I could have drawn Dr Anna Ripley back when she appeared during the Briarwood arc. But I waited for the moment of the showdown.
Voiced by Matthew Mercer on @criticalrole and by Kelly Hu on The legend of Vox Machina.

Far fetched CR 1 to CR 3 crackedpot notion
Is Dancer... is Dancer a new persona for Dr Anna Ripley ? Could she have survived after the events of Glintshore?
Or could Dancer have been a student/apprentice to Ripley? Anna did say she sold off some designs to various people just to spite Percy.
And she had a similar "pact" to Orthax like how Percy did, if more evolved. Orthax didn't die persay. Aren't fiends (Orthax is a shadow demon) capable of natural resurrection as long as they are not killed on their native plane?
Things to consider crackedpottedly

I couldn’t put a finger on it but Dr. Anna Ripley reminds me a lot of Doctor Aphra.

Was thinking Dr Ripley sounded familiar and quickly saw why, she is voiced by Kelly Hu who previously played Karai from the 2012 tmnt series

Really wanted to draw her for longer time, but never had the right vibes for it. But today it changed after a very long roadtrip. DR.ANNA RIPLEY.. in full glory as dragon. Her right wing burnt in very nasty accident with fire and completely lost her right leg in same unfortunate situation. Creating fake arm thats smart enough tech to allow her bend the fingers and rely with weight on it.

