#zeno's art #i'm not sure if i should tag the show itself as i'm not a fan but i guess its “fan”art so i will #hazbin hotel #charlie hazbin hotel #vivziepop #i was bored and wanted to draw something #my main goal here was to create a design that looked distinct and could (potentially) be moderately easy to animate #of course based on charlie's character i added as many angel images as possible through the hair and bowtie #(i know white on white is a character design sin but i wanted to show the angel wing detail ;w;) #also to express the personality and juxtaposition of a sweet devil her horns are supposed to curve into a heart shape #of course the garterbelts are upside-down/st peters crosses because of her satanic themes #i also tried to go harder into the goat theme but its still subtle i think #i actually think the goat theme is really interesting because of the story of the sheep and the goats in the bible #but i cant remember if it was actually something intended in her original design #i'm not going to draw anyone else so dont even anticipate that #this was basically a cooldown? ok i think i'm rambling now #goodbye #ok edit to say it clearly: i am not a fan of vivziepop or her work. i just wanted to redesign charlie as a cooldown/exercise for fun #because i used to be a fan of the character before i wised up about what vivzie had and has done #and before i matured and noticed the cracks and fundamental flaws in her works #so yea i dont support her at all and this redesign is critical i guess #also the reason why the tag “vivziepop” is there in the first place is so that anyone who has that tag silenced can scroll past #without seeing anything related to her work. in case that clears anything up #its the same reason why i tag “long post” and “food” and the like

#devil may cry 5 #dmc5 #dmc v #so I’ve replayed dmc5 a stupid amount of times since March #but to be fair it’s a very short game #but I’ve developed a hobby of trying to connect dots between v and Vergil #cuz the detail is actually so good #for instance even how he holds the cane is similar to how he handles Yamato #his expressions are so alike but it’s not obvious #but then I thought #why is vergil’s humanity some dweeb who is like 20 something #he is like closest age wise to his dmc3 version #(this has probably been answered but I wanted to figure it out myself) #then I remembered the line from v about how his humanity has finally returned #so has it been subdued and dormant ever since he got imprisoned by mundus #and is that why his humanity resembles his younger self #cuz the human vulnerable side of him has been dead #this is the only edition of Vergil I won’t drop kick on sight #human v is a dork ass goth who has a soft squishy heart #and he can’t even kill his brother who he hates so much when given the chance #UUUGGHHHHHHHHHH #don’t even get me started about the ordeal with Nero #v tried so hard to just see him as a tool but he knows that wasn’t the case

Some lore for these babies from my comicverse:

Stove bunnies (or braskaniner in Swedish) used to be a massively popular pet back in the day in the Devil in the Details universe due to them being friendly to humans and being able to control their flames, so they would be great to cuddle for warmth in the colder seasons. On top of that, they quite enjoy living in people's wood burning stoves, which was a huge help for heating and cooking.

If you want to take care of a stove bunny however, just don't mistreat them or the people they love. If they get angry, they can and will burn your house down. For safety, if you see one of these little guys start turning blue: Run! That means they're incredibly angry. (But this is thankfully extremely rare.)

With that said, there's another fact about them that perhaps is a bit counterintuitive, which is that they also are excellent guards against accidental fires. You see, they enjoy consuming flammable things because it strengthens their own internal energy - and for that reason they're also happy to consume actual fire.

Nowadays, with magic being an every day tool for humans, as well as times changing, the practicality of having this cute fiery rabbit around has greatly diminished. But people still love having them around as pets and familiars.

honestly of all the design choices they made for Raphael, the stupid little jingle boots just beat absolutely everything. there's the devil, big, bad, with giant wings and power-hungry plans. he's torturing people in his dungeon. and he's got boots. with little bows on it. and tiny bells. he tries to elegantly approach you with a poem to lure you into selling your soul but you just hear him slowly jingling in from the distance
