Hey there! I know this post in it’s realm of discussion must have turned up somewhere at some point along the years but I felt like it’s worth revisiting.

So we know as beings living in the Now that there are some changes in the way we perceive things since the Then. Me and an old friend were recently discussing about whether our social rules had become more constricting since Those times or more relaxed. We couldn’t come to a solid conclusion and let the thoughts trail off but it always sort of nagged me in the corner of my mind like an incessant voice so I was wondering if you fine folk on Tumblr could help me out!

What are your thoughts on things that used to be socially acceptable, recently become unacceptable? Or the other way around.

If we can find the loopholes in rules and regulations, why not in social constructs?

while im at it neopronoun opposition is weird to me as a swedish person.. the whole debate is so anglocentric that they assume every language landed on the same solution they did, to reuse a plural pronoun as a gender neutral one and then they think any other solution is absurd or unheard of. what do you mean you just made another pronoun up you cant do that!! etc

coz its like here in the 2014 the swedish academy accepted 3rd person pronoun "hen" (as opposed to hon/han) like officially into our word list after it gained some popularity in the 2010s. like that is a NEOPRONOUN that someone just Came Up With in like the 60s and then people just started using it and now its just a recognized part of our language. sure we could've also reused our plural pronoun "de/dem" as a gender neutral one but we just made up a new one instead. and to like imply that mainstream use of a neopronoun is just UNHEARD OF and that neopronouns is something the mainstream could NEVER GET USED TO EVER!!! is... your perspective is very limited to the english speaking world is all i can say

we literally have just a few days to act. the senate is debating about putting KOSA, the Kids Online Safety Act, into the omnibus spending bill. if it is added, it WILL pass. despite the title and content of the bill seeming to be about protecting kids, we know everytime someone claims they are "saving the children" they have more sinister goals

which is why Senator Blumenthal is working with one of the biggest transphobes in the senate, Marsha Blackburn, to force this bill through, and claiming they are listening to LGBT voices when they are blatantly ignoring us.

essentially this bill gives every state attorney generals the power to remove anything they deem 'harmful' to kids online. you can see how a state like Texas or Florida would run with that, yes? it also forces you to upload your government ID online to access the internet. the bill will create a 'commission' led by handpicked members of the govt to oversee what is and isn't allowed online. it will lead to mass censorship of anything related to race or LGBT content. in a post-Roe world too? say goodbye to any abortion/sex-related info.

they are doing a shit ton of PR for this, including claiming they are listening to LGBT voices. i mean just look.

two weeks ago, 90+ human rights, LGBT, and tech orgs signed onto an open letter telling Senators NOT to pass this bill. in response, over 230 orgs led by the American Psychological Association signed a letter urging senators to. it's really fucking bad. like i can't sleep because of this. i didn't expect this to happen. we really really need people to speak up.

KOSA gives state attorney generals full power to sue any website if they see it has anything that is “inappropriate for children”'. For the past year, Republicans claimed everything LGBT is “grooming” children and we ended up with a shooting in Colorado and bomb threats sent to hospitals, NO senator should support a bill with vague phrasing like this. Before that, they successful removed books on race due to "CRT". This gives them a pass to do this to the entire internet. KOSA will only lead to more harm towards minorities and LGBT youth across the nation by censoring everything online.

The Heritage Foundation said they will use KOSA to target LGBT kids, specifically trans kids. In a post-Roe world, they will even use KOSA to censor resources on abortion. Anything they dislike will be targeted.

A bill this huge and this impactful should not be added to any spending bill. Even if it was a small bill, it has nothing to do with the omnibus spending bill and shouldn't be added at ALL. It needs more time being discussed. There should be hearings on it as well

We all care about kids mental health. We all want to hold Big Tech accountable, but this is NOT it. This will give Big Tech more power while taking away resources from the most vulnerable children. It is not the solution.

Please, do NOT support this bill. Do the right thing, and VOTE NO on KOSA.

They got the restraining order and everything was all rainbows and sunshine.

Rhea walks into her room and raises an eyebrow as she watches y/n in their shared closet and throwing out clothes left and right.