The Mother of Invention - Chapter 2
This went up this morning, but I forgot to post it on Tumblr until now. See this post for the first chapter and all applicable warnings.
This is the one where we get into more canon vibes. The first chapter was a bit of a preamble - this is where things turn more *her* and less sad child.
Wake up. Get ready. Mind the floorboards. Leave the house before the sun comes up. You have a long walk ahead of you.
You don’t spend so much time in the library anymore, but you have found a new place to spend your days - school is, of course, swallowing up your time. When it started, you were happy. School meant structure, meant learning, meant friends.
Of course, you already knew what they were teaching you. And of course, you were bad at making friends.
So a few months into this process, you gave up on all of that. There’s a class of bigger kids, older than you but still not as smart, and your teachers always tell you that if you want to move into that class you can. You’re not convinced you actually can - mostly because you think you might get bullied and pushed around, and you get enough of that at home. You know enough about bigger kids to know that they can be bullies.
Still, you eventually get bored enough to take the offer and move classes.
Everyone praises how smart you are - they have since you started. All your teachers know you’re a genius, even if some of them think that’s annoying, some of them tell you to stop answering so much in class to give the other children a chance, some of them tell you to help other students with their work. It isn’t your problem if the other kids don’t raise their hands, or if they can’t do the work on their own. You’re not here to teach them - you’re here to learn. And even when nobody’s giving you anything to learn that you don’t already know, it’s still their job to teach the others, not yours.
Lots of people you don’t feel like you belong around ask you what your name is when you move classes. Anna, you tell them, my name is Anna. You are introduced to lots of other children, but you don’t try very hard to remember their names. They don’t try to make friends with you, because they think you’re weird, and you don’t try to make friends with them, because that’s their problem, not yours.
You still sing when you get the chance, but when your class gets asked what they want to do when they grow up and you say singer, your teacher tells you there’s so much more you can do with that brain of yours than sing. You could change the world with your brain.
You’re sure you could. But you want to be a singer.
Your father changes little over the months you spend in school, but he does at least seem happier that you’re gone every day from before he’s awake until late in the evening when he’s mostly too drunk to pay you much mind. You are left to study in peace, for the most part, but you still know better than to make noise. That, of course, will always be too dangerous.
When you come home from school one day, your father is not drunk, but he is angry. You can see the anger coming off him in waves, feel it as he stares you down, holding a letter in his hand, shaking it angrily and shoving it in your face.
“Explain this, brat,” he growls, and you dutifully take the letter from him - careful not to rip it, or pull too hard and make him angrier - and begin to scan its contents.
Dear Mr. Ripley,
It is my honest suggestion that your daughter moves further with her studies than we can teach her at our school. I would recommend sending Anna to a proper academy - I have heard wonderful things about the schools in Emon, but I’m sure you could find something closer. She is truly brilliant, and deserves the best education she can receive. She simply can’t get that here.
Regards,
Victor Sharpe
Mr. Sharpe is your math teacher, and he’s one of the most vocal proponents of your abilities. You’re already two years ahead in that class, and you’re still mostly bored - you can solve anything they give you if you think about it long enough, even the special problems he writes for you. He’s been telling you for ages that you should ask your father about finding somewhere better to put your talents to use.
“What the fuck is this?” Your father asks again, snatching the paper back from you. You flinch as it tears a little at the edge.
“It’s a letter saying I should go to a boarding school,” you say, not knowing what better answer there could be.
Maybe he doesn’t want a real answer, because he backhands you across the face, your cheek immediately stinging from the impact. He grabs you by the front of your shirt and lifts you into the air, and you’re not sure what he’s going to do next, but it’s going to hurt.
You stay there for the next several minutes, or maybe hours, as you are beaten. Your father has enough power around the city to bruise you with little consequence, the most it ever earns you is a few concerned stares. Sometimes people at school ask you where the bruises come from, but you never tell them the truth. You’re not allowed to tell them the truth, and although you’re also not allowed to lie or to not answer, this time the lies are safest.
When your father is satisfied - when your eyes are black, when your lips are split and bloodied, when you have handprints and bruises across your skin - he throws you against the wall of your bedroom and locks the door from the outside.
Why does he care so much if you go to school somewhere else, you wonder. You imagine it must be the theory you’ve had for years, that he wants someone to hurt and he can’t hurt anyone if you’re gone, but it still seems foolish to keep you around like this. You think about this all night, mulling it over in your mind, musing upon his reasons. And eventually, for the first time in your life, you think of something - you think of running away. You’ve never thought about running away before, and it startles you when it crosses your mind. The idea kind of scares you - where would you go? How would you get there? What would you do once you arrived? Maybe your teachers are right, maybe you could go to school somewhere else, but how would you get in with no test scores, no recommendations, and no address to live at?
You still think about it, though. Hard to shake the thought of finally being free of it all, both the burning hatred of your father and the constant dullness of your classes. You really could do it, you're sure - you know you’re smart, you’re pretty sure you’re a genius, and you would work hard to keep up your grades and do well in classes and on projects. The biggest barrier is…
Well, the biggest barrier right now is being let out of your room.
You spend days in there, which wasn’t an unusual occurrence when you were younger, but it is now that you’ve been in school for a while. Usually now that you have somewhere you’re expected to be your father takes his anger out in other ways, whether that’s beating you til you bleed or making you wait outside in the heat or the cold until he decides to let you in. Even with how much sway he has in the town, most people would still notice and care that you’ve been missing from classes for a week. Your teachers, certainly, would worry - they like you, or at least appreciate you, and you know they would be concerned if you didn’t show back up. But still, your father does not relent, and you spend over a week in your room, burning through most of your hoarded food and basically all of your water. Even rationing your supplies - which you are more than used to doing - this is still difficult. Usually you are at least taken out for beatings, and sometimes you are left to crawl back to your room instead of being thrown into it, and that gives you a chance to steal things from the kitchen or at least grab something off the counter before he notices you. But this is different, and while you’ve squirreled away a great deal of extra in case of something like this, it’s still hard, and your stomach aches for food even more than normal, and your lips dry and crack and bleed a little from the minuscule amounts of water you take in daily.
Eventually, you are released from your glorified prison cell, and your father beats you one last time before shoving you outside.
“You want to go so bad, fine. Get out.”
In front of the house is a carriage - a nice one, polished wood, well-fed horses present to drive it. The driver, a man around your father’s age, steps off the side of the carriage and walks toward you.
“Am I correct in assuming you are Anna?” He asks, and your throat is too dry to have much of a conversation, so you just nod.
“Well, Anna, it’s a pleasure to meet you. I’m here to take you to your new school. Do you have your bags packed?”
You don’t have anything, because this isn’t something you knew was happening, so you shake your head.
“Mr. Ripley?” He turns his attention toward your father. He, in turn, turns his head toward you, leveling his glare with your eyes.
“Go.”
You go. You pack your clothes, what you have, in the bag you take to school. You bring the books you’ve been given by your teachers, and the few that the library staff gave you as gifts, shoving them into the bag under your clothes so that no one will notice them as you carry the bag out. You pack the rest of the food and water you have, just in case, and you put on your shoes and go back outside.
“Wonderful,” the carriage driver says, seemingly unfazed by your too-thin, dirty state, and he motions for you to get in the cart.
You get in the cart.
“Where are we going?” You ask as you drink the rest of your water. You have been reassured, not by the driver but by the supplies on the inside of the cart, that you will have more to drink later, so you assume it’s okay to use yours up to be able to talk.
“To Emon,” he says, turning his head back toward you to make conversation. “To the best institute there, where you’ll be getting in several years early. What do you want to do with your life, Anna? What do you think this school has to offer you?”
I want to be a singer, you think, and then you remember that that’s not a good enough answer.
“I want to create,” you say instead.
“An innovator! Well, I’m already looking forward to whatever fascinating things you’ll come up with. Your teachers praised your intelligence beyond what I could have expected even after their initial recommendation letters-”
“They sent letters?” You cut in, confused. You knew they’d written to your father, but all the way to Emon? Just to talk about you?
“Of course! You were given glowing recommendations, and they were happy to include your preliminary test results and some examples of your work. You’re one of the most talented students we’ve ever had come in as a first-year, and at your age… well, you’d have to be a borderline genius to get in, and from all of your records, it would seem you are. So congratulations, Anna, on being accepted into the Emon Institute for Intellectual Advancement.”
That sounds a little pretentious. They could just say school, you think. But presumably, they have to sound fancy in order to seem prestigious, so you make no comment about that.
“Thank you,” you say instead. “I’m looking forward to applying myself to the best of my ability.”
“You’ll do wonderfully, then. Your teachers say you have a wonderful work ethic - you’ll need it! Classes at the Institute are rigorous, and you’ll need to put as much effort in as you can. But that should be no problem for you.”
“I hope not,” you reply, not sure what else to say.
“If you want to innovate - to create, as you said - then you’re going to the right place. Magic, math, science, even artificing and technological advancement - we have growth paths for everything. As long as you’re willing to learn, we’ll have something to teach you.”
That will be a welcome change, you think, but you again make no comment.
“Well, we have a long journey ahead of us. We’ll make several stops, so don’t worry about us staying fed or anything like that. If you want any snacks, there’s plenty back there, and water should you want it. Did you bring anything to do?”
“I brought books.”
“A wonderful way to pass the time. Your reading level is nearly on par with a university student’s according to your teachers, did they tell you that?”
“They didn’t,” you say, and then append: “but I’ve read all day every day since I was four, so it doesn’t surprise me.”
“And how old are you now, Anna?”
Are you eight? Nine? You don’t keep up, and neither does anyone else, or at least they don’t mention it. You feel like saying you’re nine might be underselling yourself if you’re eight, but you also think saying eight would be bragging if you're nine.
Well, he seems to think you’re smart already, so…
“Eight,” you reply, trying to sound confident.
“I am so looking forward to what you can do, Anna, if you’re only eight and you’ve already done so much.” He says, and turns back to driving the carriage.
This is a welcome change, you think, even if you weren’t expecting it. Maybe you can actually learn here. Maybe being a singer was a long shot, but at least now you can do something, anything at all, instead of sitting in the back of the classroom solving math problems of your own design.
The Emon Institute for Intellectual Advancement, you remind yourself of the name.
That doesn’t sound so bad.

