Yesterday, I Just Heard Disney Is Getting Moana Sequel, while I was at the Park with my dad And My youngest sister, I was getting surprised at this point of disney, They Didn't know it's will be Original or Sequel... but Now, It's Looks Like Disney Will Get A 2nd Chance after they Released Moana 2, And I Don't Want This Movie Will Be Fail, Getting Hate, and getting Flop from the Disney Haters, For what they done To Wish (Yeah, I'm looking at You Disney Haters -_-")

And Speaking About Megamind 2, I Thought This Is going to be Theatrical Film or Bring Back Will Ferrell from the 1st Film, But No, It's was Straight way to Peacock On March, And they didn't bring Will Ferrell, and They made Low budget animation of this movie, where is Theatrical Sequel Film!? We Been Waiting For 14 Years from getting the Sequel, But Now this, this is trash. Because my favorite movie is now ruined, now, I'm not At Mad and not blaming at Dreamworks after they Released on Megamind, I was so Disappointed, why Dreamworks have to do this after they made Successful during The Bad Guys, Puss In Boots: The Last Wish and Trolls Band Together in 2020s (Especially Ruby Gillman Teenage Kraken got Flop from the Box Office 😔), When I was only 8 in the year 2010, I keep seeing TV Spot on Megamind, it's make me So Laugh about the movie, And then I Suddenly watch the movie on Portable DVD during Redbox, while my family went to burger place (Ahh Memories! ^^), That Why Megamind Was The Best Childhood Nostalgia Years During In 2010 Year (Especially my friends On DA Chat, who was Growing up with the 1st film)

Skip From 14 Years later After The First Film.... Why They Have To Do This From Dreamworks and Peacock, How!?

Way Back on 2011, When Jeffrey Katzenberg, commented that the studio did not have plans to produce future movie-genre parodies like Megamind (2010), Monsters Vs. Aliens (2009) and Shark Tale (2004) or sequels to these, saying that these films "all shared an approach and tone and idea of parody, and did not travel well internationally. We don't have anything like that coming on our schedule now".

Even They Made Monster VS Aliens as A TV Series on Nickelodeon way back in 2013, when they Actually Replace By New voice Actors.

Why Dreamworks Decided To Make TV Series Based on Animation Films, And Getting New Voice Actors to get Replace.

ANSTURM AUF TOM WLASCHIHA IM PUPPENTHEATER: EIN HOLLYWOOD-STAR AUF HEIMATURLAUB

Hohenstein - Der kleine Saal des Max-Jacob-Theaters in Hohnstein ist rappelvoll. Kein Stuhl bleibt frei. Wahre Fans nehmen einen Stehplatz in Kauf. Nur um ihn zu erleben: Tom Wlaschiha (49). Gebürtiger Sachse aus Dohna, Schauspieler und "unser Mann in Hollywood".

Am Wochenende kam der Star zu Lesung, Talk- und Selfie-Runde in die Sächsische Schweiz, quasi auf Heimaturlaub.

Und was brachte er ins traditionsreiche Puppentheater des Hohnsteiner Kaspers mit? Den vierten Band aus dem Epos "Das Lied von Eis und Feuer" des amerikanischen Autors George R.R. Martin.

Die Romanreihe lieferte die Vorlage für die Erfolgsserie "Game of Thrones", in der Wlaschiha in der Rolle des Jaqen H'ghar 2012 seinen internationalen Durchbruch schaffte.

Die deutsche TV-Serie "Das Boot" (2018), die Netflix-Produktion "Die unglaubliche Geschichte der Roseninsel" (2020) oder auch die amerikanische Science-Fiction-Mystery-Serie "Stranger Things" (2022) setzen seinen Erfolg bis heute fort.

Doch seine Wurzeln - vom Aufwachsen in Neustadt bis hin zum Engagement am Theater Junge Generation in Dresden (1996-99) - hat Wlaschiha nicht vergessen. Für seinen Auftritt in Hohnstein verzichtete der Schauspieler auf ein Honorar, um den Traditionsverein Hohnsteiner Kasper zu unterstützen.

