Ash: I don't know how to tell you this, but... I love you.
Mary: That's great, Ash. Especially considering the fact we've been married for 6 fucking years.

Columbo in "Broken Gravity"
For some reason I was possessed to write an Apex/Columbo fanfiction where Columbo investigates Ash's attempted murder of Horizon.
I'm well aware that the intersection between these two fandoms is likely minuscule but once I had the idea, I couldn't help myself.
You can find it here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/45550297

Give Me A Reason (Part 4)
Happy Memorial Day! This is part four to the ‘reasons why a Legend would tickle you’ headcanon that I got a while ago. This one features Horizon and Loba. Just as an FYI, these are long, but I had a blast writing them. I hope you enjoy!
Horizon
Astrophysicist, researcher, Apex Legend…there’s only one title that she has that stands a tide above the rest: mother.
Although Dr. Somers has flattened many a Legend who came between her and her promise, she has a naturally maternal way about her.
Outside of the games, Mary is approachable and friendly, and enjoys spending her free time with scones and tea.
Even if she didn’t become an Apex Legend, all mothers have two main superpowers: knowing when someone’s feeling glum, and knowing whether or not someone is ticklish.
So, when you declined her post match invitation for a light meal, it raised a red flag…but, she didn’t want to jump to conclusions just yet.
“Oh, do you not like tea, dear? I’m sure I have something else. Maybe coffee? Bit late in the day for it if you ask me, but I do have decaf, if you’d like.”
You politely declined again, claiming that you were just exhausted from your last match, and said that you were going to turn in early for the night.
The red flag raised higher; but, not wanting to pry, she promised to save you something for tomorrow.
However, something told her to check up on you before heading to bed herself.
 Mary approached your bedroom door with the still warm food that she’d made just for you.
She gently knocked on the door, saying “Hi, love. I know you said you were turning in for the night, but I cannae sleep knowing that you’d be going to bed on an empty stomach. Could you please try and eat something? It’s still warm.”
You didn’t answer her, but surely you didn’t fall asleep that fast, right?
Mary decided to come in anyway; and, now that the door was open, she could clearly hear the sound of you crying.
She immediately came rushing to your aid; you were underneath at least four blankets but somehow, Dr. Somers found your back and rubbed it soothingly.
“What ever is the matter, dear? What’s gotten you so upset?”
You didn’t even want to talk to Ajay about what was bothering you; what was the point? No one understood how you felt anyway.
Maybe it was the comforting touch, or maybe it was her being a mom…either way, you found yourself spilling your troubles to her, crying your eyes out.
What started as a hand on your back turned into a warm embrace as Mary pulled you to her and shushed you.
“Oh, I’m so sorry you’re upset. It’ll be alright. I’ll see to it…okay?”
This got Mary thinking; how many times did Newton feel this way, with no one to comfort him?
She shook her head; she didn’t want to start thinking that way, and she wanted to give you her full attention.
After a while, your sobs quieted, and your breathing regulated.
You said you’d felt a little better, but Mary wasn’t convinced.
To prove it, you asked about the food she made, now trying to show a willingness to eat.
But Horizon had something else in mind.
Smiling sweetly, she said “Why, I made [your favorite food]! Though I’ve heard that it’s best served with a side of giggles.”
You were still in her arms, so it was easy for her to trap you and gently spider her nails along your torso.
At first you whined and hid your face, trying not to laugh, but Mary was determined.
“Come on, love, where’s that smile? I know it’s there somewhere. Maybe…”
She tried other spots, testing to see where you were most ticklish, and your loud squeal told her that she’d struck gold.
She laughed along with you, saying, “There we go! That’s much better.”
When she felt a little mischievous, her gentle tickles turned into scribbles over your most ticklish spots.
“DR. SOHOHOMERS!” Now your laughter was louder, filling up the room, and Horizon responded with a warm chuckle.
