Walking Dead S/o who is blind.
A/n - If I offended or Did anything wrong Pm me privately I fix it. ❤
Tumblr media
Glenn Rhee - He never cared about physical appearance or Disability or not he loved you. Glenn knew and he worried about you going out and doing runs, and fighting the walkers but he knew you were good at fighting and taking care of yourself. "Baby?" Glenn hummed you turned around with a sigh walking close to make sure it was Glenn, holding his hands, of course, you wish you could see him but you couldn't help that you were born like this. "Why are you being such a worry bug" shifting your hand to touch his cheek smiling as he embraced you in his warmth. "Because I can't lose you, it not even because you're blind." "I know I know, but you don't have to worry okay," you kissed his lips grinning grabbing your knife that was at your bedside " now let's go we don't get all day." You laughed playfully.
Tumblr media
Daryl Dixon - Darryl knew how much of a badass you were he didn't need to even know if you could see or not he saw you kill walkers and knew what you were able to do. Still, Daryl didn't show his feelings and didn't explain so now you and Daryl we're not on speaking terms because this grease monkey said something stupid. "You know he didn't mean that Y/n," Tara said to you making you groaned as you picked up the wrong can as Tara grabbed the right one to help you out. "He could have fooled me" you hissed moving your fingers around the letters knowing this was the right Can. "Speak of the Devil" you turned your body "can we talk?" You nodded "fine." You say waving to Tara feeling the walls walk toward him. Daryl grabbed your hands and moved them to what felt like flowers, maybe two of them. "Don't get used to this but I found these" you knew that was his sorry have you smiled big walking over to him kissing him.
Tumblr media
Carl Grimes - Walking down Alexandria you knew around here you were trying to confess you're feeling to you're best friend Carl, but you didn't know how that turns out. All you're Insecurities came flowing out in you're head, wondering why would he want to date someone who was Blind would that be weird for him. Taking a deep breath you sat on the grass right in front of the River you're legs up in you're chest feeling the grass, and what was around you. "Hey Y/n" you turned your head hearing Carl you wanted to smile but your mind was occupied at the moment. "What's wrong?" He sat right next to you lucky you knew that was gonna already happen. Not even knowing what came flying out of your mouth " I like you! But I didn't want to tell you because I didn't know if you wanted to date, someone who was blind"! By the quietness, you knew his mouth was open taking a deep breath Rejection sucks. You were about to stand up when Carl grabbed your hand trusting your senses you felt him lean in and that when you're lips touch "Carl?" You asked making him laugh "you're such a dork you know that, of course, I like you.."
Tumblr media
Paul Monroe - laying with Paul you're head on his chest waking up from the night sleep you both gotten it was the morning and you didn't want to get up or even move, you felt so safe there. Seeing Paul moved as you move your hand to brush the hair out of his eyes, hoping you wouldn't poke his eye out in the process, hearing small laughter come from you're lovers mouth and then big arms wrapped around your waist to move you on top of him, he was awake this whole time? You laughed "you jerk you were awake this whole time" Paul nodded looking into you're eyes, you rolled your eyes "they're not pretty you know," you said talking about you're eyes they looked like storm clouds and gray storm which you hated. He leans up kissing you're cheek. "Well, I disagree".

I don't get it.
As a writer, a young one albeit, but a storyteller nonetheless, I don't get it.
I don't get the inconsistencies- weak, radioactive walkers can disable and disembowel an entire tiger- a tiger- but all carl gets is a relatively clean, surface bite?
Now listen here- I'm not saying my boy is alive. In fact, I'm quite stuck in the middle of that entire argument. But back to my point.
I don't get it. They've been hinting at some things for what, like, three seasons? And they haven't been explained. Excuse me gimple, but this isn't Sherlock and rick grimes is no Benedict cumberbatch (even though they both struggle with their accents on occasion).