RULES:
All fictional women from a category will be randomized, and put into polls
Whoever gets 50 votes automatically proceeds into the next round. There won't be only one winner for each poll!
We will do one category at the time. We'll start with books.
We'll decide on a winner of each category, and then whoever had the most votes, will proceed into the Final 10.
I'll calculate how many votes each woman got, so that at the end of the voting, you can see how many other women also adored your favourite ones :)
This also means that once you vote, if there's someone else you also want to see in the finals, you can reblog and let your followers know who already has enough votes, and who needs more in order to proceed. I'll also sometimes reblog polls announcing that a certain character has made the cut, and now others need your attention. We're trying to see which ones are loved and adored enough to actually get a lot of votes, even with competition. The voting starts at the end of nominations!
(POLLS ARE COMING SHORTLY)

Some fun bits from the LoVM season 2 trailer! Spoilers from the campaign and probably the season!   In no particular order:
Tumblr media
Zahra and Kash!!! I am so excited for Zahra and Kash!!
Tumblr media
The Deathwalker’s Ward! And potentially Whisper, though more likely it’s one of his regulars.
Tumblr media
Kayley and Dr Dranzel performing with Scanlan!
Tumblr media
Broom!!! I think the dragon is Raishan but context makes me think Umbrasyl. Does this mean lovm-canonical Gern Blanston?
Tumblr media
Kiki has a new autumn-y outfit. Im not entirely sure if Pike’s is the same. Pike does have a cute ponytail going on.
Tumblr media
This shot has Kiki in her new outfit, Vax in the new armour, and Vex is holding Fenthras. (Percy also seems to have Diplomacy going). So this is pretty late-game. We know this arc will be two seasons so I dont think its quite Thordak yet. Maybe Vorugal?
Tumblr media
This one I’m a little stuck on. My first thought was Fassbender, but it seems to be blasting Vax in the shadow realm. Maybe the androsphinx? Though it seems he’s been merged with the gynosphinx re talk of Vestiges, and there’s a few shots that look to me like they’re at The Slayers Take. It could be a representation of the Raven Queen, though its not her usual mask.  Curious to hear yall’s thoughts.
Tumblr media
Last one - my initial thought was Daxio followed by Emon, but now I’m wondering if this is Westruun re Kevdak. I only see Kiki and Pike, and I do remember they split up a bit in Westruun.  Based on this; no sign of Marquet or Anna Ripley so far (though Kiki does seem to be high on something, that might just be the Feywild, so I’m guessing this season we start with The Slayers Take in Vasselheim, go to the Sunken Tomb, then Kevdak and Umbrasyl, then the Feywild and we end with Vorugal. So that puts us halfway through the Vestiges and halfway through the dragons.  Im also extremely excited to see what they’ve changed and how, what new perspectives we might see, what surprises are in store.

Text
This fight is assuming that the characters are at the same (max) level and have access to all of their abilities/weapons/spells.
This poll is excluding the BBEGs, who will have their own poll. For the purposes of this poll, Lucien is in his normal tiefling/pre-somnovem form.
