The construction of a Grimwalker seems to require the use of magic and are created through several ingredients: a Galdorstone, Palistrom wood, Stonesleeper lungs, Selkidomus scales, and the bone of an ortet. Galderstones give forth power-enhancing properties .. Palistrom wood in itself is an enchanted item The two other items are from demons  and bones from that you are wishing to bring back / duplicate 

                          Could hunter possibly be considered a form of demon due to the attachments and partial makeup of construction using items from such things ? But then it breaks down into the furtherhood of why is the magical makeup lacking ? 

                                Does it take all the magic in these components just to hold together a corporal form , and draining the magic in the process to make such a thing ? it would explain why galderstones are dwendling , as they are objects known to weild power enhancing properties but what happens when one is fully drained , and is that even possible ?

  it would explain why not only ONE magical thing is required but 3 ... Magic from the maker , a galderstone AND palismen wood..

        Which breaks down even further into would the galderstone’s magic enhance the fact that Palistrom wood already holds a magical force and the ability to become sentient in the form of animals 

             does the galderstone need to amplify the magic inside the palistrom wood to enable it to take form and shape of a human sentience ? 

                     It’s interesting .. but I feel like I'm rambling too much already ..

Beckett doesnt remember much of his family, he knew he had one, but, a Family of Hunters had raided the area when he was younger, his earliest memory was being ripped away from his mother, hearing her beg for them to take her instead. there was a sister, but, he never knew if she lived or what became of her.

The hunter family, the Hannons, used him as their prized fighter in the rings, and their personal toy whenever they wanted him. they'd perfected drugging their shifters, to either enduce a bloodthirsty rage for the pits or a sedative where they'd be awake but compliant to whatever was done to them.

once an Unseelie Prince was captured and bought, their use for him dwendled except for the fighting pits, and once he'd been too injured after a fight to be deemed worth salvaging, they sent him to auction for slaughter.

Beck and a few others managed to break out, scattering to the winds before anyone knew they were gone. he now spends his time taking contracts to hunt the hunters, and try and protect the escape routes of the smuggling rings.

background story

Cyn was a child of war. The first born son to the Kingdom of the southern Isle, Cyn was the only known surviving Ramison. The Last Siege took place in midsummer, just before his 13th birthday. Cynfael managed to live only due to his cowardice and vowed to never act in pure self preservation again. It had brought nothing of any good, even though he was just a boy when their castle was sieged he was certain he could have helped or at the very least died along his twin brother Emmet fighting for their home. His wet nurse had hid him away thought the web of catacombs beneath the dungeon. If the family would survive it would be through him, the eldest son.

The castle was reduced to rouble and everyone he had loved was either slaughtered or missing.

Cyn disguised himself as just a simple mercenary, using the monster slayer skills of his family to make a living for himself. The Kingdom of the Southern Isles is all but forgotten now. Its never mentioned anymore besides the useless island lang the southern kingdoms constantly fight over and pass ownership.

Cyn spent most of his time working, earning enough to be able to stay in nicer inns and enjoy little luxuries when his body needed the rest. Over time mass monster populations dwendled and he was tasked with more mercenary type jobs. Called by lords or dukes to take care of little problems they had in their territories. Eventually he got a job for a "she-demon who pretends to be a midwife to steal the babies of the village no sooner than they're born" He did his researched, watched the woman for weeks. She seemed harmless to him but the village said otherwise. Stories abound that she ate the babies souls as they grew only to be still born or die shortly after. In reality this "she-demon" was the best midwife he'd ever seen. She had an impressive success rate. In a time human midwives procured 60% of the babies they tended the she-demon saved 95% of them. He'd watched her take care of a hopeless case, a small teen mother who clearly couldnt give birth safely. Both died in the process and the She-demon midwife grieved for a solid fortnight.

Cyn had all but given up on the case, this "monster"was different. She was helping the poorer community who couldn't afford normal doctors. He carried on to the next village where he was tasked with taking down a pack of vicious rabid dire wolves..... in the end they where werewolves and there was too many of them. Cyn retreated with several venom filled bites to the only physician he knew that could help.

In the end Andromeda wasn't able to save him from the werewolf venom but she was able to help him get use to his new reality, restored his health, and helped him find peace with what he was.

timeline:

age 12- family murdered in the last siege, became homeless rough

age 19- accepted into the Lions Croft Guild of Peace Keepers as a skilled monster hunter for the crown.