There's no doubt in my mind that carl won't be immune. That's not this story. This isn't the last of us, alright? And a cure- that's off too. The walking dead (in the comics *eye roll*) is about survival, plain and simple. Now, they've decided to abandon the comics in this past episode so it seems, so sure maybe they'll go the extra mile and make him magically be okay if it is a walker bite and blah blah blah. But in terms of the comics, this is just odd. I mean that because, let's look at this, the show is still based on that orginin story. Maybe we can forgive some slips here and there and sure we're fine with the loose adaptations. And yeah maybe the comic storyline buildup lead to them completely abandoning the comics- but still, alas, what the hell? I don't want to believe it was out of greed. I don't want to believe it was because of chandler. I've met him- he seemed exhausted between school and working, and just being a teenager, but he was there and he was happy to be where he was.
It's sloppy. It's like when teachers tell you not to end with the main character waking up from a bad dream. It's lazy, even if we think it works and sounds cool. That's why i just can't believe they've done this.
If he lives because of the whisperer theory, then I strongly believe he got bit at a different time and they're trying to make us believe something. Who knows, maybe Lydia got too friendly. But it would be a semi-decent introduction to the group, but once again- haven't we been seeing them everywhere? Like, the guard off the tower evidence, the W's, whatever. It would exaggerate the whisperers odd way of living. But it would also be a reach.
Some say Gabriel will succeed and get the doctor back. Can we talk about Carl and Gabriels parallel story lines these past few episodes too? They're trying to help the group- trying to make the world better. Gabriel wants peace, and suddenly so does carl? They both even talk and get along somewhat with negan himself. They say the doctor will prevent the fever from killing him- since that's what it does, the fever kills (as Morgan said way back when) and then they come back. It's the disease that needs a dead brain to inhabit, so if his brain isn't dead... but still there'd be something wrong.
Overall, this is bad. A poorly written shock or a more in depth plot twist, I don't like how it was executed and I think most fans agree. You don't have to be invested to agree that something has felt off this season. Everything was forced. How'd rick get to the the other group? Why didn't he have backup? How did all the walkers get in the building and they still lived? Why did Daryl and Tara make such dumb decisions knowing they wanted to help their friends?
Until these questions are answered I'll consider them plot holes. Until carl is killed on camera and buried in the ground, he is alive.
Let me remind all those ignorant people complaining that it's just a story that humanity thrives on story's and language. That's why I love it- it is in our nature to share and get devoted to stories. We learn through stories, we understand through anecdotes. We get invested because we are those types of creatures. So stop complaining- something is very wrong here. I don't know what it is, but I feel it.

#31: The Speaking Up (7x1)
Now, when I say Michonne is the baddest chick in the game, I mean Michonne is the. baddest. chick. in. the. game! 👸🏾 There are only three people who can truly say they spoke directly to Negan during this lineup (not counting poor Abe 😥). And those three people are; The Grimes.
Rick spoke because Negan was trying his son and also to give us some classic Rick Grimes as he looks Negan in the eye and promises that, maybe not today or tomorrow, but he is going to kill him. And you know Rick keeps his promises.👌 🏽Carl spoke to serve some attitude when he told Negan he didn’t know what a southpaw was and the belt around his arm didn’t hurt. And Michonne spoke cuz she's the baddest chick in the game...And Carl's mother.
The moment when Negan has Carl and Rick facing the group and this lunatic still wasn't done messing with them. Still!? I remember yelling at my TV to end the episode cuz I couldn't believe there was more to experience. I was emotionally spent and yelling, "We get it!" And then my girl Michonne was like, "me too" cuz she told Negan that exact thing lol. She speaks out and tearfully pleads with Negan saying, "You don't have to do this. We understand. We understand." Now let's talk about this.
By this point, Negan has just; killed two of their family members with a bat covered in barbed wire, took her husband on a horrible RV trip, and now has returned to potentially disable her son, Carl. Negan was trying to send a message that he was nothing to play with...But neither is Michonne. Especially when you start coming for her boys.
