, he could never snap.

He hasn’t really learned a thing from ‘How to pick up fair maidens’. Think of every possible gag along the lines of ‘person writes a reminder on their palm and reads it all wrong’ or ‘person memorizes a cheesy flirting line but when they say it - the mix up words making it sound like something dumb or awful instead’. Unreal contrast to Micolash’s charisma, huh? Gee I have a blast still comparing these two.

His biggest regret in life is that he failed to be a reliable emotional help for Maria when she needed it during her crisis. He could never forgive himself for it, however he represses these feelings deeply. His second biggest regret in life is eventually animating the Doll through a ritual in the Dream, because loneliness started to drive him insane and he needed an assistant! At first he was feeling very disgusted with himself, to the point of sickness, as if he tainted his most precious memory for a selfish reason. But well, it was for the sake of the hunt too - he was mentally falling apart and sooner or later would have allowed some hunter to kill him to be free! Someone to take turns so not every hunter is on him would be helpful. He still doesn’t know Maria’s soul was summoned within Doll since she remembers exactly nothing, however he feels a bit guilty he failed to explain her how to be more humanlike because... well, he himself doesn’t really know that! He is a little scared of her, too, to the point of not being able to fix the manufacturing errors he made with her face since his hands were shaking too much that time. It just feels too much like touching face of Maria herself, and that is NOT allowed in his eyes, and never will be.

As a jaded Old Man (TM), naturally he has many stories from his life to share! In fact, ones before the whole mess with the dungeons and the hunt and the ascensions are almost equally as interesting! He tends to focus on particularly morbid and violent ones though, lol he doesn’t go to many parties xd

He is in fact waaaaaaaaay more ‘educated’ than expected, and he used to be just as curious as an average high-ranking Byrgenwerth staff! He used to be a teacher there, in fact. After all he did have interest in ascension too when he went at Fishing Hamlet. He also did invent at least two kinds of meteorite-cut weapons with unique properties, he discovered how to use crystallised old blood to enhance weapons, heck, trick weapons themselves as concept are his! He always finds the coolest ways to utilise the most useless materials. Basically he has every kind of talent as a pay-off for little social skills ahaha.

He’s been quite reckless from childhood, and had great instincts. His first ever kill count happened when a rabid dog charged towards him and his first reaction was to grab a sharp metal road and ready to fight it, instead of running. Bullies trying to mess with him as a ‘quiet weird kid’ would end up leaving him alone and declaring he was “crazy” - he never showed signs of fear, as if he was actually ready to die any moment? But maybe he was! Secretly, Gehrman found some dark joy in it when the hunts became a regular thing; the side of him that had him question whether he’s been a ‘callous monster’ all his life finally was useful!

Speaking of which, despite tender feelings that Gehrman possesses, he has less than average morality and through his life only adopts bits and pieces of it based on reaction of others - if it is strong enough. Like how he never felt in the wrong about Fishing Hamlet until something ‘moved’ in him seeing how much Maria, whose opinion mattered for him, was horrified and broken about it. Lives of innocent fish people? pfffffft! Disappointing a person he was trying to impress, however? Oh god oh fuck. ‘Protecting humanity from inhuman things’ is the one consistent principle he can hold onto as it is simple and direct, but finding evil within humanity is... complicated.

Shipping is based on chemistry, however Bruce/Natasha is definitely going to be a hard no, romantically (no exceptions).

Private/Discord Roleplays

Mun prefers to not do private roleplays/roleplay on discord. Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis however.

Accessibility

Mun is dyslexic. Putting an entire post into the cursive font that tumblr has will make your reply illegible to me. Making the text of your post small will also make it difficult for me to read. A long reply that’s just a wall of text is also a problem for me. Mixing bold and italic text in your reply for the aesthetic won’t necessarily mess with my ability to read replies though.

I’m also ADHD and chronically anxious about when it is appropriate to remind people about replying to threads, please bear with me on that, and absolutely let me know if I am a pest about it, because I can assure you, I am not intending to be annoying about it. I do use a thread tracker, but I don't put all of my threads in it, so if you don't get a response within a couple days, you may want to check in with me.

Icons

I don’t always use icons or gifs. If you want to, that’s fine by me, just try to avoid using gifs that are particularly flashy if possible. Unless otherwise specified, none of the icons I use were made by me.

Matching Reply Length

I don’t expect you to match the length of my replies and I will not try to match yours, I feel that interferes with the flow of the story being told in the thread. If you feel like my reply is too short for you to work with, I can attempt to edit it.

Duplicate Muses/Threads

I love writing with duplicates. I write with everyone in their own verses, so it’s not a problem at all for me to write with multiples of the same character, even of my own muses. I love seeing how different people approach the same characters.

I also have no problem revisiting ideas and concepts from past threads, with the same muse or with a completely different one, even at the same time.

Tagging Triggers and Spoilers Policy

I am terrible with tagging stuff consistently (just see the number of times I tag the wrong blog on replies), but if I know someone specifically needs something tagged, I do a better job of remembering, so please let me know. Or don’t follow me at all, if you need it reliably tagged. I won’t be offended. Also I won’t go back and tag triggers on old posts, there’s just too many posts to go thru to do that.

Spoilers will never be tagged. I don’t watch Marvel movies/TV shows for the most part until after they’re available on Disney+ for at least a month, if I ever watch them at all, so half the time I don’t know what movie/tv show stuff is from unless it’s labelled. Comics spoilers are also not tagged for the same reason.