“What? I’m only tryin’ to get you to smile! I cannae figure out why you’re laughing so hard.”
As she’s tickling you, it’s not clear who’s laughing harder between the two of you.
She stops when she’s 110% sure that you’re nothing but smiles and giggles.
While you’re recovering, she’ll brush your hair away from your face and ask, “Feeling better now, dear? I hope I didn’t tucker you out too much.”
You gave her an impish look and stuck out your tongue, meaning that you felt a lot better.
You went to go eat your food, but she stopped you, claiming that your meal would go much better with tea and maybe one of her scones.
Here’s another scenario: imagine that you’re stressed about something, be it work, school, or just life in general.
Space mom will come to your aid again; you’ve been studying for the past three hours, refusing to take a break until you understand the material.
Horizon, knowing how important your studies are to you, will stop by with a light snack and drink.
She assumed you were taking a break and may want to eat something; but, when she finds you still hunched over your textbook, she tsks softly.
“(Y/N), you’ve been at this for quite some time. Why not give it a rest and come back to it later?”
She didn’t understand what you mumbled, but after she put your food down, it was time for an intervention.
One by one, your books randomly floated up and tumbled off your desk.
You groaned and leaned over to pick up the book, frowning.
“Dr. Somers, please, I really need to finish this.”
She raised a brow, “I haven’t moved. I only said you should take a wee break.”
When you sat up again, even more books had floated up and fallen on the floor.
You leered at her and she innocently put up her hands, grinning.
“Honest and true, petal, I’ve been here the whole time! So don’t make that face at me.”
You looked away for a second, just to open the book back up, and then you felt it…
Your chair was floating.
This time you clearly saw the gravity lift that Mary clearly put underneath you; the astrophysicist moved closer to you to catch you.
“Oops, sorry! I didn’t mean to that, I’m haverin’. I won’t let you fall, dinnae worry.”
Horizon kept her promise and caught you, then lowered you to the floor.
But her trying to “steady” you somehow included ticklish pokes along your torso.
You squirmed in her arms, squealing. “I’m okahahahy, Dr. Sohohomers! You cahan lehet goho!”
Horizon scoffed. “Nonsense, you’re wobbling all over the place! Hold still, dear, I’m trying to help ya.”
“I cahan’t! You’re tihihickling meee--”
Mary poked at some really sensitive spots, and you tumbled to the ground.
She held back a chuckle, following you, and continuing to poke and tickle you.
“Goodness, you’re not very light on your feet, are you?”
“Nohohoho! Plehehease dohohn’t, I’m trying tohohoho stuhuhudy!”
“I know you are! I know how important your studies are to you, love. But it’s just as important to take a break every now and then.”
So after a good 10-15 minutes of laughing yourself silly, Mary finally stopped.
She helped you up and fixed your hair and clothes.
She caught a glimpse of one of your textbooks and picked it up.
“Oh! This is what you’re studying? I know this subject like the back of my hand. Let me help you!”
You ate while she explained the material to you; to this day, you’re not sure how she did it, but now it all made perfect sense.
So, no matter how you’re feeling, Horizon will always be there to give you a pick-me-up.
Loba
Loba makes it look easy, but being a professional thief is hard work.
People won’t hand over their belongings willingly, so she has to regularly adapt her tactics.
A sure fire way to get people to lower their guard is to flirt with them.
It’s worked on many a Legend, and you’re the next one on her radar.
If you’re on the shy side, Loba’s gonna have a field day with you.
She’ll ping a purple barrel stabilizer for you, and hold it out with a manicured hand.
You thank her and take it, but for some reason, she didn’t let go.
So you don’t have a choice but to look up at her, meeting her eyes, and she gives you a sultry smirk.
“Of course, beautiful. Anything for a treasure like you.”
She finally lets go when she scores a blush outta you.
Now, let’s say you aren’t shy, and you’re the one who pings some Legendary loot for her.
