Pride and Prejudice Genre Swap: Political Drama
It is a truth universally acknowledged…
…that politicians and reporters don’t mix.
At least that’s what Darcy believes as House Representative Charles Bingley’s Chief of Staff. So when Bingley is seen fraternizing with a member of the press pool, he goes into crisis mode and hires a new PR Director — her sister.

Lyrics:
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's dare
It's dare
You've got to press it on you
You just think it
That's what you do baby
Hold it down there
Jump with them all and move it
Jump back and forth
And feel like you were there yourself
To work it out
Never did no harm, never did no harm
It's dare
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare
It's dare
You've got to press it on you
You just think it
That's what you do, baby
Hold it down there
Jump with the moon and move it
Jump back and forth
It feels like you were there yourself
To work it out
Never did no harm
Never did no harm
It's dare
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare
Never did no harm
Never did no harm
It's dare
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up, it's coming up
It's coming up
It's dare
Oh
You've got to press it on you
You just think it
That's what you do, baby
Hold it down there
Jump with the moon and move it
Jump back and forth
And feel like you were there yourself
To work it out

why bring up something that happened almost 20 years ago like it’s relevant now? we SHOULD have different standards now
Oh jeez, sorry, I didn't realise there was a statute of limitations on precedent. 🙄 How silly of me to think that Ferrari refusing to sign off on a rule adaption and hindering other teams in the process is in any way relevant to Ferrari accusing another team of refusing to sign off on a rule adaptation and hindering another team in the process.
You *want* the standards to be different now, but I'm sorry to break it to you, they're not. Every team is out for themselves and they're all willing to screw over their rivals to secure the most points for themselves and get the most money at the end of the season, especially in the cost cap era. Why else do you think Aston Martin filed that protest in Austria? Or Haas filed the protest at the USGP? They might not be cut and dry the same circumstances but they're all from the same playbook of trying to gain any advantage by any means necessary.
If you could let me know how far back in f1 we're allowed to refer to though, and I'll make sure to never speak about anything before those dates ever again...