"Mit fünf, sechs oder sieben Jahren war ich hier mal im Kaspertheater. 40 Jahre später bin ich wieder hier. Da schließt sich ein Kreis und das ist schön."

Noch mehr freute sich Wlaschiha, dass er einen Kasper mit nach Hause nehmen konnte. Der Traditionsverein schenkte ihm einen hölzernen Gesellen mit einem Kopf, geschnitzt vom berühmten Kasper-Vater Gerhard Berger (†2018).

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf or Dragon Age: Dreadful?

Everything in this post is an opinion and a rant.

I'm going to get straight to the point. I don't think it's a surprise that BioWare's promotion and marketing for Dreadwolf has been horrible. First of all, the title itself is a massive spoiler for people who are probably just getting into the series, and secondly; the drip-feeding of "content" for the new game is just plain infuriating. The in-game cinematic released on Dragon Age Day last year is an example. It gave no extra information whatsoever and was basically just a rundown of things we already know from Inquisition. I don't have any issues with the game releasing late, I just wish they'd stop talking about it until they have a proper trailer or release date in mind.

There have been big comparisons made with Baldur's Gate 3 and Dragon Age and I can understand why. Probably because Bioware has worked on Baldur's Gate before but most likely because both of those games have been highly anticipated for some time and resemble each other in many ways. They both have a party and romance system which allows people to get to know the characters better and makes the plot much more interesting. I'm hoping that the new DA game will continue this like its predecessors but that's all I can do, hope. One can only hope when it comes to Dragon Age whereas Larian Studios (the studio that's making Baldur's Gate 3) has had the game available for early access since October of 2020 and constantly takes critique and suggestions on the game and how to go forth with it. Its steady development and polishing (at least steadier compared to DA) have led to its release being finally being announced which is in August this year along with a trailer to boot. Dragon Age: Dreadwolf on the other has been in development for nearly 7 years or more and we have close to no content on it other than some side stories, a behind-the-scenes reel that is 2 years old now, a spin-off Netflix show which was decent at best. And its teasers are now 4 years and 2 years old respectively. Most of this recent "content" doesn't even have anything to do with Solas or the plot of the game. And while I love The Missing comics that have just come out, they are not being marketed as well as they should be.

Trust me, I don't want to have doubts but BioWare isn't making things easy. With so many people leaving the studio and the date being pushed further and further, it's quite hard to stay positive. I absolutely love this world, Dragon Age: Origins and the entire series is my favourite and most likely always will be but I'm starting to lose faith in the developers. I don't want the final game to be ruined and what they don't realise is that their constant drip-feeding is only racking more pressure for their game to be a great success as people except a great deal when the game finally comes out given how we have gotten close to nothing on its story, characters etc. They're making the same mistake that CDPR did for Cyberpunk 2077, hyping up the game with nothing for a while only for it to be a massive disappointment when it came out.

I just hope that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, whenever it comes out, is truly THE game that everyone has been waiting for, in terms of something that BioWare has always been known for; story. DA games have always had great stories and I hope for nothing else with Dreadwolf. Even if the gameplay sucks and the game doesn't look that good, at this point all I care about is the story. Please BioWare, by the maker, don't fuck up your characters and your own reputation.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is truly a game that can either make or break BioWare.

Great Series (& Films) I’ve seen in 2022

This is a list I’ve made for myself but I won’t make it private in case anybody wants to check it out. Of course, this list is made of shows I love for different reasons but they have in common a great cast, excellent performances and very good writing, so I recommend all of them.

I’ve made a TOP 20 in order of preference and they’re also included with all the other shows I’ve enjoyed which I’ve organized by nationality but they don’t follow any order. TEW 2020: Let's At Least Run One Show

Last time we booted up TEW 2020, we did all the setup stuff. We defined our player character (Poppy, a real-life pop star), made our company, hired workers, made some title belts, and... that was basically it! (Last post here)

It's now the middle of June 2023. What's the plan for our first show?

Well, one of our bigger "gets" was The Voros Twins (Da Vinky???), which I think tells us one direction we should go in: tag teams.