“Aren’t you sweet? Thank you.”
You grin and say “No problem, gold shields tend to go well with diamonds like you.”
Loba raised a brow; it’s rare when someone flirts back with her. But it’s a happy surprise and a very welcome one.
She’ll chuckle and step closer to you, one of her legs pressing up to yours. Then she’ll lean down to whisper in your ear.
“Careful, beautiful. Saying things like that will get you in trouble.”
You’ve never been one to back off from a challenge, so you brush your hand against hers and say “I have a knack for that.”
Loba grinned; each season of the Games kept getting interesting.
No matter what your personality is like, a big part of flirting is physical touch.
Imagine standing at her Black Market, searching through the loot, when you feel a gentle hand on your side.
You initially tense and recoil, but the thief shushes you.
“Relax, angel. It’s only me. I hope you’ve found something that you like.”
Her fingers lightly trace your side, and you pray to whatever Gods up there that she didn’t hear your breath hitch.
But nothing got past Loba; she 100% heard it, and her eyes sparkled with mischief.
Determined to keep your cool, you said “Yeah, I’m good. I just needed some ammoho--”
She gave your side a light pinch, making you jump and bump into the Black Market.
You turned around and opened your mouth to confront her, but that look she was giving you spelled trouble backwards and forwards.
She knew.
You stood there like a deer in headlights, trying to say something, but Loba beat you to the punch.
“A bit ticklish, are we? How adorable.”
You shook your head and made an excuse, giving her time to close the distance and poke again.
You squealed and moved to grab her hand, but she took yours instead and pulled it above your head, keeping your other arm pinned between her and the wall.
“I think someone’s lying~.” Loba purred; she’d pulled you into a corner, away from prying eyes, and fluttered her long nails under your chin and neck.
While you struggled and giggled, you felt her lean down again with the side of her forehead pressed to yours.
“I don’t like liars, (Y/N).”
“I’m nahahahat lyihihihng!” You didn’t even believe yourself, and your bright red face betrayed you before you spoke.
You were literally saved by the bell, by the ring closing announcement, but Loba didn’t immediately let you go.
She tilted your chin upwards, still drumming her fingers along your skin, and grinned at your giggly, frantic state.
“Don’t go far, beautiful. I’m not done with you yet.”
She finally let you go and closed up shop; you, despite what she said, hightailed it to the next ring.
You weren’t focused on the match anymore, and Loba didn’t make it any easier.
During lulls, if you were brave enough to look, she’d throw you teasing smirks and wriggle her nails at you.
You’d bumped into your third teammate, Bloodhound, numerous times in your haste to keep your distance.
But, while you were positioned at a window with your Longbow, Loba snuck up behind you.
She slowly leaned down and whispered “I’m going to get youuu…” while she scuttled her nails at your side.
You yelped and accidentally fired your gun, hitting no one, but making a lot of noise.
Bloodhound shushed you from the other side of the room. “You will give away our position, (Y/N).
You apologized and holstered your weapon to move closer to them, and totally didn’t break into a light jog when you heard Loba’s heels behind you.
It had gotten to the point where you were too successful in avoiding her, so Loba said she needed extra heavy ammo.
She claimed that her ultimate was on cooldown, and you were the only other person using a heavy weapon.
You begrudgingly gathered two stacks of ammo, but you held them out to Hound instead.
“Could you give these to Loba for me?”
You didn’t need to see Hound’s face to know that the question threw them off.
“Er, Loba is just in the adjacent building. Are you unable to deliver these to her yourself?”
“...Well, I could, but--”
The door opened and in stepped the thief, giving you the small, impish little grin.
“No need to trouble them, (Y/N). I’m right here, hand it over.”
You refused. You, ever so slightly, backpedaled as Loba approached you with an outstretched hand.
Bloodhound cleared their throat and excused themselves from the room.
Loba cooed at you as she backed you into a corner again.