It took a lot of guts to speak out. She saw what happened when others "acted out" and so it was risky to bring attention to herself and to say anything. But she's extremely strategic so she knew not to take the aggressive angle but rather the submissive angle.
The camera is on Negan when Michonne first speaks out and I know when I first heard her voice, and realized she was about to speak, I got super nervous. I was like, "Girl, shhh. Don't say anything. Negan might put two and two together and realize just who you are in relation to Rick and Carl." But then, the other half of me had an immense amount of respect that Michonne could be bold enough to speak up and try to diffuse the situation. Like that's huge that she spoke up in this dire situation.
Michonne is a fighter and protector and, even if she couldn't have physically taken Negan out in that moment, she was going to do whatever she could to help. Even if that meant playing along and letting Negan know that he's made his point. No amount of Negan's intimidation, or a gun to the head, would be enough to quiet Michonne's mommy mode. She had to try and protect Carl.
But also, something interesting that I noticed is that she speaks up once Negan starts talking about how he's going to kill everyone and then let Rick live a few years to just stew on the fact that everyone he loves is gone. I know that hearing that resonated with Michonne, because Michonne has been there.
She knows the extreme torture of a life where you just sit isolated and think about all the people you couldn't save. And so I feel like her heart especially broke to think that Rick could have to go through that. I feel like her speaking up was her trying to save Carl, as well as save Rick from a life that she knew all too well before these boys “brought her back.” And just the pain and the tears as she told him twice, “We understand”. I see why Negan bought her plea and thought she got it. It was hard to watch her be so emotional and hurt as the two people she loves most in this world were psychologically tortured. And remember, Rick and Michonne have that whole "you're okay, I'm okay" thing so with Rick being so absolutely not okay you know Michonne was a mess inside too.
Negan singling out Carl was when I’m pretty sure Michonne knew she had to speak out, like regardless of what could happen. And, because Michonne is human, I know she didn't speak out just cuz she's this fearless warrior, but because even in her fear of what could happen she had to try. She had to try and help, despite her fear, and that's real courage. She's the only woman to talk directly to Negan. Why? Read the first sentence of this post lol. And R&M felt so much like parents as each of them pleaded to protect Carl in this moment. I also notice that it is only when Rick is being forced to chop off Carl's arm that Michonne is no longer sitting up straight. Like she can no longer maintain an appearance of composure cuz she thinks she's about to lose her son and husband again, and this time be there to witness it. You can literally see the pain of her realizing she can't fight back in this moment. It's interesting that Negan looks at her and says "You understand" when Michonne tries to tell him "We undertsand". I was like “Negan, honey, she's saying “we” cuz they're one like that and so if she gets it, he gets it.” lol. But Negan thinks Michonne understands that he is now their ruler, which is funny cuz, as we'd see as the season progressed, Michonne is just a good actor. She had zero intention of bowing to Negan long-term. I feel like, even in this lineup, she knew that at some point Negan was going to understand what so many learned the hard way; Do not mess with Rick or Carl in front of Michonne. Then the scene that follows her pleading is super hard to watch. It's Rick being broken down so entirely, and in a way I honestly didn't even know he could be broken, as he decides (or really Carl decides for him) that Carl's arm might be more worth losing than the whole family. (Side note: Carl is a stone cold killer lol. As much as I sometimes feel like he's my reckless kid brother, no matter what, he's always going to be loved and OG, and in this scene he put the gangster in OG as he told his dad to "nike" and "just do it” Like the amount of strength and composure this boy had was pretty impressive.)
To see Rick just bawl and beg. I was emotionally spent already and then that just was too much. It was heartbreaking. But I know that Carl and Rick were not about to lose Michonne, so that arm had to go. Luckily Negan's maniac behind stopped the madness before Carl had to be both eye and armless.
While Negan did provide me with a life lesson in this episode, when he said, “Not making a decision is a big decision.” I still can't wait for Rick, or Michonne, or Carl, or Maggie, or whoever wants a piece of Negan to take that sucker out, cuz he has got to go. You don't get to take away our beloved Glenn (😭) and then live.