The Voros Twins are heels (bad guys), and while we do have some faces (good guys) to put in a team (I've put Amazing Red & Samuray del Sol into a team called "Amazing Sol") I think it may be a good idea to look for some tag teams who are available to work for us.

While we wait for people to get hired, let's look at our Storylines. Our product type wants storylines, and I think what I really want is a "Good Guy Group vs. Bad Guy Group" thing going on at the start. We've established that Poppy is an on-screen personality, and we've floated the idea of Shane McMahon as some "outsider CEO type" last time, so let's go with that?

I've got another idea with this, as well. What if we tie in The Voros Twins? So Shane has brought in The Voros Twins (and other heels) to try and take over True Power Wrestling, while Poppy will bring in her good guys (Amazing Sol and other faces) to stop the takeover.

Something we should talk about, while I'm thinking about it, is "Perception". In previous TEW games, you could just tell the game "I think this person is a Main Event level talent" or, crucially, the game could tell you. This would fluctuate, and you can push someone or manually go in and make adjustments, but the game "knew" where to put people for the most part when you're just starting out. This is not how it works in TEW 2020. In this game, it's all about crowd perception, and there's no way for you to flag in-game where you, the owner/booker, think a talent should be.

Take for example Shane McMahon. Let's assume he was actually wrestling for us. Based on his popularity (59 Pop across the US) and his skills, he would probably be a main event talent. In TEW 2016, there's a drop-down I can select and put him there, which will help me with my organization and booking of shows down the line. In TEW 2020, despite the fact that people know who Shane McMahon is (remember, Popularity of 59/100 in the US!), and despite the fact that the in-game news reports on my company and all other wrestling companies, Shane McMahon has yet to get a perception rating.

Now, I get what this is trying to approximate. This system is trying to play out the difference between what the owners/bookers see (ex. Roman Reigns is The Big Star, he's gonna be on TV all the time) and what the fans see (ex. Roman Reigns doesn't have it, they are pushing him too hard and he just kinda sucks, we don't wanna see him on TV). The problem is that they've only allowed one part of that equation any form of categorization. Yes, I can get a notebook out and write out who belongs in what tier, but that's not useful when I'm trying to search through people. Right now it's manageable, we've got maybe 20 people total that we've hired. What happens when you play as a company as big as WWE? How do you go and filter for Main Event talent from your roster of like 50+ wrestlers? Not people the audience sees as a star, people you have labeled a star? You can't. There's no way.

Anyways, this is all to say that apparently my audience will not have a single sense or idea of what kind of talent Shane McMahon is until the day of the show or until I pre-book a segment/match, despite the obvious information in-game to the contrary. So, let's pre-book a match.

But first, let's make a dang event.

Not too much going on here, but this is how we set the specifics of our show. I'm gonna name the event TPW - Power Zone I, it will be 1 hour long, and it will happen on the last Saturday of every month. Tickets will be cheap so we get more people coming out to our shows, and we'll spend a bit of money to get better sets. Also, for now, this will not be put on TV in any capacity. We couldn't even get on public access lol

Now that we have an event, let's pre-book a match!

I've decided the match I want to pre-book will be that tag team match we've been talking about. Even though we're likely to get more people hired on before the show, I really want to have this one match ready to go. So I've selected 2 Vs. 2 from the left, clicked the boxes in the center bottom to add my wrestlers, then clicked on "Road Agent Notes" to explain how the match should go.

This is going to be a 15 minute match between The Voros Twins and Amazing Sol. One of the Amazing Sol guys will win, and the goal of this match should be to further the storyline they're involved in. Click pre-book and... uh-oh, apparently none of these guys can call a match in the ring, according to this game. Okay, change that to "scripted beforehand", and the pre-booking will go through.

Now that I've pre-booked a match, I get to finally see those perceptions! What does our audience think? That The Voros Twins are unimportant. Great.

Now, this isn't that big a deal. I can keep pushing them as main event talent, and if they perform well then the audience will see that. But... sucks that I couldn't have known any of this before this moment! Good thing we're having the twins lose, cause apparently the audience loves Amazing Sol!

