When sempai notices the prosecco but not you.

Yet another comic started a while ago, inspired by all the chatting and brainstorming with @amiz06-certified-b1mb0! Digging in her DBZ Human AU is a continuous marvel, and I always can’t wait for her next updates! It’s all so hilarious, clever, emotional and exciting! Her story just rules -- I can’t say much more than this, but it does. Get ready for the next bits, they’re gonna rock! Thank you so much for the inspiration, Ami!

It was fun to play with Mariko’s character in this “non-magical” AU. Adapting the Time Patrol to a police special investigation task force, thinking how Mariko’s relationship with her parents would be (still tense, still “Sorry if I’m not the perfect daughter”) (also first time I draw her parents at all!) and so on. I was inspired by Clarice Starling from “Silence of the lambs”, a young ambitious recruit eager to get her hands on her first important case, so I think Mariko would be 25 or so here. Her parents still drag her to formal events, however, hoping she’d get in the elite network rather than just the police one. Surprisingly, her favourite rock star also happens to hang out in these places! She has no idea which family Cooler actually belongs to. She hoped to be remembered from that time with the authograph but well... The Cold family passion for wine just obscured her presence.

Also this comic was meant to be “just a doodle” and as usually, I went all out without planning. Background is from an anime (I just googled “ballroom anime”) because I can’t with backgrounds. One day, maybe. One day.

Mariko’s hairstyle is inspired by this old art of her I did years ago. She looks so young here, I’m getting emotional to see how my baby has grown!

I’d Give You My Lungs So You Could Breathe (WIP)

Raditz finally holds his newborn baby brother. Part of chapter 1.

“You have the whole world caring for you. Aba came back from the army for you. Ama’s been holding you all day and everyone in the family keeps talking about the mighty moon baby.” Raditz narrowed his eyes at the little gremlin in his arms, and added in a haughty tone, “Well, I hope you know I don’t care about you.”

The baby gurgled at him in response, as if asking for further explanation. He waved his little hands around and Raditz felt the need to explain himself. “Well, you already have everyone else. It’s not like me liking you will do anything. If too many people care about you, baby, you’ll explode. Like a stomach filled with blood!” Raditz mimed the movement, letting one of his hands leave the swaddle of blankets to demonstrate a showering of liquid. The baby giggled, reaching out to grab the other boy’s shimmering fingers.

With a grin, Raditz made the move again in a more exaggerated fashion and the giggles grew even louder. “Oh, you like that do you? Exploding things? They’re pretty cool. At the Full Moon Festival, my cousin Onia--well, I guess our cousin Onia--kept being annoying and one of the boys threw one at her head! She screamed so loud, even louder than you!” The baby listened with a happy expression on his face, eyes tracking the movements of Raditz as he went on about his story, and when the older boy stopped, he made his displeasure known by beginning the loud crying that Raditz knew all too well.

“Okay, okay, fingers stay up!” Raditz rushed, shimmering his fingers until the baby was quiet again. “You’re pretty temperamental. Kind of like Ama, but you’re not nice after. And you look so much like Aba, really. Only without the scar. And the meanness. No, you’re not like Aba or Ama at all. You’re something new, aren’t you?”

One of Raditz’s fingers drew close enough for the tiny child to grab with surprising ferocity. He got him. Another giggle ran through the air, and Raditz’s little brother, the small moon baby, smiled with true joy. The moonlight hit his face and lit it silver in the darkness, and Raditz could make out little pieces of himself in the other’s enlightened expression. There was half of his nose, the curve of his ears, his dark eyes that stared back at him in every puddle. Raditz’s mouth became dry, caught in the face of something totally new. A feeling he couldn’t name.

“I don’t need you at all, you know.” The boy was quiet, and he drew the baby closer to his chest. “I never asked for a brother. I never wanted one. I still don’t.” His brother gurgled against him, and he could feel a fast heartbeat against his. The moon shone down on the pair, and the baby gripped his finger even tighter. Suddenly, the baby moved his head upwards. His black eyes were silver in the moonlight, and he looked right up at Raditz for the first time. Raditz could see his brother for all he really was, a little baby with the face of his father and the soul of his mother who screamed louder than any Oozaru under the moon, and Raditz knew someone in there saw him too. What did he see?

“I don’t need you.” The words sounded weird to his ears and the baby turned his head down so his head rested against the boy’s chest. His brother was so small. Raditz suddenly worried that he would break into little pieces, shattered into bits of screaming silver. The thought made his mouth run dry. Why should he care? But his brother held his finger so tightly, his little fist closed and breathing happily. Raditz felt the need to destroy everything around him paired with that strange feeling, and he held the new addition to his family tighter.

Quietly, into the moonlight, the little boy said, “Maybe you need me. A big brother to keep you safe. Maybe I’m here for you, not the other way around.” The thought prompted a funny feeling, and he stared outward into the dark. “What do you think?”

The baby gave no answer, comfortably on his way to sleep.

“Oh, now you’re quiet? That’s what I thought. Little tired moon baby, you are. I’ll be here until you can tell me. We’ll wait until then, Kakarrot. We’ll wait until then.”

Raditz held his brother throughout the night until he too was asleep. In the other room, his mother was finally able to have a full night’s sleep for the first time in weeks while his father grumbled in his dreams about war and famine and disease, of dark days to come. The moon lit up all of their faces and then slipped under the earth for the family of four to begin a brand new day.