This whole epiosde was Negan’s attempt to break Rick and his family. But, as Michonne demonstrated by bravely speaking up, this is a family that loves each other fiercely and boldly, and so there's really not much Negan can do to truly break that.

HEADCANON 001 .        ANDRE’S DEATH AND MICHONNE’S DEVELOPMENT .
The Michonne we see on screen today would be entirely different if Andre had survived. The cold, closed off person that we first meet at the end of the second season is stemmed from that harsh new reality; that people aren’t going to survive, that you can’t protect your family and that loss is inevitable. We see this extremely independent woman who refuses to trust those who are trying to put her best interests first, she is almost like an expert at pushing people away and keeping very distanced in order to refrain from being attached. She carries around walkers that are disabled, that can’t maim her while she sleeps or bite or scratch; you watch her just walk so simply through the forest and you feel that weight that is hanging over her shoulders. I think it’s almost impossible to look at Michonne in the earlier seasons and not feel that undeniable sadness and depression that is hung over her, that she’s given up and just aimlessly wandering because she has nothing left.
Andre directly and indirectly influences the choices that she makes and the first one that we really see is the one where Michonne takes the baby supplies to the prison. She is a mother and you could imagine that fear and panic of a child possibly being accidentally abandoned or neglected in such a rough world; she didn’t know about the rest of the group, all she knew was that there were two people trying to get baby supplies back to their family and they’d been kidnapped before that could happen. Her motherly instincts kicked in and compelled her to pick them up and take them to the prison, to look after that child if she needed to or to just get those supplies there. It shows that she’s human and still functioning in there, that she has compassion and that somewhere in there she’s still alive. I think that the person we meet in the beginning is the result of the harshness of the apocalypse, I don’t believe that Michonne was such a cold, distant person her entire life.
Her attachment to Carl is so undeniable which why it is one of the most important relationships on this show. They have this unspoken understanding of one another’s pain. Carl lost his mother and not only did he have to witness her death, he had to put her down to ensure she wouldn’t reanimate. It’s never revealed how exactly Andre died, but Michonne had to witness that as well. The parallels between Michonne, Carl and Judith are heartbreaking which is why season four is so important, it really shows the impact the Grimes’ siblings have on her emotions. Rick Grimes also restores more of Michonne’s humanity and reveals more about how she survived on her own, how truly hard it must have been for her. She shared how she hallucinated about her dead child and boyfriend. It contributes to her trust issues, to her distance and quietness and assessments of every situation that she finds herself in. It’s like she does not trust her surroundings or the solidarity of them. Judith Grimes is probably someone who breaks and fills Michonne’s heart with joy all at the same time. I feel that when she looks at that little girl, she imagines Andre and the life that she could have had if he’d survived. Seeing Michonne cradle Judith and cry whilst holding her was a scene that I walked away from thinking, that was probably a time of mourning and a time of hope; that she was grieving the loss of her son but also realising that there was hope for a child in a world like this. That while Michonne’s family had a cruel and bitter end, that the world they now live in is full of tragedy, full of death and fear that there could be happiness even if it were small.
Andre’s death contributes to the person that Michonne becomes. It fuels her strength and influences her to become a stronger, better and happier person. Her son’s death broke Michonne down and essentially made her feel like she was the walking dead. The scene where she frees her captured walkers and begins to fight her way through the walkers around her symbolises breaking free, wanting to live and fight and no longer feel empty and dead on the inside. I think that it was almost like a rebirth. Andre’s death impacted Michonne negatively but also shows that she has the biggest capacity to love and care for other people, especially Judith and Carl.

