Also, see?? Leo’s doing fine! It’s been a few years since the last post so he’s had plenty of time to set up all his unhealthy coping mechanisms.

Whew, I have to say this special is easily the most extensive thing I've done so far for Replica. This is the only time we'll probably see the Central Park Colony in its hay day so wanted to make the effort to show what I could. I love visual story telling, but hate doing backgrounds haha, it's a problem! I'll admit this is a lot messier than what I've been doing as of late but we're just going to have to deal since we have so much ground to cover. It might get messier, I make no promises. Next up, I think Casey and Raph need to have a talk.

I have been meaning to do a crossover with the one and only @kathaynesart for such a long time! And the @tmntaucompetition has created the perfect excuse for this :)

In another of "those talks" between Woofer and Whimper

WHIMPER, slightly myopic: Is it just me, Woofer, or have I been one to notice something suspicious in one of the gift shops advertising "designer replica handbags" at notoriously cheap prices?

WOOFER: It appears you may have a point, Whimper, in noticing what you noticed just now--as in Trademark Knockoff Merchandise which seeks to dilute recognised trademarks that, to their owners, are worth considerable monies as much as their name and reputations! And quite often, Whimper, the cheap price may belie the fact of such likely being made by cheap labour in abysmal conditions for rather poor wages, to begin with!

WHIMPER: Not to mention where, in the case of Chinese goods, such could likely be made in forced-labour camps--and besides, isn't it true that goods made by forced or convict labour aren't supposed to enter the American marketplace?

WOOFER: I think you're right there, Whimper, even if it may be difficult or impossible to locate the exact facilities used for their manufacture, let alone as much the "MADE IN CHINA" label and the cheap trademarks, some of which are likely made of plastic or other cheap materials as breaks off easily after awhile! And it's likely as well that the brands in question may have been deliberately misspelled!

WHIMPER: You can't help but notice such nuances, anyway!

WOOFER: Even if it's more for the sake of cheap vanity back in Podunk Center, Iowa!

Point #1: The first thing we learn about Emet-Selch, even before we learn that Solus zos Galvus is Emet-Selch, is that Solus loved theatre.

Point #2: Emet-Selch plays the villain with mannerisms so over-the-top you'd think he's about to burst into a disney villain-style song and dance number at almost any moment.

Point #3: He's self-aware enough to recognize that he is a villain in your story but a hero to his own people, and that whoever wins the battle will write history to declare the loser the villain.

Point #4: The Tempest, the zone where Amaurot is located, is named for the Shakespeare play of the same name, with other landmarks named after characters from the play. The BGM "Full Fathom Five" is also named for an iconic line.

Point #5: Amaurot feels so empty because it is, in essence, a set for a stage play. After the play is preformed it has no purpose.

Back to Point #1: Emet-Selch really loved theatre.

colorful cats nonrep redesign -- some info under the cut

i finally pulled together my two-year-old colorful designs--and filled in the rest of the cast--so i can finally share!

it's a bit underbaked: i don't have a setting in mind, other than perhaps a colorfully painted junkyard, but color in general would be very, very prominent in the show--with grizabella having lost all her color except for her one final pink heart, and macavity's fight sequence ideally being illuminated only by a set of sodium lamps--causing the entire stage to appear monochromatic--taking color away from all the other cats until mister mistoffelees returns it in his number.

overall the main point was to introduce bright or unnatural colors to all the cats; I really liked how mexico '18 included a bit of pink and a few bright colors in their designs, so I wanted to go a lot further with that, and use the london costume style

later on i would like to expand on the designs since i obv used the same silhouette for everyone when there SHOULD be some variation in the wig shapes and shoulder-fluffies placement, etc, but i definitely didn't have the time or energy for that this time around lol

note: the 'chorus' cats are all my pre-existing ocs except for tabbyswing!

Hyundai Pony Coupé Concept Recreation, 2023. Italdesign were responsible for the original Hyundai Pony, the Korean manufacturer's first model. In addition to the Pony saloon Giorgetto Giugiaro also designed a coupé which was revealed 50 years ago, in 1974. though there were plans to put the coupé into series production they never came to pass. Last year, ahead of the annual Concorso d’Eleganza Hyundai presented a recreation of Giugiaro's 1974 concept.

Language Before/After Kids

Sorry if the humor is a bit crass, but I've witnessed this phenomena so many times with friends who become parents that I could not help but wonder which extreme side of the line these boys fall on.

This is also a bit of a character dive. I kind of like the idea of Leo constantly censoring himself around Casey Junior, because it gives it even more oomph when he says "badass" in the beginning of the movie since it signals that he now views CJ as an adult who he respects, depends on, and can speak with frankly. No censoring needed.