I did more DBZ Human AU art and massively updated Baby-Vegeta Yōji's backstory and lore as well as added some more GT to this AU. And did a few things with @amiz06-certified-b1mb0's Cooler again.

I tried my best to emulate the magazine cover style for these two pictures... Btw that Cold/Cell art uh... Helped me to draw Yōji's moosley chest.

I have miss spelled Tusfruain too many times, it'll just keep changing until I settle into using one singular spelling. Like Saulza's name

My boy's main looks... *Screams in all the flaws I can't ignore*

But I do love the new looks. I gotta come up with more suitable looks based on his alt Fighterz skins ...

Uhm, but LORE TIME:

Yōji is still has his tragic backstory of watching his family murdered and is out there get revegences.

The major revision here is that while he was an orphan, he did end up with a decent family that instilled him with morals (I'ma just slide this currently incomplete fic in right here, Vanguardian on AO3 ) so he's just trying to get his hands on Vegeta… so there some moral conflict about taking him out since he's got kids… but not enough to dissuade him still.

And rather than Yōji being the one to build his own criminal empire from the ground up, he's just very effective at smooth talking and schmoozing his way to take things over in one fell swoop. Like a parasite. Well he watched his family's meger estate be viciously dismantled once it was just him, a little kid. He's a fast learner you know. Helps to have hyperthymesia

I was looking for a way to explain how he could keep up with everyone given his altered backstory, weonlyneedonepersontobecalledperfect i figured being able to remember everything would suit my needs. Jack of all trades master of none? How about just jack of all trades with incompetent lackeys to fuck up your plans….

Because of course he can't do everything himself and has had to come to rely on others -which he despises. He installs willing puppets wherever he goes, to get whatever he needs (or wants) and he knows how to get things done, though it's often a bit messy since he's impatient. So flies on the walls of important people? Yeah that sounds about right.

And to revise how he came to meet Cooler-

Well Yōji was looking into Capsule Crop for information about Vegeta and the company's many rivals (I'm assuming that RR Army and of course the Real estate Lizards are the main/only ones soooooo), and part of that investigation meant planting spies and possibly breaking into a good newspaper company to get more leads.

All of it yields useful stuff for the revengeance seeking Tusfruain… and the attention of a lot of people. Not directly of course, but everyone knows that someone is up to something and starts looking into it. Helps that he's unconcerned with changing his appearance to avoid attention. The only problem is is someone caught a fussy picture of him (prolyBuuifwerebeinghonest), and while it's not enough to link to anything just yet, Hercule directs to defamation to Yōji's Blackstar and Business persona and so a target's painted on his back.

Though luckily Yōji doesn't mind tweaking his appearance and it's uncannily easy to walk around disguised as Vegeta.

And while Yōji was out and about parading as Vegeta he's spotted by my favorite squad and is followed back to one of his many "legitimate" business. A "club" is a very loose term that he's unafraid to stretch the meaning of as far as he can legally take it. Honestly though while he's completely heartless in GT I'm gonna say he's actually decent to his regular employees, looks out for them and all that… though he still gonna scream and shout at Para Brothers when they fuck up

(You're always meaner towards your family than you are strangers. "Familiarity breeds contempt"). I mean he couldn't do anything without the cash flow, so there's not reason to not make sure everything covered.

Anyhow, while in the middle of washing out the temporary dye, our best boys break down the door of the office with they best boss in tow and Yōji responds to being cornered by four strong fighters in only the way you would expect from someone who got their finger caught in the cookie jar: lies through his bloody teeth to spin things around to his favor.

He's a parasite for a reason…

Somehow, and after getting the snot beat out of him by Cooler they come to a sort of agreement: Yōji's aligning himself with Cooler's family -though not publicly or in an overly obvious fashion because Yōji's trying to cause a serious scandal that doesn't to be traced back to them. And in return Yōji doesn't get beat up even more or have his "good name" immediately esposed and tied to all the city vices he's servicing.

And at some point along the way Yōji and Cooler go tit for tat back and forth for little favors (Yōji doesn't worry about getting caught gathering information through brute force or unusual methods for Cooler and in return Yōji gets property to buy through his shell companies), Which eventually turns into bigger ones that ultimately leave Yōji with enough dirt on Cooler that they're on equal footing again. AKA, Yōji used one of his shell companies to sponsor Cooler's band and the parasite loves to remind Cooler that he got outplayed in the long run.

Not that Yōji really asks for anything major. He just likes pissing off Cooler til he's mad enough to want to hurt him…

This is a dynamic… and I have no idea why I decided on this for any Coolbabe stuff I have… but it's what I got going for me. And I stand by my unhinged parasite and his endless faults.

I cannot accurately convey Yōji's height... but honestly that makes this so much better.

I've got a couple more ideas to doddle, but honestly I've got other things to get to... Including but not limited to making use of the Colgate twins in this AU.

Alright back to the void I go!

They both have something going on, like Fricell but more sophisticated. Since Frieza has Yamcha already, Cell moved on to a new victim Cold member to annoy. What is this ship name? Celler?

These guys have potential manhwa material.

New Perfect Cell uniform design???

It might take a while for the DBZ art style to come back to me after so long. But for now, let’s just enjoy a very ‘manhwa artstyle’ of my fav DBZhumans. My standard-ish art styles.

An idea had been floating around in my head since the day I made a drawing of the 3 different friezas.

I don't see much Cooler ART, so I thought, "since I've combined coolers from different "universes", how about we put them together?

(In a few days this post will be edited, the final ART is not 100% ready yet, I need to finish it on paper first😅)
