I finally did this… after so long, I had this in my mind since I saw the handsome, delicious human version of King Cold that @amiz06-certified-b1mb0 designed. So… Something simple here, King Cold hired Cyrtolite, to do a portrait of him since he has heard that Cyrto is quite good in his job. And let’s just say this new client’s beauty has captured Cyrtolite’s attention. Here I added a subtly suggestive conversation between them. I probably will post more of these, I still want to add maybe two more parts 🐊

Heya everyone just wanted to say I will be making two Undertale multiverse comic series one named dani-verse and the other named multiversal madness but let's talk about dani-verse so basically in dani-verse the roles of some out code will be switched though some of them keep their personalities while others will have completely new ones and their names will be changed such as:

Nightmare/nighty: ink's role he guards aus and help those who are in need

Dream: he keeps his role though he looks more like shattered dream

Fresh/fash: error's role though he doesn't destroy au's he just collects and corrupts them

Ink/inquid: nightmare's role he loves chaos

Error/gell(a mix of geno and kill): killer's role he works for inquid

Player:they take the role of core frisk in this multiverse

Now for characters that don't switch roles with anyone

XI TALE CAST (XI TALE was inspired by xtale by @jakei95 ):

XI TALE GASTER:he is often referred to as river gaster because he wears a cloak similar to the river person he has a red monster soul and an ability known as OVERRIDE,owns the 11th timeline of XI TALE

XI TALE FRISK: acts like Xchara though has some of x frisk personality as well as us chara,owns the 11th timeline of XI TALE

XI TALE CHARA: has the personality of x frisk though he mostly acts like Asriel and throws a temper tantrum when he doesn't get his way,owns the 11th timeline of XI TALE

XI TALE SANS: he acts like the normal sans would he is the judge and has special karma that instead of doing more damage depending on LV it does damage depending on DT,he owns a hot dog kart but despite that he sells burgers

XI TALE PAPYRUS: his personality is far from the original papyrus,he still believes in pacifism but he will kill if absolutely necessary he is the commander of the royal guard and the royal scientist as well,he has two special eyes given to him by XI TALE GASTER causing him to develop those gaster marks on his eyes

XI TALE UNDYNE: general of the royal guard she was trained under papyrus for thirty years(XI TALE papyrus is older than undyne) she has an immense amount of determination with said determination being comparable to that of a human,she has a chill personality and likes to watch anime though she prefers manga (for those wondering her favorite anime is DBZ (rip toriama))

XI TALE GERSON: captain of the royal guard, he is referred to as the heroic hammer or the hammer of justice,has determination but not a lot,he owns a shop and he's pretty chill

XI TALE CLOVER:a human that was spared and trained to become a royal guard but he's a trainee do not yet an official royal guard,he was adopted by a bird monster named marlo,he has a shy personality though believes in justice

Alphys: papyrus' assistant she takes the role of royal scientist when papyrus isn't around

Asriel:the prince of the monster race,he is the little brother of frisk and Chara,he often follows the royal guard on missions to make sure their chance of winning is 150%,he has dt and it is much more than undyne,can save and load but can't reset

Asgore:king of the monsters,he is very powerful,almost as powerful as XI TALE GASTER he can use blue and orange attacks and utilizes them in battle,his trident is red because it is made of determination

Toriel:the queen of monsters,she rules the monsters alongside asgore,she is the one who found and adopted frisk and Chara in the 11th timeline

Mettaton: a robot made by alphys for entertainment and this one is an actual robot not a ghost given a robot body though papyrus took the soul of a dying monster and put it in the robot body so yh

Napstablook: the same as the original, nothing's changed

When sempai notices the prosecco but not you.

Yet another comic started a while ago, inspired by all the chatting and brainstorming with @amiz06-certified-b1mb0​! Digging in her DBZ Human AU is a continuous marvel, and I always can’t wait for her next updates! It’s all so hilarious, clever, emotional and exciting! Her story just rules -- I can’t say much more than this, but it does. Get ready for the next bits, they’re gonna rock! Thank you so much for the inspiration, Ami!