“What’s the matter? I just need the ammo. Just give it here, I won't bite.”
If she got any closer, you knew you’d be in trouble. So you threw your arm out in front of you and pushed the ammo into her hands.
Loba chuckled. “There, was that so hard? Thank you.”
“...No problem.” You didn’t move a muscle until Loba gave you some space and reloaded her gun.
You let out the breath you’d been holding and moved to rejoin your teammate.
…At least, that’s what you did.
Before you could open the door, there was a quick shuffle of heels, and a hand that ended up on top of yours.
“Oh, you didn’t think that was all I wanted, did you?”
You gasped and withdrew your hand, but Loba grabbed it again and spun you around.
She used the momentum to push you towards the floor, holding your hand tight, and her other hand prodded all over your torso.
“Nahahaha! Lobahahaha stahahaha!” You whined. You did your best to fend her off with one hand, but that one ended up pinned under her knee. “Stop! Hound neeheds us!”
“They’ll be fine for the time being. You, on the other hand, are incredibly ticklish for an Apex Legend…”
Loba’s teases are top of the line; no other Legend can match her.
And, her nails should be registered as deadly weapons. They tickle and they tickle a lot.
She can be a rough or a gentle ler; it depends on which approach gets her victims laughing the most.
When she finds a sensitive spot, she’ll say things like “Ooo, I like this spot. Listen to those cute little giggles.”
Or, “Aw, that tickles? Poor baby~.”
Loba is the type who will slowly lower her wriggling nails towards your worst spot, smiling as you giggle and try to reason with her.
She’s also known for blowing raspberries and/or ticklish kisses along her victim’s neck and stomachs.
This may or may not leave lipstick marks that you’ll have to address later.
Loba doesn’t stop until you’re a puddle of laughter, or in this case, when the round ends.
Hound was able to pick off the remaining squads with well placed Kraber shots.
She finally let you go, but that surely wasn’t the last time you’d see her.
Any time you needed something, Loba went out of her way to make sure you had to get it from her.
That didn’t mean she tickled you every time; she liked to keep people guessing.
And she especially loved to watch you crumble to pieces as you tried to figure out if you were about to get rekt.
If you’re ever foolish enough to take something from Loba, or keep her from getting it, it’ll be your funeral.
You swear that you’re never going anywhere near her again…until you check your pockets.
At the end of the day, Loba’s still a thief…but maybe, if you come visit her, she’ll give you back your things.
Just be prepared to laugh before you go.

Anymore catalyst x horizon? I love this ship so much 😭❤️ I keep re-reading your other headcanons for them 😭
I'm glad you like my other work! Honestly astrowitch is one of my favorite ships in the game hdjdhaj I love them. I don't know if I have anymore headcannons that I haven't already said so I wrote a small fic instead, I hope you like it :)
Contains: hurt/comfort, established relationship, mention of child loss, grieving
I haven't written hurt/comfort since like middle school please don't bully me hdbsjsj
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The room Horizon sat in smelled heavily of incense and herbs. There were many plants lining the window sills and pretty much every other surface in the room. The space was comfortable, it felt welcoming and friendly.
Across the table in front of her sat Catalyst, looking ethereal like always. She was wearing comfortable clothes, a knit sweater and some sweatpants. She held a deck of tarot cards in her hands, shuffling them expertly. Ah, yes. They were having their weekly tea date. Catalyst had offered to give Horizon a tarot reading, since she seemed more spaced out than usual.
"Just think about what's been troubling you. It could be in the form of a question, or not." Catalyst's voice cut through the silent room, it was smooth. Horizon closed her eyes and thought about it. The room fell into comfortable silence again other than the sound of cards being shuffled and placed on the table. "Okay, open your eyes. Let me see what the cards have to say."
Horizon sipped her tea, tasting like lemon and lavender, and watched her girlfriend flip over the cards. Her fingers were entrancing, the way they moved without stutter or hesitation. She always seemed so confident in her actions. Horizon couldn't help but be amazed.
