Ozznic or ozzgender is a xenogender and concept that refers to feeling comfort, nostalgia, mental relaxation, inspiration to create art while listening, headbang with joy and euphoria, warmth and feeling supported, understood by the lyrics that help you raise your low mood or feel relatable song related to those sad feelings of neurodivergence (depression related), being yourself around the music of Ozzy Osbourne (include Black Sabbath era), related to aesthetics such as; round glasses, elegant, baggy 70's-80's clothes, necklaces or accesories with crosses, gothic architecture, "dark academia", dark colours, yellows, white, purples and reds are part of your clothing, obviously love metal in all their forms, the hippie era draws your attention, and sometimes feeling melancholic with doom metal, feel identified with him in some way because of a special interest (adh/autism), also you like spaces/places like the ones in his videos and spiritual themes.
flag one: first color bar inspired by the blue/green aqua from the paranoid album, second bar master of reality, third sabbath bloody sabbath and sabotage, yellow and black grey diary of a madman, bat for the incident at des moines veterans memorial auditorium in 1982, is also a representation of him.
flag two: first color bar is the colour of master of reality black sabbath album and the logo, second colour bar orange is from the ultimate sin ozzy album, third colour bar is from down to earth ozzy album, the cross is a representation of his persona where his musical character always wears it.
flag three: first and secound color bar are the colours of no rest for the wicked ozzy album, third color ozzmosis, the fourth color is for the album blizzard of ozz, and the last one represents all the yellows of his logo and his cross, I wanted to draw the glasses a little trippy to give it that drugg3d look of the 60-70's drawings.

Summon These Days revisited
It has been a long time since I revisited this era of fabric, heady 2017—it was a heavy time.... like a preview of pandemic shut down, but real coffee persisted. We persisted. This song, made with my good (separated by strait and navy) Boracai friends Julie and I forgot their name, captures a time (+ gives Jim Jarmusch a run for his money). Also editing Ike's work on the civilized side taught me something about the male gaze. Diary of a madman who somehow thrives. Can you guess about what? It's actually three songs that I'd like to rerecord with a crack team of session aces.

#STORM IN A TEACUP LU XUN HOW TO#
The surname " Lu (魯)" in Zhou Shuren's pen name, "Lu Xun", was the same as his mother's surname, "Lu".
#STORM IN A TEACUP LU XUN HOW TO#
Because formal education was not considered socially appropriate for girls, she had not received any education, but she still taught herself how to read and write. Zhou's mother was a member of the same landed gentry class as Lu Xun's father, from a slightly smaller town in the countryside (Anqiaotou, Zhejiang a part of Tongxiang City). His paternal grandfather, Zhou Fuqing, was appointed to the Imperial Hanlin Academy in Beijing: the highest position possible for aspiring civil servants at that time. īy the time Lu Xun was born, the Zhou family had been prosperous for centuries, and had become wealthy through landowning, pawnbroking, and by having several family members promoted to government positions. The name by which he is best known internationally, "Lu Xun", was a literary pseudonym that he chose when his story "Diary of a Madman" was first published in 1918. In 1898, before he went to the Jiangnan Naval Academy, he took the given name "Shuren" ( Chinese: 樹人 pinyin: Shùrén)-which means, figuratively, "to be an educated man". His courtesy name was "Yushan" ( Chinese: 豫山 pinyin: Yùshān), but he later changed that to "Yucai" ( Chinese: 豫才 pinyin: Yùcái). His birth name was "Zhou Zhangshou" ( Chinese: 周樟壽 pinyin: Zhōu Zhāngshòu). As was common in premodern China, Lu Xun had many names. Though sympathetic to socialist ideals, Lu Xun never joined the Communist Party of China.Ĭhildhood residence of Lu Xun in Shaoxing He was highly acclaimed by the Chinese government after 1949, when the People's Republic of China was founded, and Mao Zedong himself was a life-long admirer of Lu Xun's writing. Like many leaders of the May Fourth Movement, he was primarily a leftist. After returning to China, Lu worked for several years teaching at local secondary schools and colleges before finally finding a job at the Republic of China Ministry of Education.Īfter the 1919 May Fourth Movement, Lu Xun's writing began to exert a substantial influence on Chinese literature and popular culture. He became interested in studying literature but was eventually forced to return to China because of his family's lack of funds. Upon graduation, Lu went to medical school in Japan but later dropped out. Lu aspired to take the imperial examinations, but due to his family's relative poverty he was forced to attend government-funded schools teaching " Western education". Lu Xun was born into a family of landlords and government officials in Shaoxing, Zhejiang the family's financial resources declined over the course of his youth. In the 1930s, he became the titular head of the League of Left-Wing Writers in Shanghai during republican era China (1912-1949). Writing in vernacular Chinese and classical Chinese, he was a short story writer, editor, translator, literary critic, essayist, poet, and designer. He was a leading figure of modern Chinese literature. Zhou Shuren (25 September 1881 – 19 October 1936), better known by his pen name Lu Xun (or Lu Sun, Chinese: 鲁迅 pinyin: Lǔxùn Wade–Giles: Lu Hsün), was a Chinese writer, essayist, poet, and literary critic. Criticism of traditional Chinese Confucian society, values and thought