Meet "TRICK GRIMES"
At first glance your heart might plummet to your stomach. You might think to yourself, "It can't be him, right? There's no way! IS THAT ANDY LINCOLN?! IS RICK GRIMES REAL?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?!' These are all thoughts I had when I saw Rick Grimes cosplayer Trent Roberts at Walker Stalker Nashville. Though I can assure you, after careful inspection, he is in fact NOT Rick Grimes. But he's pretty damn close. First, tell me a little background on you. What is your day job? How did you get into cosplaying as our favorite python wielding badass? [caption id="attachment_21760" align="alignright" width="225"] Roberts with his sons Josh and Zak[/caption] I live in the Dallas area but [am] originally from Louisiana. My "real" job is Regional Sales Manager for a Whiskey company so I stay very busy with a lot of travel. That's why I have to be selective on how many events I can do as a cosplayer. As for how this started, I have been a fan of the show since day one. From the age of about 20 or so I've always had a beard and longer hair. Every once in a while I would change up and shave but it wouldn't last long, so I've looked like Rick way before there was a Rick. Starting about season 3 I started having people notice and comment on my resemblance. Then early in 2016 my sons wanted to go to a comic con in Dallas and suggested I dress as Rick and they ended up regretting the suggestion. We started getting stopped for pics in the parking lot and once we entered we couldn't walk more than 10 feet at a time before getting stopped for another picture. It didn't help that my youngest son dressed as Carl. He quickly got tired of hearing "Ccooorrallll". This is where someone mentioned to me that I should go to a Walker Stalker Con. I had never heard of it but went home and looked at future dates. How many Walker Stalker conventions have you attended? [caption id="attachment_21763" align="alignleft" width="300"] Roberts in Trick Grimes mode[/caption] The first one was Dallas last year and then Atlanta last October. Nashville was my first working WSC. I did attend Dallas FanExpo twice and another smaller con or two in the Dallas area. Megacon the week before was my very first con to work. I will be attending A-kon this weekend but not cosplaying because I want my boys to be able to enjoy themselves even though they realize even in regular clothes I will probably still get stopped some. Oh and I forgot one of the most fun things I've done with this, the cruise. Do you have any memorable moments from this past weekend's convention in Nashville? Too many. Even though I am working some of these now I still have a hard time thinking of myself as a professional cosplayer. This is for fun and to give fans a great experience. I guess a couple of times this weekend we had fans with either physical or mental disabilities and to see their faces light up makes it all worthwhile. Also, it's funny how many of the fans that I have to actually convince I am not Andrew.  What's been the best part of attending WSC? The fans. I didn't realize how close knit a family this was. I have started seeing the same people now at multiple events and started forming friendships. I also have to say that through this I have had the pleasure to meet many of the stars of the show and they have all been incredibly nice. [caption id="attachment_21762" align="alignright" width="262"] Roberts with Michael Cudlitz, who played Abraham on The Walking Dead[/caption] Which ones did you meet and what was their reaction to you? Have you met the elusive Andy Lincoln yet? I've met Steven Yeun, Scott Wilson, Greg Nicotero, Michael Rooker, Michael Cudlitz, Chandler Riggs. In Nashville, Irone came up to me hugged me and complimented me on my resemblance as did Chad Coleman who I happened to run into in the restroom of all places. I was lucky enough to get to ask Andrew a question at his panel in Atlanta. Norman was on stage and saw me first and said to him "he looks just like you" and then Andrew asked if I could fill in for him at work on Monday. It was nice to get the acknowledgement. I have also met a couple of the saviors and they have said the resemblance is uncanny. Norman passed me on the walkway as we were boarding for the cruise and even he did a double take when he saw me then even in street clothes. Gave me a thumbs up. Kia and I were majorly creeping on you in Nashville because you look SO much like Rick. All the way down to the swagger. As someone who has met Andy in person, the swagger is an integral part to being Andy/Rick. Is the swagger learned or is that just you being you? I've had people say I even walk like him but that is just my normal walk. For most of my life I have worn cowboy boots almost daily, so I'm sure that is part of the natural walk. I'll admit though that once the jacket and gun belt go on it probably amplifies it a bit. So, be honest, is it weird when people stare you down (*ahem* kind of like we did?