"The empress, reversed... Five of cups... The sun, reversed... oh Mary, you poor thing." Catalyst's expression changed, and she looked at Horizon in worry. It was obvious the cards weren't saying anything good.
"You're gonna have to tell me what they mean, Tressa. I'm not a mind reader." Horizon joked, trying to cover up her nervousness at the situation. She hated being vulnerable. She was supposed to be the one to comfort others, so when the situation flipped around on her it made her feel weak and scared.
To distract her from her discomfort, Horizon focused on the drawings that adorned the cards. They were hand drawn, all signed with a small star and moon in the bottom corner. Catalyst had made them recently and insisted on giving every legend a tarot reading to break them in. Every reading so far had been pretty positive, singing praise of strength and intelligence. This was the first time Horizon had seen Catalyst so troubled by the cards.
"Are you sure you want to hear it? I'm afraid it will be quite harsh."
"I'm stronger than you think, dear. I can take whatever this deck of cards will tell me." Horizon faked a smile and gestured for the other to go ahead with the reading. Still, Catalyst hesitated for a second.
"Okay," Catalyst sighed. "I just want you to know that I'm here for you."
The Empress is often a sing of fertility and femininity. When reversed, it signifies an emptiness within a person or that insecurities are showing. It can also signify a lack of progress.
"I feel like, maybe you are struggling to heal from a trauma that happened in your life. You miss something, it's making you feel empty, and you haven't been able to accept that it will never come back."
Horizon stared straight at the card, not wanting to see the pity that she could tell was in Catalyst's gaze. She didn't agree nor disagree with the statement, she couldn't bear to lie, but she couldn't admit her struggle either. So she chose to sit in silence and let her girlfriend move on to the next card.
The five of cups is a symbol of negative feelings, and often even just the sight of it makes a person feel discontent. They may be feeling disappointment or like they've been let down by someone close to them. It is also often associated with loss, grief, and mourning.
"You're grieving for someone... or something." Horizon could tell that Catalyst knew exactly who she was grieving for. "You're mourning something that you've lost. This can be the same thing that caused that sense of emptiness."
This time, Catalyst reached over to take Horizon's hand once she was done talking. She rubbed her thumb soothingly over her girlfriend's knuckles, and suddenly Horizon was aware of how her hands looked in comparison to the younger woman's. Horizon wasn't old, but she definitely wasn't young either.
She didn't understand how Catalyst was so okay with dating someone so much older than her. Sure, the age gap wasn't even ten years, but most people felt weird about the whole "lost in a blackhole for 87 years" thing. Catalyst didn't seem to mind though, in fact, she thought it was super interesting how space worked.
"Let's get through the last card. Is that okay, Mary?"
Horizon just nodded, finding that she was too choked up to speak.
The Sun represents joy, happiness, confidence, and success. Somewhat obviously The Sun reversed is a symbol of depression, pessimism, and overall negativity. This may be something bad that has happened to a person, causing them to feel negative, or it can also be a sign that you are being too unrealistic and need to ground yourself.
"The last card is telling me that the cause of your emptiness, your trauma, is preventing you from continuing on in your life. You can't do certain things that you'd like to because of this negativity bearing down on you." Catalyst looked up when she finished talking while Horizon continued to stare at the cards. "Mary... I know you miss Newton."
"I don't want to talk about him, Tressa." For the first time since she entered the room, Horizon didn't try to fake being happy. Catalyst knew that she was grieving, and that fact made her want to hide away forever.
"That's alright, love. What can I do to help you?"
"Some tea would be nice, and maybe we can just sit together?" Horizon looked up into Catalyst's eyes for the first time since the tarot reading began. In her gaze, she found the pity she was afraid of, but it was mostly overwhelmed by adoration and care.