Awhile back I translated the beginning of Diary of a Madman by Lu Xun (the 20th century author, not the Chinese Three Kingdoms era strategist) because I need to practice, it's a short story I first read in English a few years ago and enjoyed so I already know the gist of it, but in the first section I kept running into weird phrasings and stuff. Thankfully the app I use to look up characters (Pleco, highly recommended) is very comprehensive and it was like 'lol it's classical Chinese, what do you expect' like ohhh yeah... That.
I wanted to take classes on that in college, but I was running out of credits and had to focus on other things so I could graduate without getting into debt. I could've had more credits left over for more Chinese classes, but I got barely any guidance in how to best choose the classes I wanted and needed to graduate in college, so I ended up take multiple classes that didn't help me towards graduation when I could've taken more Chinese instead. They also wouldn't have helped me after the first two years of Chinese courses, or at least they would've only counted as electives, but I still would go back and take them instead if I could.
And of course I didn't take Chinese earlier despite wanting to because my mother told me to 'wait until I was settled into college' and 'to think about it because it'll be hard and I should just keep taking more Spanish instead', and unfortunately at the time I hadn't figured out she usually doesn't know what she's talking about and I tend to end up regretting taking her advice. I love the American collegiate system and also how parents are treated as always knowing what's best for their children :^)
Gee, what was this about again? Oh yeah, anyway only the first section of the story is written in classical Chinese, the rest is vernacular, so I guess I kinda lucked out.

Hi. I rarely ask questions like that, but I don't have any cool rock friend to talk to. Anyways I wanna know your opinion on the 'war' that began in early 80s about thrash metal and glam metal(It was also called 'The Big Four vs The Big Hair' lol) I heard people talking about it but Im quite confused. In general the problem was when some of these bands tried to pass themselves off as 'metal.' That is, trying to pretend they were something they were not. Bon Jovi was labeled as 'metal' but they had more in common with Garth Brooks, musically speaking, than they did with Iron Maiden or Metallica. I think if some of these bands had just labeled themselves as what they were- mainstream rock n roll, instead of trying to pass themselves off as metal. And just adding here that some boys from Megadeth wore shirts of Nikki Sixx with title 'no posers'. Wtf??
hey thanks for messaging!
Ya I mean I feel like this is always sorta of complicated because it really just depends I feel on the albums. I feel like a lot of bands with their albums went through different eras. For example, KISS with their 1982 album creatures of the Night, and even 1983 Lick it Up, I would label that more as metal (definitely Creatures) however some of their later stuff like Crazy Nights seems more pop/glam metal-esque. This goes for the 70's album too. Comparing something like Love Gun, or Hotter than Hell to Dynasty, or Destroyer (which was actually seen as more of a poppier album to fans at the time) The same goes for Ozzy Osbourne. Albums like Diary of a Madman, Blizzard of Oz, and No Rest for the Wicked would definitely fit a lot more into heavy metal while albums like The Ultimate Sin and honestly even Bark at the Moon would definitely fit more like a glam metal album. So for me, I really don't think you can define a band by just one genre. Now obv a band probably wouldn't make the leap from glam metal to country, however, I feel like it is the sound that can change a band between metal, and classic rock.
OOOOHHH YES! I remember those Nikki shirts. I mean I don't know the story, but I think that Motley Crue at the time was seen as being like Heavy Metal or something (which they are definitely not, I would classify them into glam metal a lot more) and I guess since Megadeth truly was a metal/ thrash metal band if guess it was just a big WTF. LOL.
I didn't actually really know about the war between the two tho, so thank you!
And I honestly, I really enjoyed being able to discuss this! It makes me mad when these bands are labelled as a genre which they are quite honestly, very far from!
Feel free if you have any more questions if you liked this, I enjoy being able to have the conversations with you all!
Thank you!