With all that done, it's time to finally advance time.

We are finally at the screen that will handle our show! These show screens happen the "night" of the show happening. Now, in this screenshot it says we don't have a backstage incident, and that's cause I took the screenshot late. We did have one incident:

Neat. We have to acknowledge this incident before we actually run the show later, so we'll do that now. We do have "Absent Workers" highlighted, which tells us Shane McMahon is injured so he can't wrestle, Kylie Rae is on maternity leave, and Komander & Aero Star are working with AAA tonight). Guess we may have to find another night to run our shows for the future!

I've added my one match to the show, The Voros Twins vs. Amazing Sol, and I've used the "auto-booker" to generate more matches and angles for me. I really don't know how people view my roster, so I definitely need the help! After a touch of tweaking, here's the match card so far:

From first to last: 1. An Angle w/ Shane and Poppy (I imagine this to be an introduction to the "Shane wants to buy out True Power Wrestling") 2. El Hijo de L.A. Park vs Reyna Isis 3. Allysin Kay vs. Dragon Bane 4. An Angle w/ Big Swole & Frightmare (I imagine this is table setting for their match later on in the card) 5. The Voros Twins vs. Amazing Sol 6. Angle w/ Poppy 7. Frightmare vs. Big Swole

There are some people being left off the card, so I think I'll have them be in a tag match for the post-show. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with this lineup! I'll click start show once I've made my final changes.

Every time a segment happens, we get this screen that gives us a breakdown of what happened and how it got rated. Here's our opening segment w/ Shane & Poppy, and we can see it got the crowd hotter and it started the show off hot. We'll get this for every single segment, but I won't show every single segment.

So. Our angles are good, but our matches... not so much. The thing that hindered most was that they were unscripted matches, and it doesn't seem like anyone on the roster has the skills to call the match in the ring. I'll need to change our settings to make every match scripted. Big Swole is now our True Power title holder, and Allysin Kay is our Rising Star title holder. Now I gotta make a speech and finish out this day.

I'm going to compliment Shane, Patrick Voros, and Black Taurus. Giving people positive feedback will improve their morale after a few times, which is great! You want your backstage morale high so things don't fall apart socially. Limiting the messups to "i am a bad booker" is much better than "i am a bad booker and everyone hates each other backstage".

And with that, our first show was run! In the news the next morning, there's an "article": True Power Wrestling held TPW - Power Zone I in Mid South, and drew 86 fans. The feedback has been very positive.

Looking at our budget, we lost about $25k and earned around $5k. At this rate, we lose about $20k per show, and it won't get better until we can draw more people in. Since no one even knows about our promotion, we're gonna be in the red for a lonnnng time at this rate. Once we get to 17 Popularity in the Mid South we'll move from "Insignificant" to "Tiny", which will hopefully bring in more viewers. Until then... we keep up this pace as best we can, and try and get popular.

It took me a bit to figure it out, but here are my current ten favourite movies (in no alphabetical order):

Das Boot (1981): What can I say, I just love this movie! The acting and the cinematoghrapy get me every time.

Crimson Peak (2015): I originally watched it because of Tom Hiddleston, but absolutely fell in love with the story, costumes and setting!

Dune (1984): I watched this one because of Jürgen Prochnow, and even though the special effects are very eighties, I loved the movie! The storyline is lengthy, but I liked it nevertheless!

Dunkirk (2017): My cousins took me to see this movie in the cinema, and I had genuinely no idea what I was going into, but the cinematography and acting left me absolutely speechless. Not to forget about Hans Zimmers music, absolutely incredible.

Knives out (2020): This is one of the few movies I have watched several times for the pure enjoyment of it. The movie is so odd and funny at the same time, the acting is immaculate and the attention to detail knocks me off my feet every time. Such a good movie!

The Lodger (1927): My first silent movie ever! I watched it without expecting much and was blown away. It was scary and beautiul without relying on the effects we use in modern thriller. Huge fan.