“What the hell are you doing, love?” Rhea asks.

Her voice makes y/n jump and turn towards Rhea. “I think I left my favorite shoes at…his house.”

The short time that her ex was in jail, her and Rhea had went to her old home and had gathered up all her belongings. Unfortunately for y/n, she had forgotten a pair of shoes that rarely wears but it is important to her.

“I can buy you new ones.” Rhea frowns.

Y/n shakes her head, “Limited edition Dem, limiteddd…” she frowns.

Rhea raises an eyebrow, “Would you like it if I went instead to get them?”

Y/n’s eyes widened as she stares at Rhea, “Would you?”

Rhea looks at the house in front of her, recognizing it to be Y/n’s old home. She then looks back at the message that y/n had send.

It’s under the bed in the guest room

“Under the bed in the guest room.” Rhea repeats as she gets out and walks up towards the door. She stops in front of it and debates what she wants to do and how she wants to do it.

Knock on the door like a regular person and tell him who I am? Or be dramatic and let it be known just by a look?

Rhea looks at the key in her hand, “the latter.”

Rhea puts the key in the keyhole and enters the home without shame. She looks around and see boxes that are packed and it’s clear that her ex was moving.

“Who the hell…” the man in thought strolls over and pauses when he sees Rhea. His eyebrows furrow as he looks her up and down, “are you?”

Rhea takes a look at him up and down before she starts taking long strides towards him. As she gets closer to him, she realizes that he is way shorter than the last time she saw him. The ex notices the height difference and starts backing up slowly.

“Where’s the shoes.” Rhea demands. Seeing the boxes gave her the impression that it could be in one of them.

“What shoes…” he trails.

Rhea ignores him and starts walking upstairs and to the guest room that y/n had told her

the one that’s two doors away from the bathroom

She finds it almost immediately and walks in. She goes to the side of the bed and gets down, looking under and finding the shoes almost immediately.

“Get the hell out of my dam house.” The ex rushes in, “i’ll call the police on you damit.”

Rhea rolls her eyes and stands up with the shoes in her clutch. “This was never your house. This was y/n’s house.”

The ex finally realizes who Rhea is and chuckles shaking his head, “is she to pussy to face me or something? Afraid ima hit her? Hm?”

Rhea narrows her eyes, “Do not call her that.” She warns.

“Or what?” The ex raises an eyebrow, “whatever I did with her, i’ll do to you then turn right back to her and do 10x worse of what I did before.”

Rhea takes in a deep breath before walking towards him with a glare. “Say that again…”

The ex is smug as he watches her, “I said wha-,”

Rhea throws a punch at his face and watches him tumble back and on the ground with a grunt, holding his jaw. She grabs a handful of his shirt and pulls him closer to her, “She’s my girl now, got it? And if I ever see you around her and lay your filthy greasy fuck hands on her? I will come for you.” She gives him a deadly stare as he looks at her with wide eyes.

She shoves him away and walks away, the shoes dangling on her fingers as it never was set down even after the altercation.

While the claims made by Israel that employees of the relief agency were involved in Oct. 7th are troubling, THEY are not well supported, and western officials did not do their duty in investigating the claims before cutting funding. This arm of the UN is currently providing food, water, shelter, and medical care to the 2.3 million displaced peoples of Gaza. It is especially disturbing and concerning that the many children of Gaza, who are already suffering due to this conflict, are now having this support revoked. Many sources are also claiming that the evidence is flimsy at best.

UNICEF is reporting that children are dying of hunger in Gaza, as of today (2/21/24).

Urge both Senate and House to refrain from funding Israel, or to at least put some strings on it. The IDF cannot be given funding without some regulations on what they can do with it. They have proven that they are unwilling to take steps to protect civilians.

Sanctions must also be placed on Israel for its continued impediment of aid intended for Gazans, including aid from the US.

Urge for the US to stop vetoing ceasefire demands in the UN. No, the suggested replacement written by the US is not an excuse.