Hmm. I think I am going to read the latest chapters of the two weird extremely long My Little Pony fanfics that I read for the full duration of my high school career. As an exercise.
They’re still updating! I’ve been out of that part of the web for over five years now, so I have no idea what’s going on in there.
Man of War is up to 1.2M words, and is only in the third of five acts (although updates have slowed down dramatically, in 2012-2014 that thing was updating 1-3 times a month with 4k+ word chapters.)
Diaries of a Madman is up to 3 Million Words, and is still updating with a 15k+ word chapter every 1-2 months. No idea if it’s nearing completion.
(These two fics were first published in early 2012 and they share a lot of similarities, like, a LOT of similarities, and I’m sure that if I spent some time I could find the 2011-era protofic they’re derived from.)
I have thoughts about the things to be learned from watching a large group of people effectively reinvent an entire subculture with limited but not no outside influence from the original culture but I will have to think about that for a while. This entire activity is inspired by watching the whole Harry Potter shifting drama, which in practice appears to just be self-insert fanfiction with a convoluted framing and loose fanon shared as uh, a vodfic? Video podfic? What's the classification for this format. I don't have a tiktok account.

"A hundred years ago, something happened that would change the fate of humanity forever. Some say it was a biological weapon, others claim a parasite evolved. Most don’t care.
Whatever truths are hidden behind a century of distrust, fear, lies, war and death, everyone agrees about one thing: it is airborne and it’s attacking humans.
Every day, our numbers dwindle.
There is no hope left to save our species, only a chance to survive until tomorrow.”
In Era: Survival, you play as humans trying to survive the post-apocalyptic world of Gaia.
Humanity is facing extinction. There's no cure for the parasite known as Infection: no-one expects that our species will be around in another 100 years. How do you choose to survive?
Tumblr media
Are you going to become a Raider, preying on the weak to survive, allowing your weapons to do the talking?
Will you use your cunning to chase rumours of a Vault, armed with a light and a palmtop computer, hoping to uncover treasures left from before the Cataclysm, which will make you wealthy beyond your wildest dreams?
Or perhaps you'll take the jobs one of the more powerful factions offers, hoping to work your way up and gain a reward that way?
The choice is yours...
Tumblr media
The people of Gaia have fundamentally different views, which have led Humanity to splinter into numerous factions. These factions have complicated interactions, some working in near-alliances and others being ready to shoot on sight! Each faction also has its own view on how to survive extinction: while some search for a cure or isolate themselves far from the main centres of population, others seek to harness the power of the Mutants to gain power, or believe that Infection is the best course for Humanity.
With the Infected overrunning more towns every day, it's becoming increasingly dangerous out there...