Napola (2004): This was recommended to me by several people, and after watching it I definitely understand why! While the ending absolutely broke my heart, I loved the movie nevertheless.

Parasite (2019): I gave into the hype with this one and watched it, and what can I say. I was complete and utterly disturbed! Really well done horror, huge kudos to the author!

The Professor (2018): I saw this movie for cheap at a store and bought it because I grew up watching Johnny Depp in PotC. Had no real idea what to expect, but was absolutely fascinated by the movie. So sad and funny at the same time, overall a rounded, good movie.

A Room with a View (1985): My mother insisted on showing me this movie, and while I usually do not enjoy love stories at all, I did like this movie. Probably mainly because it has Rubert Graves an Helena Bonham Carter, but nevertheless I enjoyed watching it.

I was just playing around and procrastinating, so I decide to create this silly little share-a-majig about my connection to academia aesthetics.

Laird Hasenbär in Schottland - Tag 13

Lairds and Ladies!

Leider müssen wir heute unser fabelhaftes Cottage auf der Isle of Sky verlassen. Unsere Zeit hier ist rum.

Gestern Abend war noch Peter, der Eigentümer, kurz auf einen Sprung bei uns, um sich zu entschuldigen, dass sie so gar keine Zeit für uns hatten, weil sie so busy sind und alles fully booked ist.

Wir unterhielten uns kurz und erfuhren, dass es vorher ein ganz normales B & B gewesen sei und man wegen der strengen Covid Auflagen 2020/21 - und des daraus resultierenden Papierkram - sich dazu entschieden hätte nur noch Selbstversorger Unterkünfte anzubieten.

Aus dem B&B-Haus wurden Ferienwohnungen mit eigener Kitchenette und “unser” Cottage wurde funkelnagelneu dazu gebaut.

Diese Unterkunft können wir absolut mit bestem Gewissen weiter empfehlen. Es fehlte wirklich an nichts.

Und all diese liebevollen Kleinigkeiten waren wirklich fabelhaft.

Gegen 10.15 Uhr kommen wir von dem Cottage los.

Es schüttet wie aus Kübeln und die Berge sind teilweise so Nebel verhangen, dass man sie gar nicht mehr sieht.

Wir müssen extrem vorsichtig fahren, denn Radfahrer, Wanderer, Tiere und andere Unberechenbare nehmen, in nicht unerheblichen Maße, am Straßenverkehr teil.

Man sieht, dass es heftig geregnet hat. Überall kommt Wasser die Berge hinunter.

Bis zur Skye Bridge benötigen wir alleine bereits über eine Stunde bei diesem Wetter.

Wir fahren auf einer kleinen Strecke die Scenic Route North Coast 500 zunächst bis zum Loch Luichart.

Dabei passieren wir wirklich zauberhafte Ortschaften. Wir hätten gerne gehalten, aber der Regen vermiest wirklich alles.

Die A 832 führt über die Conon Bridge, die über den namensgebenden Fluss Conon führt.

Bevor die Brücke von Conon Bridge entstand, gab es die Scuddel Ferry. In den Zeiten vor den Brücken gab es überall breite und gefährliche Firth-Überquerungen. Die Überquerung der Flüsse Beauly und Conon an der Spitze der Fjorde war Wetter abhängig mal sicherer und weniger sicher.

Erste Hinweise auf eine Fähre gehen bis in das Jahr 1586 zurück. Die erste Aufzeichnung eines ernsthaften Zwischenfalls stammt aus dem Jahr 1667, als die Conon-Fähre wegen völliger Überladung sank und 22 Passagiere mit sich riss.

Überladungen führten immer wieder zu Tragödien. Die Fähren waren damals oft in einem schlecht Zustand und die Fährleute zudem betrunken, unhöflich und auch Betrügereien nicht abgeneigt.

Laird Mackenzie aus Belmaduthy beschwerte sich darüber im Jahr 1765 bitterlich:

Er hatte kürzlich die Gelegenheit mit seiner Kutsche und 2 Pferden auf der Fähre von Scuddal überzusetzen, als ein unverschämter Fährpreis verlangt wurde. Zudem sei die Fähre extrem schmal und ungeeignet ein ganzes Kutschengespann zu laden und wenn nicht zwei seiner Diener die Räder festgehalten hätten, dann wäre die Kutsche unweigerlich über Board gegangen.