FOR THE SENATE: Urge your senator to put their support behind Bernie Sanders and his motion to restrict funding to Israel until a humanitarian review of the IDF’s actions in Gaza has been completed. Cite it as Senate Resolution 504 if your Senator is right-wing enough to react negatively to the mention of Sanders by name. NOTE: This resolution was TABLED by the Senate on 1/16, but it is being brought back in as conditions continue to escalate.

Passed in the House last week, so bother your senators about it, is H.R. 3016: IGO Anti-Boycott Act. Vote Nay. This appears to be intended to force US companies to do business with US allies instead of participating in boycotts. This appears, to me, to be an attack on movements like BDS. To Dem Reps, argue that this refuses the right of peaceful protest to US citizens. To Republican Reps, argue that this is a dangerous government overreach and that it is not the right of the government to force US citizens to purchase products and materials from specific foreign partners.

Not related to Gaza: It looks like they're gearing up for another push at KOSA. The canned email responses I'm getting are really proud of being FOR KOSA, which is... bad. VOTE NAY.

FOR THE HOUSE: Urge your representative to put their support behind Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s petition for the US government to recognize the IDF’s actions in Gaza as ethnic cleansing and forced displacement, and put a stop to it. ALTERNATELY: recommend that they support House Resolution 786, introduced by Rep. Cori Bush, Calling for an immediate deescalation and cease-fire in Israel and occupied Palestine.

If Trump wins 2024, he will halt all funding for Ukraine, negotiate an end to conflict with Putin, thus preventing WW3.

The reason Biden and the Deep State cannot negotiate with Putin, is because Putin wants their heads for crimes against humanity, namely for manufacturing C19.

This is not speculation on my part. Russian MIL literally listed Joe Biden, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama, and George Soros, as being the main ideologists behind the plot to manufacture coronavirus strains in Ukraine, with US DoD funding, and there is an open source paper trail to back it up. You can debate on whether or not you believe them, but the reality is, Putin wants the “Western Elites” and Xi agrees with him.

It’s not hyperbolic to say that this is life or death for the Deep State actors. If Trump wins and negotiates a settlement with Putin, Russian MIL have already been demanding for activation of Articles V and VI of the Biological Weapons Treaty, which would result in a Security Council investigation and international military tribunals. That’s what Russian MIL have been demanding at the UN for nearly 2 years now. And that’s just the biological stuff, not even accounting for the whole 2014 coup, shelling the Donbas, funding and supporting Ukraine in 2022, Nord Stream, etc.

What do you think Trump is going to say? No? Trump wants to prosecute the exact same people for crimes against humanity! Putin is literally demanding that all of Trump’s enemies trying to imprison him, must be prosecuted by military tribunal… How could Trump say no to that?! He’d be killing multiple birds with one stone. And Trump’s DOJ wouldn’t have to do the prosecuting. It would be a coalition of military judges from different countries around the world. It would be far more legitimate and no way could the Dems cry “partisanship”. It’s international law.

Y’all might think it’s crazy, but this is the trajectory we are headed on if Trump wins, which is why the Biden regime are going to do everything in their power to prevent Trump from winning. If they fail, they will be treated as international war criminals, and will face the ultimate penalty.

Let’s say Russia and China are lying, and the US did not manufacture C19.

Then why would Fauci, Collins, and the US government, put so much effort into covering up the lab origins?

Why are the US and their allies the only ones NOT interested in who caused a global pandemic?

Why did government health agencies and Big Tech censor scientists and journalists who pointed out its lab origins? If someone else created this virus, why are the US government so invested in covering up who is responsible? Over a million Americans died, shouldn’t they be tirelessly trying to find out who killed all those people?

Who benefited from the pandemic? American Pharmaceutical companies, that began the vaccine development BEFORE the pandemic. Who funds the MSM and Deep State politicians? Big Pharma.

If Russia and China are lying, why is it that the US veto every request at the UN Security Council for a joint investigation into the origins of C19?

There are two options. Elements within the US are responsible, or, a different entity is responsible and the US government went out of their way to cover it up.

The paper trail confirms it’s the former, but either way, heads must roll.