Era d10 is a system that focuses on narrative-driven gaming, with Skills and Attributes that can be combined in any configuration to support player and GM storytelling.
Combat is fast and deadly, with a Kill Threshold providing a lethality to weapons, supporting a straightforward and intuitive system.
Tumblr media
If you want to see the basics of the rules, download our free Era d10 Fundamentals booklet here for the ultimate introduction to the Era d10 Rule Set!
Using an Attribute and Skill system, which each define their own areas of influence, you roll your dice depending on what you're attempting - whether Dexterity + Engineering for a precision piece of work, Intelligence + Engineering for a more theoretical problem or Luck + Engineering for a complete long shot, you'll be able to adapt to your circumstances and not just focus on your strengths.
Although you roll more dice the more skilled you are, the number you are attempting to reach varies depending on the difficulty of the action - if shooting someone in clear conditions, the GM would ask for a 7. If someone was laying a mine, more likely a 6. Firing over your shoulder at someone 30 metres away, while crouching behind a low wall would definitely be a 10!

Grim History
Diary Of a Rich Madman: Jacques Lebaudy, Emperor Of the Sahara
In 1903s, the French millionaire Jacques Lebaudy renamed himself Jacques the First and declared himself Emperor Of the Sahara. At the age of forty, he was rich, by the standards of his day, after inheriting money from his deceased father who had made his fortune running a sugar factory in their home country. Lebaudy was a short man with a taste for expensive odd clothes and, some would say, an annoyingly high-pitched voice that resonated like nails on a chalkboard. Apparently the age of forty was the big turning point in his life when he decided to translate what he believed to be his destiny into reality. But was he insane?
At first, no one seemed to think so. Lebaudy, using his vast sums of wealth, bought a yacht for himself and two others to follow, filled with 400 men, a battery of high powered guns, and the American Civil War hero George Edouard Gouraud who would act as his Governor-General during the venture. The yachts landed at Les Minquies island off the coast of Morocco. Jacques Lebaudy had his men carry a throne to his recently built pavilion and announced his intention to claim the Sahara as part of the Empire of Patagonia for the French colonial government. The French crown, however, refused to accept him as Emperor. Lebaudy, nonetheless, continued to make plans for his conquest, no doubt believing the colonialists would soon see the error of their ways and come around to his point of view. While Lebaudy sat on his throne, some of the local Arab population hatched a plan to make money off the faux-dignitary; they kidnapped several of his men and demanded a ransom. Lebaudy refused to pay them and tried to coax his followers to ambush the kidnappers and bring the men back. By this time, his subjects had started to think he was a kook; many of them abandoned the Emperor. Some returned to France and petitioned the authorities for help. Soon a fleet of French naval vessels showed up and began bombarding the island shores with artillery. The Arab kidnappers got scared and released the prisoners.
Jacques Lebaudy, Jacques the First, Emperor Of the Sahara had become an embarrassment to the French government. They went to Les Minquies, captured him, revoked his French citizenship, and deported him. Lebaudy soon showed up in London, using his wealth to establish residency in the plush Savoy Hotel.
Jacques Lebaudy had quite an interesting time at the Savoy. When entering the dining room in the purple robes of an emperor, the hired musicians would cease whatever piece they were playing and launch into the national anthem of the Empire Of the Sahara which he had commissioned a local composer to write in his honor. Lebaudy always sat at his own private table with wife and daughter, the table being draped with a royal purple tablecloth; a crown of chrysanthemum hung from the ceiling overhead. Word got out that an emperor had arrived in London and a cadre of journalists, photographers, celebrities, and other schmoozers began to hang around. Several hundred visitors stopped by; laborers, weapons dealers, merchants, farmers and others all sought favor from Lebaudy, hoping to land a job. Some of them were hired and immediately put on salary. Jacques the First spoke of elaborate plans to cover the entire Sahara desert with his newly designed flag as soon as he conquered the vast territory spreading across the African continent. At dusk there was to be a church ceremony and the greatest fireworks display the world had ever seen. January 1, 1904 was set to be the date in which the new empire was to be officially declared. That day came and went. Nothing happened. The emperor’s throne remained empty on the island of Les Minquies, awaiting the return of Jacques Lebaudy.
His family felt humiliated by his delusions of grandeur. They quietly shipped him away to America to live in a Long Island mansion where he would pace the halls and grounds in his uniform, covered in thick rows of medals and military insignia.
Then something started to irritate the old nut. The age of automobiles had arrived and a woman who lived nearby had taken to cruising the roads at 15 or 20 miles per hour in her newly bough car. The sound of the motor drove Lebaudy crazy and what could possibly have been America’s first conflict over noise pollution resulted in him paying his workers to put bales of hay and tree trunks across the road to prevent any further traffic. The lady driver called the sheriff who showed up on horseback. Then Jacques Lebaudy emerged, himself on horseback and clad in full royal regalia, from the surrounding forest. He claimed responsibility for the mess and the sheriff commanded him to clear it up. Lebaudy refused and tore off across a meadow on his horse. The sheriff summoned more police. After seeing Lebaudy at a distance, they chased after him and a pursuit involving pistol shots began. Jacques Lebaudy’s horse eventually showed signs of exhaustion and fatigue then finally refused to run any more. Lebaudy dismounted and surrendered. The police beat him up and hauled him off to jail.
Jacques Lebaudy’s wife pleaded with the police to release him on the ground of his eccentric and erratic behavior being symptoms of mental illness. They agreed and took him to the nearby Knickerbocker sanitarium. They put him in a special wing of the psychiatric ward which was reserved for the highest political functionaries; it is rumored that the Emperor Of the Sahara had an easy time making friends with the King of China and the Queen of Africa.
But a goof emperor can not be kept down for long. The quick-witted Lebaudy one day pretended to be asleep; his guardians stopped paying attention to him and he got up and jumped out the window. He ran all the way home. Nobody pursed him and nothing else was heard from him until one day the police were called Jacques Lebaudy was found dead with several gunshot wounds. As the story goes, upon his retirn hom, Lebaudy spent several weeks trying to seduce his daughter. She continuously refused his advances until one day he physically assaulted her and tried to rape her. His wife then pulled out her gun and shot him dead.
So was Jacques Lebaudy, Emperor Of the Sahara insane? Probably but then again, the French colonial era produced a lot of adventurers who sought to conquer foreign lands, often with a head full  of bizarre fantasies about what life outside Europe was like. Turn-of-the-century England also had its share of eccentrics and an emperor living the Savoy Hotel probably attracted a great deal of attention but in the end, he probably seemed like just one more weird man in a society full of weird men. And America certainly attracted its share of strange characters. Maybe Lebaudy was little more than a trust-find baby who had lived a sheltered life in an aristocratic chateau. Maybe he read too many books and never spent enough time around other people. Maybe the other family members he knew were just as eccentric as him. Maybe  he had too much money and too little common sense. Maybe, at the age of 40, Jacques Lebaudy started having an unusually bizarre mid-life crisis. In any case, there were certainly enough people who were blinded enough by his money to overlook his oddness and believe in his grandiose fantasies. Maybe they were the ones who were crazy.