"That sounds lovely. Let me put a kettle on." Catalyst stood up from the table, gently letting go of Horizon's hand as she walked towards the kitchen. "I assume you'd like something calming? Lavender?"
"You know me so well, dear." Horizon smiled. As Catalyst busied herself getting the tea together, Horizon took to running her fingers over the drawings on the cards. Such delicate, pretty things, and yet they tell you all your fears and worries.
Oh Newt, how I miss you...
Look I haven't seen this come up in the tags, but I didn't look too long. I just wanted to get this off my chest
I am so mad. Why do they have to use AI art in the trailer? Aren't you making enough money with the stupid buster sword to "justifie" to pay a real artist??
Like.. I get it! You're not showing these for more then half a second! Why spend a lot of money on them? No one will notice! Right? - anyone who pauses the trailer even for a second notices something is off. Maybe they can't place it right away but the human eye notices somethings wrong.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those two are just. Rough.
Valks nose is facing a different direction then the rest of her face, the belt buckles are melting, her left hand is a blob, the metal wing behind her back- i could go on!
Not a single pompom on wattson is placed or rendered right, the poor face an her sleeve looks in pain, the zippers, her right hand..
Tumblr media
This one is your main selling point! And you can't give him a proper elbow on his right arm?? His left upper arm is shaded like it isn't part of him. The zipper. The sword! is not! Straight!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are fine enough I guess.
Wraiths fingers are a mess, her face is too shiny/pundgy, her hair change colour where they go near the collor, whatever. Horizons fingers are a mess- what else is new, the zipper, her hair, bla bla bla. Newcastle is probably the best? Or I'm already too tired with this shit to properly look at this mess. Idk what happened with his pauldron or wth is going on with his right shoulder/upper arm placement. But whatever at this point.
I'm just so mad
If EA or whoever says you can't pay an artist 20h on a pic you only see a fraction of a second in a trailer. I guess. But.. can't you pay an artist to work for 1h per piece to clean that shit up? I know we are probably past a point where AI would just be another tool in an artists belt. Because apparently the goal is to replace the need for humans in art. But idk. I feel like it could have been solved better. Anything would have been better.
who is ash
oh boy. oh crikey crackers. who ISNT ash is what you should be asking.
ok so basically yeah ash, aka dr. ashleigh reid, is a character who first showed up as a boss fight in the game titanfall 2, and then ended up getting increasingly plot relevant in the spinoff, apex legends, until she became a playable character in november 2021.
to speedrun you through her lore basically all u need to know is:
she STARTED OFF as ur run of the mill human who was born in a particularly shitty bit of space in the early 27th century. She spent some of her life doing assorted illegal shit like idk fighting stuff.... drug stuff.... et cetera... also she was a scientist bc multitasking queen. also her brother died when he was rlly young remember that ok its important for later.
ANYWAYS she gets hired by these mercenaries called the apex predators (yes, like apex legends, its a whole thing) to basically be assistant to this astrophysicist called dr. mary somers because the outlands (another, nearby bit of space) is on the brink of an energy crisis, mary is one of the people trying to avert this and something something profit. quite how this employment happened we do not currently know, im just assuming that the apex predators are players of 6d multiverse time travel chess for the time being.
anyways, a few years pass, she and mary end up becoming close tm. they work out that the branthium (brand new energy resource) is obtainable from a black hole so ashleigh offers to accompany her on the trip to retrieve it and mary just agrees without a second thought bc. yeah.
So they get there. mary goes off in the little shuttle thing which is connected to a tether to the main ship. after she sends the branthium through the tether to the ship, ashleigh just. hits the convenient "tether disconnect" button and voila, she is now Branthium Expert No.1 in the whole outlands.