Die Post bliebt hier ebenfalls oft an der Fähre liegen und so errichtete man 1791 eine kleine Hütte an der Norseite. Von dort konnte ein Fährmann ein Auge auf den eintreffenden Postmann haben und ein Boot für ihn bereit halten.

Im frühen 19. Jahrhundert wurde endgültig die Entscheidung zu Gunsten einer Brücke, die die Fähre ersetzen sollte, gefällt. Die Lösung für den Conon war eine fünfbogige Brücke, entworfen von Thomas Telford und gebaut von 1807-9.

Den Besitzer der Scuddel-Fähre wurden mehrere Hundert Pfund Entschädigung bezahlt, als die Brücke gebaut wurde. Telford berichtet, dass selbst als erst nur das Gerüst vorhanden war, die zu Fuß reisenden die Fähre verschmähten.

Der gleichnamige Ort Conon Bridge entwickelte sich ursprünglich erst während des Baus der Brücke, wurde aber unweigerlich zu einem eigenständigen Zentrum.

Wir fahren weiter bis zu dem pittoresken Dorf Muir of Ord, welcher für seine Whisky Distillery bekannt ist.

Die 1838 von der Ord Distillery Co. (R. Johnstone & D. McLennan) gegründete Brennerei liegt in den Northern Highlands, südwestlich der Black Isle. Sie nannte sich einfach Ord oder Muir of Ord.

Bereits vor der offiziellen Gründung gab es, nahezu selbstverständlich, eine Schwarzbrennerei im gleichen Gebäude. Der Standort erwies sich als geschickt gewählt, da auf der nahen Black Isle das Hauptanbaugebiet von Gerste lag.

The Ord, 15 Meilen nördlich von Inverness, der Hauptstadt der Highlands ist eine flache Ausdehnung von Land zwischen der Küste und den Hügeln. So manche Schlacht zwischen schottischen Clans wurde hier geschlagen aber die meiste Zeit war es ein Marktplatz zu dem Herden von Rindern, Pferden und Schafen aus allen Richtungen getrieben wurden.

Hier ist Mackenzie Country und die Clan Castles Eilean Donan, Kintail und Brahan liegen westlich. 1598 kaufte Thomas Mackenzie die Gegend, baute Ord House und wurde Farmer. Seine Bierschänke und sein Wohnhaus wurden mit reinstem Wasser aus dem Allt Fionnaidh Burn versorgt und sein Nachfahre, Alexander Mackenzie nahm genau diese Quelle, als er 1838 die Destillerie baute.

Die Dinge ließen sich gut an und die verschiedenen Besitzer hatten ihr Auskommen, obwohl es auch schwierige Zeiten gab und es Bankrotterklärungen gab.

In der Gegend gab es 9 weiter licensed stills und der Konkurrenzkampf war hart. Alle regional angebaute Gerste wurde für Whisky verwendet, der schnellste Weg um Rohmaterialien in Bargeld zu verwandeln. Whisky war das einzige Produkt der ganzen Gegend.

1847 ging R. Johnstone pleite, 1855 hießen die Besitzer Alexander McLennan & Thomas McGregor. Einer der Betreiber ging in den 1870ern bankrott und starb. Seine pragmatische Witwe sorgte dafür, daß sich das nicht wiederholen würde und heiratete einen Bankier aus Beauly, Alexander MacKenzie. So gehört die Destillerie wieder dem Clan der MacKenzies.

Zunächst läuft alles gut für Alexander. Er mietet Glen Ord für 19 Jahre und errichtet ein neues Brennereigebäude. Leider fällt dieses einem Brand zum Opfer. Glen Ord wird mittlerweile in Singapur, Südafrika und anderen Ländern verkauft.

1878 werden neue Gebäude errichtet, die prompt niederbrennen. 1896 kaufte die Firma Watson and Son aus Dundee die Brennerei. Watson spezialisierte sich auf verschiedene Blended Whiskies.