20, 21, 23, 27, and 38! :)
20. favorite music video?
fun fact: i didnt watch 90% of metallica music videos. It just didn't happened, i am of the school of 'when i'll feel like it, i'll feel like it' and it hasn't happened yet. Like, I haven't seen the UN1 or UN2 vids, or the infamous Until it sleeps one! just gifs.
but! For what I've seen, my fave is Halo on Fire bc i really digged the twist and i loved the somewhat carefree ending?
special mention: Here comes revenge vid, i LOVED the animation and the creepyness!
(yes, as you guessed, i saw all the HTSD ones when they came out in 2016 fjksdhfkds)
21. favorite era looks-wise? It can be more than one era if you like a specific member's look in a certain era
i, a fashion guru that outshines even kirk's sparkly shoes, will admit that I've no fucking idea fjdfsdkj but!!! I've gotta say: 95
you can never go wrong with 95. Idk what happened in those 12 months.
23. favorite hairstyle one of the guys pulled off?
The Newsted? Iconique.
BUT I am also fond of buzzcut!Jase and 4braids!Rob.
(this band managed to acquire 3 different bassists with 3 different amazing type of hair????? what's with that?)
27. favorite Garage Inc. cover?
my basic bitch heart is scrambling to say Astronomy, and I do love the og version! So much, but the ending in the cover is-- peak. Ohhh that's one song that i would die to hear live.
And I also have to agree with mr. tru: the prince is 👌👌
(The truth is I am in a poly relationship with a lot of songs in this album fhjdsfhksdfs)
(ADD ON not requested: DIARY OF A MADMAN!!! PLEASE GUYS, TRY TO PLAY THAT AGAIN)
38. what social media post from one of the members lives rent free in your head?
Seeing that my head failed to create an argument in which Lars' babbles could be included in the definition, I gotta say that it's stark clear in my mind the post that Kirk put out the day they announced that James was going back to rehab. It was warm and caring.