-works easily solo for 10 years-

age 29- tasked with killing the "she-demon" midwife-Andromeda, watches her for four months and decides to abandon the quest

age 30- begins questing again for the Peace Keepers Guild and tasked with killing the wolf pack. He looses for the first time in his career and slowly becomes werewolf over the next month. He immediately goes to Andromeda for help. She was the only doctor that wouldn't immediately kill him. He slowly learned to control the wolf within in and use it to his advantage to continue monster hunting.

age 31- marries Andromeda. The marriage is kept in secret, if the guild knew he married what they call a monster he would be exiled. He himself would be hunted and murdered if they knew he was a werewolf.

the injury in question was a quite severe gash that had come at the expense of his own carelessness. there were diseased noise still about shibuya; hiding in the cracks where no one might find them without effort. hanekoma was one of the few people in the city who could sense then and thus he gave himself the task of disposing of them. at least coco made use of the shop while he was kept separate. that was one thing he was happy he could assist with in some way.

the higher plane was not kind to him while he had been forbade from interacting within the underground during the most recent game in shibuya. in his own way, this was the angels way of making himself useful beyond writing his reports in post. things had simmered down for the most part. the plague noise had not been able to multiply, nor taking hosts so eliminating the dwendling numbers was thought to be such an easy task. would have, had he not been distracted.

❝  'parentally... not. seems this variation inhibits healin' factors. ❞ he's cradling his shoulder and the top of his wing. the bear had been eliminated, but the injury remained; blood staining his black shirt around where he grasped the wound shut. he had tried at length to self heal but it was his carelessness that got him in his position.

But there's traitors on both sides of this conflict which has me thinking that we shouldn't be surprised if both King D and the Bright Queen get got at this peace summit.

Cause, I mean, what would be a better boon to your plot of releasing Tharzidun than simultaneously destabilizing the two major powers on the continent.

Okay, it probably won’t happen but how funny would it be if Trent was arrested by the Concord for creating an international incident and (allegedly) murdering the Ruby of the Sea (there’s no body and she was last seen fleeing into the Tidespeak Tower where Ikithon was found with the unconscious body of Yussa Errenis (owner of the Open Quay and member of the Arcana Pansophical)). Like, what’s his defense? How do you talk your way out of that, and really who’s going to come to his defense? Ludanis? King Dwendle? Astrid and Eodwulf would sell him out for a corn chip, and are in a position where throwing him under the bridge makes the most sense for them.

I love the very dramatic dichotomy of the mighty nein and vox machina. MN had all of these connections, these small pieces and pockets of friends. Dont get me wrong, connections in high places, strong allies (essek, allura, yussa, bright queen and king dwendle kinda, assembly, cobalt soul) but they're disconnected. Essek is a friend but he has his own shit. There's no huge amout of friendship for the nein.

Vox machina had all these friends and connections. Gilmore and Whitestone and allura and kima, plus all the other folks they had helping during other fights. I know the nein have friends. But every step towards lucien feels like we are rapidly approaching final boss battles. Theyre not even level 15 yet (I think, only like 13? Maybe 14?)

On the subject of warframes, we’d like to point out Warpath is still an Autobot (a member of the Elite Guard, in fact) in this timeline, and it would feel odd if he was literally the only warframe Autobot in existence. (Not counting Omega Supreme, which is a cultural analysis in himself). But they’re defiantly rare.

But when it comes to the why- especially when you throw in Flightframes into the mix. As a kid, given that they always say ‘Autobots have spacebridges and Decepticons can fly’, we thought that the ability to fly was something Decepticons discovered after the war started- either making whole new ‘Cons or converting preexisting ones. It’s even possible that any ‘warframes’ we see were converted into such, and makes you wonder if the reason you see so few of them is that Cybertron made it illegal to give those upgrades to regular civilians unless their the ones doing the experiments coughcough JetstormandJetfire coughcough.