It was fun to play with Mariko’s character in this “non-magical” AU. Adapting the Time Patrol to a police special investigation task force, thinking how Mariko’s relationship with her parents would be (still tense, still “Sorry if I’m not the perfect daughter”) (also first time I draw her parents at all!) and so on. I was inspired by Clarice Starling from “Silence of the lambs”, a young ambitious recruit eager to get her hands on her first important case, so I think Mariko would be 25 or so here. Her parents still drag her to formal events, however, hoping she’d get in the elite network rather than just the police one. Surprisingly, her favourite rock star also happens to hang out in these places! She has no idea which family Cooler actually belongs to. She hoped to be remembered from that time with the authograph but well... The Cold family passion for wine just obscured her presence.

Also this comic was meant to be “just a doodle” and as usually, I went all out without planning. Background is from an anime (I just googled “ballroom anime”) because I can’t with backgrounds. One day, maybe. One day. 

Mariko’s hairstyle is inspired by this old art of her I did years ago. She looks so young here, I’m getting emotional to see how my baby has grown!

🔥 Yout most unpopular opinion concerning fanfiction please!

I am the best in the world. Let me try that again.

The ideal, at least in my mind, is to try to compliment the original work, to create a similar experience to what was in the original work, or at least to make it as authentic as possible.

Maybe this isn't an unpopular opinion at all, but I get the sense that not many people see it the same way I do. Most fanfic that I see is done in these really short scenes, often far removed from whatever is happening in the source material. I get that; sometimes you want to put the characters in a different context, for wish fufillment, idle fantasy, or maybe just to show them making out. That's all well and good.

But I'm of the opinion that writing a DBZ story is the same kind of task whether it's fanfiction or official work. There's certain things people expect to see from a DBZ story, and I have a responsibility to deliver. That might not come across as well with the first several dozen chapters of Luffa, but hopefully it does with the recent stuff I've been doing with the Xenoverse portion of the story. When you read my retelling of the battle on Namek, my hope is that it feels like it did when you watched the show. I want to make Frieza sound like Frieza, and do the things Frieza would do. If I make him too merciful, or too aloof, or whatever, then it could take the reader out of the experience I'm trying to create.

I'll give you an example: A few days ago, I bought this Star Trek: The Next Generation comic, a collection of "Evil Universe" stories. The first arc was great, because it really did feel like I was watching an episode of the TV show in comic book form. The second arc... not so much. I don't want to list every problem I had with it, but a lot of times the characters just didn't sound very much like themselves. There was one part where Picard asks Wesley Crusher to get confirmation of their orders from Starfleet, because he thinks something's fishy, except Wesley's the Helm Officer, that's not his job. On the show, Picard would have asked Worf or Data to work on that instead. Speaking of Worf, they made him a commander in this story, but it was set in Season 4, when he was a lieutenant. I know this sounds like nitpicking, but these things started to pile up after a while, making it hard to appreciate the story on its own terms. Did the writers screw up, or did they just not care?

Comic book writers are notorious for handwaving stuff like this. They'll not only dismiss continuity flubs, but openly mock people for pointing them out. "Hey check out this nerd who expects my stories to be consistent!" It's a shitty attitude, because it punishes people for caring about your work. And if you refuse to take your own stories seriously, why should anyone else? It takes like two seconds to look up Worf's rank in a given season of TNG. It takes a little longer to study the footage and learn his "voice", and to understand what his job is on the bridge, but that's boilerplate. If you're writing a Worf story, you should at least know the character that well, because your audience certainly does.