Twelve years pass. progress is slow, more scientists are recruited for the project, ashleigh also ends up being a sort of mentor figure to mary's son (newton) who wants to be a scientist to 1) save the outlands and 2) figure out if marys still out there (more on that in a bit.) also he thinks ashleigh is like The coolest person ever, especially when he tags along when she goes to the gym and sees her training w weapons and stuff and then like, guilt trips his grandma into getting him some cool nunchucks???? slay.
oh yeah did i mention that newton was the same age when the black hole incident happened as ashleighs brother when he died? yeah let that sink in.
he actually gives her the nunchucks which she literally holds onto forever which is pretty sweet.
anyways eventually ashleigh and the other scientists work out how to refine the branthium, but just when things seem to be going soo well for the outlands ashleigh brings all the apex predator mercenaries to attack the lab and seize the branthium.
unfortunately, the scientists made the robot that they made to help them in the refinery good at fighting. and the one scientist who always thought ashleigh was super sus ends up impaling her, and her mission fails, and she dies!! the outlands is saved.
actually i lied! ashleighs not dead. in the titanfall universe, you can get your mind conveniently shunted into a robot (technically called a simulacrum if you want to be fancy) to handily cheat death! this comes with the minor drawbacks:
1) losing some memories
2) youre completely incapable of perceiving yourself as a simulacrum, and your programming literally filters out any mention that you hear/see of what you actually are
so things go a little funky for ashleigh, and what ends up happening is all the bits of her that are good at surviving and whatnot make it through to the sim version, and all the rest gets tucked away in a dormant bit of her mind.
the sim persona is known as ash.
she works for the apex predators doing mercenary stuff piloting titans around (big cool mechs) and also doing some minor torture during this one war by pitting enemy pilots against murder robots for what she says is testing efficiency but really she just really likes watching things kill each other.
shes killed for the second time by this guy called jack cooper who is fighting against the people who hired the predators to back them up in the war.
then she's rebuilt.
then shes dismantled again by her old boss and he throws her head into another dimension.
then decades later some bloodsport competitors from the outlands put her head back together because of a whole drama im not getting into now, because the people who run the outlands want the access codes to olympus (that city she did science in that one time) because they want to hold their bloodsport there. then they put her in a bin.
and guess who scoops her up.
the robot she came up with 75 years ago to help in the refinery i SHIT YOU NOT. because she lives with him and he thinks theyre friends, he calls her his girlfriend.
ash is not happy with this.
she doesnt have any memories, but she gets back her sim ones when her old boss swings by to say hi and tell her that her old friend is back (👀) and then she kinda fucks off for a few months to set up a fighting arena for her own amusement.
This fighting arena gets a bit compromised when this really awful old man puts some murder death vines on olympus for another drama im not getting into now. ash goes to complain to one of the bloodsport competitors, an astrophysicist, and then like some debris falls and she saves her from dying and then she talks about her family a bit even tho she doesnt rlly remember why?? and then she is kinda nostalgic again with the astrophysicist later even tho again. only has her sim memories at this point.
UNTIL and this is where things get funky.
there is a way to get the human memories back for relatively new sims, and that is to say a specific code at them. and someone now has an interest in doing this, because she thinks that ash actually used to be her best friend?
yeah so i actually lied again! marys not dead either, she escaped the black hole and is now competing in a bloodsport in the 28th century to fund her time travel research because time dilation.
anyways mary wakes her up but things go a bit wrong because ash ash and the original ashleigh personality dont recombine???? ash actually thinks that being a sim is GREAT now that she knows she is one, but this just makes her hate the human bits of her (who goes by leigh, by the way) because shes Not Perfect tm. she also goes Ohhhh THATS what blisk meant by an old friend... which is pretty funny all things considered
now ash is in the bloodsport basically just because she wants to prove shes better than anyone and she also really really wants to get rid of leigh.
her main idea for achieving this is for some reason finding and destroying the sword that impaled and killed her? she does it but its doesn't really do anything lol. she also pushes the granddaughter of the woman who killed her off a tower but this hasnt been addressed in a year and a half so. yeah.
and thats kind of all her lore for now. So Now You Know.