Alternatively, perhaps the Allspark is the thing that grants new life the ability to adapt and chose their forms, while without it you’ve gotta rely on cold constructed/made-to-order type frames seen in IDW. With what you’ve already mentioned about fear and control, no wonder they’d wanna keep picking peoples frame types for them, just in case. Who knows, perhaps they were keeping an eye on the pre-jet jet twins because, had they been allowed to pick their forms, they’d have become jets naturally. Maybe getting their wings for the first time was like finally stretching a limb they hadn’t even realized had been aching, half-dormant protocols to jump and zip around and get as much air time as possible finally making sense for ones, adapting to flight in a third the time it took them to learn to drive.

Or- let’s deviate for a second to talk about Ratchet’s age- he’s old. And yet, other ‘bots from the same era never seem as old as he does, even if they should be older. On one hand, maybe Warframes- like we see composing most of the Decepticon army, just live longer. Which would also explain how rare they are in modern Cybertron- not just making less, but the ones they are trying to make are taking longer to ‘cook’ and taking more resources to do so, explaining why they’d look to transitioning Autobots into these new forms rather then make them from scrap. On the other hand, that doesn’t explain the other Autobots we see from around the war times that are still ‘young’ in modern day, other then say Ratchet was already many, many vorns older then all of them. 

We’ve seen people throw out the idea that ‘Bots can upgrade and replace parts over time- and given Ratchets past experience with the war, his many years of medical experience, and Lockdown specifically, it’s no wonder he’d step away from the idea of hacking off his own parts and replacing them. Maybe he shares a bit of Yoketron’s believes not to use resources that could aid/create future generations just to keep yourself going. Which, speaking of Yoketron in what is definitely not a forced tradition-

We see him die- and come back in a New body when Prowl transfers the spark to a new protoform. A procedure Prowl doesn't even need to stop and think about, and never seemed to think Yoketron would be against. And when rewatching the series recently, we had to stop and rewind at that spot. Cause, and maybe it’s just us looking to far into things- do you think his new body looked younger then the old one? Less lines on the face? Despite being his old mind and spark, it’s a new body. And that, that could be the difference. 

For bots like Ultra Magnus, he could have led the Autobots for several generations in the the terms of a Cybertronian lifespan. Super ingrained in the old ways, and so established that it’s a real blow to the system when he’s knocked off his perch (and leaving everyone a bit floundered on how to go about replacing him). And for Ratchet, well, after everything he’s been through, it’s not really a surprise he’d turn down a protoform so a new spark could find it’s home.

But you also gotta keep in mind they lost a lot of protoforms to Lockdown (the decepticons could keep themselves going for a long time), and they had a lot of bodies to recover after the end of the war. Plus, if they had the frames to spare, they’d probably have given one to Ultra Magnus when his condition went critical. And when you read up what they planned with the scrapped season and Arcee teaching Sari- it’s heavily implied that she didn’t just not have students to teach cause of her memory loss- there weren’t any students. Even when she was gonna teach Sari, they were gonna draw attention to the fact she was the only student in class. That it’s not just that the Decepticons have stagnant numbers- the Autobots have been dwendling in how many new bots their able to make in the first place. No wonder they need civilian frames to step up and assume the position of war frames. 

Of course you also have to wonder how you make protoforms- we’d assume the All Spark has something to do with it just cause that would be fitting- but let’s be honest, the All Spark was a Plot Device that the writers never actually planned to have a deeper connection to the rest of the story, or really define in any way. It was mostly just ‘hey, we wanna do this fun and weird plot line. How’d it happen? Eh, and All Spark Shard did it or something’. 

And you know what? While a lot of people lean into the idea that Shockwave used to be on of Megatrons generals serving with him from the start of the war- he’s always seemed to young to us. The way he acts, referring to Ratchet as an ‘old’ model, his interactions with Lugnut come across like the latter is meeting this ‘competition’ for the first time, and who knows, perhaps the crossroad being young and his special ability was the reason he worked as a spy in the first place- if they scanned him, his spark and systems wouldn’t have a couple million years more on the clock then they should. And if they had all the protoforms, they could make as many new ‘Cons as they wanted. 

While the Autobots talk about the Decepticon cause like it’s a bygone problem, that all the ‘Cons would be old and run down by now- their doing just fine. Ready to attack whenever the moment arrives. And the Autobots are no where near prepared. 

(Also, depending on what the Allspark actually Is to the Cybertronians, Ratchets imminent reaction of ‘put it back where it came from or so help me’ can be various levels of dickish. But honestly, not out of character.)