But I do see a lot of fanfic out there were the writers are just having the characters make out, or just straight up doin' it. And that's fine--part of the point is wish-fulfillment-- but it needs to be more than just treating the characters like action figures and mashing their faces together. If you're writing Worf and Data having sex, then go ham, but make sure to include enough character-specific details that this story could only be about Worf and Data, and not anyone else. Don't have them crack jokes, because neither of them are funny. Maybe have Data think about how this is the second security chief he's gotten it on with. Don't write them as idiots, because they are very smart astronauts in the future.

I don't mean this to sound accusatory or condescending. It's just that I think there's a lot of fanfic that blows off the little details in the name of "creative freedom", sanding off the edges of the characters until they become unrecognizable. If you're going to write Captain America in a Coffee Shop AU, then he'd better have something about him that makes me recognize him as Captain America, even if he's just a barista in this world. He needs to salute a flag or give a rousing speech about the evils of fascism. You can't just slap Chris Evans in an apron and call it done, though. That might be sexy, but he could be the Human Torch in a Coffee Shop AU for all I know.

But seriously, though, I am the best writer evar.

Ok so I've never seen dragonball z but I love everything you do, so I gotta know would your comic make sense to readers that are dragonball clueless?

its an AU of the Cell saga so if you read this and the basic info of the dbz characters you will be good, but Cell is the major player along with my Character Julian. You could probably get away with not knowing but it would help. Julian Darith and anything mentioning Gray Island is all mine and will be explained as the comic and fanfic go on.

God i hope this doesn’t scare any of you away from this :Here’s a quick primer for you for DBZ

Cell now this will alllll be AU but its good to know where it all came from and faces to names.

Now info for my stuff

(A quick thing about Julian’s word but this will all be reveled through out the comic) 

Gray island is more than just an island and Julian’s home its actually the hub of a huge multiverse empire.  The island is guarded and protected from unauthorised multiverse travel the only way one to it is if you’re brought there.   The island is home to what remains of that world’s Elementals, call demons by the humans that nearly wiped them out. Kat brought them to the island to protect them and i the end the island became a sanctuary for anyone who needed it. Mostly children from abusive households and the unwanted from other universes. Other universes connect to the island like spokes on a bicycle wheel, each world connected to Gray island must follow the rule of law laid down by Kat. Kat doesn't conquer other worlds; he builds alliances. If they do not wish to become part of the empire, they work together on a peace deal and become allies.  The philosophy of Gray Island is It’s easier to keep loyalty with kindness and a gentle hand than with fear and a fist.Gray island is also not only a huge hub for multiverse travel but it’s also a hub for information and learning. It has the best schools in all the multiverse and the top college, the schools are free even college.  The island itself is warm and sunny, and MASSIVE its 1000s of miles across in some places and home to millions of people. the whole island is surrounded by a beautiful reef and the Crystal ocean.

Apart from my amazing artistic RP mutuals, I want to give a shoutout to other great DB artists I follow and really deserve love and attention.

@chickenoptyrx - Such an inspiration for me whenever I need references, especially with Shallot and Raditz -- I could look at their art on them for hours. I just LOVE the way they draw faces and hair, and their stories with Trunks and Broly are also creative and amazing.

@dailycupofcreativitea - everything about their style just brings a smile to my face whenever I see it! Great Gohan-related art, sketchy and lively, has all the nostalgic vibes from DBZ! Litterally, their posts are as cosy and enjoyable as a nice cup of warm tea!

@amartbee​ - intense expressions and great anatomy. A real pleasure for the eyes, and their art has a flow I can’t help but love.

@aolihui - dramatic poses, sweet and adorkable drawings (lots of VegeBul), really gets me to snicker at some of the expressions, they’re too funny!

@cozymochi​ - this artist is now onto other fanarts but really, follow them! They are so amazing in owning different styles and their DB fanart was incredible. Their love for Yamcha and the OC they created, Marzi, was one of the sweetest things on my dash!

@amiz06-certified-b1mb0​ - last but not least. Their art on the Cold family is on point, sharp, elegant, and the whole lore about their DB Human AU comic just sucked me in for its creativity.