😳)? Sometimes. I'm still wrapping my head around all this. It is weird to me the way people act towards me and I'm not even the guy. I just look like the guy. The one thing I want to make very clear to everyone, I am not the celebrity here. Even when fans know I'm not him they get all emotional around me or are afraid to approach me. Please don't do that. I'm just a regular guy who happens to look like someone famous. That doesn't make me famous. I have been around enough cons now to see that there are too many professional cosplayers who think they are celebrities and have the attitude to go with it. That's not why I'm doing this. I enjoy cutting up and having fun with everyone and I hope that if nothing else people will know me as the fun, nice Rick cosplayer. How difficult was it to acquire the Rick Grimes wardrobe (including his famous murder coat)? [caption id="attachment_21759" align="alignleft" width="225"] Roberts showing off the infamous Murder Coat[/caption] I'm kind of a perfectionist about this. If I'm going to do it I have to be true to the character. There are a lot of Rick coat options out there but I wanted to make sure the collar was the right color and pocket zippers were at the right angle. I also had a few comments early on that my wardrobe was to new and clean so I took the jacket with me to my deer lease and drug it down the gravel roads behind my 4 wheeler. I also would freeze frame the show to see exactly where there were rips or fraying on his shirts and pants in order to duplicate as accurately as possible. The only other two significant expenses were the gun belt and Colt Python. I ordered the exact Tex Shoemaker holster that he uses in the show and again made sure I had all the accessories on the belt exactly as he does. The Python was a CO2 pistol that I modified the grip and replaced with actual Colt grips. It looks and feels just like the real thing now. The beat up boots, jeans and tshirt were obviously easy. Do you have a favorite wardrobe item? The gun belt. I grew up watching westerns and reading Louis Lamour books and always said I should have been born in the 1800's. When I put that on I just feel like the sheriff getting ready for a gun fight. Do you ever get stopped when you're out and about because people think you're Andy Lincoln? Everyday. Especially because I do spend a lot of time in airports due to my real job. It always happens when I'm walking through and out of the corner of my eye I see people sitting at gates tapping the person next to them and pointing at me. Or, I walk by a group and over my shoulder I hear " OMG that was.....". It was just funny to my friends and family but now it's kind of like, can we not go anywhere with you that someone doesn't come over. We were at Universal Orlando for spring break and my sons wanted pics with they people in the Bart and Homer Simpson costumes. Now I'm on vacation in shorts, flip flops, tshirt and sunglasses. When my boys were finished and we were about to walk away we hear Homer say "excuse me but can we get a picture with Rick". I've been to Senoia) about 3 times now and have had interactions with people there who have been face to face with Andrew, sometimes on a regular basis. They have approached me and started a conversation as if I'm him. I've had to stop them and identify myself. [caption id="attachment_21761" align="alignright" width="284"] Trent Roberts (left) side by side with Andrew Lincoln (right)[/caption] What do you love most about cosplaying as Rick Grimes? Having the opportunity to due some charitable work due to this resemblance is great. I have committed to due an event for a children's charity in Vancouver this October and hopefully this will open doors for more. Talking to fans and hearing that I may be the closest they ever get to meeting Rick is another motivation to make sure they have a memorable experience when they meet me.   Make sure to follow Trick Grimes on Facebook and Instagram.

He had been called here by Carol’s friend, a man named Rick Grimes. All Daryl knew about him was what Carol had relayed. Frankly, it wasn’t a lot to go on. "People say he’s weird, but he’s just lonely. He’s been through a lot, you know?" Daryl had nodded along, thinking that money’s money, and that he didn’t have anything against weird people. "He lost his hand last year, Daryl. He’s touchy on that subject, so you’ll be fine as long as you don’t pay too much attention to it."
Daryl meets Rick, a former cop, who's been injured in the line of duty. His initial task - a few home repairs - gets changed quickly when he discovers that what the man needs more than a good roof over his head is a friend. Who's better suited to this kind of task than Daryl the repairman? If he could only get through Rick's walls as easily as through his leaking roof...