I vaguely recall watching the Buddha of Suburbia when Hanif Kureishi’s debut novel was turned into a 4-part BBC drama in 1993. The vagueness is not due to its impact (which was considerable) or the mists of time, but the fact that I was in my second year of University, which was spent mainly undertaking the same exploratory journey into sex, God, politics, bongos and alcohol that the lead character Karim Amir does in the course of the book, and TV series. I can see why the subject matter was attractive to Bowie. This is a sort-of soundtrack album, in the ‘inspired by’ vein. In fact, only the title track was used in the series, and the LP quickly disappeared into the ether on release. The copy I own now is the 2017 reissue. According to Bowie’s liner notes it was written and recorded in “only 6 days…[but] took a full fifteen days to mix, owing…to some technical breakdowns.” Even for someone as prolific as Bowie, that’s pretty damn fast. He’s only just released Black Tie White Noise, so I can imagine his diary was quite full. Despite being a bit of a ‘forgotten’ album, it’s a really interesting one that bears some closer listening – one of his ‘transition’ ones, and one he describes himself as “one of the most enjoyable projects I’ve been involved with”. There are classic ‘songs’ such as the title track, which knowingly references his own music from the 1970s (where the book/series is set) – All the Madman and Space Oddity specifically, and the brilliant Strangers When We Meet, which he re-recorded and released on Outside. Other tracks like Bleed Like A Craze, Dad and Dead Against It employ his cut up lyrics technique. There are ambient soundscape instrumentals like The Mysteries and Untitled No 1 which harken back to the Low era, and then there’s South Horizon, a brilliant free jazz number which, to my ears, is a foretaste of the music created for Blackstar. Always artful, always experimenting, Bowie was even ahead of himself by 20 years. (Okay, I lied about the bongos, there was not a lot of bongo action in Leicester in the early ‘90s.) #davidbowie @davidbowie #buddhaofsurburbia #hanifkureishi #soundtrack #nowlistening #recordcollection #randomrecordreview https://www.instagram.com/p/CKY6zrlMWKk/?igshid=2jr8zl0llqtu

“...history”
So we've come out the other side. The Trump era has ended. What the founders feared had come to pass. There were any number of near calls in our history. However this one was the real deal. The republic nearly fell.
The safety measures those slaveholding founding gentlemen put in place stopped a madman installed by the mob. Even Franklyn went on at length about that specific danger. It speaks well for the system such as it is. That it took over 240 years for such a person to become our head of state.
We're Half a Millions fewer, but here we are. We mourn our dead. We'll repair the damage. We'll understand the ongoing dangers from the insurrectionists, and interests behind them. However we go on.
Our story was not ended by a hateful mob.
One that not only  invaded, and ransacked our sacred Capitol Building. 'But was intent on lynching the Vice President, and the Speaker of the House. But also murdering as many Congress-persons, and members of the Senate as they could find.
All at the direction of a rogue president.
They had intent to put on trial then execute every found elected official save those associated with them. All this recorded on their media. Texted or in their own spoken words.
This all came within minutes of happening.
I wish this was an alternate history plot, but it happened. A portion of their revered tome to genocide "The Tuner Diaries" nearly came to pass.
This is where we are.
This is what has to be addressed. What has to be healed.
The American Experiment continues.