In den 20er Jahren verzeichnete die Distillery zahlreiche Besitzwechsel bis sie 1923 zu John Dewar & Sons. 1930 findet sie sich wie viele andere bei den Scottish Malt Distillers Ltd. (SMD) unter dem Dach der DCL wieder.

1966 wurde die Glen Ord Brennerei zum ersten Mal umfassend erneuert und die Zahl der Stills auf nunmehr 6 erweitert.

Im Jahr 1968 wurden die mächtigen Glen Ord Maltings erbaut. Später wurde die Brennerei ausgebaut und die Effektivität im Produktionsprozess erhöht bis zur Übernahme durch Guinness im Jahr 1985.

Neun Jahre später eröffnete in einem der ehemaligen Lagerhaus das neue Besucherzentrum.

Achtung: zur Zeit finden große Umbauarbeiten statt. Das Besucherzentrum ist geschlossen. Führungen sind nur per Voranmeldung möglich - auf Wunsch auch in deutscher Sprache, wie man uns später mitteilte (nach der Führung).

1985 wird sie von United Malt & Grain Distillers (United Distillers) gekauft. Sie hat zu der Zeit die 3 wash stills und 3 spirit stills. Wasserquellen sind der Loch nan Eun und Loch nam Bonnach.

Ihre Kapazität liegt bei damals 3.400.000 Litern im Jahr. Torf wird im Frühjahr in einem lokalen Moor gestochen, wird bis zum Herbst getrocknet und in der Distillerie ganz getrocknet, bevor es zum Einsatz kommt. Früher wurde es bis zu vier Jahren gelagert, um das beste Ergebnis zu erzielen.

Die floor maltings werden bis einschließlich 1961 genutzt, bis eine Saladin Box eingebaut wurde. Bei diesem System wird das Malz nicht mehr von einem Maltman mit der Shiel von Hand gewendet, sondern mechanische Rechen laufen in einem Mälztrog auf und ab.

Ab 1984 übernahm die Großmälzerei in Muir of Ord auf dem gleichen Gelände mit ihren Drum maltings, die Aufgabe das Malz für viele andere Distillerien im Konzern Diageo und für ganz Nord- und West-Schottland zu produzieren.

1997 erfolgte der Zusammenschluss von Guinness und Grand Metropolitain zum Diageo-Konsortium, welche auch heute noch im Besitz der Brennerei ist.

Der populäre 12 Jahre alte Singleton of Glen Ord wurde ab 2007 auf ausgewählten asiatischen Märkten eingeführt. Zwischen 2011 und 2015 wurde die Brennerei erneut deutlich ausgebaut. Glen Ord ist heute die sechstgrößte Brennerei Schottlands.

Dennoch wird der Single Malt von Glen Ord eher selten unter dem Namen der Brennerei selbst vertrieben. Der Großteil fließt in die Blends vom Besitzer Diageo und in die Whiskymarke The Singleton. Unter The Singleton werden neben Glen Ord auch Glendullan und Dufftown Single Malts abgefüllt.

Glen Ord Whiskys werden sowohl in Sherry - als auch in ehemaligen Bourbonfässern gelagert. Allerdings sind wir auch hier wieder erstaunt, dass die Fässer nicht vor Ort gelagert werden.

Die im alten Warehouse, als Teil der Führung, gezeigten Fässer sind angelich ebenfalls nur Schaustücke. Warum man dann ausgerechnet hier keine Fotos machen darf erschließt sich uns überhaupt nicht.

Unsere vorab gebuchte Führung dauerte 75 Minuten und beinhaltete 3 verschiedene Whiskies (á 10 ml - ich habe genau hingeguckt) im Tasting. Der Preis pro Person betrug 11 Pfund, wobei es auf den Kauf eines Whiskys 10 % Rabatt gab.

Nach dem Besuch der Whisky Brennerei geht es für uns direkt weiter nach Inverness, unserem nächsten Etappenziel. Das Wetter hat sich zum Glück beruhigt.
